Great professor and is real

Best Teacher. Very Fun and enjoyable class.

She was a really amazing teacher. She is very relate able and understanding. She taught to where it apply's to current day. She had people come in and teach us about different crimes. I would really recommend her for criminology.

She's funny! Shes Sweet and very nice. classes are never boring. She brings in Guest speakers who are in the criminal justice field. She takes you on field trips to the Jails .

She is one of the best teachers that I've had in this college. Her personal stories cannot be forgotten she was one crazy teenager. She is very sweet and nice. However the class itself was challenging but to the point were everything we were doing was possible and easy to understand and comprehend. I would really recommend her.

I wish someone would've told me about prof. Quiroz instead of taking Prof. Leo. Her lectures are really interesting and learning. She is always there if you need help & feedback. Great guest speakers. Her vibe is very unique I would so take her again. I learned so much, she really prepares everyone especially those into the Criminal Justice field.

Excellent Professor. She is very understanding and also gives students the chance to learn and understand the criminal justice class very well. Assignments are clear and pretty simple if you follow her lectures. It was just a wonderful experience learning under Dr. Cecilia.

I felt that you were one of the most compassionate teachers I've had, you know that its hard to go to school and to have a life outside of that. Most teachers couldn't care less about what happens outside of class, so they just think you're making excuses when something comes up in life. Thank you for being so unerstanding.

I loved this class it was my favorite all year! I just didn't like that it was so long. Other than that she was a great professor, even when I asked the dumbest questions she was always there with a smile to help. She definitely made me a smarter person.

I had already taken a class with her before and decided to take this class because i really enjoy her character and teaching style. Hopefully i can take one more class with her as my professor before i move on to university. Ms. Quiroz is as real as they come. She can be a very caring person, and has very interesting stories. She was always there for me when i was having troubles in class or in the lectures. If i didn't understand, she would always take time out of her days to help us. She spoke to us on a level that we all understood.

The professor was very knowledgable and made it really easy to understand the material by relating it to real world examples. She is very understanding of "life happening" scenarios. You do have to study for the tests because there is material from the book on them. Overall a great teacher,I also liked the music she would play before starting class

This is great class that gives an overview of all the parts of the Criminal Justice System. I took the compressed 8 week course, it would have been easier to handle the reading in 16wks. But Prof. Quiroz made the discussions engaging for the whole class and we had guest speakers that actually work in the field. I highly recommend Prof. Quiroz!

I really liked this class because it is material straight from the book. Also it was interesting to know the different stories and examples of crime. I would take your course again. It was very interesting.

She is willing to work with you. She is also very understanding and cares about her students. One of the best instructors at South Mountain Community college. I highly recommend taking her class. She not only lectures about the book but also mentions reality situations that happen. Literally all our work assignments and test come from the book.

Summer school class was an easy A, definitely recommend for Statistics but make sure you go to class as she goes over homework in class to allow for better understanding.

Prof Cecilia is awesome. She gives great lectures and works hard to get special people to come speak with us about what they've been through in their field. Not only that she works to get us on tours and ride a longs. I really appreciate Cecilia Quiroz and hope to have her class again.

Great teacher for American Justice System course classes. She has so many experiences to share and so many contacts within the field. We had presentations from a probation officer and the Tempe Police Chief, we also did a tour of the county jail. These experiences were amazing.

Professor Quiroz was a great professor. She gave great feedback on any thing that was turned in and answered any and all questions that I had. She also allowed us to make up certain assignments which was extremely helpful. Overall this was a great class!

One of the best college profs I've ever had!!! I hope I can take one of her classes again soon.

Awesome professor! Intense reading material, however, it allows to open up interesting discussions with the entire class. Also who is able to bring people from the law enforcement field to talk to the class. Group projects were fun.

Professor Cecilia was an amazing instructor! She is very patient with her students. Her bringing in guest speakers and allowing us to tour the 4th Ave jail made the class more unique. I would definitely recommend taking her.

Great instructor! Class is super easy! All you have to do is complete assignments, show up, and participate. If you want to get the best out of the class when reading book material you can give personal experiences and opinions, also all assignments require that as well. Easy A!!

Professor Quiroz Has an unique was of communicating the reality of society psychology into the real lives of her students. She explains things in such away, that an individual is left to have a change of mind for the better party.

This class is very fun , the papers and topics are interesting and easy to write about. You do have to show up to class because she dose review chapters and be prepared to read. Overall she's a great professor and I would recommend taking her!

Professor Quiroz is such an awesome teacher. She really makes you feel comfortable in her classes and is not afraid to talk about sensitive topics. If you do you work and participate in class you will be satisfied with your grade. She is always willing to help her students!

She is kind and makes class interesting. She shows videos, gives personal experiences, and asks questions that make you realize things about society and yourself. Her stories are so funny and her videos are actually interesting. There was a good amount of extra credit opportunities. I'd definitely take one of her classes again.

Professor Quiroz teaches an excellent course. She makes the class environment very comfortable for students to discuss sensitive topics which made participation much easier.

prof Cecilia is down to earth and easy to talk to, there is a lot of difficult topics in this course (PSY 132) but her inviting attitude and respectfulness makes things much easier to talk about.

She's really passionate about teaching, she made lectures very specific and fun she know's exactly what she's teaching.

We had a lot of writings assignments but Professor Quiroz worked with us. She certainly was accessible outside of class. Lots of Extra credit if you fall into trouble. She is always willing to lend a hand to help you understand the subject matter. GREAT Instructor. Never a boring class session!

I had the opportunity to take a psychology course this semester and honestly could not have picked a better person for this subject. this class is an easy A, but if you don't motivate yourself and do the work then thats how to fall behind.

My child had a major heart surgery, and she gave me the opportunity to do my work and turn it in. Her communication is great and she'll let you know when she will be late. My group and I needed help with our presentation, but she gave us an opportunity to show up and show out. She is real and knows how to relate to the youth and each individual.

Professor Quiroz gave great lectures and is definitely knowledgeable. She has tons of first hand accounts/experiences that relate to the topic at hand. Shes also very understanding and will work with you if any problems occur.

Professor Quiroz was absolutely amazing and you can tell she loves what she teaches. She applies many personal life experiences to what she teaches. She passionate about her profession and I can't wait to take another one of her classes.

Overall- Great professor, really cares about her students. Love the group discussions! As long as you participate and do the work it's an easy class.

She was very hands on. Kept me entertained and it was easy for me to understand what she was teaching me. It made sense to me as to what I was learning.

Good professor. She's funny, and tells great stories lol. but I wish there was more participation activities, the class was mostly power point lectures so it gets pretty boring. A lot of reading. A LOT OF ESSAYS! hated that.

Amazing professor, uses great examples to make the lesson make more sense and understanding. Also accepts all questions at all time which really helps the student keep an idea on the lesson also helps remember.

I Enjoyed PSY 101 ! Honestly one of best Professor in campus very understanding.

She gives us an index card everyday to summarize her class, ask questions, give a comment/personal story. I personally liked that type of interaction. Shes caring and everyone in the class respects her. She would tell us stories and they would always stick to me and make the lectures easier to remember/understand.

Professor Quiroz was a great teacher! I loved her lectures , they were long but it was interesting what she was talking about. Loves to talk about her life and fun stories to yanno keep us awake lol. Very caring and easy going, this class is easy if you show up and do the work. The papers she had were a bit heavy but expected and not too bad.

I love prof Quiroz. I have taken her PSY101 class and loved it just as much. I love talking to her, such a good person. She is very understanding. She does have some heavy papers but is NOT a heavy grader, honestly if you meet the page criteria she will give you 100. Other assignments are very easy. Responds quickly. Super easy class.

I took two classes with professor Quiroz and both were great. She is very clear about what she needs from you as a student, very supportive and her teaching style is a mix of current events and personal experience which makes the material easy to grasp.
