He's the man for an introductory class of theater. The class is interesting, and if you have difficulties, just ask the professor, he will help.

Easy A. its hard not to get an a. Likes to show pics on the comp.

Very easy. Gives 7 (15 questions multiple choice) very easy quizes, can use notes. Have to watch only 1 play + write play report, book review and film review. Have to read a lot, but nothing to memorize. Very easy grader. No midterm, no final.

he is the best prof, he's any easy grader, if you do the work the class will be a breeze. You just have to review the def before class and you'll get an A. Easiest prof ever and he's also nice.

this class was so easy!! a quiz a week, 7 quizes, 15 mult. choice q's each. highest possible score from the quizes are 105 total. i got a 104. write a book review, a film review, and a play review (each just 3 pages long). one of the best ppl to take for intro classes cuz he knows his stuff. if you can't understand him, it's definitely you.

dont listen to the person about getting up and performing.. this class is registered for some program where you have to give a small presentation at the beginning and end of the semester but you're not graded! the class is easy, the professor is cool, easy to talk to, and fun

Really nice person. 7 easy quizes, couple of easy 2-pages papers(just say what you think about the subject he asks), one presentation. Easy grader. just be polite and nice.

Very interesting lectures, supports with a lot of visuals, also 6 quizzes (all multiple choice), 3 papers.. and they are sooo easy. He made the class very enjoyable.

Professor D is very passionate about theatre. His sense of humor helps convey his messages. Review sheets are provided, and he is very thorough about what he expects from you. He always returns quizzes and papers on a timely manner. He's very understanding and makes learning about theatre enjoyable.

You must take him!! So easy class!!! And he is an excelent Professor that i ever seen. And he is also a good actor.... I really enjoy his class!

Professor D. is a so nice person. He give 7 quizes, but he give u Key Terms. Just remember key terms u wil get A. He also ask 3 paper, but they are easy. Just write down what u think. He is a easy grader. He want to make u interest in Theatre. Highly RECOMMEND!!!

Very interesting and informative. You learn a lot about the theatre history and play production. any questions about the magic world of theatre will have answers. 7 quizes w/study guide, 3 papers, 2 in-class reports, what else to do? The class is the easiest I've ever had in Baruch.

Awesome Prof. Took him for saturday class and enjoyed it. Quiz every class, but he gives you the terms to look up and they are very straighforward. Great intro class for theatre. Highly recommend.

The guy loves to talk and this is what makes his class fun and exiciting. Quizzez & papers are really easy, he will actually go over the quiz before class so you will know what to expect on quizzez. He just wants students to do well in class and learn something from class. Take him and you will enjoy your time in his class. Good Luck!!

Cares about students learning the subject matter. Great personality. Loves what he does and get you contagious. Great class for Saturdays, incredibly nobody missed a class during the whole semester. Theater should be a requirement instead of an elective class. EXCELLENT PROFESSOR

The best summer class I've ever taken before.

He's a really cool Professor. He gave us the terms to study for quizzes WITH the page number they're on. Projects are numerous but each one is easy. We had a class visit to the library and had to go watch a play.

He's THE BEST! VERY easy class. One of the easiest As I've ever gotten. If you want an easy class where you can just relax...TAKE HIM! quizzes which are easy! and he gives answers too sometimes. no hw. a written assignment done in 15 minutes. a presentation which he gives you an A for just standing up there. i LOVE HIM!!!

Awesome Professor. Absolute genius in his field. only quizzes. if you are looking for an elective, take him. if you are not, take him anyways. you will miss out on a truly great class and professor otherwise.

Super easy "A"!! Very easy class. 7 quizzes but he give the pages to read in the book. Book is not needed, you can borrow it in the library for 2 hours before the quiz and prepare. Assignments are easy and graded "A"! :) WE needed to see one play. The professor is nice and the class is the easiest ever!!!

This professor understands his students. He is a real entertainer that make the course interesting. There were 6 quizzes that the professor give in advance to prepare. It is your responsibility to do the work and memorize for the exam. It is an Easy A. Take the Theater 3042!!!

7 quizzes, no midterm, no final, 3-4 papers(easy to moderate). Gives you terms to study for each quiz. All you have to do is familiarize with the term and you'll get 100% on the quiz, not hard at all. Possibly the easiest professor there is in Baruch.

This is the easiest class I ever took in College! Quizzes and papers are super easy. Professor Dietrich is amusing and very nice. But be sure to come to class on time. If you can't get an A, you need to see a doctor.

PROFESSOR DIETRICH IS THE BEST! He is so nice and understanding and he is really passionate about what he is teaching. Although the topics he is teaching can be boring he makes them very interesting. His lectures are fun and interactive. He gives seven easy quizzes and three assignments. Youll do great in this class! He does not like absences!

Professor Dietrich's class was great, but it dragged on because it was Saturday and I was tired. He made the best of a not so great situation though. Easy quizzes, fair papers, and a great attitude unless you got on his bad side or don't follow instructions. I would take him again if I could.

Great experience. Interesting material and very entertaining. Very open about the things he wants from the students. Helpful and resourceful. If you're lucky you might even get free tickets for some musicals. Take him!

I took Prof.'s summer class and it was so boring only because he loved stalling talking about himself too much. There aren't really much participation involved. He used pictures opposed to PowerPoints and usually showed videos. The quizzes were pretty decent. Look everything up on google or simply ask him. Easy A as long as you do what he asks.

Semester is graded on 7 short quizzes and 4 short written assignments. If you hand in the paper on time/follow directions, you will get an A. He supplies review sheets for all the quizzes and they are not cumulative. The class was general theater history but he doesn't expect you to remember dates. Would take again.

Professor Dietrich is the best! Just attend the lectures, follow his instructions on the assignments and you will be fine. He cares for his students.

His sole intention is to inspire students to appreciate the art of theatre. He gives 7 quizzes throughout the semester, with the dates on the syllabus and they are mirrored on the study sheets he provides weeks in advance. Also class attendance and a group attendance to a play followed by a presentation (2-3 mins per person) is required.

Show up and get an A. Just do what you're told and that's it. There are quizzes every class but the quizzes are so easy as long as you study for like 30 minutes before the class. He always extends the time we start the quizzes because he waits until most people show up.

Quiz every week, but you only show up once a week. Very easy. Not much homework and not a hard grader. Only a few papers throughout the year about a few articles he'll send you throughout the year. He gets in touch with you through email, so make sure to constantly check. One group project at the end of the year. Can't choose who you want to be w/.

Easy 100 if you spend 5 sec skim thru vocab list. He showed great enthusiasm towards the topic which is super appealing. His little stories on experience of travelling and theaters are great. Definitely recommend him for everyone who wants to enjoy the class, do minimal work and get easy A. Love this class. HE IS THE BEST.

Easiest professor ever! I am taking him now. At first, you might think its a lot of work but it's not. It's an easy A professor. Don't take someone else:) Plus you get to know about theater and watch a play of your choice!

Professor D is such an awesome instructor. He is very passionate about his work. Has a great personality. Heavy Lectures but his quizzes and reports are fair and if you do what he instructs you'll get an easy A. Was able to transitioned welled into doing online 2020(Covid). Prof D is one of the best professors in Baruch. It may seem like alot at first but it really isn't. He supplies review sheets for the quizzes and is clear with what he wants for the papers. He is so passionate about theater and it makes the class more interesting. Definitely take him if you're willing to come to Baruch on a Saturday.

His lecture is like watching a well-written play. There was a quiz every week and two papers during the semester. If you read his guidelines and do everything, you will definitely receive an A.

One of Baruch's gems. He inspired me to change my minor to theatre because of how great this class was. Online asynchronous, though it's listed as synchronous. He posts lectures in both written and video form depending on what you prefer. 10 easy quizzes and several fun, easy written assignments. A charming and inspiring man, please take him.

An amazing professor. 100% recommend. His class was online due to the pandemic. It is listed as synchronous but he just emails videos of the lectures so you can really watch them when you want. There are 10 easy quizzes based on the lectures and 3 easy papers. Its an easy A if you just pay attention and do the work on time.

Professor Dietrich is awesome. He responds to email very quickly. 3 papers and weekly quizzes based on his lectures. Quite unfortunate he only teaches one class. :c would 100% take him again!

You have to show up but you can show up late. Very lenient grading on the two papers and the two papers should take like 10 min each. The "final" is a presentation and if you present that part is a A. Quizzes are easy and if you aren't smart easy to cheat on it cuz the quizzes are online.

Best professor at Baruch! Very knowledgeable of the world of theatre. I took his class as a finance major and he was phenomenal.

Trust me, if you want to have a good class for a semester, take him. You won't regret it, if only other professors were like him.

BEST THEATRE PROFESSOR IN BARUCH!!!!! The easiest college class I have taken in my lifetime. Only downside is that the class was on Saturdays.

Strict in attendance & no device policy. If you're open to sitting with no device for a three hour lecture, this class is for you. Easy grader as long as you turn in work on time. A lot of reviews I've seen are from his online class. In person isn't as easy. So beware, but he's nice if you follow his rules. He has a big ego(his words not mine)

Simple quizzes, papers, and group presentations are manageable as long as you have reliable group members. The only downside to this class is that it lasts three hours on a Saturday morning, has mandatory attendance, and no devices allowed.

I registered for his class very last minute, and it is the best decision I made! He is hilarious! His quizzes are easy. He also sends out a study guide a week prior so if you apply yourself, you will get an A. If you enjoy history, films, screenplays, literature, and world events, you will definitely enjoy his class. There's never a dull moment!

I took this theatre class on saturdays as a 3 hour lecture but it went by pretty fast each time. He gives you a little break in between too to go and grab. Small quiz every week from what he teaches in the previous lecture day. A few easy papers but he's very passionate about what he teaches. It was a delight to take his class.
