Although she expects alot from her students, she is realistic with her standards. She is serious about the development of student, and does what it takes to get student to achieve more. Great teacher.

Cecilia is great! She makes her students work hard, but is always reasonable and caring. Once I got As from her, I got 4.0's ever since!

Cecilia is very helpful and flexible. She expects you to work hard and show up for class. She assigns 7-8 papers and provides the help to get a good grade on each. I didn't like the two essays we had to write in class.

Cecilia has made me appreciate English again. She is very helpful and would stop anything she's doing in a heartbeat to help her students. She is very clear about assignments and provides plenty of time to complete them. The class does require hard work on your part.

Cecelia is a very hard professor, but pushes you to work hard and excel. If you are willing to work, definitely take her...if you tend to be a slacker choose someone else.

very helpful and insightful. wants the best for her students and is willing to sit one on one with you. when i had to turn in my research paper, she sat with me for a long time to go over everythign with me.

She is a great teacher and VERY helpful. We turned in a total of 8 papers. Galassi was wonderful with showing how papers should be organized and ways to research. Take this teacher if you are already good at english or intend to work hard. I had to try and I was the only A in the class! Eek!

i myself thought she was easy.... but others thought she was a little tough... i never pre-wrote and waited til the last minute to do all of her essays and i never got anything less than a B-.... yup, shes good!

Once she's done with her lectures, she'll let you leave early(this happens all the time, which is good). you know how boring it is if an english teacher keeps talking until the last minute.

GREAT TEACHER!, very nice and funny. explains everything very well. she will help you with any questions and help you to get an A. Gives you a few days off out of the semester for no reason. need to attend as much as you can, keeps track of every adsence, 3=drop. essays every 2 weeks, but easy and short. BEST english teacher!!!!

She's very helpful. Just do the work and you will get the score. Don't forget to do your homeworks. It makes a big difference for your grade.

She is VERY HELPFUL. Just ASK and she'll explain EVERYTHING to you in details with good examples. VERY energetic and funny. attendance and hw is MANDATORY. 9 papers to write, and you can fail up to 4. (they're not that hard) she prepares you well for it :) GREAT TEACHER, highly recomended!

7 2-4 page essays, 2 in class essays. very good teacher. makes sure you know how to structure your paper. doesn't want her students to fail. funny too. if you dont turn in a paper you cant pass her class though. attendance is important to her. some journal entries. read kitchen confidential and did 3 essays from that book.

This class is helpfull, and when you pass her class, I'm sure you'll be able to pass Eng100 and so on.

the ppl saying that she's hard and grades hard are just saying that because they can't write & did not follow what she wanted. Her essays are not hard at all. If u follow the structure u pass. u only need to pass 5/9 essays. how easy is that. Just follow her requirnments & u should do great. I'm not good with essays, but i passed all the essays

Much hard grader? No wonder you didn't pass. She is a great professor. I wouldn't want her to change a thing. She teaches very well and makes her assignments clear and understandable. :D

Although she grades paper very hard, she shows every single mistake I have on my paper. So I know which part I need to work on more. Plus she is a very helpful teacher who willingly answer every question you may have. I cannot help laughing in her class since she is so amused and entertained. Overall, she is a GREAT PROFESSOR you should have.

My favorite teacher! She is the best english teacher at GWC. I wish she starts to teach Eng100 and Eng110

I took her class for the summer, it was very fast but she helped the students understand what they did wrong and worked with them to improve the best they could. Attendance is important, so make sure you're on time. The readings were simple and fun I recommend her if you really want quality learning, she also has great background experience.

Ms. Galassi is such a character. She is VERY talkative and has a funny sense of humor, great teacher. She is all about mla format and structure on her essays all you have to do is follow it and you will get a good grade. I would say she is not vey easy but is a wonderful teacher who really prepares you for English 100 .

I'm not really hate her but overall, she grades essay super hard. She focus most on grammar and verb tense.

I was one of those unlucky students who tested into 098,so i knew this class would be either easy or really easy. Passed all out of the 9 papers, your allowed to fail 4 of them. She is a little boring, but very clear. The difficulty of the class is measured by the students skill in English.

Cecelia is such a great professor. She truly wants you to pass but shes not going to just give it to you. Shes always willing to help! Must be in class, you can only miss 6 hours of class the whole semester but its worth it to be in class. I would take her if she taught 099.

I love Galassi, she is so clear and extremely helpful! She grades every single hwk paper with care. A few essays, but she over prepares you, so you feel confident. Must buy workbook for hwk that is super easy, but you must show up to pass. I would take her, she really prepares you for 099! She is always there when you need her, she truly cares.

Mrs.G is super nice! Attendance is mandatory but you are allowed to skip class 3 times. She's super clear and explains everything we're doing step by step. Sometimes she talks too much but its okay! As long as you do your work you'll pass. If you need a little extra help she'll stay after and help you out. Highly recommend you take her!

I had Cecelia about ten years ago. Sweet, smart, and will help you through the class. She's tough but you will look forward to the class. I kind of miss her!

I took Galassi for 098 and 099, and she is the best English teacher I have ever had. She is always willing to help you out with your papers and the workbook. You must get the workbook and do them or you won't pass. She really made me love English I almost even considered being an English major. I wish she taught English 100.

Nicest teacher ever!

She's caring,helpful, and funny! She isn't easy to pass if you don't try. But if you always come to class and follow what she tell you to do then you will be fine. There r 7 essays (can only fail 3 papers), 3 quizzes from the book (very easy), and the grammar packet is your homework that you need to turn it in on the due date.

Cecelia is a great professor who cared so much for students. Don't get me wrong, she's a tough grader just because she cares to make other students better. Totally a nice instructor and honest person who does so much as an individual .

Galassi is an amazing professor. I took her for my 98, and 99 English courses. It is not an easy PASS you really have to try if you wanna pass. If you ask for help she is willing to help you. She prepared me well for English 100 and 110. I wish she taught upper division courses at GWC !!!! I Highly Recommend anyone to take her class....

Galassi is an amazing professor. I took her for my English 99 class and I wish I could have her for every english class. Her class isn't that hard all you have to do is keep up with the work she gives you and ask for help because she loves to answer any question you have. she cared for her students and was always willing to work with you .

Dr Galassi is an amazing professor! She makes analysing stories and poems fun. I am so glad that I took her class! I definitely recommend her for anyone that struggles with reading or writing. A professor of her caliber is hard to find.

She's fantastic. Explains everything multiple times so it's clearly understood, but uses interest examples so even if you're already aware of the topic, it's still enjoyable to listen to her teach it! Dr. Galassi is down-to-earth, respectable, and very straightforward. It was always clear what was needed to be done in order to succeed.

She is nice. You will learn a lot if you listen and do what she asks. My writing skill is improved after taking her class. She is a tough grader but gives helpful feedback. Thanks to her, I am ready for E100.

I took her class two semesters ago, and I'm so glad I did! She was suuuper helpful, and clear with her instructions. Her tips and pointers have really helped me out in the long run! I haven't written a poorly graded essay since I took her class. I definitely recommend her class!

She is the best! Cecelia is nice and caring. She explained stuff many times and extend due date in order to give students more time to edit papers. She is always happy to help student with papers. A lot of readings but you will learn a lot.

I took Cecelia for E99 and E110. She is nice, always willing to help, and understand when you struggle to meet the deadlines. She is one of the nicest professors that I have met. But she is not an easy-grader, and you have to be clear and clean when you write in her class. She does not require fancy English, just simple but clear and stay on track.

Cecilia is super sweet and likes when students participate with ideas or reading out loud. We read WWZ and wrote 4 papers on it, we also watched the movie and wrote a paper on that. Her papers were a bit hard to write for me and I could never get past a 70 on them. No tests but I did find her class topics to be a bit politically biased sometimes.

Always available during office hours if I had questions. Not as fast with the grading as I would have liked, but overall, reasonable. She kept us on our toes with short time frames available to complete the work, but that might have been because it was a summer class. Turn things in on time and be nice and helpful with peer reviews.

Professor Galassi does everything in her power to make herself available and ensure your success--you just need to reciprocate as best you can. Super nice lady. I took her 8 week course, which was expectedly busy, but not unmanageable. Take her class!!!

Professor Galassi is a tough but caring instructor. She provides thorough feedback to help you improve, though her grading can be rigorous. The workload is heavy, but the class prepares you well. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for essay prep.
