So much fun to work with!!! sexy eyes...great laugh...easy to understand, makes class fun, gives directions very clearly...assignments very aplicable...nice hands...very kissable lips!!! so sooo sweet and alot of fun!! would totally reccomend this teacher and have every intention of trying to take his other classes!
knows his stuff! very, very cute!!!!! very funny!!! Heart-throb of a professor. WAAAY better looking than Professor Jim. Seriously, the guy has eyes that could pierce a young schoolgirl's heart and- face it, any professor who can sing like that? Is awesome in my book.
He is an awesome teacher!! very clear in what he says, and course he is gorgeous!! and the voice on him.... WOW!!! he usually lets out early!! and he gives bonus. attendance is mandatory but who minds having to look at him for a whole class period?? i know i dont!
What an incredible professor! He always stimulates my interest in his class. It doesn't hurt that he has that boy next door charm. I wish he could teach me more than just theatre. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the basics of acting. He's fair and is always willing to talk to you outside of class if you have any problems.
I never had him as a teacher, but boy is he cool! Beautiful voice, beautiful person! He's a fun and interesting guy with a lot to offer those who are willing to learn. Very kind hearted!
Mr. Winters was such a great teacher. He loves what he teaches and it shows. He really got me interested in theatre and I have found myself wanting to learn more and more about it. He's relatively easy and gives bonus points just for auditioning for SLU theatre productions. Take him!!
OMG. The best teacher you can get for intro to theatre. One of my two favorite teachers on campus. He's a good person who is a great teacher and very passionate and knowledge about theatre. I recommend him to ANYONE. Take Chad Winters for as many classes as you are able to take him for in SLU's theatre department. Watch and particpate in plays too.
He's one of the best teachers on campus - loves what he teaches, clear and informative, fair, and adorable! Plus he really cares about his students.
He is a great teacher, very informative and you can tell that he loves theatre. Must attend class and you will pass with flying colors. He is very interesting and highly recommended
Overall, this is a nice class to take. The only dislikes are that his exams are not scantron, but objective in nature & you cannot use your book for the quizzes, but other than that, he is great & would recommend him to anyone.
LOVE LOVE LOVE him. Loves what he does. Has a passion for the subject. I don't personally like theater or the arts, but he made the class enjoyable. Gives notes, just copy them. Review them and pass the tests. Easy tests. Definately recommend.
I can tell he likes what he teaches, BUT sometimes it feels like he just read the text book before class and is trying to remember what he read so he can teach us the stuff. He can be unclear and a little dramatic. Also, there are tons of grammatical errors in his powerpoints and thats annoying because he is a professor.
He makes you take notes for a semester straight then you have a mid-term on all those notes. He doesnt really tell you what to study. You have to read plays on which you will be quizzed the next day. You have to attend two plays and write about them. I didnt like that the class was so boring he calls roll lectures then dimisses
Very enthusiastic in his teachings, which keeps class interesting. Very approachable and respectful. The only problem I had is that his notes very disorganized and he's not clear in what he wants. Often times students would come in with different assignments due to confusion. But if you explain that to him, he'll work with it.
He makes things fun and likes to have energy in the class. Don't talk while he is calling role...
Awesome guy! He loves acting and portrays that to his students. Just come to class and you will pass. Very nice and makes class fun. This has by far been my favorite class so far! He is a great teacher and even if you don't think theatre is for you, take him anyway!
LOVE this class! I hate the rare occasions that he cancels class. His lectures are amazing, and he made me want to either change my major or minor in theatre. I want to take this class over and over again because it's so good. You can tell he's really passionate about what he does and he's always willing to clairify anything you need help with.
I freaking love him. He will help you with anything you need. I had a death in my family, and he helped me so much. Sweetest, nicest, coolest teacher!
I love this teacher!!!! he helps you alot. The class is really interesting :)
DONT TAKE HIM! He is soo weird! And dont tlk, AT ALL! And dont even look at your phone to see what time it is, because he will take it away from you!! And if u dont dress nice he will call you poor! He almost made some girl cry! He is horrible!
Mr Winter is a good teacher. The people who give him bad reviews never go to class. He gives you his notes straightforwardly. He is nice and very helpful!
He is an awesome teacher. He knows his subject well and makes the students understand it very well. If you have to take theater class TAKE HIM. As long as you go to his class regularly, he will enjoy theater. He made me wanna change my major to theater. That person who wrote negative comment about him either doesn't know him or misunderstood him.
LOVE HIM he is very good at teaching his hardest test is the multiple choice one the short answer ones are really easy he goes over everything and if you just study you will be fine whoever says hes mean i do not know what class they took as long as you dont text or leave class early he is fine he enjoys his subject TAKE HIM!
Very, very easy! The tests come straight from the notes, he couldn't be more clear!
The class was interesting, and Mr. Chad is really nice. Some of the notes are a bit unclear. Only 3 tests, one regular exam, a midterm, and a final. The midterm and final have a lot of info! We weren't required to see any plays -- he gave bonus for them. One report was required. All in all, a good professor and a fun class. Plus, he's a cutie. :-)
This guy is pretty awesome... my only complaint is that the notes are sometimes unclear. Tests are not as hard as they seem -- 3 exams. There is one essay required, but it's not hard by any means. A lot of reading, but it's an interesting class. Winters really makes it interesting, and he shows a lot of video clips -- keeps it fun! He's adorable!
I really enjoyed his class because he is so passionate about this subject. He will give bonus for seeing plays outside of class and he tries to keep class interesting. I really liked him.
He's really really passionate about theatre! If you pay attention, take notes, study, and read; you'll make an A. But when he says read the play, its no joke!! You have to earn your A, but its easily do-able. Extra credit for going to theatrical stuff. He's worth taking. SIT IN THE FRONT!
I really liked taking him for Theater. He is very passionate about it and it makes class interesting. His quizzes for the plays come straight from spark notes so as long as you read them you'll do fine. His tests are easy but you do have to study some!! I would recommend taking him!
VERY passionate about his topic. Gets loud and excited when reciting a monologue. Teaches with power points that are directly related to the text book. The only reading you have to do is the plays he assigns.
what to say about chad winters... umm he is very passionate about what he teaches. If you are tired before class he will wake you up for he is pretty loud. I thought he was a good teacher overall and the criticism people attribute to him is that you have to read the plays but really he gets the questions off of spark notes so its pretty easy. A---
He is very sweet. Passionate about Theatre and truly wants to help his students. Always giving you opportunities for extra credit. Tests are from PowerPoint lectures and are fairly easy.
Do not take unless you are actually interested in theater. He has far more difficult tests and quizzes than necessary for a worthless required class. He also has extremely long, boring classes of note taking that are simply unbearable with a very strict attendance policy.
As everyone else has said, he is extremely passionate about theatre. I enjoyed his class so much! I only missed it once because I was sick the day of final review. As long as you pay attention and read summaries of the plays you will pass this class. TAKE HIM! You won't regret it!
He is a really great teacher. He really loves theatre which makes the class much more interesing. He's nice, easy, and pretty entertaining....I'm not really sure why he got a chili pepper though.
Mr. Chad is one of the best thea professors on campus. His lectures are entertaining, the assignments are fun and easy, and if your grade is struggling he will do all he can to help. He is super passionate about the class which makes it all the better. If you have a choice, take the class from Chad Winters!
Tip: I personally would not recommend taking intro to theater from him or any other professor... If you take intro to acting instead of into to theater its really fun and pretty easy to get an A
Mr. Winters is pretty cool. Lectures are straight forward. The class is boring but some days he keeps us interested. HIS TEST PREP IS AMAZING!! there is no way you can fail his tests.! Great guy!
If you want an easy A for an arts. DO NOT TAKE. most students say take him for an easy A in an art, but i did not think it was an EASY A. It was a lot of notes and if you miss one day goodluck getting the notes.
Idk what that person is talking about but Chad Winters is the easiest theater teacher ever! If you don't go to class what do you expect? If you go to class everyday and write down the notes on the power points and study them before the test I promise you will pass his class with an A. If not make sure you get the notes. SUPER EASY CLASS!
Chad is an awesome teacher! The class is easy, but you HAVE TO BE IN THE CLASS TO TAKE NOTES. If you don't have the notes, get them from someone else. That's the main thing in this class. Attendance was not mandatory for us, but you're gonna struggle if you aren't able to get the notes.
He is easy. Just show up and write down what is on his power points. Go to the test review day, as it is short and he says EXACTLY what will be on the tests. They are all scantron. Easy A. I cram the day of and get 99's and high As/100s. He is so easy it hurts and a good guy. He is a little goofy at times. Don't read the textbook. no point.
I took his THEA131 this semester. His tests come straight from the notes in class and he even does a test review the class before the test to help specify with what will be on the test. Highly recommend to take for Art, Music, Theatre credit.
I took Chad's Advanced Acting class. He is a good teacher. His methods just didn't work for me personally. I didn't really like his class too much, but he is pretty good. He knows what he is talking about and what he wants. There weren't any written tests in this class. Our performances were our tests. If you are considering acting, take the class.
Took notes daily from power points but we often got out early. Each test had bonus and there were other bonus assignments as well. The tests were straight from lecture notes. He would review the day before a test and tell you exactly what is going to be on the tests.
Mr. Winters is super passionate about theatre. His tests come straight from his lecture notes, and he even does a review before the test telling you everything that will be on there. You NEED TO GO TO CLASS! Or make a friend in the class who can send you the notes from the powerpoints he shows only during class. Would highly recommend!
Chad is a great teacher! His tests are straight from notes. He is very understanding and well respected. He loves what he does and makes the history of theatre very interesting. Oh, and one more thing to know is not leave during his class, it makes him upset. I would so take him again!
He's alright if you just need a class to fill up your schedule (in my case.) The test you do have to study for at least he day before. He is a power point teacher. ATTEND test review and he tells you whats going to be on the test.
His class was very easy. If you go to class and take notes you will defiantly pass this class. He is very dramatic sometimes which makes the class interesting. His powerpoints are detailed and go along with the tests. This class is only tests and quizzes. Its not mandatory to come to class but it helps. This class is way easier than Music and Art
Chad was really awesome. Show up and copy down the powerpoint slides for the test. The class before the test he tells you how the test will be laid out and what you should study. Attendance really isn't necessary, but he gives out extra credit in class randomly.
If you are in class to take the notes, he will tell you exactly what will be on the test. But you have to copy everything in the power points!
He's a good teacher. He lectures through a powerpoint and once you take all the notes, he gets more specific and tells you whats gonna be on the test. As long a you study what he gives you then it'll be easy to pass the class.
You can tell that he's very passionate about theatrical art, and he's great with providing examples during class as he really gets into the subject. Tests are straight-forward from the notes, and he goes over what exactly to study. Quizzes are on assigned plays, there's usually bonus on the tests.
Make sure you attend class to get the powerpoints and he gives a great test review. Nothing too difficult.
I took this class because I had to. It was super easy but I hated coming to class because of mr winters.
Good professor, easy class. Just make sure you get the notes. He goes over the test the class before.
I appreciated how much Mr. Winters is dedicated to the art of theatre. You can tell from how he teaches that he is very passionate about it. The only thing i dislike about him is that he gets in his feeling too easily; any little thing sets him off. When he is mad he ends class early, so if you dont want to be in class make him mad lol
I could tell that Mr. Winters is tremendously passionate about theatre. The class is pretty easy, you take notes each class off of his prezi slideshow. He lets you know exactly what will be on the test, but you HAVE to study.
He loves theater and teaching it. All you have to do is take notes from the slides and study and you'll pass easy. And HAVE to attend the plays.
The theater portion of this class can seem intimidating, and it takes some getting used to, but Mr. Winters makes you as comfortable as he can. He is very approachable and understanding. Th only thing is, you cannot miss more than 1-2 classes or your grade will be affected poorly. I was nervous for this section but actually had a lot of fun!
Just show up for the review he goes over EVERYTHING you need to know for the test. He does give random participation though so beware if you do decide to miss. the lectures are boring though but still an easy A
If your looking for an easy A this is the class to take. You have to attend every class but he will tell you exactly what to study for the test the class period before the exam.
This class was SUPER easy. As long as you show up to class (especially review days) you will pass with an A. He gives bonus if needed, and is more than willing to help you if you're struggling and care to be there. The only time we used the textbook was for bonus.
He was a good professor. His lectures shows his passion to theatre, but theyre boring as hell. I promise you if you hadnt had a good nights rest you will fall to sleep, but if you want an easy class and an easy A thats the place for you!
Easy A if you pay attention and go to class. Yes it gets boring but he's very passionate. His test reviews are very thorough and prepare you for EXACTLY what's going to be on the test. A lot of matching and true/false. At the end of the semester, he will test you on a movie/show you watch and A LOT of questions come from that on the Final.
Mr. Winters is a solid professor. However, his class can be extremely boring, but he tries his best to make it interesting and explain everything well. He rants on and on about theatre a lot of the time, but he usually realizes this and comes back to reality. If you take him, just take notes in class. You really don't even need to study very hard.
Mr. Chad is a great professor. His class is borning but he does his best to make you interested in the subject. He is passionate about theater. His tests are easy and you know exactly what will be on the test.
Make a friend just in case you miss the review day. He gives you exactly what will be on the test but the first one will probably confuse you. DO NOT overthink it. He has matching sections that just mean pick what came from each era or section. So he could have a broad topic that was under one era. Like musical theater matches with a person.
Chad (as he's informally known) is an awesome professor! Show up (duh...), take notes, study, and you'll be fine. Beyond that though, he's just such a caring person. You can't help but like the guy! He's really passionate about theater and it shows. I'm considering his intro to acting class in the future & I'm a shy introvert lol!
Im taking his class right now it is easy but it is very boring.
Mr. Winters is super chill, he takes roll everyday so show up. He teaches from prezi's that you can find online. 4 tests, and has a review before each test and basically tells you what is going to be on it. There are a lot of quizlets already made for each test, so stuff those and you will be fine.
Easy A just show up , he's literally the most boring professor I have tho, literally so boring. He's ok but so extra so make sure you have a friend so you'll have somewhat of a less painful time. His test are easy aswell, he tells you whats on them and give you extra credit, if you fail idk what wrong with you....
I ment THEA131
his class is easy calls roll every class for a grad but gives you 3 free absent days. The day before the test he tells you exactly what is going to be on the test. All his test are matching & multiple choice & gives a bonus question and a bonus opportunity for 10 additional points after the test. He does require you to attend two plays w/ a quiz
Mr. Winters was a real pleasure to have as a teacher. He was funny and enthusiastic. If you get the notes and at least show up for review day, you'll pass. He gives you exactly what is on the test. I made all 100s and he offers bonus.
This professor is very passionate about his job! He loves theatre and his class if very easy. If u show up and take notes you can get an A. He had to remove quizzes from his schedule bc we did not have time for them, but no reason to complain. Take him.
I had this class online and it was very easy. One assignment per week just answering questions from a textbook chapter. Only tests are on plays we watch.
I loved this section of the class. It was so much fun! Easiest way to pass is to come to class open-minded and just have fun with the assignments!
He is very passionate about what he teaches, take notes and you will be fine. 3 or 4 tests + 1 play. Never made lower than a C on tests.
He is a good teacher. He talks a lot and gets into what he is teaching which is great but some of the stuff is kinda boring. Kinda dreaded going to this class just cause of the material. He really did try to make what we were learning fun and I appreciate that. He can be funny and great. The test is exactly like the notes just make sure you study.
Took his class online and it wasnt hard at all. Although the one thing that made me mad was that he challenged my beliefs and didnt really respect them as a teacher should. But overall hes understanding and super easy
With only 7 days of being with Mr. Chad Winters for this Honors class, I can tell taking any class with him would be very fun. He teaches theater well and allows students to be very interactive.
Theat 131 online is an easy class with interesting material! Mr. Winters is passionate about what he teaches and encourages students to express their opinions and think freely.
Mr. Chad is very passionate about theatre and for that reason makes this class more interesting. This was a very easy class to take online so if you have the option, take it! He encourages students to express themselves and never lets his opinions get in the way of his grading. You will do great as long as you read the book. Highly recommend!
Hes pretty fun. Not very hard at all
Mr. Winters is so passionate for theatre and is really good at speaking to engage the class. He gives bonus, easy homework, and tests. He is a solid choice!
He is a good director, but isn't very caring and doesn't respond to emails even if you are asking about an assignment. Even if you have a doctor's note(contagious) he doesn't care to help. I will never take him again. He was very rude to me and even kicked me out of class for asking a simple question. His tests are harder than they should be.
He is very passionate about Theatre and expects you to be also. He gives no study guides but expects you to know every vocabulary term he's ever told you without letting you write it down. His class is mostly participation points so he will fail you for not showing up or being late. For the Scene One: Act One book, only CH 1-5 are required.
Ive heard this class is super easy and you dont have to show up to pass. LIES. I dropped this class because i had no idea what was going on. His moodle is NOT organized at all. You can tell that he writes his own tests because the questions are always weirdly worded. The test were online which made it easier, but thats not saying a lot
I absolutely loved this class. As long as you are passionate about theatre, you will love this class. Attendance is a must as you will be working in groups to create a scene at the end of the semester. You will also have to speak in front of people, so make sure you are comfortable with that. Participation is most of your grade. Amazing professor!
I enjoyed this class way more than I thought I was going to. If you have to take theatre take it with professor Winter's. He is so passionate about theatre and it shows through his lectures. Make sure to take notes as the test come from them!!!
honestly, i haven't attended his class for since the first week of school. He's very passionate about what he teaches, but will bore you to death. As long as you keep up in moodle, you should be okay to pass. He's very understanding and lenient about due dates as well.
Mr.Winter was really passionate about theatre and made it interesting. His class is simple, listen, write what is on the slides, and take the test. Some questions are tricky but the tests are online. There are a few important dates you should not miss so check the syllabus for those. Other than that it is a pretty standard class. Go to plays!
Chad Winters was a good teacher and gives lectures every day. He tries his best to make Theatre fun and interesting but is very passionate about it. Take the notes, it's equivalent to your study guide and the study guide is literally your test. You have to go to class to get the notes or email a friend for them.
His tests are open note but don't match the notes we take in class. Some things on the tests are completely off the wall. Although he is a nice guy, if you are not interested in theatre don't take this class.
Although the class was super easy overall, the material and schedules were unorganized and all over the place. He was very resilient in making people participate in front of everyone. He went so far as to make one girl cry because he wanted everyone to perform. super nice but doesn't take no for an answer. Overall easy class, no real hard work.
Easy class. He makes you perform in front of the class, but it was tolerable. He gave notes for the final so it wasn't bad at all. Just show up to class, participate, and do the assignments and you'll pass.
He goes over the notes before the exam and tells you specifically what to highlight. He gives extra credit if you watch his plays, but if I am being honest I do not remember receiving any credit for the two plays I went to. He is extremely passionate about an introductory class that most students take only to satisfy their art credit.
Mr. Winters is a great professor and well respected. Take his class, he makes his classes fun and entertaining,
For my first semester of college, it was a lifesaver to have Mr. Chad. he is very compassionate about what he teaches and truly cares.
Probably the easiest A I've ever gotten, you barely have to put in any work to get a 100 on every test and most of the material is common knowledge. The discussion boards can take a little time and you only have one attempt on the quizzes, but if you're looking for a stress-free easy A this is for you.
I took this class my sophmore year and it was so easy. It was online and a lot of the time you could use your notes. It was an easy A and he was not a hard grader. I would recommend taking him if you can!
Heads up- he does not mention anything about attendance, then at the end of the semester puts it in for a grade. An OK class. Very boring lectures, but pretty easy to pass, especially if you are just trying to get the credit. Don't recommend it if you are actually interested in theater.
Mr. Winters is a good-hearted professor. He is understanding and his participation in class is fun, at most slightly embarrassing. His assignments are easy, and he grades very leniently. Nothing to worry about when going to this section of the class.
