This was Introduction for Travelers class that I found immensely helpful. Cennet gave us a large number of clear, well-organized handout with many useful phrases. We also learned and practiced pronounciation, basic grammar, useful vocabulary. I found her very engaging and motivational teacher.

Instructor was always prepared for each class. Handouts were useful. My questions were answered in class. She mentioned stimulating out of class opportunities. I was able to apply what I learned in my trip to Turkey.

In a small class, there is lots of individual speaking practice. She is gentle with corrections, and careful to not let students feel intimidated.

Professor Cennet is an excellent teacher of a language that is very different than English. I've learned so much from her! The book she uses is more akin to a pseudo-immersion course because it will introduce words and then define them 2 chapters later. This makes the course difficult but encourages learning.

I tried using apps and other ways of independent learning but I never made progress until this class. I plan on continuing on to Turkish 102.

My class was online, and it was not very hard, but it is important that you can work independently and organize your time. She offers time to meet for help sessions if you need it. She is very nice with grading. Work is pretty light, gets a little more near finals, but it is definitely manageable. I recommend!

I loved it because was online access, Instructor was well organized, clear to the points, homeworks, exercises & tests were perfectly related, feedback and corrections was extraordinary effort & amazingly motivated, communication was great specially the student hrs really useful & timely response to all related questions and doubts was fascinating.

Cennet was very accommodating this semester given a lot of personal travel which required me to accelerate some work. She tried hard to ensure that I received timely feedback and learned the material despite my absence for several student hours. She also did her best during the online student hours to speak to me in Turkish and encourage dialogue.

I had this professor as a online teacher, and once every week you would do a 1 on 1 with the teacher through a zoom call. She is very nice and respectful. If you forget to turn in an assignment she gives you extra time without taking off any points. She doesn't assign many assignments either: its a chill class.
