GPA KILLER!!! It is reasonable to get a B at first but then about halfway through the class he gage us quizzes that he told us before hand we would fail. And he was excited and proud when everyone but one person passed. It seems like if 95% percent of the class has an F then it's the professor that failed, not the students.

The content is boring. The textbook is hard to read and doesn't make much sense until he goes over it. Here's the truth: he's actually really nice and a great teacher. His exams are just unfair. You have to memorize about 15 different arguments (each has 6-12 full sentences) word for word. Then you have to recall one random argument from memory and write an essay about it for the exam. If you forget the argument you just straight fail.

This is a challenging class for it being a Gen-Ed. The grading policy is unclear. I am a hard working student and got an F on the first quiz (I missed 2 things). I managed to get a 99 (with a 10 point curve) on the midterm, however I did have to do a substantial amount of outside work and practice. Wouldn't be my first choice, but manageable.
