He a very good professor! he helps student when they do okay on a test by offering extra credit questions during lessons.

This professor is very kind and caring. Really taking the time to make sure that you understand the concepts. He will go at any pace that you need in order to work with you. He doesn't mind staying after class to explain in more detail or work on practice problems with you and he is very good at explaining concepts. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Leal was my teacher for developmental math and now for intermediate algebra. He is the BEST math teacher. I used to fail math terribly, but this is the best I have ever done in math. I am actually understanding math for the first time in my life because Dr Leal explains the math very very well. He is kind, funny and very helpful.

This is for the MAT 0028C. The professor offers extra credit, and offers homework submission past the due date. The professor is an approachable guy. Even though the course went a little fast paced for me since it was a mini semester course, I was still able to catch up with enough effort to putting study in. Overall a decent professor.

Just a heads up, he does have a pretty heavy accent so if you struggle with accents it might be a bit challenging. However, he provides a lot of extra resources like videos and other materials in his online modules. I probably wouldn't take the class again since I'm not a fan of math, but I do think this professor and class are well-rounded.

Professor Leal makes it almost impossible to not pass this course by setting his students up for success and giving endless resources to better understand material. He is also very thorough and takes his time explaining the materials and as to "why" things are the way they are. He is very patient!

He goes through even the most basic concepts if you ask and is very patient if you don't understand something. He WILL learn your name and WILL ask you to participate, there's nowhere to hide in his class, but even if you have no idea what you're doing he never gets frustrated, even if you say 1 + 1 = 3. He was great.

Great professor. Explains math in a clear and caring manner. He never wants to see students fail, so he teaches fairly by asking the class what questions work best for everyone's final exam. Homework and mastery tests can be difficult at times, but he never fails to ask questions and allows students to ask him how to solve math problems in detail.

Dr. Leal was outstanding. This was my second time taking 1033C as I didn't pass the first time. He was so attentive and always answered every question we had. You won't regret adding him to your schedule for next semester.

If you like a teacher that teaches by showing a PowerPoint with examples while you take notes then he's perfect. His learning style is not for everyone. Lots of homework but not bad. 5 major test. He's very lenient and will work with you if you need help. Remember to do ALL labs and ALL homework or you will fail.

I thought I would fail this class, but this teacher is great. He makes sure you get the material before moving on to the next topic. He also accepts feedback on each topic to construct the tests. He also reviews the homework with the class if anyone has any questions. he offers extra credit!! Great teacher, overall very sweet.

I took 0022 and 1033 with Dr. Leal, and thanks to him, I was able to re-understand math. He gives a lot of homework, and your grade depends more on the Mastery Tests than anything else. He's a very good teacher and will always help you with whatever you need. In addition to extra credits at the end of the semester, if you can take classes with him.

Although the professor was a good professor he have a strong accent which sometimes you could hardly understand but if that for you I highly recommend him .

Every week the material is the same so it gives you some routine. Video lectures, with the corresponding assignments. All assignments get multiple attempts on to get the right answer before submission, good for practice. Test every other week. Practice with Khan Academy. Overall easy class if you participate and utilize the resources provided.

Great class, just super work heavy. If you struggle balancing other courses, I suggest devoting all your time to this course alone. I had a rough semester and so unfortunately I missed a few assignments but the professor does give you a chance to earn credit back. Tests are timed and the timer was a big stressor on me, affected my grade.

Great professor! Just do your homework, attend class and you'll pass easily. He also gives extra credit at the end of the semester. If you ever have questions about why you lost points on a test and you believe you deserved more, you can talk to him and he'll re-evaluate it and possibly give you an extra half point. I would take his class again.

This class is very easy and showing up is waht really helps you.

This professor was extremely nice about everything, he is very chill and cares about his students. Classes are pretty easy as long as you're paying attention. Each class you work on some problems, he checks each students work, which is very helpful. There are 5 tests and then the final exam. The hardest part of this class would just be the lab time

Amazing, would take again. The notes are simple, but there is a lot of homework, and the tests don't align with the notes and homework.

Overall, an amazing professor. Doesn't overwhelm students with work and teaches well. You just have to put the effort in.

This professor is very nice; he is very considerate when it comes to homework assignments, and the weekly labs are helpful.

The course itself is not extrodanarily difficult. I felt that the professor could have elaborated more on certain topics. Also should have dug deeper into a few topics where it was clear that alot of students were struggling or the session was historically difficult. Overall decent professor, liberal grading and gives extra credit opportunities.

Professor Ferreira is an incredible lecturer, he constantly made sure that everyone understood each subject before proceeding, providing clear explanations of ideas and encouraging questions without hesitation.He also demonstrated their emphasis on genuine comprehension rather than memorizing by allowing us use our notes on tests and quizzes.

Overall, this was a very good course, and I enjoyed having Dr. Cesar as my professor. The lectures were clear and provided good information needed to pass the course. I had some struggles due to personal reasons which is why I received a lower grade, but normally I'd say this is a good course to take with Dr. Cesar.

This is my second time taking professor leal and he has really helped me understand math (I've been terrible at math my whole life). He explains things over and over until you get it, he walks around and helps students in need, if the majority of the class do not understand a question he would make it simpler. good professor if you pay attention very good at helping and is always there if you need to ask any questions. homework can get a little out of hand sometimes seeing as on the surface its not too bad like 3 20 ish question assignments every week but then each question will have 3 separate questions in each one almost tripling the homework
