I love this teacher. I was un sure of him at first, but I have by far learned more in this one semester of history than I did 4 years of high school. Take god notes and listen to what he has to say and you'll do great! I recommend Mr. Wooley!!!
Mr. Wooley is a great professor. He has 4 tests, that is all your grade goes off of. the majority of his test questions come from the notes you took in his class and his lectures are inmteresting. I recommend Mr. Wooley.
The first day of mr wooley class he will tell you no extra credit, no homework, no essay, wont drop a low grade, just four test. At first I wanted to go and drop this class but as the class continue I got interested what he was teaching. The only advice is take good notes and dont miss class. Good teacher if your not lazy to earn your grade.
A great teacher just study the notes and try to attend class on a regular basis and don't let the first day trick you. He's a nice guy.
Really great teacher!! Comes off intimidating the first day but he's really good and makes class a lot of fun. Highly recommended
This guy is the best teacher I have ever had. He makes history interesting not just a bunch of dry dates and events. If you will show up and take notes, study a little. This class is cake but you will learn.
I was never one to like history, however Mr.Wooley has made the subject fun and more than interesting. I now even talk to others about what I am learning. Thank you Mr. Wooley for making History something that I look forward to.
I would highly recommend him to anybody. Great teacher, you must attend class to do well though. He presents the material in a way that keeps your interest. Inside and outside of the classroom he is an all around nice guy. I wish other teachers would emulate him!!!
Mr. Wooley is a great teacher and extremely funny. He is strictly notes and I never opened my text book, but this I heard they're starting to use a new edition of history book so don't hold me to that. I honestly enjoyed coming to my history class and I've never ever liked history. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Mr. Wooley
I just messed up his second and third tests because I didn't show up one day and missed the notes. Just go to class everyday and write everything down that he repeats twice and you'll do fine.
Mr. Wooley is easy if you attend class regularly. He makes class easier than most.
Mr. Wooley is so awesome! He is funny and teaches like he is telling a story. If you just read over your notes a couple of times before the test you will ace it. There is never homework and class is never boring, 5 stars!
Take notes, listen. Great analogies. If you have any kind of brain then you will love and pass this class.
A great professor who doesn't require you to get the book if you can get by without it and make sure you show up to class and get all the notes. His lectures make understanding the material easy by making it click through examples to modern day life.
Mr. Wooley changed my mind about history classes. He makes class interesting, every time. I never want to miss his class. As long as you just go to class, take notes (He repeats things that are important slowly so everyone can write them down), and read over your notes the day before the test, you will make an A+, I swear! I recommend this teacher!
Mr. Wooley is an AWESOME teacher! Everything is based on your notes. He makes history very fun and keeps your attention. You will love his class, especially if you don't like history b/c he makes it interesting. Very fun teacher!
I loved Mr. Wooley's class! He relates what he's talking about to things you'll understand. We never used the textbook- everything was from the notes. He's super funny and will always repeat important information. He made me want to come to class :)
MR. WOOLEY IS AN AWESOME TEACHER. HE DOES NOT USE THE BOOK AND HE TELLS YOU UP FRONT THAT IT IS MORE FOR REFERENCE. HE LECTURES 4-6 CLASSES AND GIVES A VIDEO OR TWO IN BETWEEN. HE PULLS TWO BONUS QUESTIONS FROM THE VIDEO'S. HE IS VERY INTERACTIVE WITH THE CLASS. HUGE CLUE, WHEN HE REPEATS SOMETHING WRITE IT DOWN, IT WILL BE ON THE TEST.
Know your lecture notes and you will make an A in this class.
Mr. Wooley was an awesome teacher. He does not use the book. Just pay attention and take notes and you have an A.
Mr Wooley is a great teacher 4 tests the whole semester not comprehansive if you pay attention and take good notes you will do well on tests and pass with a high grade!
Mr. Wooley is the best teacher I have ever had!!! He is funny, makes the material interesting. Show up to class take good notes and you have an A!!
Mr. Wooley is one of the best History teachers I have had. He is a very nice guy, so don't let the first day intimidate you. No book is required, and his tests come from his notes only. This is why if you want to do well, you have to go to class. He is a "walker", meaning he walks around class. If he repeats something twice, expect it on the test.
Mr. Wooley is a great teacher he incorporates everyday life to his teaching, that helps you retain and understand what is going on!! Thank you Mr. Wooley for a great semester!!!
Awesome professor! He is extremely interesting, nice, and funny. I used to hate history until I took his class. Now I am majoring in history! He does not use the textbook, so study your notes, and you will pass with a high grade. You will take buku notes, so bring a recorder! He just gives 4 multipule choice tests with bonus questions. Take him!
Mr. Wooley is my favorite teacher EVER!!! He gives only 4 tests and they're based on your lecture notes!!! He tells you their is no need for the book so dont buy it. As long as you take good notes and attend class your going to get a A for sure!!!!
Always had a way to relate history to real life today, helped me understand. Take notes, you'll pass the test.
Always had a way to relate history to real life today, helped me understand. Take notes, you'll pass the test. He will call you out in class to answer questions, but it helps you learn.
Always had a way to relate history to real life today, helped me understand. He will call you out in class to answer questions, but it helps you learn. You don't need to buy the book, everything is based on the lecture.
Mr. Wooly is the best teacher I have ever had. His teaching style is that of a storyteller, which helps you to retain what you have learned. You do not need a book in his class but you will take notes. He only has 4 tests all semester and no quizes. He tells you historical dates but doesn't test your knowledge of dates.
Mr. Wooley is an awesome professor. No assignments at all unless he gives extra credit. Just three easy tests that are directly from the notes given in class. Mr. Wooley for president!!!
Mr. Wooley was an awesome prof. for 1302. He does not use the book so attendance is mandatory. Anything repeated twice is going to be on a test. Only does 4 tests the entire semester. Can't go wrong if you take him. Oh, and don't let the first day scare you either.
The tests all come from lectures so if you study and take notes it will be a breeze. His lectures are really interesting,I really have learned a lot in his class. I will so recommend him,i'm going to end the semester with an A !
He is a pretty easy teacher. Took online class. He gives you 9 trys on the quizes, 3 exams the third one is the final. Theres not weekly work, rather short essays and comparing and contracting two differnt history events or views. Does NOT grade tough. If you write the paper you'll a 100.
GREAT PROFESSOR! Took online class, you get 9 attempts for quizzes (he just wants you to know the correct answer- not guess) There are 3 tests, and the 3rd is the final. A couple of DB and a handful of essays, if you do the essays you will get a 100. VERY EASY A!!!!
This whole test is lecture notes and tests. Just attend the class and listen you'll do fine on the tests. They are easy and go in order of the lectures. He is interesting and gives you secret stories and random facts about history that nobody usually knows.
If he repeats something, it will be on the test. Very easy tests, they go in order of the lecture notes. There are only four tests and lecture, so make sure you attend and pay attention. He is funny and does give you random interesting facts throughout the lecture. He likes class participation, he WILL learn your name.
Great Professor!!!
Fantastic teacher! I took him for 1301 and 1302 and I got an A in both. I'm the type who gets bored very easily in class, but this teacher made me want to attend class because he makes it so interesting! He teaches history like a story, as it should be. Highly recommended teacher and don't feel intimidated on the first day,he does that on purpose
Mr Wooley was an amazing teacher! He's has a great funny personality that will make you want to listen to him. He makes history fun for you. Make sure to take good notes and study them. Tests aren't that hard, just make sure to study. TAKE HIS CLASS.
great teacher, knows his stuff and projects it very well into teaching. no book needed, highly recommend. this is how teaching should be WOOLEY FOR PRESIDENT
Mr. Wooley is an AWESOME teacher! Its the only class I've ever been to where I did not want it to end! Time flies in his class because he's so damn funny and interesting. Absolutely recommend this man!!
One of the best prof's I've ever had. Very helpful, doesn't make you remember dates, doesn't ramble on uselessly, will answer questions clearly. I made a 92 on my first test, this is how easy his class is. REMEMBER: IF HE SAYS IT TWICE, IT'S ON THE TEST!!!
Mr. Wooley is FANTASTIC! He's the only professor who the whole class lets out a collective "aww" when class ends. TAKE HIS CLASS, just make sure you attend! He's exceptionally helpful, funny, clear, and just all around fantastic. I couldn't write a better review for an instructor.
The easiset teacher i have ever had. 4 exams all straight from lecture. no book required. super easy to understand. easy A just study pre exam from your notes.
Mr. Wooley is the best history teacher I've ever had. He loves history and makes you love it too. He gives 4 exams, the final is not cummulative. No need to get the text book because he is all lecture. He engages the class in the discussion and relates history to current examples. I cant wait to take him for HIST 1302
Professor Wooley is by far the BEST history teacher I've ever had.he makes history really funny and really easy. you don't need to buy the textbook, you just have to take notes. the tests are pretty easy, you only have 4!
He is awesome! Took him online, no book needed he give you all the material you need to do the work. You have a few essays discussion boards and the test are same questions are your quizzes. His lessons are interesting and easy to follow.
Best teacher ever!!! I took History 1301 online and I loved his class, very easy, but interesting. Take this teacher, and you will get a A.
Mr.Wooley is by far the best History teacher. Explains well, knows what he's talking about, tests are based on his notes which are really easy to follow. Never boring as he makes his lectures sound like a very interesting story. Definitely an A+ class. Should definitely take!!!
Took online. Lots of work but not really time-consuming. Grades essays really easy and as long as you read the online lessons you will be fine. Wish I would have had him for HIST 1302.
Took online and while there are a lot of assignments (lots of writing), it wasn't difficult. As long as you read his notes and do all assignments, you'll do fine. 3 exams, 10 quizzes, 2 DB's, a writing project and 5 essays. Take his class! He's very helpful if you have questions and quick to respond to emails.

Online- If your looking for an easy history course this class is for you! Easy A! Not a hard online class at all
Mr. Wooley is one of the best teachers I have taken at TCC, he loves his job and knows what he is talking about. Tests are SUPER easy if you just take your notes and study them before the test. Easy A!!!
You are crazy if you dont take Mr.Wooley. Hands down best teacher ever!!!!!! Easy class. He is so easy to understand. No book purchase necessary!! Just take notes, he uses those for the test.
A whimsical, benign and exubrent professor! Very knowledgeable, but most of all you'll want to attend class and he inspires cognitive learning; also very candid about how history really was. You'll love this class!
great professor real helpful a very nice great class
Fantastic teacher! Hands down the best teacher I have had at TCC. History is definitely not my subject and I quickly lose interest with most teachers. Prof. Wooley makes the class interesting and I actually WANTED to attend his classes. He doesn't assign homework or test reviews. ALL his tests are based on his lectures in class, so take notes!
I took Professor Wooley for hist 1301 online. I'm not a big history buff or anything close. He provides lesson notes in addition to your textbook that make the quizzes and exams easier to obtain an A on. The class was a breeze.
This is a great class to take. I never learned or cared to learn anything in any of my previous classes (literally, my teachers would bore me to sleep) but Mr. Wooley makes the material interesting and relateable. Also, he doesn't bore you with the text book. Make sure to take notes, lots of notes, and STUDY them. Great Professor!!
I definitely recommend taking this class. It was an easy A. All you need to do is attend class, take notes, and study those notes. No textbook. No homework. No essays. Tests are not hard if you study the material...which is straight from the lecture. I really enjoyed going to this class.
I was quite nervous when I first took his class. But he is the BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! His class is easy because he makes it that way and I am taking him again!!! Love the way he teaches!!! Makes the class laugh and participate. He is awesome wish TCC had more professors like him.
Mr. Wooley is by far one of my favorite professors and I reccommend him to anybody I can. His class is strictly lecture-based and the tests go by his lectures. What helped me was I would record his lectures and take some notes while he spoke but later on listening to the lectures really helped the info stick. 4 tests total, 50 questions each, easy.
Professor Wooley makes it all crystal clear, and as long as you attend, take notes, and study you will do well. Took him for Hist 1301, and then Hist 1302, back to back.
Great teacher! Quizzes are 10 questions & you have 1 hour and 10 tries to take it. Exams are about 30 questions and not too hard. Gives 1 project and a few essays but grades very easy- I got 100 on all of them. Think he grades more for effort than content. Follow instructions and you'll do fine.
Best online class so far. Although all expectations are clear from the start, he also emails reminders. Workload is extremely manageable.
Great Professor So far very understanding the workload is very managebale and he lets you know what is due and he sends out awesome email reminders!
TAKE THIS CLASS!! DO NOT NEED BOOK!! He was so helpful and I HATE HISTORY!!! Gives a 10 question quiz each week and you use notes. He does give 3 essays a 5page, a 3-5 page, and a 1-2 page essay. Seems as though he grades the essays well im not the best writer i think he just wants to see the effort you've put into it.
If you want a teacher that lectures and barely uses the textbook, take him. He is a clear speaker and his quizzes are mostly based on his lectures. Seriously, if you don't want to utilize a textbook, Mr. Wooley is the professor you want.
Took this class online. DO NOT NEED BOOK AT ALL! 10 question quizzes given over all chapters he gives a couple of essays. That's pretty much it. He's simple but helpful.
Mr. Wooley is awesome. He is very responsive to e-mails and grades pretty easy if you turn in a good assignment. I received all 100's. 3 exams with 50 questions. 1hour45min per exam. 11 10 question quizzes, but you get multiple attempts. 3 essays (short, analytical and a project one of 4-5 pgs). 2 discussion boards. Work for it and you will get A's
He gives you what is due, when it is due from the get go. There are several papers, but very easy so do not let a 5-page paper scare you away because that is how much information is needed. You have a quiz over each lesson and then 3 test. No final, the 3rd test is your final. He is very helpful with any questions. Would take again!
Mr. Wooley is the reason I'm majoring in GovernmentHistory. I loathed both subjects in high school and because of Mr. Wooley, I'm obsessed with History! He is very helpful, hilarious, willing to help, and clear. You'll know what's on the test because he keeps it simple. I recommend everyone takes this course wMr. Wooley.
Wooley is the kind of professor that is a joy to watch teach. He's passionate about history and it shows. Before taking his class history was one of my least favorite subjects. However, Wooley made history relatable and interesting. I wish all professors were this dedicated and effective. I took both Honors HIST 1301 and 1302 with him.
NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED, HE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR AND HE MAKES YOU THINK AND HIS QUIZZES ARE FROM HIS LECTURES. NO HOMEWORK AT ALL. ATTEND CLASS, PARTICIPATE AND YOU WILL PASS.
Excellent professor! Lectures are interesting and hilarious! There is a total of 4 tests, final in not cumulative. No Homework and textbook is not required. Expect taking a lot of notes in class, having a recorder helps.
Great summer course. There are quizzes due every week from the lessons he gives you. Most answers are in the lessons, some in the book, and are easy to find. Can take quizzes 9 times to get the full 10 points. You'll have 3 exams (50 questions), 2 discussion boards, 1 analytical essay, 1 short essay, and 1 project essay. Stay on top of what's due
Summer course. Easy A, as long as you put the effort in. 10 question quiz after each lesson (10 lessons), 3 exams, 2 discussion boards, and 3 easy writing assignments. No reason not to get an A in this class, as long as you do the work!
The first day he will let you know what he expects from you as a student, but trust me he is AMAZING!!! I took him during Summer 1: lectures keep you interested, and his quizzes are off of what he says during the lecture. DO NOT SKIP CLASS. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DONT TAKE HIM!!
I took him for US History 1 and currently enrolled for US History 2, awesome instructor keeps u on point and lectures are not boring at all.
Took online during summer. several big papers to write- that was the only negative about this class IMHO, but the normal weekly stuff took less than a day to complete. most questions on tests are repeats of quiz (HW) questions & can be answered from lesson notes. seems to be a lenient grader. just a little time consuming due to the papers.
Professor Wooley clearly lays out what is expected of you. A few writing assignments, just do a little research and read the chapters. 10 quizzes, 3 exams and a few papers. Should be an easy A. Be sure and read the lesson notes he gives out, most of the quizzes are based on them.
Get ready to write a lot of papers. Boring, boring, boring. Says you need the book but its a waste of money. Did not open once, everything comes from boring word docs he provides. I'm an all A student and dropped this class because I wasn't learning anything. Easy A? Yep. Are you going to learn? Nope.
I took this class online in the Fall. As long as you read the book and his notes (especially his notes!), it's easy to pass this class. The quizzes are based primarily on his notes and you get multiple attempts at them. You have plenty of time for the exams as well. There are a few written assignments, but it's really not difficult.
Professor Wooley is an incredible history teacher and I'm so glad I got to take his class for History 1301 and 1302. Take him, you won't regret it!!!!
Mr. Wooley is a great professor. His lectures are very interesting. I would def take Mr. Wooley again! Tests are multiple choice. Easy A if you: 1. attend classes, 2. like to take notes, 3. study hard.
Hands down the best professor I've ever had. Wish he taught Summer classes.
I took professor wooleys class for the spring and I loved it! HANDS DOWN BEST PROFESSOR EVER. I seriously dread history and he has made it so interesting. He is very funny and understanding. His lectures are not boring at all and they are short. NO homework ever, and only 4 test including the final. Show up for class, take notes. Easy A
Grade comes from 4 tests, all were taken from information from his lectures. He is super entertaining, and just a nice guy. Good history professor. No textbook needed at all, and no homework.
Great professor. His class is enjoyable not because he's easy but he cause he is really that good of a professor. You will WANT to learn. Engaging, no bs, and clear as can be. Study those notes and you will pass.
I took his lecture class this spring only 4 test no assignments or papers. Show up study your notes and you will pass. Test are super Easy. Lectures are fun and he usually lets your out early. Would recommend.
Mr. Wooley is an easy grader, essays are lengthy. Took online class for S16, he's always there to help and gives extra time when asked. Would definitely take again, online easy class!
Tells history in a way you will remember. Take good notes. Lectures are what will be on tests.
Take Wooley!!! Semester breakdown: 10 question quizzes every other week, you can retake them several times. He gives chapter word documents, all the quiz answers can be found on them. The tests are a little bit more tricky, but not hard. There is 3 writing assignments but they're not difficult. He is lenient on the length, so don't stress over it.
Amazing teacher! No books needed. All exam questions come from notes, although the questions are worded a little different than presented.
Professor Wooley is nice, but sometimes he can be a little moody. It's ALL BASED ON NOTES NO BOOK NEEDED AND NO REVIEWS WHAT SO EVER FOR TEST. He is very approachable but like I said he can be real nice one minute then you'll notice a mood change. I, at this time, was not a god note taker so this class was a little challenging for me at first.
Took Summer 1 with Professor Wooley; be prepared to read and write a few papers. Quizzes were all open book and was able to take multiple times. Several papers to write and he is fare on grading. I would take his class again if needed.
Mr. Wooley was probably the best professor I will ever have. Lectures are hilarious but get ready to type or write a lot. As long as you attend class and study from what the lectures, you will get an A!
I took this course online and ended up with a B. The tests are long, but not to difficult if you study the material. We had a couple of papers , but they were not too bad.
I took Mr. Wooley for Summer 2. He is great about letting you have multiple attempts on the quiz. Does not except late work period. He responds quickly to emails. I would definitely take his class again. Great professor
I took this course online and I will say he's a great professor. There is no reason you shouldn't pass , he has a clear outline of what needs to be done . The class is pretty simple if you follow directions. I would highly recommend
Mr. Wooley is the best professor I've ever taken. First of all, this class is an easy A. He was clear, concise, and there was nothing he said in class that wasn't relevant. I HATED history before his class and now I'm a history major at UTA. So, yes, I'd definitely recommend taking him!
Adored Wooley!!! He's the head of the department. No book, all in class notes. Won't give you his notes, have a buddy if you plan on missing. Extra credit on every exam. Made history enjoyable (I thought I hated/sucked at history but I don't now). No projects, no essays. Participate- but he usually only picks the students that seem interested.
Best professor I've ever taken! Very clear and funny lectures. I would take this class again if I could. Show up for every class to take notes (totally worth it though). No book required.
Took him online and it was so easy! TAKE IF YOU WANT AN A! He has quizzes that you can take multiple times, as well as discussion boards. Maybe did 3 papers super easy! I would take him again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend online class!!!
I love Mr. Wooley! He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He's hilarious and actually makes you want on learn. His lectures are never boring and very informative. Tests are easy if you come to class and take notes, which you will want to do because he is so great.
Mr. Wooley has been my favorite history professor. His lectures are amazing and interactive and with a good lecture comes an easy class because you actually retain the information he talks about. I recommend Mr. Wooley to all my friends.
I had Wooley for History 1302 this past semester and he is hands down the best professor I've had yet! His lectures are wonderful and engaging. As long as you show up and take good notes you should do great on the 4 tests. If lots of homework or extra reading isn't your thing THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU. Tests are based on lectures, no book required.
Loved Professor Wooley! No homework, all lecture, take good notes! Every Tues & Thurs was like story time. Very entertaining. Lectures about history in a way you remember, because he does a phenomenal job of relating history to the present. Taking him again, for sure.
Took Wooley online and got an A. He is straight forward from day one. Gives you the entire work and due dates (Sundays) on day one. Does not change them. You can work ahead. Test online, can take multiple times. 3 very easy papers. Put in grades in on time. If you fail, its all because you. If your nervous, take this class. The BEST no book needed
Show up to class, take good notes, study and you'll do great in exams! Awesome teacher, will definitely take him again.
Mr. Wooley was an excellent teacher I would recommend to anyone looking to take this class. As long as you follow his guidelines and turn everything in on time, you shouldn't have an issue. He gives directions upfront and clearly, I didn't have to contact him once for any reason just because all of his instructions are understandable.
Took TCC Connect class, 4 discussion boards, 10 quizzes straight from his own Lesson material (no book needed), 3 essays, and that's it. Nicely spaced out over the semester, never overwhelmed with work. Instructions clear and precise, with email reminders. Will be taking Hist-1302 from him :)
There are a few discussion boards. He doesn't do exams, instead there are papers. You have to read and know the material to do well on the papers. Quizzes come directly from his notes.
Professor Wooley was good. I took his summer online class and it was pretty easy. You will get 4 discussion boards and 10 quizzes (quizzes over his lectures, and some from the book) with the opportunity to retake the quiz as many times as you want. Only one paper was done (4 pages long). Pretty easy class, very organized, interesting reading.
He's Greaaaat! take him
I took Mr. Wooley's Hist1301 online over the summer. It was an extremely easy class! 10 quizzes that were 10 questions each, with multiple attempts to take each quiz. There were also 4 discussion boards and 1 paper. It would be very difficult for anyone to make less than an A in his class. He also responds to emails very quickly. Great professor!
Took this class online for a summer class. 10 quizzes with multiple attempts, one paper assignment, and 4 DB. Grades fairly, you will not fail this class if you do as he says. Great professor! Take him you wont regret it.
I took his online summer class. 10 quizzes, 4 discussion boards, 1 paper. No textbook, just the notes he provides. Easy A. Doesn't accept late work because it's so easy, you have no excuses to turn in late work. My only complaint is that the prompt for the paper was broad and confusing. Other than that, if you want something easy-- take him.
Mr. Wooley is without a doubt the best history teacher I have ever had. He is hilarious and makes the class fun. Even though he just gives lectures the class is still so much fun. He makes it interesting and you'll never get bored.
You will never have homework. Tests are every few weeks, all based on his lectures. Make sure you know how to take good notes and try not to miss class, any day you miss is a day of notes on the next test. I hate history and he has made me love it. Lectures aren't boring at all, creates a story within his lectures. Amazing professor 100% recommend.
Dr. Wooley is a one of a kind professor, he gets very into his lectures and makes history more enjoyable than ever. I took him this last semester for U.S. History 2 and will be taking him again this upcoming semester for U.S. History 1.
Funny guy, grading based off of 4 tests all of which are easy if you take notes and study a bit.
The class consisted of writing a lot of discussion posts. No tests. It was really easy to do and in the end I got all my points needed and got an A. I didn't really read the book too much but definitely still need it. Easy class. Easy A.
Professor Wooley is an amazing teacher and I'll never forget him. He is so funny, witty, and smart. His lectures are so entertaining, it's like being told a story. He relates things to modern day scenarios so you can better understand. The class had nothing but four exams. Take good notes, study them, get an A. Take him, he's the man for the job.
This man is spectacular. Every class is story time and you'll become so engrossed, that you will be disappointed when class runs out of time. This is who other teachers should strive to emulate.
The class is very entertaining he is a very funny guy. No powerpoints or book so get ready to write all class period. Three easy exams and that's the only grade you're going to get so don't forget to study and don't miss class.
I hated history before his class but I would look forward to learning in his everyday. Lots of notes so don't miss class. (Not like you'd want too anyway)
His class is 100% lecture with no powerpoint/book, so if you miss a class you better hope the person you get your notes from knows how to take notes. The only grades in the class are 4 exams. I took him for history 1 & 2. I have ADHD and am a visual learner, but I still made an A for both classes. If you go to class and study the notes you'll pass.
Good lectures , makes them interesting and very funny
Mr. Wooley is an amazing professor. It is all lecture so if you miss a class make sure to ask for the notes. He does allow you to use a recorder which I highly recommend because his lectures are full of details. I did not care for history until I took his class and now I really appreciate history. Study the lecture for an easy A
He lectures, but he makes it interesting. Multiple choice test final not comprehensive.
I took his summer History 1301 course and it was the easiest class I've ever taken. I'm new to college and was super stressed going in but it was amazing. He is funny and tells his lecture's in such a fun way and makes them interesting. If you take good notes during his lectures and study them you'll get an A+. Highly recommend.
Loved, loved Professor Wooley! There are no papers to write, no outside assignments and no projects. You dont need a book. His test come from his lectures though, so come to every class and write down everything he says. He gives extra credit questions on the tests which are super easy.
took him online. loved his class, super easy. take him you won't regret it!!!
Took online summer course. You don't need the book - he gives you a link to an online book. No tests or papers. Strictly 300-word db's, with two 100-word responses per chapter. You must complete the db's by the due date every week. Do that and you have an easy A. Responds quickly to emails and grades quickly. Recommend & def would take again!
Every lecture is told like a story, you are very engaged throughout the whole lecture. Definitely recommend recording his lecture because he allows it and it is very helpful. As someone who doesn't like History this class really changed my perspective. No PowerPoint. No outside homework. Just four tests that aren't difficult if you study.
If you take notes you will pass. Very easy to understand and funny
Professor Wooley's class is an easy A. He uses a free textbook and all you have to do is a 300 word discussion board with 2 100 word responses every week. You also have an essay, but the prompt gives you freedom to choose what you talk about. As long as you do the discussion board every week and the essay you're guaranteed to pass.
Mr. Wooley is beyond amazing, tcc is luck yo have this guy. His class is so easy because it is so interesting you CANNOT FAIL. Every lecture is like a story being told, you can envision everything that he is saying so vividly. 4 exams all lecture based, take good notes, study those notes make an 90+ every exam. Rare professor, take him hands down!
Took his online 1302. Graded on 12 discussion boards (500 words per week) and 1 essay. We did get Halloween week off and the essay was due right after Thanksgiving. Super easy grader and doesn't expect much. If you want an easy history class, this is the one to take. Only beef is broad writing prompts but it really can't get any better than this.
Professor Wooley is an amazing teacher. I was hesitant taking him at first because it was all strictly lecture and no homework or quiz assignments to help your grade, its just exam grades. The bad thing about this is you have to do good on all exams (4). The good thing, his lectures are very entertaining, relatable and easy to follow. Fast talker
I would 100% take Professor Wooley again! He was awesome. No tests, all DB's. There's 1 writing assignment that he gave the whole semester for, although it could be a bit long to rush it in if you started it last minute. He was great and his DB's directly related to our opinions and takes on the subjects we covered. They actually were very neat!
Mr. Wooley is hands down the BEST professor! I was hesitant at first because his class is 100% lecture. Each lecture is told like a story, it's engaging and he's really funny! 4 tests, no homework, all you need to do is: 1. show up, 2. take notes and 3. STUDY the notes. Last test is not comprehensive. Take him you wont regret it at all, I promise!!
Probably the easiest online class you will ever take. It's all discussion board based and he even encourages you to express your opinion which is awesome. There's one essay in which he doesn't give a specific word count to follow, but for me, 700 words sufficed & you don't have to be an English major to write the essay as he grades them generously.
Great teacher. Do the work get an easy A.
I took Mr. Wooley for a maymester class that was 3 weeks online and it was the easiest A I ever received. It was 13 discussion boards, as long as you follow directions youll receive an A
Professor Wooley is without a doubt the BEST teacher I've ever had! He doesn't require a textbook for his class, nor gives out homework. So your grade totally rides on your ability to show up to class, LISTEN, and take notes. Which is no problem, because he gives amazing lectures and I loved the way he associated history with everyday life.
Mr. Wooley is awesome. His classes are far from boring, he really keeps you engaged in his lectures. Test are relatively easy as long as you study and take good notes.
I took HIST 1302 with Professor Wooley during Summer I, online. He assigned a total of 13 discussion board posts, 300 words each w/ two 100 word responses. These 13 posts made up our entire grade. The book is provided for free, online. I definitely recommend his class if you are just needing the history credit.
I took history 1301 and 1302 for summer school with professor Chad Wooley. He is unquestionably the best history teacher, and may be the best teacher I've ever been thankful enough to get. It is strictly lecture, so all of his tests come straight from the notes. He is very understanding and kind to his students. I wish I could take his class again.
Great professor! He is great at lecturing, is engaging and makes it easy to remember! He is very kind and really cares what you think! He has a lot of class involvement in his lectures. I love this class so much especially as my first class of the day! You must take notes on his lectures, that is what the tests consist of, no power points.
Took as an online class. So easy that if you fail you should just quit now. He has 1 assignment due every week that is very simple and an essay at the end of the semester. Honestly is just looking to see if you put some effort, which if you do is an easy A+++. He provides the book.
I LOVED THIS CLASS. Professor Wooley is amazing. Make sure to attend each class because there is only 4 tests. He is great, and funny. I cannot wait to take HIST 1302!
Your success in this class depends entirely on you. Class is all lecture, so take good notes. Prof Wooley makes the lectures interesting and funny so its easy to pay attention. Exams are straightforward and easy as long as you study. I definitely recommend this professor!
Hes an absolutely amazing teacher. Just finished hist1301 w/him & literally the best class EVER. Only grades r 4 tests that r based off of his lectures-no papers or speeches. His lectures give historical figures PERSONALITY so u care about whats going on. His lectures r like a story, each point/character builds up to the big picture. ME SMART NOW
I can't say enough good things about Mr. Wooley. I just finished his online HIST1302 class and it was great. I got an A in it. You have a discussion board a week and then an essay at the end. Everything is clearly written and it is easy to understand each assignment. I would so take him again if I needed to.
Keeps class awake by occasionally making jokes. As long as youre in class and take good notes you should be good. Doesnt say what the texts are over, so its hit or miss if you try to study specific things. You can record the lecture and go over it before the exams. You MUST have a buddy in there to give you a copy of note if you miss class.
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!! DEF RECOMMEND FOR SURE!!! Take his class!!!!! He is so funny and entertaining and his lecture is never boring. His class is straight lecture and there is no homework. All there are exams. Take notes and record the lecture!!! Also, get a classmate's number so if you do miss you can get the notes from someone else.
I can not help but say nice things about Professor Wooley. He is very clear on what is expected and gets straight to the point on what he is looking for. Discussion board and replies are due at the end of each week and the Essay is extremely reasonable. Definitely recommend taking his class!!!!
Professor Wooley's class is pretty much all lectures that feed into two tests per semester. The tests aren't comprehensive, so as long as you take good notes and study them it's an easy pass. His lectures are definitely easy to listen to and understand as well.
One of the best professor I have taken! Very easy class, all you have to do is submit your work for a completion grade, and you will get an A. There was a discussion board post due every week, which was very easy. There was one essay, but as long as you submitted it, it was an automatic A. I highly recommend taking this class for an easy A.
Just take the class.
Best history class ever. Has 13 discussion boards and one 1-3 page essay. Thats it. Awesome professor.
Excellent Professor!!!!
Professor Wooley was a outstanding History teacher. If you respect him he will respect you. He cares about all of his students and wants you to pass. My favorite part about Professor Wooley class was the atmosphere in the classroom it was always fun going to his class. He goes into a lot of detail about History and it makes easier to understand it.
Grade based on 4 exams with no extra credit, no late work accepted. Class is strictly lectures, but he makes it very interesting and fun. Exams are easy if you come to class and study good notes. Attendance is not a big deal, but his exams are very close to his lectures so attend every class. No book needed. I highly recommend this professor!
Took this class for the 2020 Maymester and it was perfect! Very manageable and self paced. Weekly DP of 500 words and 2 100 word responses. 13 total. 1st half open on day 1 and the 2nd half open week 2. This class is a must if you need HIST 1302. Knock out an entire semester in 2 weeks. No book needed, he gives you links to the online book for free
This is the easiest college class I have EVER taken. There are only 12 discussion boards and one paper at the end of the semester. That's it! (This was an online class). If you want to dive deep in history, read the textbook closely, you won't be getting the info elsewhere. If you are looking for an easy A with minimal time put in, this is it.
I loved the way this class was laid out! He has you do discussion boards and respond to classmates. So, you have to read, but it is interesting and his gentle reminders were super helpful. Great professor!!!
Pro Wooley is an amazing professor, I took him in summer class. His class was so easy . Every week you have three to four discussion boards that's need to be summarized and reply to two of your class mate 100 word per each. Since you done that you will receive full credit and no Exams!! An easy A
Really easy and supportive and interesting, take em he real good fr fr
Took this class in summer II, we had 3-4 discussion boards each week and only had to write 300 words on the prompt and comment on 2 classmates' posts. Easiest 100 I have ever gotten.
I took his 5-week class for Summer II. The class was only based on discussion boards/responses. We had 13 in total and each one required a 300-word post and two 100-word responses. Overall it was very straight-forward and simple! Obviously taking a 5-week meant a lot of assignments, but would have been simple in a full semester. Got 100%!
professor wooley knows how to engage in his lectures, he doesn't make them boring at all considering that his class is only lecture. he gives no homework, he only uses exams to determine your grade. exams are easy as long as you study the notes from lecture. Overall, one of my favorite professors I've taken
Easy Class! Great professor. You just need to completely1-2 DB per week. Took this class online.
Love how chill and this course is. All DBs, dont be intimidated by so much writing its laid back. Youll actually learn things this way to. I feel like he grades solely based of your efforts and participation! Must take this online class! Easy A if you do the work!
13 Discussion Boards. 300 Words each. Best professor you will ever find.
So I took his online class because of covid, and I really can't complain. No test/exams/quizzes. He gave 2 discussion boards for the first few weeks, then it was a discussion board every 1-2 weeks. I am a dual cred student so this was pretty awesome, considering that was all there was to it. The DBs were 300-400 words and respond to 2 classmates.
The class is okay and it is an easy A. Maybe i would have love this class if i had taken it in a 5weeks semester. This is too short for me and I am kind of slow when it comes to paper writing. The class is perfectly okay just that it is not my kind of class due to the short week involve and the kind of assignments
Took his class during the winter semester. Included 13 discussion boards that are a minimum of 300 words and you respond to 2 classmates with a 100 word minimum. Super easy as long as you do the work. Would definitely recommend and take him again for another class!
Probably the best and easiest professor I've ever had!! Due to COVID we were stuck with online classes and he wasn't hard on his students. All you need to do is read the chapter (and even that you don't have to read you can use outside sources just cite them) and do the discussions! Best part is no final exams, just discussions. Easy A.
The best and easiest professor ever!! The only assignments are discussion boards, just make sure to read the provided articles and chapters and participate in the discussion boards and you get an easy A! Take him, this class will pass by like a breeze!
Easy A
The class consisted of chapter readings & additional sources, a discussion board post at least 300 words long answering the questions posed, and two replies to others' posts. There was a lot of opinion based discussion and the professor posed questions that made it easy to write responses too. Grades on time and responds to questions quickly!
His classes fill up quickly for a reason. Only 12 discussion boards, 300 words with a (2) 100 response to classmates. Besides comments on your DB, he never really reached out to us, but if you're looking for an Easy A, it's not a big deal. Want a personal proffesor? Take someone else. Did I learn anything? No. But was this the easiest A ever? YES.
I loved this class. Prof Wooley was more of a facilitator, assigning reading material and asking us to write on a thought-provoking question to a message board. I thought I understood how some of the major parts of our history had happened, but I learned how little I really knew. Great class. No tests/quizzes.
Take notes in his class, no homework, but the tests matter. Teaches you stuff you don't learn in high school and obviously cares about his students. Very funny and talks about history in a way where you will remember. Multiple choice tests, and sometimes gives extra credit in class activities. Also usually lets you out of class early! Loved Wooley!
Take his class you won't regret it! I took his Summer 1 course which had 13 - 300 word discussion boards, 2 - 100 word replies, and NO FINAL. Super simple because you always have a topic to write about. Professor Wooley is clear on his instructions, not nit-picky, and is a great professor!! My only regret was not taking his 1301 English course!
Taking Prof. Wooley 1302 happened to be rewarding. I left his class with knowledge. Textbook online, which was a great source. You will read lots, but it's all great info. His online class is structured, and he gives feedback. Due dates are fair, just pace yourself and you should be okay. Take Professor Harding! Fun course, as History should be.
Taking his summer class was such a great decision. Most of the assignments are discussion and he always gives reasonable deadlines. He responds and answers questions anytime you need him. 10/10 definitely would recommend!
Easiest class ever it was only discussion boards. Professor was chill, definitely take him.
Easy class. Take this professor! I took his wintermester class, which consisted of 4 300-word discussion boards each week (12 total) with 2 100-word responses on each. Such a lenient grader, do the work and you will honestly get a 100.
I took him for World History one semester and HAD to take him for American History the next just because he was that great of a teacher. He's very interactive and straightforward. No book so its all lecture, and his exams are word per word from what he says in class so take good notes. Easy A
Wooley is the best history teacher I've taken. The work load is MINIMAL, but that's not even why he's awesome. Online, it's all discussion boards, but he asks about things that matter, things that a lot of other professors don't talk about. Read what he gives you, do your boards, learn something cool. Easy A.
Very easy A. The whole class is 13 discussion boards and if you participate you get a 100. Definitely take this professor.
There is a reason his classes fill up quickly. Class consisted of 13 discussion boards that take an hour to do, tops. Easy class, but still interesting.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! take him if you get the chance. all assignments were discussion posts and its one DB per week. no finals, tests, quizzes, just discussion posts.
This course is the easiest A possible. Professor Wooley grades very easily and all the assignments are discussion boards. No tests or quizzes! The grading criteria for the discussions is clear and simple. Minimum 300 words, reply to 2 classmates, and site your sources! His classes fill quickly, so register before the spots fill up, seriously!
There is one discussion board due every week that took me no more than one hour. He is an easy grader. No quizzes or tests or anything! Probably the easiest class I've taken at TCC. He is caring and very nice!
I am horrible at history, this was the easiest history class I've taken in my life! It's only discussion boards, mostly talking about your opinions. No tests, no projects. He is not a tough grader at all. I would take him again, and I recommend him for any history class!
Took him for Maymester and it was the easiest class in the world. Class is only 13 discussion boards, nothing else. Each one took ~30 mins max and they're basically all completion grades since they're mostly opinion-constructed based off of articles/openstax readings he assigns for that topic. Responds quickly to emails too and is super nice.
Good Professor who gave relevant information. Be ready to pay attention and take plenty of notes. Participation is heavily encouraged.
I LOVE MR.WOOLEY. He made history very interesting for me that I took him for 2 courses. He grades by what he says, its history learn it. no powerpoints so you study your own notes. Literally not hard at all. He randomly asks questions for extra credit. ex: learn judges names, learn how many.
Class is only DB, simple and easy to understand and gives plenty of time to complete. Highly recommend.
Literally take this professor!! BEST BEST PROFESSOR SOOOOOOOOOO LAID BACK EASY WORK LIGHT WORK ALL DISCUSSION BOARDS NO FINAL!! class consists of literally only 13 DBs that are out of 20 or 25. So easy Nice cooperating professor! and DEFINITELY LIGHT GRADER.
I took Professor Wooley for US History I & II because he was THAT amazing! You take LOTS of notes, but his lectures are interesting! Just make sure you study your notes because much of it will be in the tests. Also, he basically gives away extra credit and doesn't assign homework. So, if you have the chance to take him, please do! :)
The assignments were clear just read the readings and do research to be able to answer your discussion board questions. Overall it was pretty easy and only assignments were dBs.
Great!
AMAZING class. I took his class as a wintermester class and it was a blast. I learned so much in such a short time. Literally all of the assignments are discussion boards that are super easy. I always ended up going way over the word minimum because it was so easy to write about what we learned. If he was available I would take him for any class.
did this class online in may. highly rec prof wooley. clear expectations and grading. tests purely derived from textbook.
Amazing professor. I took the wintermester. All the assignments were discussion boards. I learned so much and the discussions were so easy. Take his class.
Loved this class! Very lecture heavy with nothing posted online so make sure you're always there. 4 tests total and no assignments. If you write good notes, you'll do great.
Professor Wooley is great. He makes history fun. There are no slides in class or canvas. You will have to write or type your notes while he is lecturing, I recorded his lectures and played them back when studying for the exams.
If you're looking for an easy A, I highly suggest this professor. Not only is he an easy grader, but his assignments are really straightforward and easy to complete and comprehend. There are no exams, simply discussion posts and two comments. You can't fail this class as long as you keep up with the discussion posts you are fine.
This course is all discussion boards! No final exam or general exams. If you have a lot of heavy courses for the semester Professor W is a must!
Great professor, I highly recommend taking this class.
Professor W's class is an easy A. The assignments are mainly discussion boards, no exams. Unstuckstudy was a great study tool alongside the course materials.
Prof. Wooley, Lectures his class no text require. Be ready to write lots of notes.
I love history and I love this professor. I took his online course which consisted of discussion boards only.. due every Sunday. They're fun and super easy. No textbook required, he provides links and small readings. Taking him again for world history 2 in the winter. Highly recommend!!
Recording his lectures helped me with my notes. Professor Wooley is great, funny, and loves his job.
Only thing due are discussion boards. No quizzes, exams, essays. Just discussion boards. I got behind several times in the class. He didn't deduct points for late work. As long as you reach the word limit required and reply to 2 classmates on each DB, you will make a 100 on all of them. It was online but he seems like a chill guy and easy.
Professor Chad class was awesome! Took Fall Semester and assignments included 12 Discussion Boards 300 Words plus reply to 2 students 100 words each. Very Easy class I'm taking him again for HIST-1302! Ended the semester with a 100!
He's a walking W, and he is super nice. If you actually read the textbook and use his notes you'll understand the material well. But you don't have to read the textbook to get an A because he allows you to use outside sources, you just have to cite them.
Professor Wooley is the best professor I've ever had. He's engaging and makes the data memorable and interesting. To do well, you need to attend class. We had four exams and classes are lecture heavy but very interesting. Be on time and ready to take notes. I could not recommend him more.
Professor Wooley was the best professor. He doesn't have any textbook material so be sure to make it to class, or get notes. Your grades are based on 4 tests. The tests are all multiple-choice and easy. He even lets you record the lectures if you aren't good at taking notes. He is hilarious and finds ways to keep everyone engaged in the lecture.
Professor Wooley's class was a easy A. I took him for 1302 aswell. The whole semester only had four exams. These exams covered alot of material, but once you take the exam you wont have to worry about the material anymore. If you read through your notes carefully before each test, you should have no problems.
Chad Wooley was super understanding! Super easy and fun class, even online.
Loved coming to lectures even if they aren't mandatory to pass the class I greatly appreciated all the lectures and the test review days were extremely helpful. Review your notes and you are sure to pass
Mr. Wooley was an amazing professor! Took him for history for Hist 1 and 2, and passed both easily, just as long as you attend his class, the exams should be easy. His lectures are hilarious and he is immersive with classmates.
This class was super easy and it was only Canvas discussion boards (1-2 a week).
Great professor, no homework, no quizzes. He has exams at the end of each unit, but you should have a B or Higher as long as you take good notes and are there at least every day, you should be fine.
this class was super easy
I took Professor Wooley Summer Class History 1301 for this year 2025. Very straight forward and what I appreciate the most if you email him he responds. This was an easy class all you have to do is stay on top of your deadline and make sure your discussions are 300 words or more.
LOVED MR. WOOLEY hes is so easy. whole class is just discussion boards and replying to each other. Taking again for History 2 Easy A if you just take the time to do the DB and write to your classmates.
Excellent course! It consisted solely of reading and discussion boards, which were easy to manage and allowed for high grades..
He is such a great professor, one of the best I've had! He gives great lectures that keep you hooked.
Very great professor, will be taking him again next year, no quizzes or assignments because you're graded on 4 exams, very easy to pass. i recommend you record his lectures because his content review is kind of sporadic, he's extremely friendly and interacts with the class. but does not allow test retakes, or extra credit.
I really enjoyed Mr.Wooleys class I like the way he teaches and how he makes it understandable and very able to comprehend the topic being taught. He is a very nice person and I like how he is interactive during class and right on the board so we don't get lost.
This is the easiest class i have ever taken and its definitely a free A. He teaches classes with actual passion and he makes tests pretty easy if you take notes and pay attention. Definitely take this class if you get the opportunity you will NOT regret it.
Best professor I have had. Professor Wooley has the best history lectures; he is really funny and caring. The key to passing is to attend class and be ready to take notes.
An easy course you could take for an online class. Weekly assignments consisted of reading and 1 discussion. A couple of times, there were two discussions due, but it was manageable. I learned a great deal from the textbook units and the additional reading materials provided by the professor. Highly recommend! You won't regret it!
