-Easy to handle teacher. Not very good teaching skills... You have to get used to his accent.
All he does is power point and reads off of them, makes you fall asleep, not at all interesting.....

Don't take him!!!HCC doesn't know how to put names on the schedule at a decent time before school starts,so I was stuck.Gives reviews,but says "I'm not giving answers".Gives RANDOM MAJOR PAPERS(5pg.).Bad teaching style,Super boring.You don't have to attend b/c it's basically self taught.Study powerpoints AND book to pass.Random,unnecessary work.BAD
He is a very nice man who is extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain things, but his class is very dry and straight from the PowerPoint's.
Took his online course and was kinda confused. Wasnt much structure, just random 5-6 pg papers. Literally only had one paper graded before drop date. so great class if you love papers and not much else.
I would suggest him as a teacher if you have a good understanding of Biology and you don't mind teaching yourself. I am a self paced learner so he was perfect for me.
All he does is power points. Yes it is boring but just suck it up and you will get a good grade. He gives no homework. He does give papers which are OPTIONAL! He uses that to boost your quiz grades. Its to help you!! So I did it. Tests are hard, everybody fails but grades on a curve. 80 is considered an A. Just talk to him be nice and show up!
with all honesty, Dr. Mittal was a bit hard. you have to attend classes in order to pass! he uses power point a lot but he does tell you to read your book as well. he gives reviews at least 1 wk in advanced he gives extra credit summaries to help boost your grade...do your lab book as well. i like him, can't expect a free ride, just study
This is a no brainer of a class to take. Biology is a hard subject, and he understands that. Espically for an introductory class, if this teacher is open take him seriously he gives reviews for all his exams 2 of his exams were open book and 1 was take home if you fail this class it was simply cause you didnt put any effort easy A.
Dr. Mitral makes his class very easy to pass. Take home quizzes and reviews for all the tests. If you complete your lab book fully, you got an A. He's such a sweet professor. Would take him for A&P but that campus is too far. I would recommend.
This professor really worked with me although I got a D I was thankful it wasn't an F. This subject was hard for me because he is sometimes hard to understand and the power point presentations were a bit boring. The in class test were hard the take home test were easy of course which he gave 2 of those. Study study read read and you should get a C
All test are open book except the Departmental final and the test 5. He provides a review for all test which pretty much mirrors the test so please completed the reviews. Provided one test to take home and the lab book grades will count as the quiz grades so do well on them. Gave an opportunity of extra credit as well which was 50 extra points.
Most of his test are open book (#4) except the comprehensive(#5) & the Departmental final the but be aware this doesn't mean they are an easy A, you have to read the book and reviews "thoroughly" not between lines or you will fail. he gives you take-home quizzes & gives you extra credit for participation. he will provide reviews for (#4) tests.
great teacher, explains everything, gives reviews that will easily get you an A on the exam if you put in the time to study it. four exams, 2 quizes and one paper.
I truly enjoyed this class though I am NOT a huge fan of Science in any form. Dr. Mittal makes this course interesting and bearable. He does give a bit of extra credit & a few good laughs as well. Take him for any Biology course. You won't regret it!
he gives reviews to all of his test and if you study the reviews you will pass the test. He only played us once when the review was unsimilar to the test. We had to also write a 1 page essay. And all the quizes are take home. 5 test 3 quizes and 1 paper basically.
I took Dr. Mittal for BIOL 1406, I loved this course!! Plenty of extra credit, he helps you if you try. Understanding of life situations, allows make-up exams. Do yourself a favor and signup already.

He is the BEST. His lectures are just off of power point and we have 4 Exams and 1 comprehensive exam which he provides reviews for. I promise if you study the review you pass the test. 3 take home quizzes. And 5 page essay due at the end of the semester.

Take him. BIOLOGY is self tought through studying! He provides a clear grading crateria and gives excellent reviews for his test. It is your responsibility to study material and review to pass
I just respect Dr. Mittal for the way he treats and cares about his students. what an amazing job.. thank you very much Sir!!! time goes so quick when you take his class.. an easy going person that willing to work with everyone to succeed. Take him and have fun!!
Dr. Mittal was great! I wish I had found him when I was taking BIOL 1406. His lectures are based on the powerpoints. There were a lot of grades so it was a better chance of a good grade, assignments were not difficult at all and nearly no homework! The book is not really needed.
Awesome professor, grades on a curve. If you apply yourself, you will pass.
He's the best! Honestly, he likes being listened to and see you attentive. He does assign like two papers but its not that bad as long as you get it done because it is a major grade. But he is so caring, if he sees you trying and attending class he will take it into consideration. One of the sweetest prof. You will learn something.
He teaches until the last minutes and he do not let students leave early even on the test day. He usually don't answer emails. Four tests, four quizzes, 2 papers, 4 test reviews, and all powerpoints are online. He tends to pick on people and treat them as they are stupid because he ask random questions that are not relevant to the lecture.
Such an inspirational professor his lecture are so funny. No books needed if you study his reviews that's a guarantee "A." I wish he taught more than just biol. Lucky to have him as a professor 4 Exams, 2 Essay 1 count as extra credit, Quiz that will help prepare you for the exam. Going through any situation just talk to him he's very understanding
OMG best professor award goes to him! He cares about all his student and want them to succeed. A&P2 is a hard subject but he make his lec so FUN, interesting, and EASY! 4 exams study his reviews and you will make an "A" there's 2 essays but he counts 1 as extra credit and its not even long. He's so sweet, knowledgeable, and understanding. THE BEST!
Exams were cool and he helped us study for them. What he taught and the final that was given to us by the department were two different things. It was a slap in the face for sure and I know that most people were lucky to make a "C" on the final. He's cool but I would be prepared to learn a lot on your own if you're looking to make that A.
Lectures are boring but lab was fun. If you want a class where you just sit and listen then take a exam go for it. Studying is required to cover material skip during lectures. He keep you the whole class.
Probably one of the worst online professor I've had. I didn't even feel like he taught the course. You had to figure things out yourself. He barely responded to emails. There are no deadlines for homeworks or quizzes. He gave out the wrong first exam so I spent time taking an exam that didn't even count for a grade.
I took Dr. Mittal for my APII lab in the spring. I made an easy A. The grade consists of filling out your lab manual, and 3 exams. I think each one was less than 20 questions, which had you move from station to station to identify the structure. Nice guy too.
I took this class online and it was really easy! Theres quizzes every week but their all easy af. Honestly its one of the easiest class Ive ever took online. The only thing that I didnt like was you have to go in to take the final. But I passed the class.
This is a very nice professor , You work from the workbook and 3 exams but study very well. He also gives extra credit to his students. Take his class you wont regret it!
Dr. Mittal is a Great professor but from what I hear only in lecture, NOT lab. he might have a noble prize but he is a terrible teacher in the lab courses. very vague syllabus and test material. he doesn't teach you anything in the lab and you do all the work by your self. he does not give reviews unless you make him by forcing him(team effort).
If you are taking your Lab with him think again before you jeopardize your grade. As a person, he is very knowledgeable and kind, however a terrible teacher. very confusing testing plan, unclear study material. you have to negotiate with him for the stuff he is going to test you on. he doesn't teach anything in the lab at all. you're on your own.
Horrible online instructor. You could send a very important email to him and he will not respond. Very unorganized online stutcure. If he is the last available for this class. Do your self a favor and wait until the next semester.
Doc is knowable and knows and teaches the correct curriculum needed to be successful in order to pass his class
I took him for second-start and it was a bit fast paced, let me tell you he really does know his material and is willing to help you understand. He DOES give study guides that are almost the same as his exams. The only thing I wished was that it wasn't so fast paced but then again I took him for second start. He does offer extra credit. Take him!!
Some of the time he doesn't answer questions. Looks like he don't want to answer or he don't know. Never mind. He is helpful and gives review before test. Tests are ok to go. Just do what he says. Easy A.

This man dont give out any type of study guides when it comes to taking a test and expects remember everything for the exams. And then for the final he gave us diagrams and that didn't give us a study guide to prepare us for the final or his exams. Majority of people failed his lab class. I WILL NOT TAKE HIS CLASS EVER AGAIN.
Dr. Mittal was great he is very helpful and lets you know what parts will be on test so just make sure you pay attention and study. He also gives extra credit which helps a lot so just do it also do all your lab reports because it actually benefits you in the end when gathering your grades for final grade. Passed with a B/ Lab AP1
This professor provides study guides that are extremely helpful for exams. Homework is easy. Do the work and youll pass with an A.
I took this class the 2nd Five Weeks Summer and it was easy. The answers are on Google/Quizlet. Make SURE on log on everyday even when you've completed your assignments because you're log on time is being counted. And you can forget the professor opening up an exam again because of technical issues with Macmillan. There is no feedback on the final.
i picked because i saw a good rate on this prof but realized that those were for others and anyway he sucks. no reviews for test and expects us to reads and do it all by yourself. i hated that the teacher is no use. pick someone else good and better

Took him in 2018 fall. He is very nice, educational, and intelligent. He gives extra credit when the entire class do bad on test or just randomly. Survey gives you extra credit as well so print and turn in. Review for each test is very helpful; majority is on the test. overall, his class was good but it was looong.
If you are taking him online, just know that you will be ON YOUR OWN and the Professor does NOT provide any type of help. Purely self-taught. The only time you hear from him is when he reminds us when the next exam will be. There is NO review for exams or finals and you will have to study the textbook to be successful. In other words dont take him!
THIS PROFESSOR IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! I took him for nutrition (online class) and His exams are SO difficult. the answers are not even in the textbook. he makes these questions up on his own and the answers to them are nowhere to be found. even if you study, you'll do poorly. He offers no extra credit & never communicates with the class.
Worst professor I have took in my college years. He does not communicate with you, I send him so many emails, and called him he never responded or called me back. He changes the due dates for the exam and does not offer extra credit. Please do not take him a waste of money and time. I regret taking him!
Such a great professor! He makes lectures easy to understand and gives everyday examples. Test are easy and are based off the study guides he provides. Do the study guide and show up to class and you'll for sure pass. Online assignments are mandatory but they're easy. Will definitely take Doctor Mittal again.
one of the worst professors ive ever taken. not only are his exams nothing like his reviews or in the book so no matter how much you study it seems like youll get a terrible grade. his lectures are non exsistent and really are a waste of your time ive never been in a class where i learned nothing and basically taught myself do not take him
My total grade right before the finals was 89.6% (assignments +tests 90%). I thought ima pass either with and easy B even if I dont take the final or with a straight A by taking the final. However, made 75 in the final, guess what did this 10% final dropped me to? TO a DAMN C . Emailed her she said the percentage for assignments werent accurate
If you want a professor who refuses to answer emails. Won't teach you anything. Won't give extra credit. Don't answer the phone during their unusual office hours... Then take him. This class is 1,000% self-taught. The professor is always unavailable.
I took A&P I and A&P II Lab with Mittal. He is a GREAT professor. Seriously so caring and makes class as easy as possible. Both classes i got an A in and so did most people. I would definitely recommend taking him. I know he also teaches nutrition as well.
THE WORST PROFESSOR! I had him for an online class and if you want a professor that never answers your emails, gives vague instructions and resources, and responds with attitude, then here you go. His tests are extremely heavy, unrelated to the sources he gives us, and does not offer any form of extra credit. Don't take this class.
PLEASE DO NOT take this professor. He fails on grading things on time and will not present your grade until the very last day and has 0 communication. He responds to emails so vague with no explanation. He also doesnt grade certain things from syllabus, so your grade ends up hurting from it. & since he enters grades untimely you have no idea.
Please dont take him. I did end up with an A, but he for sure didnt want that. He is a tough grader & makes it difficult to pass. He is long winded about nothing! Never responds to emails, & lacks general knowledge. He is a nice person, but as far as a teacher, I would never take again. Get another teacher!
Do not take him unless you don't have a busy life. I thought he was a pretty good professor until he took almost a week to reply back to my email about making up an exam that I missed after sending him proof of document. He says he didn't say certain things to which he did and he favors students. I thought this was college? overall great lectures.

If you truly want to learn to become a medical professional- DONT. He does not respond, he does not care what grade dispute you have, he won't listen. It is also an immense amount of work. I do not know what all these "good reviews" are talking about. This man literally does not give a single care in the world about teaching you or answering your emails. Sure he has a good resume such as being a noble prize winner, but talk about being a horrible teacher sheesh. Do not take this class if you want to fail and cry everyday. Trust me.
I monitored my grade the entire time, maintained a 95% score a 62 on final and receive a D. He do not respond to emails, very short when he respond and definitely appear to be non-caring.

I took A&P II from Dr. Mittal. It has been a wonderful experience. He is kind, caring, and incredibly intelligent. His lectures are informative and funny. He gives you all of the study materials you need to pass the tests and do well in the course if you put in the effort. Even gives some extra credit opportunities. Answers emails within 24 hours.
I took this professor for AP2 and yes, it's a hard class and it's a lot of work, but it's college. He gives more than enough lectures and study materials. Shows you all the resources and gives a REVIEW and EXTRA CREDIT. He is CARING, SMART, and probably my favorite professor. I do encourage students to take him.
He was so bad. I wanted to give him a zero, but thats not possible. So I gave him a 1/5.
I suggest you take this lab with its lecture because he doesn't teach a lot. It requires a lot of self-study. He reviews and clarifies questions, so be prepared when going to class. The exams do not have diagrams, but his study guides are helpful. Organize yourself to complete the reports because half of those are due mid-semester.
I took his class online anytime and it's a huge workload, over 18 assignments due in like a week, take my word and do not take this professor he does not answer emails and is very rude.

Lazy, unsympathetic person with poor communication skills. Fails to put minimal effort by using others' content and repeating exam prompts. Expects you to do mental math. Can't view what you missed after the test. No extra credit opportunities. If you try to discuss your grades or any concerns, he responds vaguely, evasively, or not at all. AVOID!
I had a few communication problems with this professor. Took a long time to respond to emails. lectures were uninteresting and got off topic a lot. I mostly skipped lectures and taught myself throughout the course. Lots of homework will suck if you get behind. I'm in the military and he rarely wanted to work with me.
MUST READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS PROF: A LOT OF HOMEWORK!!! You have to spend a lot of time to complete it and those were so hard if you did not read the textbook. I have taken other biology courses, and like most of them, they are hard and demand a lot. But Mittal made my life almost impossible. Never responded to emails and was passive-aggressive when it came to any concerns I had. You will not have any type of social life if you take this class, especially if you have kids like me.
Everything he goes over is in the book. He would help if i had any questions. Test are not so easy but class is not supposed to be easy. If you study and go over what he teaches you will be able to pass his class.
This professor will not respond to emails, good luck.Assignments are due in bulk every 2-3 weeks with a test. Gives you lots of time to get them done however there are no retakes or extra credit. Exams are worth over 60%+ of your grade if you do bad on one its over. Only 13 chapters for whole course.
Absolutely the worst class I have ever taken. The professor is absolutely terrible. The syllabus is outdated and works for multiple classes, so it includes assignments you will not have and it is unnecessarily confusing. The content is extremely detailed and tedious. Must memorize every single table in the textbook and be able to apply it. Do not.

He's cool though, gave us extra credit for the survey at the end of the semester. finished with a 94. the course itself is hard, not the professor. Not an easy A. Lot of assignment. no exaggeration, expect about 40 assignments for his summer class. i cant imagine what its like taking him in a regular session.
Took this class online,he is a TERRIBLE online Professor. He does NOT respond back to emails, he stated in the module give him 24 hrs. He gives exams on multiple chapters at a time and the exam is word play. He includes a lot of assignments that consist of math. No extra credit & tests are done on LockDown Browser. Do NOT take class online.

super dull class, idk how come his resume is so INSPIRATIONAL, yet his class is like that! he did not teach us anything more than what a 10-year-old student learn. to be fair, exams are easy, just study his reviews and you're good. I'd take him again only because of that. there's extra credit but not that much, attendance is important.
