There should be more Professors like Brown! Quizes are once a wk. if you read than you should do fine. Provides extra help, give good feedback and classes are interesting. Some things were challenging; some were easy. Highly reccomended.

Very helpful professor! One of the better adjuncts at Kean! Class is easy if you do the work! Yes, you do have quizzes every week,but they are easy peasy if you study the DSM! Three presentations, first a career presentation, than an assigned topic from a list of many, and lastly a debate from taking sides with a partner. Don't be intimated!

Professor Brown was the best professor I had at Kean. I had him for Senior Seminar and I swear, I have never learned so much at Kean as I did with Professor Brown! He relates to his students on a personal level and understands each individual uniquely. I highly recommend taking Professor Brown, you won't regret it.

One of the best professors at Kean University, if only the rest were like him. Had him for PSY 4200 and he tells you how to the assignments step by step and how tests are taken. The tests are "take home tests" so you should be able to do them with no trouble at all. You can't fail if you put an effort. I definitely recommend to take his class .

Professor Brown is honestly such a good teacher. Homework and tests make you think but are super easy. Book is mandatory for homework. As long as you participate as much as you can, he will favor you and you will get a better grade. Take notes, they are not mandatory, but are worth writing down. He doesn't give any extra credit, so be sure to be on top of your assignments.

Dr. Brown is one of the best professors in the psych department. All the assignments count so make sure you don't skip them, hand in what you can. He covers a lot every class so it's not a class you can just skip all the time. He really cares about his students and he's a pretty funny guy when he lectures. I def recommend taking him.

Professor Brown is such a great professor. I had him for 8 am lectures and he always found a way to keep the class entertained and aware. He does give a lot of work and if you actually put in effort, then you won't have a problem in his class. what makes his class even more tolerable is the fact that he lets you use lecture slides for his exams.

He's a good professor and very knowledgeable, sometimes you have to pay attention to detail on what he is saying, his homework assignments aren't that bad at all as long as you read the instructions and details.

Professor Brown made this class very easy to follow. Open note tests. Buy the textbook, it will help you get a good grade for the chapter questions assigned by him and his essays. There is no extra credit. He is very fair with grades and expects assignments to be handed in on time. A lot of assignments but it is easy to handle with the textbook.

Even though he gives us a lot of homework or labs, he still a good teacher, so pay attention to detail so you won't fall behind. He's really helpful during office hours.

The workload is heavy but it a 4000 level course. The class had me stressed with all the Labs and homework but I did learn a lot. Come to class, ask for help, work hard and you will pass. I would take him again. Quizzes and Test are open book .

I love this professor, he actually does care about student's work progress! He wants us to take things step by step so you would know what to do for your paper! He does help people with their assignments. So he's a great professor!

Professor Brown made General Psychology (PSY1000) really interesting, and he is very engaging. You will have "critical thinking questions" due most weeks, which are time-consuming, but not too difficult. If you do the work and show up to class he will notice and help you to succeed. There is only one paper, and it's only 3-4 pages.

He is really great professor his test are easy and he just doesnt count your grades he look for how much effort you put into the class I did bad on the test a little bit but since I did all the homework he gave and finished all the assignment he gave me A

Do the CTQ's every week for homework. Take notes in class and listen to what he says and you will get an A. He makes a class feel like a one on one therapy session. He's so amazing at his job. I would take him for every course if I could!

Get it off amazon for $20. He has 50 multiple choice tests every other week. They are open book but the questions are complex. Study and take notes!

His Child Psychology class is like no other, his lectures, his jokes and his report with his students is amazing. People on here say hes rude, his is blunt, do the work and get the grade you want it's simple. Show up, participate, do the HW and get a good grade. His quizzes are not easy so make sure you LISTEN TO WHAT HE SAYS and you will pass.

He is an amazing professor and he is always available for his students. He is very good at what he does and wants to see students succeed. Definitely recommend.

He is a bit intimidating but he is a true and honest man, he is so funny and one of the nicest people. You get the grade you want, do the CTQ's and you will pass. Amazing professor. Very smart and VERY funny. He makes things very interesting and he is easily one of the started and most dedicated professors I have ever have. I switched my major to psychology after having him. He is truly the best and he does not believe in teaching wrong information anything he says he does tons of research on before class.

Very Inspirational Professor. He knows so much about psychology and he is so passionate about it. He really takes the time to help all students if you put in the work. He was chill but reading the book is mandatory and he also gives critical thinking questions once a week which is not a lot but can take a few hrs to do if youre doing them all in one sitting. His class is not hard but you just have to make sure that you do your work and take notes. Also exams are open book!

Highly recommend this professor. I learned A LOT. Very informative and caring. He gives feedback on almost all assignments. Textbook is needed to complete weekly critical thinking questions. Tests are made up of 50 multiple choice questions, and are given every other week but it is open book. He definitely has a love for teaching and his students.

Professor Brown has been my favorite professor thus far. He really wants every student of his to succeed, if you work for it though. The homework questions can be a little hard to understand but he's available to answer any questions you might have. This man is a true gem and I loved his class.

By far one of the best profs at Kean. He gives you an opportunity to do the best you can. He holds you to a high standard and does give a good amount of work but if you do bad on the quizzes and do all your HW you can still get an A. People to stop being butthurt because he gives work its college.

Amazing professor who made me want to switch majors. Very smart man who truly cares about his students, past, and present and wants everyone to succeed. good professor, DQ and about 5-6 critical thinking questions due every Sunday so not that much work, strict participation and attendance policy so make sure you attend class, 50 question test about every 2 weeks or so, overall easy class if you try

Really does care about his students 3rd time having him for class. Experimental is a tough class, he makes it easy to understand, you have to put in the time and effort into getting a good grade. Participate in his class, you'll end up with a decent grade. Keep in touch with him, ask questions and engage in the Discussion Board. Be prepared to write/type a lot for homework. One assignment per week and 2-3 group projects. He mainly teaches PSY, but he incorporates some of the teachings from there into his Critical Reading classes.

Professor Brown is a great professor. Assigns Critical Thinking Questions every week, quizzes about the chapters every few weeks, textbook is required for homework use, he assigns light homework&gives you enough times to complete the assignment. Tough grader, but its for the best. He wants you to know the information. Definitely recommend.

As someone who took Brown for PSY 1000, PSY 2100 and Experimental Psych, he is a demanding professor that just wants you to do well. He does have high expectations however, news flash, this is COLLEGE. He will teach you a ton if you actually show up and he is very funny. 11/10

Would take Brown anyday, I also had him for PSY 2100 and PSY 4230, he is demanding however, he teaches so well. He is very understanding and wants all students to do well. He is very clear as to what constitutes an A in his courses. He grades not only on content but EFFORT.

Take Prof Brown for any psych class! He is so funny and makes psych entertaining. His tests are open notes, and the only HW assignment is Critical Thinking questions that you get a week to work on. He cancels classes on test days bc they are online and is incredibly kind. He also works his class out where you can miss 6 classes b4 losing credit.

Professor Brown is a well-respected individual. In this class, there were weekly assignments as well as occasional essays and tests that were taken at home. Participating in this class is a must and he does attendance through a website at the end of class. Overall, he was super kind and understanding, and would definitely take him again!

He is a very kind person and is willing to help his students. He introduced a program to my friend and I that'll benefit us for our career. Lecture heavy but makes jokes doesn't feel like a long class. Overall great professor and would recommend to others :) unfortunately he's retiring and this was his last semester.

The class is straightforward and relatively easy. As long as you are respectful during lectures, you will have no issues in this class. Weekly assignments are due Sunday night, with tests, including the midterm and final exam, online and at home. He has a good sense of humor and is well-spoken. Definitely recommend!

Brown is fantastic and I wish he wasn't retiring! He makes the class time go by fast and all his tests are open note and taken at home! He also posts the slideshows before the test so you have no excuse to not use notes. My only issue with him is that the critical thinking questions were a bit too much for a GE class but they were relatively easy.

Very informative. Well understanding speeches. Always A game attitude. ** Overly specific questions, requires very specific answers. Beware, No make up and No extra credit. 15 minute grace period after due date but that is final. May seem easy at first, but with improper work managing skills, the class can become overloading.

Didn't get the best grade but TBH, that was on me. He is so easy to contact, clear about grading, and helps when he can. I've taken at least one class per school year with him and always recommend his classes to others. Easily one of the best professors at Kean. As long as you show up and do the critical thinking questions you'll be fine.

All I can say is that as long as you read the book and submit your assignments on time, you will do great. He gives great feedback. I took this class online, and after reading the reviews, I wish I had the opportunity to take it in person. 100% Recommend!
