One of the coolest classes. He is knowledgeable on what he is teaching with lots of experience and really knows his stuff. His assignments are worth it, fun, and make you learn in a good way. At first with his no phones, don't be late, attendance policy it might alarm you but with assignments, emergencies, etc he will truly work with you!
Dr. Chandler Bridges is very helpful and will take time to help you if you reach out. I would recommend his classes to someone who is ready to work and not afraid to put in the time and effort.
All around great instructor, would take him again and again. Class takes getting used to but once you catch the flow, everything falls in to place.
Dr. Bridges is my favorite professor he gives amazing and detailed feedback to help improve your work I recommend anyone who is an entertainment major to take his class.
Dr. Bridges wants his students to succeed and cares about them inside and outside of the classroom. Participation and attendance is required because most of our assignments are due in class. He shows us how to use Pro Tools in class and shows us easy short cuts.
Bridges cares about his students and wants them to pass, but he won't make exceptions. If you have a zero on any assignment, you will fail, and missing class is guaranteed failure.
I highly recommend Dr. Chandler. He is such an eay teacher to talk to about anything. All of his test and quizzes are online, which gives you benefits. I highly recommend taking his class, just make sure you show up ontime to his class or your grade will drop significantly.
He is very passionate about the subject matter of this class. He will go out of his way to help you, is excited to teach and for you to learn, and cares about what you are doing to improve yourself both in and out of the classroom.
Pretty solid professor
Dr. Bridges ENT 299 class, is pretty enjoyable for the most part. He definitely loves the students and cares about their success. He has a very strict no cell phone rule, and really hates when students talk in class. He gives a lot of assignments and explains how to do them super fast, which can be challenging. But he is always willing to help.
This professor really understands the course and what it takes to make it in the career field he teaches in. He is one of my best professors I have chosen while on this campus and I have been here for 3 years. All you have to do is show up, do the work and you can easily make an A. A great teacher, I have four classes next semester and he's 3/4.
He's a great professor. The course is work heavy, but much of the work is enjoyable, and with this instructor there is no such thing as an "academic emergency", because he is flexible and understanding.
He is a great professor. He cares about students and their lives.
Dr. Bridges is an amazing professor that allows students to express themselves in a free manner and respects students as they move along an amazing college experience. Rate: 20/10
Chandler has been a great asset to the University of North Alabamas Entertainment Industry department. His assignments challenge the students to better themselves and develop them for the professional environment. He is a wealth of knowledge and is incredibly willing to share that knowledge for the success of his students. You must take his class!!
Dude is a straight up G bruh. Like I was up in the class and dude was teachin and I was like, this dude legit. Dude always got your back like when you forget stuff. Like you're gonna have to do the work but he ain't gonna let just not do an assignment. Really cool dude, really cool class.
He is very knowledgeable and informative. He does give a lot of worth but it is definitely worth it, especially when he makes his class fun at the same time. I highly recommend students to take his class. For anybody who does take his class I advise you to show up to class every time and ON TIME.
Honestly one the best classes I've taken while at UNA. The lessons given in class are on par with real life studio work in the entertainment industry. Even if you don't want to be a studio engineer, the recording techniques and (if you listen enough) life lessons learned in this class will leave you feeling prepared and humbled.
Dr. Bridges is an excellent professor. He clearly cares about the success of his students and will gladly assist students out of class when requested. He assigns a lot of work, but it is often very fun to do, even if challenging. I would definitely recommend his class to you.
Dr. Chandler Bridges has been a major asset to the Entertainment Industry Department at the University Of North Alabama. Upon his arrival in the Fall of 2017, this is the most Ive learned in my three years of being a student in the program!
Dr. Bridges is great. He really prepares you for life after college. He assigns a lot of work, but none of it is busy work. I've gained knowledge from every assignment he's given us. He is particular about grading. The assignments can be challenging. He can ramble on in lecture, but every story he tells has value. Take one of his classes!!!
Dr. Bridges is a great professor. He has an impressive history in the music industry, and he is really passionate about the material he teaches. Get ready to work though. Managing the amount of assigns can be tough, but he is willing to help anyway possible. He also cares about getting to know his students too.
Great class! You can tell teacher cares about the class, so if you care about the subject it's a great class. Teaches a little heavy with life lessons and can ramble on a bit, but all in all worth it.
You learn great stuff in this class, teacher cares about the class so it is fun! If you like nerdy sound stuff this is your class. Lots of group projects if you hate those it can be a little heavy but not too bad.
Dr. Bridges is one of the best teachers I've had while I've been at UNA. He teaches some great tips and tricks he picked up during his time out in the entertainment industry and is also very hands on which is perfect for me. There is definitely a lot of work and you will be expected to be high functioning but it is all applicable and not busy work.
He is very knowledgeable.
He is skilled and great at what he does. You just need to make sure you are on top of turning in assignments.
Very informative but a lot of work
All around great teacher. You will leave this class with an extensive knowledge of the topics at hand.
Great teacher but you must apply yourself, you will learn a lot. Great guy
A tough teacher but if you show up and participate you will do fine.
He's a great teacher and you'll learn a lot . Show up and be on time!
Very good Professor would recommend.
A great teacher who teaches in his own way, he is always available to help whether it be work or creation of music. If you haven't worked with a MAC computer keep asking questions and take good notes.
He is skilled at what he does. Make sure you attend class so you will not be left out or get points taken off. Be ready to be tested and put your mind to work!
The course itself might be easier without major time commitments (time needed to work on assignments after the class as you need to access the school's web servers.)
Make sure you attend class or else you'll lose points. Do Not let him see your phone or else those are more points lost. There are no exams but there are multiple quizzes out of the textbook. If you don't turn everything in you will fail the class.
Very helpful.
Follow the rules and do your homework and you'll be fine.
Bridges is super easy!! The only thing is show up to class because he counts off every day you miss, but his classes are super fun, so you never want to miss. You have to submit EVERY assignment & can't just skip them & get a zero or you fail the class, but he lets you turn in assignments late no matter what. Very helpful, and funny!
Awesome guy, understands workload of college student and lets you turn in late. As long as you show effort you're good.
Dr. Chandler Bridges is an amazing professor. Be ready to work a lot but he's careful to go easy on the work in times when other classes usually have major assignments such as midterms. The guy knows his craft and is very accomplished. Despite the heavy workload, this was the most fun class I've had.
Dr. B is the best. He will take time outside of class and office hours to help his students. Yes there is a heavy work load but look- if you're coming to UNA to learn audio recording, ENT 425 is the reason you're here, so take it seriously and you'll get out what you put in. Cannot recommend him enough. He will also help you with networking.
If you want to work in the industry, this class is a great stepping stone for you to learn about various careers.
Strict with his rules but caring and very easy to work with.
He is a great prof. He knows what he is teaching. His class is not boring and you learn so much that you thought you knew. Would highly recommend.
Great professor!, Although he does assign a lot of work, it's mandatory for the course.
is great
Pretty cool over all, very wise on the subjects taught.
I really enjoyed the class!
Great professor, with en even better learning experience!
Dr. Bridges is an excellent professor. Although he is tough and makes you work for your grade, he makes sure that each student learns the material and is ready for their career path (especially since the ENT field is pretty demanding). He moves fast, so pay close attention to Canvas. But overall, the class is fun and I highly recommend it & Bridges
Attendance is required and if you miss more than 4 days you have to drop the class. If you are caught on your phone you will lose points. Overall this class is entertaining and a fun class.
Overall decent class.
overall good class..
good guy
great class
He is a great teacher, but teaches VERY fast
Great professor. There is homework but it is not very hard or overwhelming. Attendance is mandatory but it's a class I would not want to miss.
he good
He gives a lot of work, but there's a lot of opportunity to be creative and have fun with the assignments. DON'T have your phone in class, though.
Great class and very informative, even if your not an entertainment major. Take this class if you are an Art or Film major too.
Really good teacher. Yes you need to go to class but if you're having issues you can talk to him. He is really compassionate and understanding of different people's situations. The lectures are never boring, although I am highly interested in entertainment technology so I may be biased in that respect. Lots of fun and interesting lab work.
Dr. Bridges is probably the most knowledgable professor in his given department at the University of North Alabama. He does care about his students and will make you work diligently because of that. Having a professor who is not to far removed from the industry is not a bad thing as well!
Fast pace and strict attendance policy.
Group Work. Great teacher overall
I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot about things I would not normally take the time to learn. You learn how to make songs, make movies, websites, etc. Very fun, informational, and modern - it's a great course to take.
Enjoyed the class
Very good Professor!!
Gives lots of assignment but is very knowledgable and will teach you lots of really cool skills with pro tools
Very good professor. Goes into depth when discussing a topic. KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT/DOING!!
This guy is awesome! He is very knowledgeable about his profession and likes to share his knowledge with students. He has won a few Grammys by working with Rihanna and other pop singers. He is very strict with attendance and cell phones in class. Skipping one class results in 10 points off your final grade.
I really enjoyed being in Dr. Bridges class for ENT 425. I learned so much about ProTools and he gives tremendous feedback on your progress in class. Be prepared, participate, and you should be good for this class.
Dr. Bridges is a fantastic teacher and he has taught me nearly everything I currently know about audio engineering. I've had a lot of hands-on experience in a professional recording studio this past semester in his class.
Dr. Bridges is an amazing professor!! There is nothing negative I can say about him besides a lot of work but, the homework is worth it in the end and he gives extra credit opportunities which shows he really cares about getting our grades up. He is very knowledgeable and is actually a person that wants to see you win instead of fail.
I knew basically nothing when entering this class, but I have learned so much. The class is very hands-on. We spend a lot of time in the studio and take the occasional field trip. Dr. Bridges is always eager to help students in any way possible, and he teaches a lot of valuable life lessons as well. The class is hard work, but it's worth it.
Dr. Bridges is extremely lenient while also being very strict on certain things. Every class you miss takes off points from your final grade and so does cell phone use or distractions caused by one. However, he will always provide extra credit assignments and his class is very fun and informative.
Chandler is a swell, prompt to do it man, whose intent is clear. His concern for your grades and making an A is indifferent, however he requires your knowledge of the subject matter. He wants you to succeed while carrying a professional, respectful demeanor. I consider him a father figure in all honesty, one who wants every student to perform well.
Dr. Bridges is an excellent instructor. He is knowledgable, respectful, and engaging. He also has a Grammy. That can't hurt!
Dr. Bridges is a great teacher, he really knows what he is talking about. He has plenty of experience in the industry and wants to help his students be successful in any way that he can.
He's an amazing teacher, if you come to class and work he will give you the grade. He is very caring of his students. He will help you if you need it, just ask and be respectful and he will be the same in return.
He knows what he is talking about. Gives a lot of work, but grades easily.
He's a great professor and knows exactly what he is doing and what he is teaching! Teaches the material well, and gives you opportunities for extra credit on your final grade.
He is a great dude, a little strict about certain things but so cool.
This guy is the bomb. He has a passion for making sure students are prepared for their industry, and I love his consistent use of the idea of "knowledge transfers".
Dr. Bridges is a super cool guy with a lot of knowledge. There is a bit of work to do, but I think it is worth it!
Dr. Bridges is one of those professors that you'll never forget. He is an excellent instructor that genuinely loves to teach his students, and he's highly knowledgeable in his profession. You'll probably feel like you're drowning in assignments for the first 8 weeks of class, but if you fall behind he's very understanding if you reach out to him.
Its lots of homework and he's a hard professor but he's cool
Dr. Bridges class is a lot of work, but his classes are great. Dont miss his class, hes super strict about attendance.
A lot of homework but works with you as much as he can.
This class is a GREAT introduction to jobs dealing with audio in music(and film). From lectures, quizzes, and group projects; Dr. Bridges shares his many years of knowledge in the short time we have. The class WILL use Pro-Tools quite a bit and it can be a headache at times to learn Dr. Bridges pushes your creativeness everyday. Very Cool guy(VERY)
A very good guy, always helpful and attentive to students needs and willing to help no matter what the question asked.
Overall, great teacher who understand his students
Great teacher and an even better guy. Dr. Bridges cares about his students and their success inside, and outside, of the classroom. I highly recommend Channy B for any Entertainment Industries class you can get.
When I changed my major to Ent. Industry, I hoped to have a professor who had experience in the industry and could be viewed as a contemporary. Chandler Bridges is that professor. He's witty, funny, and knowledgeable. His attendance policies are strict, but he is understanding. He teaches by example. As a result, you WILL learn a lot.
Dr. Chandler's class is very hands-on after the first week or two. I learned a lot so far and want to continue to learn more. Advice is don't be late or absent and make sure you have everything turned in by the end of the semester, even if it's late.
Dr. Bridges is a really great professor. He knows what he is talking about and will help you to be prepared for the industry
He really knows what he is talking about. Don't procrastinate and you will be fine
Takes points off your final grade for missing class, being late to class, or using your phone in class. You just have to be disciplined. He's a very flexible and understanding teacher.
Great professor and extremely knowledgeable in the field. Very intensive class though. You have to stay focused and keep up, but he'll help you out if you ask. Overall, it's a great class. Just never miss. -10 points off your final grade. ^
Awesome professor who wants us all to succeed in the industry.
He's upfront on the first day of class about what he whats out of each student, as long as you follow his few simple rules you are set.
Chandler Bridges is one of the leading professors of the entertainment department and one of the best professors I've ever had in my humble opinion. While he is most certainly a difficult professor, he cares for his students to the point where he will make sure you get the information you want, you just have to work for it yourself.
Easily the best teacher in the department(seriously). Dr. Bridges drives a hard line but is very willing to help and is very understanding. His experience in the industry is priceless and gives so much insight for students. There is a healthy balance of projects and tests. Lastly, don't be late and don't miss class. Leave your phone in the car!
Dr. B is a guy that knows his stuff, he is genuine in his work and you can see that he wants his students to succeed. He is only tough because he knows the industry will not give you a slap on the wrist just because you "forget" or give excuses to why you cannot be on-time. I definitely recommend taking him.
I have taken Dr. Bridges for multiple classes now, and I think he is a wonderful professor! He is very caring towards all of his students. There is a lot of assignments, and group projects. BUT all assignments help you understand the content being taught on a better; hands on level.
Overall he really is a great professor!
Dr. Bridges is probably one of the smartest people I have ever met. His knowledge knows no bounds. He is also an awesome, approachable and friendly person. If you want to take this class, get ready for the workload. Most assignments are easy, they just take up a lot of time, so stay on top of them! Attend all classes and do the extra credit!
Probably my favorite professor so far
This is a very amazing class! Make sure you don't miss a class though because it's new things EVERY class and turn it In ON TIME. Other than that he's a very great teacher, very inspirational and has a great sense of humor! and I took this class twice !
Dr. Bridges's class is amazing! He always cares about his students, and he is really helpful. He gives a lot of assignments but if you do the work, you will do alright! Anyone taking this class, I recommend you to take Dr. Bridges.
Chandler has been the best professor I've had while in college. Were the classes hard? Yes. Will you be stressed? most definitely. But I don't think any class has prepared me for the real world as much as this one has; therefore I must insist you take at least one class with Dr. Bridges if you want to learn anything about audio engineering.
great class and better teacher
We were given a little more work than what the average class might have, but none of the assignments were overtly tough or difficult, and none of it was busy work. Dr. Bridges is very accessible outside of class, and posts all of our assignments online, as opposed to professors that do not use canvas for our class work.
Very good professor. Always looked forward to attending his class. He offers a lot of extra credit and is very willing to help with any homework, projects, or even let work.
Great to learn from someone so experienced in the entertainment field.
Dr. Bridges is extremely knowledgable in his respected field and is a great professor to listen to carefully. Very straight up with his students and tells it like it is. His class rules can be a bit intimidating, but as long as your honest and communicate with him you will have no issues. Do not take this class expecting an easy A tho.
