Great Teacher, makes the entire ecperience fun, but there will be times when you must speak in front of other, may be difficult for non-theatre persons, but is still highly reccomended

Great teacher, really fun class. But he grades difficult.

Very fun, helpful, lively lectures, you actually learn something but he grades difficult, and demands alot. Reccomended but dont take him lightly.

charles is AWESOME!! if you are nervous about speech, TAKE HIM! he will make you feel like you can talk in front of millions. he is very humble and makes you feel very at home. you will not want to drop or even miss a single class!

I took Charles for Acting I and Acting II, he is by far the best Acting teacher at San Antonio College, possibly even in the city. Beware, if you are taking his Acting II, his expectations are very high; this coming from a Drama Major whose done 6 shows at SAC.

Charles is an AWESOME teacher. Really enjoys his work, has a very lively attitude. Extremely helpful. WANTS you to call him "Charles" instead of "Mr. Falcon" He gets to know each of his student's names generally by the first day of class. I thought the tests were easy as long as you show up for clas

Charles is an awesome teacher, really enjoys what he does..he's very clear and full of energy. Sometimes it felt that I was in like an ethics class rather than theatre though, especially in talking about morality issues in theatre. He's really really fair though. TAKE HIM!!

if you hate talking in front of people this class is for you.Unlike other instructors he wait's a little longer before he assign the fist speech.he makes you feel relax when you are in his class,if you don't know what topics to talk about he's willing to help,and if you think your outline is not right he'll guide you through it.

Charles is an awesome teacher, he is very entusistic, no a boring moment in his class, the work load is fair and he likes you to present a quality work, he is a great human being and care for his students. Take him, you will love this funny, kind, handsome, and generous teacher.

Charles has incredible energy, talent, and enthusiasm every time you meet him for class. As someone else mentioned, anyone in his Acting II (1352) class has to meet VERY stringent expectations (myself a Drama major in 3 productions). Take his 1351 for Method acting (and Paula Rodriguez's 1351 to achieve non-passivity).

Charles is a great teacher, very honest about everything. He'll tell you, point blank, if you need to quit acting right now. But that's good. And he will always give you a challenge!

I'm a Sign Language Interpreter major and this class is required for our degree. I was scared to death!! One thing about Charles is that if you do your work, always try and do your best, you can't fail! He is fair, gives lots of opportunities and help to get your work done. This class is very fun. I didn't think I could do it and I did it!!

I really did not want to take this class but he was one of the best teachers I have ever had!!! He made the class so interesting and always was happy to see the class, I skipped alot of classes but never Charles class!!! BEST EVER!!!!

Get ready to have fun, and maybe a little finger snapping..GRRRRLLL! He makes you feel at ease on the stage and will help you grow. Forget about acting, you will learn something about yourself.

Charles goes beyond teaching material. He teaches you things you will need in life. He teaches self confidence, self esteem, and he does it all with great energy and a great sense of humor. If you are homophobic this may not be the instructor for you. No, wait, on second thought, maybe you SHOULD take him. He may teach you a few things.

He is very nice and is always tring to make his students feel comfortable and at ease especially when its time to give a speech. total of 3 short speeches and 3 exams and if your passing with a good grade he exempts you from the last speech. I would recommend him for all of the nervous 1st time speakers like me!

They don't give you enough space to say all the great things about Charles. I've taken him for speech and theatre and I really feel like I've made a friend. Finally a professor who understands. He gave me enough confidence to get up in a room full of mostly straight people and do a speech on transgender/**** issues, cuz that's what I am. A++

Charles is great! He's fun and easy to get along. He doesn't ask much of you, other than to show up on time and be prepared. Good teacher.

Mr. Falcon was a great acting teacher. Sometimes I went to class never knowing what we were going to do exactly. I'm a spontaneous person so it was always a cool class! I can't wait for Acting 2.

I love Charles!!! I had a blast in this class, and learned more that I ever thought was possible! I have always loved theater, but Charles taught me a whole new love and respect!! We became good friends, and Im gonna miss him like crazy!

He is an awsome teacher, very easy, his tests are a little hard, he prepares you good for each of the speaches (try to be one of the 1st ones he tends to go easy),AND if you go to class every day he will give you 5 extra points added to your FINAL AVERAGE!!!!

Mr. Falcon is a wonderful instructor. He brings out the best in his students. If you follow the syllabus and pay attention there is no reason why you can't earn an A. He doesn't GIVE A's you have to earn them and you can.

a total blast, but takes his job seriously. i learned more than i expected. unfortunately, i had him for speech in the short summer semester. i hope i can take him for another class.

Mr. Falcon is a very organized professor and is willing to help his students at any time. He gives you enough time to organize your speech but expects them to be well-prepared. Don't go into this class thinking you can slack off.

Mr. Falcon is awesome. He is a very friendly guy, and he cares a lot about his students. He develops a wonderful relationship with the entire class, and you can tell he loves doing what he does. Show up to class a lot, try a little bit, and you got a B, maybe an A.

Charles was great! I had a fear of speech class and took so long to take it and I'm so glad he was my prof. I learned speech isn't just about giving speeches. He brought the whole class together with humor which made me a less nervous. I still can't just give a speech without shaking a bit, but I'm closer to getting over the fear. Thanks Charles!

charles is such a great teacher. if he taught another class i would be the first one to sign up. he makes the class fun and interesting. i had an 8:00am class and he shows up a few minutes late so you can be on time. hes very funny! i highly recommend him!

I took his intro to Drama class, I loved it. His questions come from his notes, but most are common sense he reviews before the test and gives review sheets, do them 95% of the test is there, he has several essays due throughout the semester but if you get involved in the drama productions and are listed in the program you don't have to do them.

he looks like george lopez. Attendence is mandatory if not he will drop u after the 3rd one,he will take off points.told us we had 3 major speeches but then he only made us do 2 [ informative and persuasive]if you do bad on one he lets you do the 3rd speech for a better grade. I recommend him!!!

Take it during the summer much better!!!.. Takes of one of the 3 major speechs.. Test are simple all you have to do is take notes.. I neveer bought the book i just checked it out from the libaray. He is the best and gives u good contstructive critisism :)

I had him for Introduction to the Theatre, and loved him... he was patient and gave us extra time to turn in our work! Very funny and kept the class interesting. I can now stare someone down easily:)

He is a great instructor, creates a good atmosphere. Major parts of grades come from plays and outside class work. there will be tests, but he constantly reminds the class of due dates. great class, great teacher.

I <3 THIS CLASS. i took summer 1 and it was like so easy. we only did 2 speeaches {informative && persuasive}. and the mid-term && final. he is very helpful wit the speeches && gives u his input. USE VISIUAL. he also gives reviews b4 da mid term && final wit all da info. he is very funny and makes class intresting. i highly recomend everyone to tak

Charles is a great teacher but he does talk A LOT! really didn't get much out of this class. just a B! and this is my major! was very disappointed with that B but oh well!

Seriously..the most awesome professor EVER! I always looked forward to his 9am class. He makes you feel very comfy when your terrified of public speaking. You got to work for your grade by the way. The textbook was mandatory. I recommend him to everyone!

I was scared of speeches!!! Not anymore! Thanks to mr falcon. He is awesome, develops a close relationship with the most closed off students. He really is good at what he does. Took him in the summer and didn't want to leave almost cried :( he is great yet he grades pretty hard. I thought I was gonna get an A for sure because I got high grades on everything and only missed one day but I got a B.....his grading system is kind of out of whack but I did learn alot. Take him you will not regret it!

Great professor, took him during summer and the only thing that I regret is not taking a full semester class with him. Constantly keeps students entertained, I did get a lot out of his class. At first I was scared of public speaking, but towards the end of the semester I started to gain confidence. I was able to make an A in this class.

Mr. Falcon is one of the most caring professors I have ever met. He gives you a survey in the beginning, and I ended up with an 89, which is -abnormally- apprehensive toward public speaking. No other speech class has helped me. Take him! You won't regret it. I literally felt like family in this class. I'll never forget him or my classmates.

Charles is my favorite professor, by far. And yes, he WANTS us to call him Charles. He's hilarious and is beyond chill, practically acts like one of the students, and he makes even the most boring class (Public Speaking) really fun! He's extremely helpful, open and such a sweet person. He will do everything in his will to help you succeed!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! I thought this was going to be a blow off class, but it wasn't! I cannot believe how much I have learned from Charles Falcon. He was a nice teacher and was really fun. His tests on the other hand were a little challenging so make sure you study your notes and read the book. Also, be sure to know what you are talking about when you are doing your speech or be prepared to face some deductions. One more thing, make friends/be friendly for group projects too.

This man is amazing!!! If you want to go to class and have the best laugh ever take him! He makes class so enjoyable. If your usually nervous when speaking in front of the class take him, he makes you comfortable with the class. I'm really glad I took him, and I'll never forget him and his silliness!!!!

Charles Falcon is in one word...FABULOUS!!! I am a non native English speaker. I taking the class in maymester, and the professor is amazing, helpful, and funny. He gives a quiz review; the quizes are easy. He let you choose the topic of your speech. 3 speeches, the first one is a group speech. He gives extra credit points opportunities. He explains everything clearly. I highly recommend him

This was such an amazing class! He is HILARIOUS and so very engaging- you'll be entertained the whole time . He is just SUCH A SWEETHEART! Super lenient, his quiz reviews are very clear on what will be in the exam, speeches are easy to do since he lets you choose your topic on the persuasive and informational speeches. Very high quality professor!

Prof. Falcon is one of those awesome professors that can engage an entire class day after day. He truly loves teaching and excites his students w/ his enthusiasm. He gives reviews over upcoming exams, his feedback on someone's speech is constructive,and he is super nice. Overall, the only issue I had was that I only had him for a summer session!

He was made to teach this course, he puts serious thought and planning in to every part of his syllabus (EX: he analyzes his students & assigns groups based on personalities and strengths & assigns the group speech 1st to ease everyone into speaking in front of the class.) A hilarious teacher. He is very helpful in his speech class. Granted it can be difficult but he shows you how to earn your grade. I highly recommend him to EVERYONE!

Charles is a great profesor, Three presentations, 2 exams and the final.

He posts all you need online. You only really have a handful of assignments and he reviews you daily. A fun speech class especially if you're afraid to take this.

Mr. Falcon in an amazing human being. His happiness is infectious and engaging, he slips learning into what feels like just conversation! His activities are fun, I always looked forward to class. He grades presentations fairly and (I believe) takes personality into account when doing so. I use his communication teachings to this day.

He is an amazing professor if you love speaking your mind I would suggest taking his class. He gives you confidence and a great self -esteem boost mostly because he is so funny that I would take him again! You have to do presentations up in class and believe me he will inspire you to do great and if there are contests he push you to do your best.

Charles is so enthusiastic and very flamboyant, I took him for Acting II. He's got a big personality and will be completely honest with you about your performances. He expects you to perform opening night material for each performance. He's very willing to lend you props and costumes. If you want an A do extra credit, he gives you plenty of chances

Very tough grading on the speeches. 2 quizzes, final, 1 group speech, 1 informative and 1 persuasive. you need the book to review for the quizzes and final. other than that, you don't need it. Seems uninterested in students, some get more feedback than others. Always talks about leaving, I don't think he likes being a professor.

He is seriously the BEST PROFESSOR EVER !!! I LITERALLY HAD A "C" AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER BUT I ATTENDED THEATURE PLAYS AND HE OFFERED ME 25 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS I PASSED HIS CLASS WITH A "B" SERIOUSLEY THE EASIEST CLASS EVER . I WAS LATE EVERY DAY BUT I DID SHOW UP SO HE SAID" I WAS A GOOD STUDENT AND MADE AN EFFORT" . LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM !!!!!!

He is respected by all of his students . Great Heart . He is GAY. but that makes him who he is . He will help you with anything . Allot of extra credit opportunities . 1 group speech and 2 individual speeches . 2 quizzes and 1 final ! but he gives you the Review on Aces for the quizzes and final . If you get below a "B" your just dumb.

2 Thumbs Up!! I enjoyed every minute of class and he really helped me structure my presentations. Not a boring minute in class! Ask for help and you will get it. Extra Credit is also offered by going to a few simple hour-long workshops which were very helpful and a play the school puts on! Would totally sing up for this professor again and again.

TAKE THIS COURSE! Charles is very funny, outgoing and really helps you understand speech. I had his class early in the mornings (8am) and it was the best start to my day. He makes speaking fun and he understands that most people do not like public speaking, you get to choose your own speech topics which made this course SO much easier for me!

Attendance is mandatory the day your speech is assigned, the sign up day for your speech and the day you present your speech. Other than that, attendance does not affect your grade, but keep in mind he will think you are taking advantage and it will start counting against you. I recommend going as often as possible. Very respectable professor.

Charles is an excellent teacher! His lectures are hilarious and he creates a non judgmental environment for the speeches. If you pay attention, it is clear how he expects the speeches to be presented. Reading is required for quizzes but he offers tons of extra credit and is always willing to work with the students. I loved his class!

Charles is the best Professor I've ever had. Only 2 tests for the semester, fun group projects and he has a personality that keeps the class fun! He gives so many extra credit opportunities. Impossible to fail his class. You do use the book occasionally but his lectures are more then enough in my opinion.

I loved Charles! I was nervous about speeches but he makes it all very doable and gives great feedback. He is always there if you have any questions and his lectures are never boring. This was my favorite professor this semester. Probably my favorite SAC professor ever. He is hilarious and is always in the nicest moods, even early in the morning. You will be doing 2 speeches and he gives you a clear outline on what he wants from you. If you don't follow his instructions, he will call you out. Take this class! You won't regret it

Took an online intro to Drama Class- it was super easy and well laid out. Definitely used the textbook so be sure to purchase it.

Mr. Charles was great as a professor. He was very encouraging and offered great constructive criticism. This guy is hilarious and easily eased the tension that I felt about taking a public speaking class. Gives solid feedback, gives great lectures and makes the class interesting. Knows what suits each student best and works with everyone in the class. Cares a lot about his students and is easy to get to know, very friendly and knows if you do the work. Provides extra credit, and has one of the best organized classes ever. Passionate and fun!

Read then Test!! one outside activity is to see a drama play. Unfortunately, the book is kind of dry; but the discussion questions are interesting.

He is a good teacher, gives good critique, be prepared to have an excellent speech / rehearse , otherwise he'll gladly bluntly tell you how bad it is (in a good way). exams are pretty good, just take notes & read the book or at least skim through it and get a general idea. Would take him again if i could ! he is caring and very funny too!

Professor Charles is amazing! Ive never taken a drama class before this one, but this was a great class. It helped me become confident. Although it was a requirement for my major and I was iffy at first, I loved the class. Hes funny and very understanding if may have things come up. Gives great feedback and shows you your true potential!

I took his 3 week wintermester course and did just fine. He was a great professor. All you had to do was read the chapters and take the quizzes, with a couple of papers and discussions thrown into the mix.
