She is an amazing teacher! She has a bit of an accent, but it doesnt really get in the way. She gives out reviews that mirror the tests, she drops lowest test grade, gives extra credit, reflexable office hours, and she is super nice. She actually cares that the students are learning.

i took her class last summer in 6 week and it was super easy maybe cuz is summer and we have least time to learn.SHE give us extra credit 4 test and 1 take home plus the homework tat is not hard and is 20 % of ur grade

the people that say that she is hard is because they never h study before in their life.But is you are smart and do al the homowork you will get an A.Also remember that to take Stat you only need math1033 which is not college level.that is why some people say that she is hard because they dont know math basics. take her belive me.

When the class started, I thought that it was gonna be a long semester and it was. But all in all she teaches the material very well. And a very nice lady too. Just make sure you do the homework, bc it will help boost your final grade.

Definitely one of the best teachers I have taken. Goes over the material really well. Her class is a guaranteed A if you just show up to class, take notes, and really pay attention to her examples. This a difficult course but students who fail are lazy. She offers PTLT, tutoring, classroom time and the online content is great. Stats are hard but assistance is available.

Dr. Diaz is wonderful -- available for office hours, crystal clear explanations, and infinite patience for her students. She works hard to get exams back to students in a timely manner, and her passion and experience for the subject matter is obvious. If you're willing to do the work, she is extremely fair, & you will do well.

She's a great Professor. Don't listen to the comments saying that she is horrible because that is NOT true. She's funny, well organized and makes the class fun. If you expect to do good you must study and take advantage of all of the resources available which led me to getting an 'A'. I'd take her again in a heartbeat. She's a great person.

People are saying she's super easy as if this is a easy A elective class, thats definitely not the case. This is one of those classes where you can be completely lost in class but doing the homework and looking at youtube videos would help you. Shes not terrible but this is no easy A.

Not an easy class by any means. Have to be focused and unintimidated by formulas. She does not want you to fail so she is clear and has very open office hours. All the material is basically handed to you on a silver platter. With her worksheets and statlab should be fine. She lets you use formulas for tests. Know your way around a calculator for A+

She is an amazing teacher. She definitely knows what she is talking about. She also does show the passion she has for stats. She gets each lesson across and gives multiple examples of how it can be used in everyday life. She is very lighthearted and humorous which made the hours go by a lot easier. (Summer A hours) I would recommend her.

Amazing professor. Although she has a slight accent, her lectures are very clear and extremely detailed. She goes step by step with many problems--similar to test questions and gives handouts. Of course, do not expect this to be an easy class and pass without studying. If you take your time reading the textbook and doing problems you will get an A.

I found the class to be very easy, however I did notice a lot of the students were having a difficult time keeping up, so it really depends on your capability and willingness. She is a wonderful teacher and is there for you, as she will state throughout the semester. I really recommend actually going to class or else you'll fall behind.

Everyone told me it was going to be difficult. I got an A, BUT I worked hard for it! The professor is great, very clear and she knows her stuff! Studying and understanding the material is up to you! I took this class in 6 weeks. She is very clear and my favorite teacher so far. A lot of online homework that you have to complete during the semester. She gives good feedback. A lot of quizzes and extra credit. THE SECRET? Do your homework, solve the problems she gives, and PAY ATTENTION. That will make you pass the quizzes. Do not skip class!

This was very difficult and required a couple of all nighters practicing formulas but she really prepared me for the stats 2 I'm taking now at FIU.

The homework isn't a long format. Read your book and do your homework, get familiar with your material and the formulas, try to understand why people use those formulas and theories for, then you will do very well and also the subject helps you to know life better. Very helpful professor, she will be there to help you during her office hours

People rating this womans teaching are LAZY/text all through class and do not take notes. Her lectures are crystal clear and goes over things until people get it. Her exams are even more clear, just do the homework for practice. All exam questions are almost identical to her examples in class. Wish I can take her to FIU with me when I transfer!!!

Anyone who tries can certainly pass her class! She's very clear and fair - gives lots of examples for practice in class. Test questions are on the easier end of what you learn in class. If you aren't getting it, you should go to office hours and ask for extra help as she repeatedly offers! It's not hard to stay on top of this class (or get an A!)

The subject it's self is hard , but she cares ALOT if people understand. She reminds people she has office hours if they are still having a difficult time with the chapter. You HAVE to pay attention to class and do the homework to pass.

Some of her Extra Credit goes by participation even thot, she only grades tests and the final, oh and the Homework which is online. No midterm. Very important: know your way around the calculator. She actually gives two options to solving problems, calculator or by hand. Print out the Tables

Amazing Stats professor. Very passionate about what she does and how we apply it to real life scenarios. Took her STA2023 class in summer term A in 6 weeks, and won't lie it was very time consuming. Skip? Won't pass. Try and wing a test without studying? WON'T PASS. The subject is not entirely difficult but not on the easy spectrum. Would recommend

I took Statistics online with this professor and she was the best. She does everything possible to make herself available to her students and is SUPER helpful. The course is really not that hard especially if you are comfortable w/ math. Hardest part was teaching yourself since class was online but again teacher was awesome. Would take her again!

Her class lectures are very organized. She knows the subject very well. She explains everything in steps and writes notes on the board that you need to copy. She explains how Statistics pertains to the real world. It might seem easy in the first few chapters, but trust me it gets more complicated. You will need to study a lot at home to pass.

I was very scared at the beginning of the course because of the bad comments I read here and because I'm not good with numbers, but I'm finishing the class with an A. The material is hard, but if you don't skip class, do the homework and pay attention you will pass. She is a good professor, she cares about the students and she does her best.

She doesn't give reviews for midterm/finals. If you have her for a full term there will be a project!! That project was kinda hard. If you talk to her about project during office hours you'll think youre doing good but once you present it she will ask hard questions & make you rethink your grade in class. Other than that her lectures are very clear

She is great, I understood all of the topics and knew I could get extra help when I needed it. The homework is done online with Pearson and if you haven't used that before you'll see it is super helpful. Quizzes and tests are short and straightforward too. And if you take the 6 week course she gives breaks during lecture bc class is over 3 hours.

I took this professor during the pandemic It was a mini semester. This professor is super understanding and is clear with her lectures. She is a little big on Participation, she wants her students to be involved. She knows the subject very well. Im honestly not that good in Math but I took her and passed, she is super awesome. Take her.

When I took this class after two weeks the pandemic COVID-19 started, and she conducted the rest of semester online. She did a great job always answering the questions very quickly. It is true, you need to do a lot of homework, but if you do it since the beginning you'll finish on time. Also, she explains everything in detail.

A really kind professor. Every class she lectures and she answers our questions. There are only two tests: the midterm and final. HW is online. Multiple Extra Credit Opportunities. Group project at the end of the semester which is fairly easy. Overall an awesome class.

This was an online class. You must be motivated and a good-self starter. The professor answered all my emails in a timely manner. I had trouble with the proctoring platform for testing and she assisted me in order to facilitate taking the exam. She helped me every time I needed her help. She was an amazing teacher, if you pay attention. What she teaches you is what is on the test. If you don't understand the lesson, she is more than willing to help you after class in her office. She didn't give much homework, about 2-3 assignments per chapter. I would love to take another class of hers.

I'm currently taking her class and was shocked by how unfair many reviews are. She's a great professor who really knows the subject and explains clearly. Grading is simple and transparent, exams are easy if you study, and she offers extra credit on every exam plus the chance to replace your lowest test score. Just study, and you'll be good, trust.

The people that are giving her bad reviews are just bad students lol. She is very eloquent, knows the subject thoroughly, and answers all questions. If you care about passing, she will help you pass. That being said, you really have to pay attention and study. This is not an easy A, it is a real math class with paper tests. But you will learn.
