Dr. Freeman's class couldn't really be considered a class; it is more like an online class. In my opinion, she tries to make the class challenging and does but to the point where there is little to no explanations of the assignments and she expects you to figure it out on your own. I love English, but hate her class. I do not recommend this class!!

Dr. Freeman is a HORRIBLE professor. She never responds to emails, grades papers late if at all, and you have to teach yourself. I've gone to the president of the campus, and they will do nothing about the professor so if you do take this course, you're screwed! No one will care what you have to say, no matter the proof.. you've been warned!!!

This is I have to say the worst professor I have ever had to deal with. I took an on campus class but she teaches online more. All homework is from online and is a lot and she doesn't even teach. Expect to teach yourself and every student in my class complains to her and she could care less. Hard to determine your grade. Horrible DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

Some teachers actually care about there students. This is not the case with Mrs. Freeman. I have had a lot of great teachers but she was not one of them.

I was very dissapointed with this class. It can take her at least 48 to email you back. Some assignments were either outdated or not mentioned at all. Don't expect her to teach you, she will refer you to the text book if you are lucky. She will not bother in reading your essay if you forget to mention one of your sources. All that work go wasted.

Treats all classes like an online class and almost never showed up to class. Awful teacher.

She seemed like a professor I was really going to enjoy on day one... boy, was I horribly mistaken. It was treated like an online class- so so so many assignments and time to be hunched infront of a computer screen. I didnt sign up for an online course. I dropped that class like a hot chunk of coal.

Prof. Freeman is single handedly the worst teacher I have ever run across. She is apathetic in grading and responding. She takes points off and won't tell you why. How can you be expected to learn if you're not told what you did wrong? She forgot to grade assignments and classmates wound up with a letter grade lower than they should have received.

This professor is the worst teacher I've ever had! I'm not sure how she got her doctorate degree. I'm taking her online English class. She is SO incredibly disorganized it makes it impossible to know what is due each week. She NEVER responds back to emails and it takes her forever to grade everything. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!

This teacher is THE worst teacher I have ever had! She isn't organized,or prompt when it comes to grading, responding to emails or giving feedback plus her lectures are pointless. If you don't do the work exactly as she wants it she gives you a zero. Unfortunately you don't know what you did wrong so you are unable to fix it. Avoid if possible!

This employee of HCC is not helpful at all. She MUST be right even when she is wrong. You must follow her guidelines to a tee. If you need help she will direct you to a link on her online site for help. Unfortunately, the links did not work for the majority of my class. She of course blamed the students when HCCLive tech support blamed her.

This teacher is so horribly unorganized I would never recommend taking her classes. She is rude, unhelpful, close-minded and does not give students any constructive guidance. The few things that she did grade on time didn't clearly state what needed to be fixed or why the points were lost. She is so much worse than any teacher I have ever had!!

Wish I would have read the comment here BEFORE taking the class. Terribly stressful the entire semester, does NOT grade anything until THE END of the semester. Give little useful feedback. I was left wondering how I was doing the entire time. She even went as far as deleting posts in an open forum where we all complained about this issue! TRUTH

This teacher is so unorganized. Half of the assignment links never worked and and she takes way to long to grade. Three of my essays were not graded until the end of the semester so I did not know where I stood grade wise.

Worst teacher in all my years of schooling. She didn't even grade 3 of our essays, so we could never revise them. She finally gave us grades at the end of the semester. Horrible teacher, doesn't respond to emails. DO NOT TAKE.

TERRUBLE EXPERIENCE !... If only I had known of this website prior to enrolling in this class. This instuctor takes a week to respond to emails (for a online class) reguarding any concerns or questions. Shows little concern and provides little to no feedback on submited work..

DID NOT GRADE ANYTHING until the very end of semester, If you ever have a question dont expect an answer. This is the perfect example of a professor who takes on too much work load, and the students pay. Even though i still got an A, This was a figure it out yourself situation

Grades late, hardly responds, and easily gives out 0's, even if she's unclear in the instructions for the assignments. Leads you to believe using SmarThinking prior to submitting an essay will be taken into consideration when grading but doesn't. I have a B but grades still missing. Avoid unless you can handle being in the dark about your grades.

Please be aware before you take this class online. End of school year and no grade. Can be an inconsistent class and NOOOOO communication period between the teacher and student. Half the assignments are graded at THE END OF THE YEAR. Another classes assignments were mixed within my class which caused confusion. Just be aware before you decide.

Avoid ANY course with this professor. Does not communicate to students, posts rambling, confusing assignments with multiple deadlines using required feedback from her. Problem is she doesn't grade anything, doesn't provide timely reviews and generally is completely unprepared. Semester ended and 11 assignments going back to Feb ungraded. AVOID!

She was a mess. Syllabus was from the wrong semester. Due dates were all off. Assignments were irrelevant, having nothing to do with the topic we were studying. Links for submitting assignments were disabled. Never responds to emails. Take this class if you want a headache.

She is very rude. Does not help you at all. Avoids answering questions. Blames you for her not being clear. Takes 5-10 days to reply to your email.

AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COST! Everything that everyone has said about her is true. Took her online. Links NEVER works, assignments were unorganized, some had dates, dating back to 2012. Never responded to emails in a time manner. Ended the semester w/o proper feedback on assignments submitted. Great subject AAML,HORRIBLE INSTRUCTOR.

She never responds to any form of communication and when you take her class it is as if you are taking all of the classes that she teaches. Most of my assignments were from a writing class and an African American Studies, set up deadlines but never held herself to one. WORST CLASS EVER!!!

Worst professor ever, I do not recommend anyone to take her class. Everything you read from the previous comments is accurate . You basically have to teach yourself, she does not teach you anything and grade papers three days before the semester ends and expects you to revise it. This teacher needs to be reported and replaced.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I worked my hardest in this class & earned a 84% total grade average...she put a C on my transcript. We were on our own the entire semester, didn't hear anything from her for 7 weeks straight at one point. Gave me a 0 on my midterm paper because the file got messed up on her end, didn't let me know until the LAST week of class.

The WORST teacher I have ever taken!! Grades unfairly. Loves to give automatic 0's if any single thing is off with a paper. Due dates are all messed up. Never responds to questions. Takes up to a month or more to get assignments graded back. You are left all semester wondering what your grade will be.

Honestly I gave her the benefit of the doubt of people telling me to get out of her class and I should have listened. She is awful, rude, unorganized, and any other wourd you can come up with that is not very nice. She treats her students with no respect, grades unfairly even if her end was the one at fault. Also I will never recommend her.

I took ENC 1102 online with Professor Freeman and it was totally confusing. Nothing was clear nor did it make sense. Not organized and difficult to keep up with.. I never knew what was due and what was not. I also didn't know which textbook to use to complete my assignments.

I strongly suggest that you DO NOT take Dr. Freeman for any online class. For the entire 6 weeks of the class I could not get in contact with her. I tried emailing, commenting on assignments, and scheduling a meeting. If you have questions about assignments or issues with your grade, don't expect to hear back from her. I typically make straight A's

She is BEYOND FRUSTRATING. None of the links ever work. She is impossible to get in touch with. Rude & unprofessional. Grades assignments SUPER LATE. The assignments & due-dates are unclear, then she blames you for her unorganization. I would not recommend her at all. She even posted a lecture online where she yelled at her kids in the middle.

Do not take her online class. Her lecture videos are not up to date and confused half the class because her video said one thing and the assignment said another. She says she will keep up with the grades but was so far behind that I had no clue what grade I had. At the end I had a C in the class, I made a B on the final and finished with a D? What?

DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE. SHE IS THE WORST PROFESSOR. SHE DOESNT GIVE FIRM ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS AND HER CLASS IS MIXED WITH HER OTHER CLASSES SO YOU'RE LOST THE WHOLE TIME.

Gives way too much homework for a weekly basis. Does not respond or refuses to respond to students. She's not clear when assigning work and will not respond to questions about the homework. She also doesn't know how to use the canvas system properly i.e. Doesn't have the current syllabus available and doesn't have all of the assignments uploaded.

She's awful. She half graded all the work and some she didn't grade. Not specific with grading at all. Avoid her at all cost. If you have her.. drop her

Teacher has poor communication skills. Does not respond to students. Unclear instructions on many assignments. Takes a very long time to grade and doesn't grade all assignments. Didn't fix grades on assignments that were correct and marked wrong. Syllabus is very outdated with incorrect information and she ignores it when you ask questions.

Dr. Freeman is the worst online teacher I have ever had. She doesn't respond to emails or give comments on papers. It's like she puts a class up and then disappears. The class originally had a different teacher but then Dr. Freeman somehow got it. I should have dropped it. I don't recommend her at all.

this is the worst experience i have ever had with a professor. she never responds to questions or emails. her assignments are extremely confusing and i ended up having to redo half of the assignments because the instructions weren't clear. she is a really tough grader and will give you zero points on an assignment even if you did it.

Charity Freeman was a horrible professor. She took absolutely forever to grade any assignment you sent in. She was not communicative at all when it came to emailing her, took her almost a week to respond to anything. I would not recommend taking her class.

this professor is one of the worst i have taken. She doesnt respond to emails, some of the instructions on assignments are so confusing, multiple assignments were reopened because they had errors. AWFUL WOULD NEVER TAKE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

This course has made me want to stay away from online classes. A ton of work, and sometimes it never gets graded. I am still waiting on my final essay to be graded and there is no good feedback. Good luck trying to reach her for any questions. Not worth taking this class.

Dr. Charity Freeman is by far the worst professor I have ever had. She hardly ever gave feedback. She took forever to grade work and sometimes accidentally gave zeros. Work was easy, Freeman was difficult. Only take this course if you feel that you need more stress in your life, Dr. Freeman will provide. I could write so much more. Take at own risk

This is the hardest class I've ever had to deal with and Charity Freeman is the worst professor I've ever had. She's incredibly rude, never gives feedback, and rarely responds to emails, even if the question enclosed in the email is needed for an assignment. My grade doesn't reflect my work ethic, it reflects her laziness regarding her job.

Would not recommend Freeman to anyone. The weekly homework was a lot and you never get any feedback on it or the essays submitted. The weekly assessments didn't match up with the weeks lectures/assignments nor was it even information covered. She was basically not existent and could not be reached. Take at your own risk.

A lot of busy work that doesnt work toward big assignments. Assigned reading doesnt always go with what youre doing. Takes her FOREVER to grade assignments. Weeks! Do NOT wait on her to grade assignments before going to the next part (with the exception of final) or you will end up having a ton of work to catch up on at the end of the semester.

She gave me zeros on multiple heavily weighted assignments I submitted because of small things, even though I did all of the work. She allowed a few revisions and gave me zeros on all of those as well because she didn't actually give me feedback on what I should fix. instructions are unclear and hard to follow. Ended up with C-, brought GPA down.

The worst teacher Ive ever had. She will give you a zero on a paper if you dont cite sources properly. Basically I wrote a paper and I got the same grade I would have if I didnt write the paper. She is a monster. Dont take her class.

She will take alot of points off for any minor mistake in an essay. If you cite everything in the works cited page, but forget to add parenthesis after a small sentence that remotely refers to the cited information, you will get a zero on the essay. She makes you memorize the directions for assignments rather than the content for assessments.

At the beginning of this course, I thought it was not too bad but once we started working on the essays, I could really see how tough a grader she is. She reads your essays in-depth and grades strictly. Pay attention to the syllabus and her grading criteria.

I can't recommend-- the communication is very difficult and she has almost no availability. A tough grader, you had better read every line of the rubric and then read between the lines and then check your syllabus for a blanket statement, because she'll use that too. The course was also full of issues, and she was no help in fixing or assisting any

Dr. Freeman was all over the place 24/7. There was A LOT of unnecessary homework that's time-consuming. You need the textbook for the course. There are surprise essay days where you walk in class and have to start and finish an essay in the allotted time of the class, it is for a grade. I wouldn't recommend her as a teacher, but she's a nice lady.

It was almost impossible to get in touch with Dr. Freeman. It would take days for her to respond to anything, if she responded at all. She also took forever to grade assignments. When she actually did grade assignments, she would give a zero for a minor mistake. Way too many time consuming assignments that weren't necessary. Wouldn't take again.

I worked my head off through this 14 week course for late vague pointless responses, & unfair grading. When she did answer her ego was in the way. About 7 assignments each week for a freshman class. Its beyond inconsiderate to have shoved the amount of work she did to the other teachers, student, & classes in 14 weeks. I'd rather die than repeat.

Instructions for assignments are very unclear. Gives you waaaaay too much work which consist of like six mini essays a week. She grades real harsh on everything even discussion posts and gives no feedback what so ever. Tried to reach out to the school for help multiple times but they only recommend to just drop the class.

Absolutley awful. If i could give a 0 I would. Takes forever to respond and when she does it is not helpful at all. I failed the class because I have never taken an online class like this and I asked for help and all I got was " look at the syllabs" I can not express how much this class sucks DO NOT TAKE HER.

Do not take this "Professors" class. It is awful. She offered almost no helpful feedback and her lectures only cover the work you're going to do not how to do it. If you don't know how to accomplish the tasks, you're going to fail. Also, she offers a lot of "optional" work. It is not optional. It counts towards your final grade.

Not worth the headaches avoid at all costs. The workload is very heavy, with expectations for near perfection. This will be your hardest class if you take this professor.

Taking her class single handedly increased my workload over 200%. Every week she assigns up to 25 unnecessary assigments that even she doesn't grade until much later. She doesn't really have direction, and she doesn't really teach anything apart from reading the assigments she already put outloud.

RUNN!!!! If I could give them a zero I would but a 1/5 Stars will have to do. They're the worst teacher I've ever had. The course work that had to be done on a weekly bases was MORE than my math class. Whenever I messaged them take forever, and the response given was never helpful, always had an attitude. This class is not worth your mental health
