Mr.Corwin is the best chemistry teacher I ever had. He makes chemistry fun. He's very thorough and he knows his stuff because he wrote the Chem 2A book. His class is very easy if you read the book and his tests are easy if you get the study guide.

You actually have to read the book, but professor Corwin has done an excellent job with the book and support materials in making this subject easy to understand. I was previously intimidated to take chemistry, now I am looking forward to taking more.

Incredibly intimidating (until you get to know him), he is very intelligent though - as a professor should be, but he's definitely a chemistry nerd. He is very enthusiastic about the subject. Recommended for people who are serious about learning chem.

He knows his stuff. very understanding and gives a lot of extra credit. Easy internet quizes and vocab quizes to bring up your grade. Tests are kinda hard but not too bad if u go over notes and the book. Accumulative final which sucks but do good on labs, internet and vocab and you will be fine.

Corwin is kind of scary, but if you actually read the book you will get a good grade. Tests and quizzes are very straightforward and come from the book, which he wrote. You will learn a lot in this class, and will be prepared for further chem classes.

Extremely easy class is an awesom professor!!! Very helpful and will help u with any qestions and lab. Gives a lot of extra credit. Got an A + in the class. Stronly recommend him

I got picked on a lot but it's OK because we all know his hand gestures are hilarious. He is very knowledgable and you'll get a lot out of asking him questions. He makes the subject not seem like such an obstacle.

I thought he was a good instructor, although he had some wierdness about him. He hums alot...and has interesting body language. He makes the class very easy and he told me that everyone that has ever took him class has gotten a C or better. Which is true...he makes it hard to fail.

Mr Corwin rocks, he is very upfront with what is required. He makes it easy to do well.

I never know that I would actaully enjoy chemistry.. he made it so easy for me.. at first i thought i would not even pass the class frommy test grades but I ended up getting a B!!! Awsome teacher, garanteed good grade!

Class has a lot of work involved, but that is normal. He was very helpful. It was also nice that he wrote the textbook...so there were no misunderstandings between what he taught and what the book said.

Took a course from him in 1975ish. Best math instruction I ever received in a chem class. I thank this instructor under my breath each time I use the unit factor method, whether in my kitchen or while administering meds in the O.R. where I work as an R.N. Come prepared. He'll get you to where you're going.

great professor. i learned a lot. he gives tests every week, on the chapter that you learned from the previous week.if you study you will get a good grade. nice guy.

He is not great nor bad. He was very wierd sometimes! I had to drop the class because I got behind a lot due to my hectic work schedule. The class goes really fast that's for sure, but if you stay on top of things you'll do fine!

WOW!! i hated & feared chem. Before Prof Corwin, I took chem 3 times with different teachers & droped it because i just couldn't understand. He is really helpful & gives lots of x-tra credit, but u can't miss any of his classes because he gives quizes or tests every class period. if u do all the work & pay attention in class u will pass!

I found him to be a great teacher! Lots of chances for extra credit. Alot easier then most!If study... easy A

i don't know what all of you guys are talking about. I took chem with Mr. Corwin and just loved it. Don't think that professor will put all the info into your head. Maybe you just need to read some more and study. At least try. Professor Corwin is good teacher!!!!!!! And class is not suppose to be easy. You need to learn and not chill!!!

Professor Corwin is the only teacher that was easy for me to understand when it comes to calculations. I have always feared numbers because they just seemed complicated for me to understand but Professor Corwin explains problems with solutions as easy as possible and teaches real clear too. Gives extra credits all the time.

Mr. Corwin is a good professor. You just have to study and read his book. He is very educated and intelectual. If you have a problem with your test score just bring it to his attention and he will change it. He is very reasonable.

Mr.Charles Corwin is an excellent professor in chem. I learned a lot from him, to think that I hated my former chem.prof, he is very interesting and very approachable. If I have to do chem again, I will definitely enroll in his class!!!

corwin was a good prof....his lectures were clear and to the point...you could come to the class loaded everyday and still pass

If you're going to take this class take it with him, he wrote the textbook and he knows what he's doing. He teaches the equations in two different ways to accomadate different learning styles, and this is SO helpful to the mathematically challenged! He is however a grumpy man, so be forwarned.

I'm just wrapping up my semester with Prof Corwin and it's gone very well! He's a very fair teacher, he's not setting anyone up for failure. He wants you to do well and gives ALOT of extra credit points. He has a dry sense of humor but you can tell he really loves his subject. I would highly recommend his class!

Prof. Corwin is such a great teacher. He explains everything very clear. And before you turn in your lab, you can give it to him to check it, and he points out your mistakes and you can go and change it. It's easy to get an A for his labs. I recommend to take him and you won't be sorry!

The best teacher ever. I enjoyed his class so much! Always helpful. If you have any questions the best way to contact him is in lab or after class. Each Ch. Test we were alowed to use notes which was very helpful. Hightly RECOMENDED. Chem is hard but he made it simple. A lot of extra credit. Tests are out of the book & similar to Solutions Manual.

I highly recommend him! I'm so afraid to take Chem but it's unavoidable since I'm majoring in Nursing. Chem is a tough subject but with him as your teacher and your personal effort to pass the class, you'll be fine! Extra credit, some open notes-quizzes, practice final... You'll be fine!!! Btw, with my fear with Chem, i got a B!!!

If you do your part as a student; show up to class and study the text book which Corwin wrote you will have no problems passing this class. Test are easy and he offers lots of extra credit. He does not use Algebra but a very simple math so do not feel intimidated. He is fun and very knowledgeable.

The most intelligent person i have ever met. He knows the answers to any question you ask. even if it has nothing to do with chemistry. really caring and gives a lot of helpful tips for the future. Love that guy.

Open note tests. Makes chemistry easy to understand. I didn't even try in this class and i got a c almost a b.

gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. always opens class with a class discussion. always gave us an opportunity to make up tests and quizzes no matter how many days has past. is very knowledgeable and i consider him a fun teacher. lab is only 1 to 1 3/4 of an hour long. i recommend him to everyone.

There are teachers who teach, and then there are teachers who provide a learning opportunity. Corwin has provided a semester of learning opportunities. Maybe not the hottest teacher on campus, but definitely a professor who really cares about his students learning.

Corwin's class is fairly straightforward. He won't surprise you with questions you've never heard of before on tests and he gives LOTS of E.C. Everything that he tests on comes from the book (which he wrote). Notes didn't help me at all so I didn't use them to study. Difficult subject, att. mandatory, kind of odd prof. but nice enough. Recommended

Only had him for the LAB portion of class, WISH I had him for Lecture too. Dr. Corwin is a great teacher! He really loves the subject and has been teaching for a long time. He also wrote the textbook and lab manual! He is very helpful and makes the Lab run smoothly. The labs were pretty fun. I will miss his class and I hate chemistry!

Corwin wrote the book used for the class. I only had him for lab but he made chemistry able to be done by everyone. I was intimidated before using his methods and now I feel I can take the next level up in Chem because of him. Awsome teacher!!!!!! The confidence I have now is priceless.

Corwin was a great professor. Chem 305 with him was my first chem class and he made me love the subject. Tests every week, extra credit on every test. DO GOOD ON THE FINAL IF YOU WANT A HIGH GRADE! Proff Corwin is super intelligent, seemed like he had an answer to every question. I went on to take Chem 400 and am doing well thanks to Corwin!

Very nice professor, he explains everything during the lecture, and at home you need just revise material from book. I get B (it was my fault) but I thing it is not hard to get A. Not stressful teacher.

one of the best, i've had another for sub, but thank God for Corwin he is so good, take his time to explain, allowed cheat sheet and calculator on every testlots of extra points,study attend class and get your lab on the second day of week,because the lec ch is on your lab.lots of qizes and tests good luck.

This was my first chemistry class. It was not at all easy. He was a great instructor. Follows the book. If you study the book you will pass the class. + He give lots of E.C. and he allows the class to bring notes for the tests. If I had anything bad to say about him it would be that he is too smart for conceptual level teaching. Overall good class

Great professor! Extremely helpful and highly recommended. The textbook was great. I would recommend using the optional solutions manual if possible. I took the class in the summer so the workload was a little strenuous, but manageable. He gives alot of extra credit and allows you to use notes on tests. However no matter what he says, the grade on your final is about 90% of your grade in the class. I did really well in the class but not so well on the final and he didn't give me the grade I deserved in the class. Unfortunate.

Great teacher. Offer ton of extra credits. He teaches straight out of the textbook. Textbook was extremely helpful to me. And he drops the worst test and quiz score. :) Let you use notes on test. Use that as an advantage! Unfortunately, I got an B.

corwin is probably the best professor i have ever had in my life. he explains everything clearly and if you still don't understand he will explain it to you until you get it. he is very helpful and gives out lots of extra credit points. i didn't like chemistry when i started but now i love it!! he loves teaching which made me love his class!

This is the best Chemistry professor that I have ever taken. As for any Chemistry class you need to study but even with all the studying this class was just a breeeze. I took this class over the summer and it was just great. In order for u to get an A in his class you need to have 95%. I would recomend him to anybody looking for a good Chem teacher

great teacher . Since the book he uses is the one he wrote, he lectures straight from it. Makes the class easy and straight forward and tests are chapter by chapter and quizzes are short on key terms. He is a reasonable teacher and no homework just study for tests.

He is the best professor for Chem, ofcourse you have to study, Dah, it's college not elemetary school. The crying people with the bad coments you should try someone else for Chem and than you will see the hard professor.

Just had him for lab while Van Atta lectured. It always takes him a while to get everything set up. Best to listen for instructions and wait patiently while he prepares. Doesn't like lots of talking. Pay attention to him when he talks or demos & you'll do fine. Read the experiment & do pre & post labs ahead of time to save time in lab.

Very good professor who wants you to succeed. Test every Mon. Quiz & collabortive exercise every Fri. Notes ok on exam. Loves his subject, and it shows. Helpful, friendly, & fair. Really great teacher. Was terrified to take this class but he made it manageable. Tests are every week but they're only on one chapter plus we can use a whole sheet of paper with notes for each test. Vocab quizzes once a week too. They are easy 10 question multiple choice. Also he gives tons of extra credit both on tests and as homework assignments

Take him! Gives the periodic table for every test but one and lets you take notes on it! He gives three sheets for the final exam since it does cover everything throughout the semester. Test ever Monday and key term quizzes on Friday plus collab. Drops 2 test+1 quiz& a collab exersize. Gives over 100 points in extra credit. ended with a 96%!!:)

Corwin makes Chemistry easy. There's a lot of extra credit & the class is designed to be clear & stress free. I got over a 100% in the class & anyone who says the final is a huge part of the grade can't do math. Take the lab on Friday, you'll be out of there over 2 hours early & get a better grade because you'll learn how to do it that morning.

Corwin is awesome! I came to the class hating chemistry and now I love it. He teaches at a pace where everyone can understand. Test every Monday and Quizzes every Friday. Collaborative helps you understand the material way better. Would recommend to take the Friday lab because you will know all the material you need to know for the lab.

Corwin is the best professor, there really is no reason you should fail his class. He gives you all the resources you need and some extra credit. You have a test, key term quiz and collab. exercise every week, the quiz and collab. are basically easy points. Tests were based mainly on the book so study the chapter and you'll be fine.

Overall great professor. Make sure to do well on the final though because that will determine your final grade for the class. Sucks cos I finished off with a 90.9% but he considers it a B because of the final :( Other than that, he is a terrific professor and would recommend to anyone.

He made chemistry so EASY! He explains everything very simply. There's a quiz or exam every class but they're easy!He allows notes for the exams it's hard to fail. Also offers a lot of extra credit. Lowest exam and quiz grades are dropped. Easy A if you put in the study time. I recommend a study group and you'll pass. I would take again.

This class wasn't bad at all. He's pretty self explanatory. theres a test and quiz every week. He breaks things down pretty good for you to understand the material. As long as you show up everyday and pay attention, you'll pass!

This is the hardest class ive ever had to take so far.. If youre good at math and calculations maybe it will be easier for you. Corwin makes it as bareable as possible. Once you learn how he does his tests it gets easier. Study the pratice tests he uploads to d2l and also the pratice test at the end of every chapter and you will do fine.

one test and one quiz per week. example tests are available to practice, REALLY HELPED. quizzes are on vocab from the chapter covered during that week. 10 questions match the word to the definition. not hard to get 100% if you just study the words. drops lowest test score. he makes the material easy to understand.

Prof Corwin, what he expected was clear. There were no surprises, one vocab quiz and one chapter test a week. He knew this class was a pre-req to others and was willing to work w/ you to make sure you pass as long as you put in the time. He also catered to all the different learning styles to make sure everyone understand. He was approachable!

Prof. Corwin is Great professor for Chemistry 305. There's a chapter test every Monday and key term quiz on Wednesday. Easy class if you pay attention and read chapter. A lot of students have an A in his class. I recommend taking this instructor.

Definitely review the end of chapter review and the pre tests he has on canvas, some of his test questions come from there. Easy A if you put in the work. My grade dropped because I didn't study for the last 3 exams.

Charles corwin is really good professor only problem was lab because his assistant was Nichole Mann and she was projedest , so basically she doesn't like foreigner .for example she doesn't let me and other foreigner help each other in lab class. but for American she didn't say any thing . so if it s law why only us we have do that .

Online was difficult because Professor and everyone in class had to switch over to online due to the pandemic. So he did try, he gave a lot of extra credit when we were in session, he was reasonable grader and I enjoyed his corky sense of humor. Fair teacher.

Prof. Charles Corwin is a great professor. I took the online class of Fall 2020 due to COVID-19. No Zoom class. Every week for the entire semester, we had Chapter test 40 Questions (Q), Chapter Key term Quiz 10 Q and Lab tests between 20 to 30 Q. Follow his Chapter practice test and you would be all fine. He offers around 35 to 40 extra credit. A+

I want to take back my bad review. He actually works with you and isn't difficult like a lot of professors are. His class isn't impossible you just have to know how everything works. He is a cool dude and doesn't mind helping.

Great professor. He started the class stating that he would "spoon feed" the material to you thorough the semester, which is true.There is a test every Monday and a quiz and group assignment every Wednesday. It's always forward in that class. Can use a periodic table with whatever notes you have on EVERY test. Doesn't use canvas for grading though

Professor Corwin is awesome, He always cares about his students the only thing you have to do is to learn the lesson correctly, There is a test every Monday and a key term quiz every Wednesday, his class is easy but never rely on the lectures. Have a great semester :)
