Everyone who rated this teacher poorly must be lazy. It's a difficult class and you have to do a lot of writing, but Dr. Kandle is a very good and fair teacher. If you do your work and put forth a decent amount of effort, you will do well. She is very concerned with her students and their grades. She's a great lady.

SHE CRITIZES YOUR PAPERS A LOT BUT IT HELPS YOU OUT FOR THE NEXT PAPER AND SHE ENCOURAGES YOU TO COME SEE HER FOR HELP AND TO GO TO THE TUTORING CENTER. THE READINGS ARE A LITTLE BORING BUT AS YOU GET THROUGH THE CLASS THEY GET BETTER.

All around best teacher that I ever had. Very involved in the class, works with the students and interacts on many levels. Missed more than the allowed 6 and still got a B+, very reasonable.

She is a very good teacher. She makes you do a required ten page research paper but starts it with you the first week of class and it isnt due until the last week of the semester. Very helpful and willing to meet in her office for extra help. Allowed to miss 6 classes and still pass. Very nice teacher

Took last semester. Not all but most readings were OK. There are three short papers and the research paper. But it's spelled out for you and she's there to help if you need it. I didn't go until the end and I wish I had. She was only out twice all semester-- don't get the seven-times out comment. Take if you want to pass.

Mrs. Kandl is a nice teacher but a wierd person. She needs to keep her strange life to herself. She thinks shes funny but she not...she trys to act fake and young but shes not. But the works not too bad...be prepare to read and quiz...shes loves to quiz. Papers are ok. Pretty fair grader. Ohh and hope you can read CHICKEN SCRATCH and DECODE PAPERS!

Dr. Kandl's class was incredibly fun and interactive. Papers are based on a choice of 3 or 4 articles from the textbook and there's lot of interactive class discussion about EVERYTHING. Great instructor, fun and insprirational woman who loves to teach and get your mind turning.

i was scared going into comp 111 because i had no idea how i was going to pass the research paper but she was very helpful and made it clear how she wanted it to be written. she had funny sense of humor and she kept her class interesting. i took her for comp 110 too and did good in both classes. great comp teacher!

This woman can teach. She constantly makes you think and she is just fun to watch. You have to do the papers--three short and one research paper but she helps you every step of the way. Take her if you can.

I took Dr. Kandl for Comp 110 last semester and am going to try to take her comp 111 class. This is one teacher who really cares about the students and tries to help them whenever she can. She makes you think about things you never thought about before. Really excellent teacher.

Great teacher for comp 110. Took her online and never had a teacher who gave the class so much freedom. Excellent teacher! She was very helpful in the class and made things so much easier (especially the required 10 pg research paper). However, she tended to be a little scatterbrained at times. If you are fine with an easygoing teacher though, she is the teacher for you.

I took Dr. Kandl's online class and I loved it. Although there were some issues with canvas in the first couple of days she fixed it. Very fair gradings and the readings were not too bad.

Dr. Kandl's class is easy and she's a generous grader, but its a "learn it yourself" kind of class. She will not give you a email or a heads up when she'll not be there and she drops the f-bomb a lot thinking its cool but its annoying. But she's understanding with her students. If you want an easy A, then take her class.

This teacher could not have been more helpful. She gave us her personal cell number to contact her if something was really urgent and I did and she got right back. She also made the annoying research paper a breeze . A very straight up chill professor who really understands the students.

This professor is really nice, personable, and witty. We had fun discussions in class and it felt more like a sociology class almost. I screwed around a lot and handed stuff in late and I still got a B, anyone that actually tried to do well I'm sure can an A+ without breaking a sweat.

I had her for comp 110 and took her again for comp 111. She's so cool and easy going. She's fairly young and is just easy to talk to. She definitely keeps you on your toes you never know what she is going to say or do. Overall she's an easy grader and will help you out if you need it but you probably won't in this class. I highly recommend her!

Professor Kandl expects you to read before each assignment. Her feedback's after each essay or assignment are really helpful, she tells what to work on for your next homework. If you want to get a good grade expect to read a lot, critical reading and deep thinking are also a plus. I would recommend Prof. Kandl.

Professor Kandl was great! I took her Comp 111 class online this past fall semester. It was my first online class and I have to say, I am so glad that I found a professor like her. Prof Kandl was one of the best online teachers that I have ever had. English and writing papers have never been something I was good at but she is open for new ideas and she helps where you need it. A 400 pt paper at the end scared me but she prepared us for it from day one to help us succeed. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

I took this class online and it was fine. There are a lot of group discussions that you must participate in. You will need the textbook. The professor is willing to help you out if you message her, but as with many online classes, you must take initiative to get a good grade.

I have Professor Kandl at the moment and everything is online because if COVID. She has made life SO much more easier because she is so understanding and loving. I loved taking this course. It was fairly easy. Read the assignments and write an analysis. I turned in a couple of my assignments a few minutes late and she did not deduct any points. Overall, I would take her class again. She gave me some really good tips on writing.

Professor was genuinely nice and helpful. The papers used the same format, so it was not that difficult to write. She does discuss about the readings to make sure we understand them, and always relates it to the real world. Attendance and participation are important to make sure we understand the readings and discussions.

I took this class as a 6-week summer course. It was all online and I was expecting to be overwhelmed with work. This class was at a nice pace and was not overwhelming at all. Dr. Kandl was super considerate and gave great feedback. Would recommend!!

I just took this professor summer session 2021 and she was very nice and easy to reach. Quick responder. The usual workload but very doable. I would recommend it for comp 2 professor!

The teacher seams like a nice person but is a very rough grader. She will very broadly tell you what you need to work on, on the papers. When you ask for help chances are you won't get any. There is a discussion post every week and 7 papers throughout the entire course. It is not very hard to do.

I had Dr. Kandl for an online accelerated comp111 class. There are 3 papers in total you have to write and one final research paper. She offers great feedback and answers all of your questions. I had this Professor for a summer intensive class. I am a guest student so I only needed a c to transfer but I ended up getting an a because why not. She responded to emails quickly and gave good feedback that really helped. The class was fast-paced but all you have to do is stay on top of it and you will be fine.

This was an accelerated course. Weekly discussions were easy they just required a good amount of reading. If you follow the very clear and to the point instructions that she gives for the paper assignments, you will be fine! She's also very easy to reach out to.

As long as you do the work and participate you'll be good and she'll love you.

Dr Kandl was a great Professor for my first semester. It's not that the class was a joke — but she made it super doable. My grades got better . It's standard 6 short essays and weekly discussions. She opens the assignments if you have an issue and grades generously.

Took comp110 online and I have to say that this was by far the best online class I have taken at this school. I am not generally an online person but had to take one because of my schedule. Dr Kandl graded fairly and left detailed comments on how to improve. She also took 2 of my papers late. Very doable class . Take.

Excellent professor. Very flexible with me and helped me out so much with numerous issues. The research paper is already half written because she asks you to just add on to a paper you've already tuned in.

I just finished an intensive summer classes — 6 weeks— and she was one of the most helpful professors I have ever had. She let me redo a paper that I completely got wrong and I still got an a on it. She gives placeholder 0's while you are revising a work but that is never your actual grade. I'm transferring next semester or I take her again.

This teacher did what no other teacher has done for me and that is care about me personally . My family had a lot of issues this semester and she worked out a plan to turn in my work late without any points being taken off. She also helped me grow aw a writer. 10/10
