I took his ethics class. He is not only easy, but he makes class very interesting. He has a good sense of humor and is very flexible. Plus he gives you study guides for the tests. There is no comprehensive final. He is an awesome professor.

Simply amazing. Gave life to this boring class about nothing, and used expletives. AWESOME. Definately a must-take teacher during your course selection at harper. If you took this course already, drop out and take it again. Definately worth it. Ask him about the "rowdy back row" from fall semester!

He is the best teacher! He walks you through everything, especially tests! If you can't pass his class and his tests, you must be a rock! HE GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS! Take his class, whatever it is! And sign up early or you will never get in!

Mr. Brown is definitely one of the finest professors I've had at Harper in my 3 years there. His classes were so enjoyable that I've taken 3 courses with him, all of which were enjoyable. He's a nice guy, his class is not difficult, he's fair, he makes class interesting, and he's just overall great!

Mr. Brown was possibly the easiest teacher I had since junior high. However, I also left his class knowing more than all of my other classes combined. His study guides were exactly what was on the test. Overall, he was a great teacher.

Mr Brown is AWesoem I've never met a cooler professor than him!! I took two classes with him, he keeps you awake and is real funny! He loves talking about his wife and drinking!! His test are super easy, you have to study , but just his study guide will help you!! I totally recommend him!!

Very nice guy. Easy to understand. Gives A LOT of worksheets and they are usually not easy. Will deduct points if you misspell or for bad grammar. His tests are almost identical with the study guide but definitely not easy (multiple choice, essay, fill in the blank, and match). Gives extra credit!

Mr. Brown was soo cool, he was a great teacher. I cant wait to take him for Ethics. He was funny and wanted us to get involved, he wanted to hear our opinions and thoughts, but was never judgmental about them.I wasnt ever bored in his class, and always felt like my opinions counted. Great Teacher!

Great teacher! Good guy, would totally recommend. Review guides are just like the tests. you don't have to read all the material and you'll still get an a. say at least one thing in each debate and you'll get an a. Overall, he's pretty easy. Also, study worksheets for the tests.

He's a really smart guy and he's got a lot of experience. He gives clear instructions and his tests aren't that bad either. He lets you know exactly what he expects. The class material was hard, but his instruction made the subject (world religions) a lot easier to understand.

Stop looking Brown's your man. His classes are hilarious, he knows his stuff and overall his course is pretty easy. Take him. Period. Since there's more room I'll just say since his sections fill up fast if you can't get him, take Benson, as he is also an excellent philosophy teacher.

Mr.Brown is a great proffesor. His class was well organized and manageable. He is always willing to go an extra mile to help students. This particular class required work that was not extremely difficult but very much at students level. He is an excellent teacher who will give you an A if you try your best at everything.

Very nice prof, I liked that he always dressed in shirt & tie-classy! Very respectful of students & views. Awesome role model! Good amt of HW but this is where u make/break ur grade. Didn't go in too much depth on material but it is only PHI115. He really cares about his students, was always prepared & organized. Enjoyed class! Highly recommended.

Charlie Brown is the best teacher. I had him for ethics and learned a lot of new things. There are 4 tests that are easy if you study (I did it for 45 mins. and got A's). There is an interesting debate that's very laid back. He bought us pizza and is awesome!!! take him, you won't regret it.

Brown was awesome. He's really laid back and extremely clear. all of his class lectures and notes are written up in charts before he starts and then he fills them in throughout. VERY EASY to do well in his class if u pay attention and put in a normal amount of effort. assigns readings that arent too long but everything u read u go over in class so

He presents the material in a very organized manner. His notes and handouts are extermely helpful in tests. Very nice guy, loves what he does and is willing to help you out when you need it. I reccomend him if you're planning to take any PHI courses.

Take him for PHI 205... if you take anyone else you will be sorry... trust me...

This man is the best. Very laid back and class had great discussions about the topics. You hear both liberal and conservative sides and it's just a great class to have under your belt. 4 tests, one class debate = very easy stuff here. Tests, study and memorize what you're supposed to

I never had to read any of his assigned readings, his study guides have 99.9% of the questions on the test, no surprises. his assignments are very easy to do as well. I took religions of the world and ethics classw/ Mr. Brown. Really, besides being a great teacher he is a great person. He is fun, nice, willing to challenge you, listen, and help you pass in any way he can. TAKE HIM! Take it from me, I'm a total slacker, I always looked forward to his class.

Great professor. Intelligent, thought provoking, funny, and very respectful of all views. I had him for Philosophy of Religion, a very interesting class, highly recommend it. The tests are fairly easy, the homework isn't terribly often, and straightforward. If you get a class that actually talks and debates, you'll be glad you're taking his class.

Wow Mr. Brown is awesome! Best teacher I have ever had at Harper. You do need to study for tests but he is very clear what is on test. Go to class. I was never interested in philosophy until I took him. He is very passionate about his subject and is very funny. We discuss important issues going on in the world today and makes you love school.

Mr. Brown is seriously awesome. This is my first year at harper and he was my favorite teacher by far! Very funny, and is very passionate about what he teaches. He is a very easy grader, no major projects at all. He basically gives you the test on the study guide, he is very clear about what he wants. Great personality too!

Never have to read for homework because he tells you the chapter the next class. Professor Brown is great! He is polite, extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches, always there to help you, and makes your life easier by giving you notes, offering extra credit, and giving you a study guide for the test. There are four tests, no quizzes, one page paper assignment, homework readings, and occasional short assignments. TAKE HIM!

Took Mr. Brown for Ethics 115 and got an A. By far the best teacher I have ever had. Have never taken a quiz in any of his classes. Show up to class and things will come easy. On review days, be there. The study guide is basically the exam and he gives you answers on test day. Also wrote me a letter of recommendation for another school.

I took Brown for Critical Thinking last semester and learned a lot. The tests won't be hard, as long as you study proficiently. Overall, Mr. Brown is probably the best teacher I've had so far at Harper.

Mr. Brown is an incredible teacher. He makes the class a lot of fun! The book is super confusing, but when he talks about it, he makes things a lot clearer. The study guides he gives are super useful for the test, and despite what everyone says, I would still read the book because there are questions from it.

Mr. Brown is a great teacher. I have also taken PHI205 with him previously. The format of each class is similar. Three tests, a few small assignments, and participation points. He has a good sense of humor. I like his attitude. You can learn a lot from him. He is a very interesting guy. I would definitely take him again!

I love mr.brown! Amazing teacher. This class in general was extremly hard but he helped with anything. I failed every test and he gives you a section to make up on every test which in turn brought my grade up to a B! He knows his stuff and is so funny! take his class you wont fail no matter what because he's always there to help you!

He is such a fantastic professor. He is witty, wise, fun, relaxed, and he is more concerened with the student learning rather than a student preparing for a test. his religions class was the most fun I've had in a class and I plan on taking more of his classes

Mr. Brown is awesome! He's super easy and fun! Loves to have discussions and is open to new ideas. There are only 3 tests, the third test is the final(not cumulative). Study guides are very helpful. Participation and attendance are a good portion of your grade. Study notes and worksheets and you'll be golden!

Mr Brown is an amazing teacher. He is interesting to listen to. He teaches with a passion. You must show up to class since that is a big part of your grade as well as participation. Power points and reviews are pretty much the test itself.3 tests with 1 of those tests being the final. Very interesting class. You will like him! I recommend him :)

Professor Browns class is so easy to pass! three tests including the final and a 1-2 page paper, attendance is a must and just participate, study off your lecture notes and you'll pass with an A . understanding about turning in late work and he likes to joke around a lot he's awesome!

Mr. Brown is a really nice guy, but his class is boring. He tries to make it fun, but he goes off on tangents everyday. He gives a lot of quizzes and worksheets but you can do them in groups. He also gives some extra credit, but if you don't show up to class and you don't participate often, your grade will suffer greatly.

Prof. Brown has a very humorous approach to Philosophy and you never want to miss a lecture (well you don't because attendance is mandatory). There isn't much to say that people haven't said already and this is why Prof. Brown's classes get filled early. Tests are easy and we go through the study guides in class.

A genuinely good person and teacher. So happy I took his course. He is extremely fair and all of his notes are clear. The course is more on the difficult side but he made it easy. Homework was always reading, but I rarely did so and still ended up with good grade. If anyone has the opportunity to take his courses, DO IT.

Best Teacher at Harper. :D His class was an eye opener! He plays videos and visual powerpoints that are short and simple. He gives study guides for the test with some of the exact question!! All in class work. I had to do homework about twice. He knows everybody by name and keep you laughing and smiling! :D Take him!!!!

He was my absolute favorite professor I have had at harper so far! He's absolutely hilarious and very informative. It was a very interesting class and we didn't have a lot of homework. Just study for the tests and participate and you'll get an A!

Prof. Brown is the goat. Yes, you do have to write a lot of papers and stuff, but he is a pretty easy grader which is encouraging to keep going. Class is very bearable

One of the best professors I've had. He genuinely cares about students' understanding and success. The class is manageable with the free textbook, and tools like Unstuck study were super helpful for study prep. Definitely recommend taking his lectures.
