Prof Reed understands the concept of what online class is. We are WORKING adults with full-time jobs & lives. Not an easy-A class by any means, but the work and the time-frame was appropriate for an online class. I would definitely take another class from her! Thanks Prof Reed!!

Professor Reed has been great! This was all new to me and being a full time mom and having a full time job it has been really hard. But she has been great and very understand and knows all about it. I really do appreciate all her time and for helping me to understand. Thank you !

The class is super easy, but you still have to do work! She's a great teacher and is very easy to understand. I would take another class with her as my teacher.

Enjoyed taking her and I am not someone who likes English classes as a whole. She encourages class discussion and is very fair for a 100-level English class. If she taught in any other subject matter, I would certainly try to take her again. She is very understanding and willing to work with you.

Professor Reed was available to help when I needed it. She was very clear in her directions and I learned a lot in her class.

She is the best professor I have ever had. She is an amazing woman and teacher and will do anything to hep you pass. She isn't super strict about attendance but we only had 9 people in our class so it was noticeable if we didn't show up.

Charity Reed was my first English teacher here at AU and I have really enjoyed having her as a phenomenal teacher. She gives great feedback within your writings but also will take off a small amount of points for grammar. She is really funny, nice, inspirational, caring, respected, very easy to contact if you have an illness or oversleep.

Great Teacher! Mrs. Reed is very easy going and understanding, and she actually teaches. This was great, she did not mind answering questions and giving actual input to help you improve.

I really enjoyed this class. Lecture is easy and we learn fun stories about Mrs. Reed. Ask about how the hiking story with her "future hubby". Yes she grades papers hard but she gives good feedback

Amazing teacher. Starts class with stories and uses those stories to connect to the lecture. Gives good feedback and many opportunities in class for grades. Highly recommend taking her class.

She gave good feedback on papers and will give you the grade you earn. Textbooks are technically required but I wish I had not wasted my money on them because you do not really need them. She is very nice, but class got annoying because I never had to pay attention to the lectures or read the textbook to make good grades.

This professor is a great choice for both ENG 101 and 102. Its a good idea to have her for 102 if you had her for 101. The work load is average. The classes are fun and engaging and there are not many boring lectures. If you are looking for a great teacher to have for your freshman year this is the professor for you.

She is a great teacher. From what I've heard other teachers assign, she is more gracious and easy. She is not an easy grader, but she is not a harsh grader either. she is also willing to work with you on assignments and help you as best she can.

I have enjoyed being in Professor Reed's class. She weaves stories into her lessons that often motivate and encourage her students. She is a fair grader of students' work. I suggest that you take her as an English professor if you have the chance.

There was a little confusion at first, but I believe this is normal for 1st week of online classes. Professor Reed was very understanding and worked with me through technical issues and clarifying assignments.

Professor Charity Reed gives great feedback on all assignments. A very caring and devoted teacher. I really enjoyed taking ENG 101 online and learned so much from the class. I was very thankful to have such a kind teacher.

This was one of my very first classes as college student, after being out of school for 20 years. Mrs Charity Yost Reed made this a great experience for a first class and was very helpful. She is very understanding and willing to work with you. She does not have the mentality of what ever she says is right. I Loved having her.

Professor Reed is an incredible teacher! You do have to write 4 or 5 papers but they are not super hard. She gives good feedback when grading and grades fairly. She is also somewhat lenient with due dates.

She always makes you laugh when you aren't feeling good or just not in a good mood. I would recommend professor Reed for this class and every ENG course.

Professor Reed is by far one of my favorite professors! She is so caring and would take time out of her day to help anyome. She always gives back amazing feedback and gives you two chances to fix your paper before turning them in (which is AMAZING). If you have the chance to take her, do it! I am taking her for ENG 102 next semester too!

Professor Reed has a really good sense of humor that helps the class be more entertaining. While a lot of the semester was spent writing papers, they weren't difficult because she was really helpful and did not grade super hard. As long as you put in effort, you can get an easy A in this class. By far the best professor I had all semester.

I would definitely take a class taught from Professor Reed again. She really cares about student progress and wants each student to do their best. She tries really hard to keep the class fun so the lectures do not get boring. All grading is straightforeward and she leaves comments that clarify why points were taken away.

I took Professor Reed for eng 101 and 102 and can say that she is so much fun, at times her classes feel more like a fun conversation more than a lecture. She has a lot of group work, but as long as your group communicates and coordinates through the workload this class will be a breeze.

I would highly recommend you taking this professor. Not only is she a great professor; she is also very caring. There are several papers, but you have plenty of time and great feedback to prepare for them. She is a tough grader when it comes to papers, but her feed back is essential. Do the work to the best of your ability and youll get an A.

This class can be easily done if you do the work because she provides all the tools to be successful. Dont take her caring heart for granted. She really cares about each individual.

I used to hate English and it was my worst subject. However Mrs. Reed made it so fun and enjoyable that Im actually half decent at writing now.

Charity Reed is a 10/10 professor! I would take her again in a heartbeat. The homework is completely manageable and she walks you through every step of your papers/presentations, but you also learn something from the class too. It's the best of both worlds! Do yourself a favor and take her class!

Prof. Reed is a truly amazing professor! She is genuinely so caring, kind, and will make you laugh. The workload for this class is about average, and the rubrics are easy to follow. She is always willing to answer any questions. Its hard to not do well in this class unless you truly dont put any effort in.

She is willing to work with you to ensure that you receive a good grade in her class. I would most definitely take a class from her again :)

Mrs. Reed will tell you to buy 2 books and she asks you to read a chapter from them each week but you do not need to. You Do Not Need To Buy These Books. She goes over everything you need to know in class and summarizes the chapters. Mrs. Reed gives you a lot of time to do 3 major assignments so make sure to do well on those.

Professor Reed was a wonderful professor and I would take her class again. Do not buy the books that she says are required because they are never used. She explains was is required of her assignments and it is very easy to understand. You may multiple redo's if needed and she helps explains any issues that may arise.

She is very nice and willing to work with you when life gets in the way during the semester. She's a pretty lenient grader and gives lots of time to complete assignments

Professor Reed has been my favorite English teacher yet! She loves her students and wants them to succeed.

Her class is pretty easy and as long as you participate in class you won't have to do a lot of work. You work on the assignments she gives everyday in class and then you turn it in for a participation grade. Very easy and if you do bad she will most likely let you redo it. No quizzes or tests either, all grades come from the work in class

Mrs. Reed was an amazing professor and really made the class enjoyable, even for those don't consider english their favorite subject. The whole ENG102 class was broken down into very small and manageable sections that helped. Overall if you're looking for a great teacher that will help you to understand the material, look no further.

Best English professor I've ever had. She is very clear in what she expects and makes an effort to help each of her students personally.

Prof. Reed is one of the most laid back professors I have had. If you communicate with her or she sees the majority of the class is behind, she will move due dates back. There is a decent bit of writing in this class, but Reed breaks it down and gives us a step-by-step to make it seem like we are barely writing.

Professor Reed was very patient and wanted to see each and every one of us succeed in all ways possible. She not only gave us assignments to complete, but she would work through them and answer any questions we had. You could always email or speak with her if you were struggling or not understanding, and she would do everything she could for you.

By far the best English teacher I've had. Her grading is pretty harsh, but she is very a very understanding teacher and is almost always available to help with questions. She answers questions pretty quick by canvas if you have any. Also her classes are pretty entertaining and funny. Will be definitely taking her for English again.

Class reminded me of the movie Free Birds (2014) and that brought a flood of emotions and memories that made me feel warm in all extremities of my body.

She pretty valid and the class is pretty enjoyable

Overall Easy class, easy grader, and not a lot of work.

She has a special way of teaching and making you understand what she is teaching.

She does take her time on grading assignments but when we get them back they have a lot of good feedback with things for us to revise. We did 2 essays in this class and they were not hard at all. She is accessible outside of class, you can email her or send her a message on Canva and she respond fairly.

Really nice and cares about her students--tries to make class interesting and helpful. Clear on what she wants and will help walk you through each paper/assignment--sometimes essays can be difficult at first and hard to start. Very willing to help if you have questions. Also overall an easy grader and gives good feedback.

Took Poetry 1 with her for an English minor credit. Was surprised with how intriguing this class was, and the way Mrs. Reed taught it made it super enjoyable. All of my assignments didn't really even feel like schoolwork, if anything it just felt like a cool hobby you get class credit for. She's super helpful too. Worth taking if you need credit.
