I took his class during the winter section. I dont' like him at all even though i got an A. IF u like to study by yourself take his class. 40 percents of the time he is talking about himself. Hate his attitude. His personality sux. Mean to his students.

Professor Daniel is one of the best professors I have had in my studies at SMC. He lets you know on day one that his class is about the business of learning accounting. I am going to have to agree with all the positive posts (and there are far more of the positive than negative). I have never seen a professor who answers as many questions as he. Wow! My friend just showed me this site and I am happy to say that Professor Daniel is one of the best professors I have ever had. His syllabus is detailed - eight pages. He covers a lot of material and is always helpful and fully available to students. I know that he works really hard for his students and truly cares about them being successful.

Amazing teacher. If you need help he's there for you, stays after class and answers all your questions. He will not stop till you get your answer. His grading is fair and he tries to bring the exam the next class. His class isn't easy but at least at the end of the semester you know that your learned some material and you're ready for the next level. If you take him be prepared to do a lot of work. One of the best professors I've had. He's not the easiest, but certainly is real and knows the material extremely well. Gives real world examples, provides 'out-of-the-box' ways of looking at things, and the class is fun. Take Prof. Daniel if you want to actually to use your brain and learn a thing or two. Take this professor!! He always is available to assist students. Professor Daniel would meet with us prior to class and go over again and again points that a number of us were confused over. If you really want to learn take Professor Daniel. One day he stayed after class for about an hour explaining material to several of my friends and I. He went over the same explanations several different ways, until we got it. I am so very impressed with him as both a professor and human being. He fully represents all that SMC should be.

Whether you like him or not to me is immaterial. You go to class to get a real concept of acct and he does that with excellence. He demystify acct II for me. He makes what seems really hard understandable. BTW he's a nice guy and I don't know where he gets his energy. He is one of the best prof that I've had the honor of being taught by.

Daniel is completely clear about the schedule of the class. Participation is a factor in your grade. He encourages asking questions. If you do what he says, you will learn the material. My only criticism is that sometimes curious students will ask questions that take us off the path of the material, some are entertaining.

Clear about Schedule - Yes. Disciplined - Yes. This is a Summer class and from day one the professor tells us that it moves fast. The class meets for almost four hours each day and is a six week course. I am friends with the person who left the two negative comments below and they are mad that they are failing the course. This is a GREAT professor.

He covers the material thoroughly and holds you accountable for studying and doing the homework. I also know the one person who left the two below negative comments. They are angry because of their lack of performance within the class. How sad to use negative comments again a great professor. I feel very fortunate to have him as my professor.

This is by no means an easy class. Be prepared to put in a lot of time, but also to learn a great deal. That's why I took him from acc 1+2. Detailed syllabus, 3 test w/ mc/free response and final, attendance is very important, as well as participation, and the book is a must. Very detailed eight (8) page syllabus provided on first day of class. He goes over each item on the syllabus and you should read it and listen to what he is saying. Yes, he is always late, and he is hard, but I loved him! I like discipline and teachers who are straight to the point. I participated every single class, got D on the first exam, F on the second, B on the third, and ? on the final. My final grade is C, and I am happy. The teacher is very good. He is very well educated. He wants students to learn the actual material and not just pass the class. The teacher goes through the material thoroughly and in great detail. He both organizes and manages the class in a way that is best for students learning and growth. The teacher is recommended if you really want to learn.

He is good professor but his due dates are ridiculous. Discussions are by Wednesday, homework is by Saturday and quiz is by Sunday. Here is the main thing, the midterm is on Saturday between 7-pm only and this Saturday is Easter. He doesn't care if people have their own life and someones can not make at this day and time.

I really like how this online class is very well laid out and organized. The professor gives us all of the dates and times for everything at the start of the semester. He caught my friend cheating. Yes, in an online class. My friend cheats in online classes and it’s not fair. Professor Daniel caught him with what he told my friend were audit techniques and laid it out piece by piece. Is a serious class. This professor puts up with no drama and you will not get your way. I must say that this Accounting 2 course with Professor Daniel is by far the most coherent and carefully planned out online class I have taken at SMC. His class is making me step up my academic game. I have been in multiple online classes and professor Daniel has organized and runs this class at a professional level that is great. He is always updating the class with information. I was pleasantly surprised with the grade I received. This is a tough class that requires a lot of (warranted) work. I found the tests to be very difficult, but I put a lot of work into the discussions, homework, and my reading. Do the work, read, and review. This class required a lot of attention, but I am happy with the outcome.

Its all good. This class is the one. I just finished the final a couple days ago and my grade is all good. Hard work and organized class made it worth my time. Good professor. Much content and very much work. Lots of notes. Assignments due every week keeps you on point. Major good throughout this class. If you want to learn, this class is the one.

The class is very organized. You know what to expect each week and what's due on the same day every week. Weekly timed quizzes . Final exam- 50 questions with 3 hr time limit. There is no extra credit available and professor won't give you any exceptions. I was surprised with my grade but worked hard to get it.

I am in Professor Daniel online class and it pushes me to do better because it is a great learning experience and yes, I must actually study and learn the material. He provides lots of information and expects students to get with the program. He lays out the class in a detailed class syllabus and sticks to it. I am working very hard and loving it.

I am glad that I took this class. It is well prepared and has lots of info and assignments. I had to work very hard to do all of the assignments. This professor has laid out the course in a clear syllabus with ongoing assignments each week. I was made to stay up with this course and learned much about both accounting and myself. Really good class with clear expectations laid out the first day. There are assignments that are due almost each day and the professor makes it clear that you must do all the work. He provides lots of information and a clear detailed schedule. Lots of very hard work and one truly learns accounting with Professor Daniel. Great learning experience!!

As a working student with a family, I love both the professionalism and no drama of this professor. There are multiple assignments due each week and just like at my job, professor Daniel sticks with the due dates. This is a very heavy work load course where the professor provides a lot of study info. I have learned a lot. GREAT college level class.

Things that I have done in other online courses and gotten away with do not work in this class. Professor Daniel is on it and he takes this class serious. I have had to work harder and more honestly than I ever have had to do so in an online class. He is serious about this class and the class is laid out on point and he sticks to the laid out plan.

Amazing class and professor. I really appreciate his level of structure and order. There are multiple assignments due each week. This helps me to stay up on the work. He grades my discussion answers in a timely manner and gets them back to me. This class is a lot of work and I do see where I am learning. The professor has put together an A++ class.

I like this class. Professor Daniel is very detailed oriented and matter of fact and has all pieces of this class together. It is a very heavy work load and I am having to stay up with all of the work and due dates. He is always sending out updates and has responded to me promptly. I really like the quick feedback and professionalism of this class.

I am currently in Professor Daniel class and find that his style of laying things out with high expectations and amazing order and structure works very well. I work a lot on this class and have learned so much. I cannot fall behind or it will be all over. I keep up and do as he says to really learn.

Just finished Professor Daniel's course last night and this is the most organized online class that I have ever been in. As an adult student paying for my education, I like that Professor Daniel values my time by giving me a truly high quality class. I had to work very hard to meet the high standards of this class and will FOREVER value this class.

Online classes are supposed to be quality with standards and as a student who is a working adult with children and family responsibility, I am very thankful for this professor and class where everything has been highly organized, informed and structured from day one. This is an 8 week summer class and he set and sticks with dates. Excellent class!!

This is a great online class for me as a single parent who works full-time. Very structured with rules laid out and followed. I am so tired of spoiled students who cannot follow directions and are mad they cannot bully this professor to change things to what they want. Shocking that you actually have to work for a good grade (insert sarcasm emoji).

Great online class to really learn college level Accounting in. It has been a semester of hard work and I am glad to say that I made it through. The very organized and strict structure of this class keep me focused and allowed me to do better than I otherwise would have. This class with Professor Charles Daniel has made me a much better student.

Keeping it real, the dates are the dates. This class has a lot of information and required work and the professor sticks with the extensive plan that he provides on the first day of class. The syllabus is long and everything in there he means. I liked being in this class with a very strong professor, no drama, professional and dates were the dates.

Professor Daniel has been very clear and responsive to me throughout the class. Compared to my other classes this one does take more focus and work. The class expectations are clearly laid out and the work must be done. Each week there are multiple assignments and exam. I took this class for spring 2021 as a fully online course. This class was very simple. It required little effort. There is lots of homework, around 5 hours a week, but you get 3 chances on making sure the answer is correct. Discussion posts feel very repetitive. Overall this class is perfect if you're looking for an effortless A.

This class with Dr. Daniel pushed me to work toward my dream of learning accounting and transferring to a university and majoring in accounting. Of all the online classes that I have taken, this one was the most structured and focused. That helped me to stay focused. Dr. Daniel laid out the course in a way that helped me, so this is a great class.

Just finished this course and Dr. Daniel is on it when it comes to knowing and teaching accounting. He is always responsive and you have to study because he teaches this course like a real college level course and that is what it is supposed to be. I thank him for that and say if you want a really great put together class, this is the one for you.

This class has everything laid out from the first day of class. There are no surprises regarding the hard work and expectations. I like that Dr. Daniel gives you a detailed task calendar on the first day that maps out the assignments and time due. And yes, he sticks with the time due. No excuses and no drama. This class has worked me hard like I was at the gym and like at the gym I am leaving this class feeling much better than before I started. Also like at the gym, you get the most out of it when you are willing to work hard. Dr. Daniel has put together a great class and really demands the best out of you. Dr. Daniel's class has a strictly structured schedule that makes independent study easy to follow along. Chance to fall behind in this class because of the heavy workload. I worked hard to earn my grade for ACCTG1, and will be taking his ACCTG 2 course next!

This Accounting class by Dr. Daniel is one of the hardest, but it is also one of the most thorough college classes that I have taken. He does not cut corners. Every topic is covered in detail, which requires a lot of work and pays off in the end. His teaching style is straightforward and no-nonsense. I very strongly recommend for serious students.

Dr. Daniel runs a rigorous online accounting course. The workload is very heavy, especially if you fall behind. It is not a “watch videos and pass” class. That said, the course is well structured, and the professor presents concepts clearly and thoroughly. If you're willing to put in serious effort, you'll come out much stronger in accounting.
