I like this teacher a lot. He is very funny and makes it a pleasure to come to class. If you do the study guides that he provides for you, you should do well on tests. He is very animated which helps you remember things. I would rcommend this teacher.

GREAT Teacher!!! Very funny and gives lots of personal stories. He is clear in explaining the material so that students(non-Biology majors) are able to understand. Make sure to review the study guides he gives in class they help out a lot. If you study you should get an A. Go to class it's only to your benefit.

His stories and sense of humor make it easy to maintain interest in the coures. Not boring or monotone. He gives you a study guide before every test. Study and you will do well.

I took Dakarian for A&P 245 and 246...MOST EASIEST and funniest teacher that I've taken. He wants his students to pass so he'll help you pass by setting up pretests, study-guides, and stories that make it easier to remember lecture. I really recommend this guy!

The stories made it easy to remember. +/- all the things drawn on the board. It is like an art class some days but you learn some organs inside out. Cadaver was cool -- we saw it more for certain topics. Never a dull moment. Lots of thought-provoking essays from lab book, mainly. So DO LABS & boost grade !

He made the class fun, and I looked forward to attending each day. He is very helpful and posts practice tests that I highly recommend looking at. He really knows the topic.

He made it worth it going to a 7am class. He is hilarious, and teaches the subject so you get the material. If you do not get it, he'll go over it until you get the material. Pretty laid-back guy. Do practice tests for an easy A, and Do labs for extra points...EASY A class.

He gives real life examples of the topics and keeps class interesting and fun. best professor so far!

Extremely organized. Tested like this: selected most essay questions from the labs, 40 multiple choice questions from the student fill-out sheets that we filled out, and 50 LAB questions almost totally from the practice LAB tests he set up for us days before test. That way I always knew what to expect on tests. Rooms were ice cold in the summer.

Chuck is just awesome. He's funny and makes class something to look forward to. Do the labs BEFORE class(ALL of the Q's), go to class and understand things better, listen and take notes, and you'll be set for an A. I'd take him for 246 but the waitlist is already 12-15 deep. He's hot commodity.

One of the best professors I've ever had! He made A&P super fun and easy to learn. His tests are pretty straight forward, just be sure to do his study guides!

He wants you to pass and learn what Anatomy has to offer. Hard to take notes in his class as he disorganized. Makes the class fun, but I'd rather stay home and learn the material myself. Lecture drags on, never time for lab. Easy class if you study out of class. Quizzes weekly and test every two weeks or so. Easy class if you study, good luck.

Professor Dakarian is passionate about teaching this class. Its nice because he offers homework and extra credit. If your not the best test taker it helps offset the test grades. I absolutely loved this class and quite honestly I didn't think I would. I recommend Prof. Dakarian, he has been the best teacher I have had at ECC.

Fantastic professor! He's a very nice guy and makes class fun. Be sure to do and know the study guides and the handouts. Tests are somewhat hard. You really need to put in the time at home studying but if you're willing to put in the time you will do well in his class. Dr. D is one of the best teachers I've ever taken!

He was a great professor to take during the summer. Very good sense of humor. Study the study guides, do a presentation for extra credit, show up for your benefit to learn the material better. He is always very helpful! Truly recommend him!

Dr. Dakarian's teaching style is one which makes the student remember the material due to his enthusiasm and the humor he cleverly utilizes in making examples during lectures. Love his sense of humor. He is very intelligent and is so laid back. I took Fladland and Dakarian for my Anatomy courses. Both are great - either would be great teachers to take. Homework is all optional (online, paper or labs). They are like bonus points if you do them.

Dr. Dakarian is a great professor! I learned so much from him. He made learning easier because he used analogies to help us understand better. Make sure to study the study guides he gives out. Those are the key to getting an A on his test ( I think he drops a test and 1 quiz). I would take him again

He isnt afraid to be goofy when its test time you remember his goofiness. Hes extremely kind, down to earth & he wants to tell you the truth about medicine & anatomy. Hes extremely knowledgable. He can explain almost anything. The first week I had him I cried. Hes a little all over the place give him a chance theres a method to the madness. 3 him!

Prof. Dakarian is the best teacher i have ever had at ecc. He is very whacky and gets off topic a lot, but he does for a reason. you have so much fun in his class, you don't even know that you're learning difficult information. His tests are VERY easy. i never studied for anything and got a 100% in his class. very nice, loves to talk with students

He is a very good teacher. He keeps the lectures fun. He always lets you know exactly what to study for on quizzes and doesn't give pop quizzes. He gives extra credit. His tests are easy as long as you study and know how to identify the bones, muscles, etc. The only thing he needs to work on is his organization, took me 2 months to get used to him.

BIO 245 is an easy A so long as you do the work. I wouldn't say he's a pushover, but he does give you PLENTY of resources to prepare you for quizzes and exams. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities as well. He's a little scatter-like, but once you get past it, you'll find he really knows his stuff and wants his students to succeed.

I took was nervous because he didn't read directly off the powerpoint like other teachers did. He tells stories and uses goofy things that help you remember. He is incredibly intelligent and loves what he does, all of the lectures are in his head! He gives great feedback and gives you every chance to get an A. Do the hw and labs, you'll get an A.

He is a very nice teacher. He gives extra credit. If you are an organized person his lectures can cause anxiety. This is mainly because he is enthusiastic about teaching and wants to teach many things at once. Once you get passed that you'll be fine. Good Luck!

It's an overall fun class. He is very goofy and funny. He tells a lot of stories. He's actually worked as a doctor, so has wisdom about how things are different in the real world. He's not very organized. If you are one of those people that like to learn everything about a certain subject thoroughly, don't take him. He skips topics as well.

Use lab book and textbook about evenly, but his study guides are pretty thorough. Likes "levels of organization" for each system, so make sure you learn the cell, the tissue, the organ and so on for most systems. I found him to be quite a good lecturer, and moves fast but will slow down if you ask him to. Energy, philosophy, repetition keywords.

Professor Dakarian is soo funny. a little unorganized but he knows his stuff. His lectures are literally the study guide. Gives lots of examples that help you remember the material. His test are not that hard and homework is basically extra credit. I would definitely take him again if i could.

Tests were literally off of the study guides that he hands out (with writing nonetheless). Talks a lot, but focuses on one topic the entire class time. Tells great stories though. Quizzes were rare. Doesn't give much time to work in the lab to prepare for lab exam.

Dr. Dakarian is honestly my favorite professor at ECC. He is hilarious and uses a lot of real life examples that really help you learn the material. He gives a lot of quizzes but as long as you study the hand outs, they will be easy points. He is unorganized, which really bothered me at first, but I have gotten used to him. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Dakarian is very disorganized & a bit all over the place. Apart from that I don't have any other complains. He's a GREAT professor & makes class entertaining. He gives quizzes & tells you exactly what to expect on them, so as long as you study you should do fine. Same goes for the exams, as long as you study your study guide you will do well.

If you get the chance take him he's the BEST! Funniest professor I've ever had he will have you in tears from too much laughing, his exams are literally the study guide, & goes over the quizzes before handing them out. He breaks down the hardest materials into the simplest way students understand. Glaf I'm taking him next semester for 246

He's such an entertaining teacher, in the good way. He is an easy grader, and if you don't let the information overwhelm you before the tests, you'll notice how easy he tailors the tests to fit the class overall. He also drops your worst test and quiz as long as they meet a passing grade. Easy A.

Anatomy class is a lot of work regardless the teacher, just study and you will for sure pass. Dr Dakarian is fun and lectures very clear and will always be happy to help, he wants students to succeed. 1 exam per unit, 1 final not cumulative. quizzes but every exam is the study guide, lots of extra credit. very nice and funny. Excellent teacher!

He was the best teacher I ever had in anatomy. He was very knowledgeable, and kind. He made us learn the material in rhythmic way. Everything just flowed together very well. The material was very long, and he made sure we took a special attention to his lecture. He provided many videos and other hand outs to relate to the material. Great Teacher

There was not a day I didn't laugh in his class, I looked forward to his class every week. Quizzes are an easy A. Gives you a huge study guide before every test. He tailors the test for whatever is covered. Some short answer q's. Some quizzes for practice, some graded. Boost percentage with 20% hw points. If you do the study guides that he provides for you, and the homework, you should do well overall. He is very energetic & tries to help you if you ask q.

Dr. Dakarian is a phenomenal professor. He keeps you entertained and relates what he is teaching to real life examples. All of the material for the exams is what he goes through in class and what are on the study guides. If you put in the work you will receive a good grade!

Dakarian is a medical doctor who uses his experience with patients to teach the different symptoms, medications and anatomy and physiology of the body. He sometimes talk a little bit too much, but overall, he is a great professor. He is very understanding and cares about his students grades. You won't regret taking his class.

At first he may seem to digress from topics, however his lectures are very interesting and he find sayings, songs, or creative explanations so the students can remember the topics better. One of the most enjoyable bio classes I've taken.

I have took him for Bio 245 and I really enjoyed his class. It was online so attendance wasn't necessary however we had Zoom meeting 3 times a week. He is very organized with material wise and also very easy grader. He is ready to help when you are struggling and his lectures were fun. MUST TAKE HIM AGAIN!

I enjoyed him, he is funny and very very passionate for science and makes it fun. I would highly recommend him to anyone! he deserves a raise!!!!His online class was hard work, but he reviews before the tests and replies fast to emails. All his content makes sense and everything he teaches is on the tests and quizzes.

Professor Charles Dakarian was one of, if not, the best professor at ECC! His lectures were always very interesting and he always made sure his students understood the material. This was a very heavy learning class and as long as you apply yourself Professor Charles is very understanding. Wonderful/enjoyable class!!!

TAKE THIS TEACHER. HE IS AWESOME. Very helpful, & very fun. I had a class Mon & Wed 8:30-10:50am. The class went by quickly though. There is a good balance between lecture and lab, so we were up out of our seats moving a lot. I got an A in Bio 245. Don't take any of the other anatomy teachers. 10/10 would recommend.

Professor Dakarian is honestly one of the best BIO/A&P professors at ECC. He is super understanding and the tests are very much everything he lectures about during the class time. Also, his lecture material is very nicely put for students. I would definitely recommend taking his class for Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2.

Professor Chuck is an amazing professor hes's a caring, funny and helps students during class if they are having trouble learning the material I took him for 245 and 246. "I'm raising monsters" one of the things that stays in my heads while I work my way up to becoming a lab tech.

Amazing!!! Please take him if you can. He is such a great person and teacher. He really wants his students to succeed. It is obvious he is a great teacher, his classes fill up fast, then you get stuck with the not-so-great teachers :( But overall, 10/10 professor.

Dakarian is such a nice and helpful instructor!! he gives very good feedback, asks his students what can he do to better make them understand concepts. Tests are right from the study guide and lectures. He uses his real life stories to help you understand the concepts as well. He gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities.

The class was online so it required a lot more learning on your own, but if you had any questions or needed any help he responded to emails very quickly! I will be taking him again for A&P II. By far, the best professor I've taken! He uses many "in life" examples throughout lectures that will help you understand the subject better. I'm one of those students that struggles with learning anatomy, but his class was so easy and fun to understand. If you're able to take this professor, I suggest you do so!

In all my time in education, this is the first time I have had to rate a professor simply cause he's the best I have had. All I gotta say is take him cause you will learn so much not only from the lectures, but just interesting stuff about the human body.

Took him for 245 and 246, honestly hands down my favorite professor, ever. He would relate to us many times and also would give us study guides and papers that ACTUALLY helped us on the exams! He does activities that make you feel more involved in the class. The tests will be complex if you don't pay attention, so make sure you participate!

Dr. Dakarian is one of those professors that will do everything to make his students learn, but he is somewhat unorganized with his notes and his lectures. If you over see this flaw, he is a great professor that will make you and help you learn if you actually take the time to study the material which is a a lot (of course). He is a fun person tho!

Great teacher! I've taken him twice now and I can confidentially say I have retained more in his class than in any other science class. The bonus is, he's very forgiving and flexible with due dates and grades. The ONLY thing I can speak on that I wish he would change is his organization skills. He is unorganized and doesn't grade stuff on time.

Professor Dakarian is the greatest professor of all time. I'm usually intimidated by doctors in general but he's very approachable. His lectures are hilarious and he uses a lot of mnemonics in order for you to memorize the material. If you pay attention in class, do the homework and study the study guides, you'll get a good grade.

Charles is a great professor and he really cares about his students. There is a lot of coursework but he is very flexible with due dates. He might seem a bit unorganized but the notes and study guides he provides are great for studying, & he always has good examples. He also is great at letting us know exactly what will be in the exams.

His class can come off as overwhelming but he has good intentions. The class i took was hybrid so it moved very fast but he videos are very helpful. the lecture and lab exams are very straight forward, it mostly based on the lecture and some outside material. Very nice dude!

He is the best professor for anatomy no doubt. I took him for Bio 245 and Bio 246. Got A in both classes. As long as you do the work, pay attention in lectures, and study accordingly it should be an easy class. Gives extra credit and is hilarious. Dakarian cares about his students and his job. I would take this experience all over again if I could!

He is a great professor. I had a hard time at first adjusting to his teaching style. He tells lots of stories and did struggle to get everything in needed for our class but it was one day a week verses two like the others. He helps a lot, clear, and I was able to learn a lot. Very understanding as well.

I loved Professor Dakarian's A&P class. His teaching style is disorganized for some but gives freedom to learn our own way. He builds confidence and self-esteem. By semester's end, I'd gained anatomy knowledge and grown as a person thanks to his warmth and care for students. Take his class and you'll walk away better for it.

If this professor taught every subject I would join his class instantly. Anatomy is one of the hardest subjects and I took it online. His D2L page was very organized, he had great lectures and his quizzes/tests were straight to the point. I enjoyed his quizzes/tests. Sometimes he asked "What did you like/dislike?" about his lectures/videos.

By far my favorite professor I have taken at ECC. He is HILARIOUS and you could tell he cares about his students. He wants us to succeed. Exams and quizzes are easy as long as you do the work. He gives a lot of feedback and asks us how we feel about the class! Take him if you ever have the opportunity! I plan on taking him for BIO246! The best!

Makes class fun. Goes off subject at times. Can be disorganized but will get back on track if you remind him. Very thorough at explaining. very approachable and flexible with what students would like. Listens to students. Gives out lots of resources to help with studying. Gives kahoots to practice (helpful). Homework takes a long time.

An awesome professor! Professor Dakarian makes it so fun to learn. His lectures are very engaging and he's very funny too. He explains concepts very well and does a great job at getting students to engage and learn with the models. Offers many resources. He gets off topic at times but ties it back to relevancy. Pay attention and you'll learn a lot.

Dr. Dakarian is by far the BEST anatomy professor, he's very fun and makes it so easy to learn. took his class during the summer and as hard as anatomy is he made it very easy to learn the human body with all his little nemonics and silly quirky ways of pronouncing the parts. 10/10 recommend if you need to take A&P

I have recommended Dr. Dakarian to all of my friends. He is by far my favorite professor. I have learned so much from all of his classes. He is very knowledgeable and makes learning easy and fun. Such a nice professor! Best A&P professor that teaches course material in an understandable method. Definitely recommend him for A&P, you will gain lots of knowledge with his personal examples. Provides lots of practice material in D2L and in lab you will have practice days in which you have a chance to practice and ask questions.

Was a great teacher, on average had to study about 3 hours per unit test. Class is great to ask any questions you may have difficulty with. Cares for his students and offers a lot of extra credit!

I love this professor! I took him for A&P 1 and 2. He cares about his students and actually wants you to pass. He is really funny and makes the class interesting. He provides a lot of information on D2L about the units he teaches and is an excellent instructor. I would recommend him!!

Dakarian truly does care about his class and what he is teaching. He is super funny and makes a lot of jokes and is a very good person. On the other hand, he is very ADHD and can get very sidetracked, making it hard for the learning objectives to be clear and straightforward. His notes are all over the place and don't always make sense.

I LOVE Dakarian! His teaching makes it easier to remember the materials taught through his pronunciations, phrases, songs, drawings, and stories he tells in class. Others may say he gets sidetracked easily, but to me it helped me remember everything better as they're all related to the materials being taught! Plus he's funny!

I took him for Anatomy and Physiology I this summer and I am registered to take Anatomy and Physiology II with him this upcoming semester. He is extremely funny and very engaging, my class was at 8 am in the summer and I didn't miss one of his classes. If you show that you care and actually participate in class, you will do well.

He truly cares about his students and goes out of his way to make connections with them, he's a great professor and person. I would take another class with him if I could.
