Very cool guy. I took him for a spring mini, he made the class interesting 3 hrs a day 5 days a week for 3 weeks. His teaching style is great, tests not compicated but not something you may blow off. One of the best instructors at san jac.

Very easygoing and nice. Gives study guides for the test that are basically EXACTLY like the test. Just fill them out and study and you'll get a good grade. Grades the paper easily; I know my paper sucked and I got a 100.

Amazing guy, does his best to be bipartisan but he is clearly conservative. Grades his papers genorously.

Study guide is not all on the test but this class is easy. You are going to have to study.

he's a fun teacher. tests are based from book. don't have to come to class b/c lectures don't help. if you do come to class, he'll probably like you better. for a paper, he has you write a 3 page paper of a summary and opinion of an article. grades the paper easy.

Dorsey is alright, but only take him if u register too late to get into Dr. Bolen's class. His tests are from the book. His lectures are enjoyable, but usually just rants and tangents and do not apply to his tests for the most part. He is somewhat anal about the format of the class paper.

dorsey is an easy teach you get an A if you read the book because barely anything comes from his lectures. he does have a conservative view in things so if that bothers you you shouldnt take him but he is an easy teacher

This instructor wants you to take away an interest in government rather than memorize facts. As a result I did well and remember more from his class than my other government class in which I was sweating blood to memorize dates. His lectures are fun and interesting.

Really funny guy, but lectures have to do with nothing basically. Do study guides and read the book. Easy A.

Mr. Dorsey is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. Not hard at all, tests are pretty mild, and he's HILARIOUS if you have a good sense of humor! You gotta work a little & read the chapters, but no class work, and no real homework besides Final

follow instructions and you will pass with at least a B. Follow all instrutions even the if I was you instructions and you will make a B+. Follow all instuctions like when I was your age instructions and make an A.

Dr. Dorsey, is a GREAT professor!He makes the class SO interesting and fun. His tests and papers arent THAT hard. You do need to go to class,take notes and study. Put effort into this class and youll get an A/B! I wish I would have taken him for both Govt's.

I took the summer course. 3 tests, 3 chapters to read for each, and an opinion paper. Do the review sheet, most questions are off of that. Try hard on the extra credit. It helps tremendously. He tells lots of stories, but they keep class interesting.

Prof Dorsey is a sweet old man that likes to ramble on about nonsense and family life but his class was super easy and he made it somewhat enjoyable. Always lets you out early. 3 tests only, no final, an opinion paper. Just read the chapters and you'll get an easy A. i highly recommend!

Dorsey is an awesome teacher and is willing to help you if you talk to him. He is hilarious and he even gives you a review for each tests so it makes the tests easier. It can be boring at times but he'll try and lighten up the class by talking about his personal life. Take Dorsey if you can!

Mr Dorsey rocks! His lectures were interesting and short, and always information you directly needed for the exams. Opinion paper + extra credit paper. Also provided extra textbooks for those that requested them...then referenced the textbook every night. Wish I had taken him for 2301!

He doesn't really teach much, mainly talks about his life, but he is still easy. He gives you a review before every test. I suggest you do it and he gives you an easy paper to write on. I totally BSed it and got a high A. I didn't really read the book just used the review.

Prof. Dorsey is a great professor! He is very informative. This won't be a walk in the park; however, if you apply yourself and follow the simple instructions, you'll do fine.

Prof. Dorsey is hilarious! Great professor, I highly recommend taking him. You have to write a paper in his class, but it's very easy. Make sure to follow directions completely and you'll get an A. I had him at 8:30 in the morning and he was able to keep my attention.

I got through summer 1 without buying the textbook.. still got an A in the class. Tests are pretty easy since he includes extra credit. The opinion essay is easy too. He lets you out early too! Grades easy.. I got an A without trying too hard.

He was interesting and nice. He class was pretty easy, but he doesn't just give you the grade, you still need to study. The opinoin paper was easy if you do it. He was entertaining to me, and i don't like government and history, but he was good.

I took Mr.Dorsey for both Government classes, and he is a very nice professor, He knows a lot, and as long as you go to class, print the notes from blackboard, answer the review, you'll be fine. There is an essay but if you follow all his suggestions, is a piece of cake. Take him he is amazing, very helpful and a brilliant man, book not required.

I took Mr. Dorsey for Govt. 2301 and 2302. He is the best! We always get out early, and his tests are straight from the review. Your paper is opinion based. He talks alot about whatever he wants, personal stories and such, but I was never bored. He loves students who have opinions. I recomend him to anyone!

he's an old tired man. but his tests are easy if u do the review, the answers are on the ppt presentations on blackboard. and the paper is graded on following instructions, not on what u write. but he's retiring... so oh well, he's easy though.

Professor Dorsey is an interesting govt. teacher. He likes opinions, he is conservative, and only once did he not let class out early. He wants everyone to do well, and will include bonus on tests. He is opinionated and sassy. I really enjoyed taking him and would recommend him. You do study but he even gave us guides. He got me interested in govt.

Dorsey's GOVT 2302 class was an easy A during the summer session. However, he made a goodly amount of disrespectful comments towards homosexuals, minorities, agnostics, atheists, and liberals during class. It was uncomfortable to listen to and completely inappropriate. Easy A, but I didn't recommend him to my friends.

I love this professor he has a very cool personality, he is very clear and honest he will make u understand government in a funny way! He is very helpful and the class could be hard but he makes it very easy! It's a shame he doesn't teach Gov 1!!

He's hilarious and makes comments, but I don't care. I care bout the material, and his tests r meant to be a joke, so you over study and he asks dumb questions. I was sweatin b/c you just don't know what he's gonna ask. If ur a jellyfish u might do fine, if u study and read, it will kill u to see those grades. Gives a review, but it's laughable.

omg! He's sooo funny! You spend half of the class laughing at his jokes. Often get out early. Tests are mult. choice and follow the review. You have a super easy opinion paper that if u do it, you should pass. I never took notes and I did really well. Be consious in the class, and you're good!

Very fun teacher. Kept things interesting. For a 3 week mini class, I must say that I learned more during this mini course than the full 2301 course. I would reccommend Mr. Dorsey to anyone who needs to take this class.

Oh, Mr.Dorsey is a good man. He's a bit old now, and with that comes old-fashioness! Hes very funny and helps out a lot but he thinks in old ways. He will pick on you just for fun but its not that big of a deal. Plus he mostly hates idiots in Washington. DEM and REP Just study reviews. Made A on 3-week mini. 99 on opinion paper he doesn't read.

Dorsey is a sweet old man, with some very bias humor. If you are offended easily, this is NOT the class for you. He's very nice, and always gets off-subject but eventually finds his way back. Always lets out early too! Easy class, easy tests. Pay attention to powerpoint discussion in class and read chapters and you'll make an A.

Professor Dorsey is the BEST govt teacher! He keeps the subject very interesting. No busy works. He gives you a review before the tests, if you do them, you will passed. Great professor! I didn't want to take Govt, but I have to because of my degree plan. He made the subject really interesting, and it was really easy to get through. He gave us exam reviews, and as long as you do them you will do well on exams.

This is one of the best government professors I have ever taken. His lectures are interesting and cracks lots of jokes on people. His tests are not hard, all you do is skim the book and look over the power points. I enjoyed coming to class every other day. It was the highlight of my day.

He's a very sweet old man & loves what he's teaching.He picks on you in a friendly way, just to give examples for the lecture. 1 opinion paper graded based on the guideline provided & 3 tests with reviews for all of them. Just study the reviews & you will be fine. Studying the powerpoint won't help at all. I made an A+ by ONLY studying the reviews.

FUN CLASS.... he picks on people in a funny way; he picked on me because I'm always one or two minutes late and I'm lebanese haha; he's an awesome teacher and gives 10 points extra credit and sometimes 5 point bonus.

loved this teacher!!For the spring mini semester he would only keep us for half of the time or less. However you do need to read the chapters or, skim thru them.The review was some help not much we had one test, the final and a paper due. I recommend him for a mini if you dont want to stress and enjoy your weeks off and if your not good in Gov.

EXTREMELY EASY. Dont even have to show up for class often (he rarely takes attendance)and can make an easy A on the tests. If you just do the review you are set. All of his reviews are spitting images as his tests. He is funny and sometimes makes innapropriate jokes to keep us interested. I would recommend him.

I just took this class and got an A. The teacher knows the material and he is quick to try and get the class involved in discussion. He doesn't make you stay in class very long the vast majority of the time, which gives you time to read the chapters. I doesn't give reviews, except the final, but his power points and the book work. Paper was easy.

gave us powerpoints, sometimes reviews, he is super easy, gives an essay assignment that is graded on formatting, basically everyone makes a 100 on this essay unless you are really dumb, I seriously missed like 6 days of class and I passed with a B+ he is super funny and the true definition of a southern gentleman

Easy class. I do feel like the amount of work she gave was a bit excessive for an intro class. Shes really nice and is interesting. She made us a test review after we asked her for one. Tests and bb quizzes are a bit specific but if you do all the readings, youll be fine. Revel quizzes are easy as well. Lots of extra credit. 2 exams.
