Cool guy. Quizes and tests are easy he basically tells you what will be on them just review the practice problems. He doesn't take off points for wrond answers is more concerned with your thought process and how you got to that answer. If you go to class everyday there is no reason why you shouldn't get and A.

I loved this class. Channa is THE BEST professor I've taken at IUP. He's amazing but you have to work for it! You have to come to class! He is also very strict on phones, if you're gonna be on it you will get a 0 for the whole course. I got 100 on two of the exams and a 81 on the other. He is a great prof!!! Also he hold study sessions before exams

Dr. Channa is the best math teacher/professor I have ever had. He teaches in a way that makes calculus more understanding. He goes out of his way to make sure we understood the material by holding review sessions before tests and was always willing to help out during office hours. As long as you put forth the effort, you will succeed in this class.

Have to go to class, if you miss more than 9 you automatically fail. If you're seen with your phone out in class you fail too. Very easy grader, curves A LOT. He uses questions from the hw for the quizzes and questions from the hw and quizzes for the tests. Good at teaching the material too and very nice.

This guy is truly the best. He may be strict about some things but it is only to ensure you succeed beyond the classroom. He will do everything he can to help you out. He made me hate IUP a little less

Hes going to seem scary at first, but hes an amazing professor and a lenient grader. I dont want to say easy grader, but on exams, as long as it appears that you know what youre trying to do, youll pass. I wouldnt have done nearly as well in calculus if I had any other prof.

He is very approachable after he warms up to the class. No question is 'stupid' he loves when students ask questions. He does have homework on the board and on paper (have a extra notebook for the HW). Attend the review sessions, and Q & A days he may host in the classroom. Recommendation: buy a 'Blue Book' at the Co-op store (for exams) are cheap.

Dr. Channa is a nice man. Sometimes I struggle to stay awake in his lectures but he is very helpful if you have a question. He has a very, very strict phone policy, so if you can't put your phone away for an hour, he will fail you (no joke). Homework is in larger sections and tests are 76% of your grade, so if you fail those, you'll fail the class.

While Dr. Channa is patient and loves it when students ask questions, his thick Indian accent makes it difficult to understand what he is saying.

Hes a great professor overall. Yes the accent is hard to understand at times but its bearable. He does go a little quick but will never hesitate to review if asked or answer ANY questions! Cares about his students. Do have to admit that I would probably be struggling in calc if I hadnt taken it in highschool, mostly me just not paying attention tho

I'm not very good at math, so when Dr. Channa was able to get me to understand calculus, I was amazed! He is a really good teacher, and he posted all his lecture materials on D2L so you could go over them any time you wanted. He encouraged questions. Do be prepared to spend $100 on the course software. it's required for homework and testing.

Dr. Channa did a great job of simplifying the material in this class. Statistics is a class that can get messy at times, but he really made concepts a lot easier. We could use an online app called StatCrunch for all the homework and exams. Just keep up with the material, go to class for extra credit, and you should truly get an A.

If you are worried about calc, take Dr. Channa. He is a good prof and definitely simplifies the material. You can do the bare minimum and pass his class. With that being said, you must work hard to achieve the grade you want. The material is still calc and can be difficult at times. Just work hard throughout the semester and attend is office hours!

He simplified the material so that everyone could understand it. You do have to buy an online application which is moderately expensive. If you skip lectures without previous calculus knowledge you will fall behind and do badly on exams. Frequent Quizzes. Overall, great professor.

this was math 108 (the lab that compliments 107) he was helpful but not completely clear about part of assignments. he does give all week to come back to lab and complete, but some of the work wasn't even related to the 107 course so it was a bit difficult.

He's was really great, he is a little monotone but other than that he cares a lot about his students and is very will to help. He give a lot of homework but it's very useful and helps with your grade a lot. His tests are very easy as long as you study. Just go to the lectures and do your homework. If you need help just ask him 10/10 math prof.
