Worst experience. Coming from a student who has straight A's there was no hope for this class. I read the book and watched all his lectures yet had no way of succeeding due to minor mistakes when grading specifically foolish discussion board standards. When emailed gives little to no response and is not open to any sort of support.

Prof. Bogosian cares about teaching well. He's clear and easy to follow. He cares about his students and relates philosophy well to every day life. Critical Thinking classes at CCC require a lot of writing, but Dr. Bogosian streamlines writing to the writings and lectures which helps students understand material. He teaches in a neutral way on controversial topics, which is refreshing and different from other teachers I've had. Bogosian wants you to think for yourself. I'd take him again.

"C's get degrees". That's me. But multiple comments below are inaccurate. First, if you meet the 3-day/3post minimum carefully following directions, you'll get a high C on discussion boards NOT a 60. Second, he's clear the goal is engagement with the class not just posting "good job". Finally, he gives feedback to help you improve. Just ask!

I try not to be mean, but Chad Bogosian was the most difficult professor I've ever worked with. He didn't show up to office hours, refused to respond to emails, and was completely uncaring towards us. He would go on rants that didn't include test material and make tests with questions he didn't go over in class. Loved the class, not the teacher.

Chad's class is structured horribly, Your entire grade is based off of 4 exams and 2 papers so you're cooked if you mess one exam up. He grades attendance like it's his life long mission, and the worst part of it all is that he doesn't post ANY of the slides or the materials used that day so good luck if you miss even one day.
