Very good professor. Taught well and explained things well. Definitely the best teacher I have had in accounting. I took him 3 semesters ago and have been through other accounting classes. He isn't the easiest professor, but definitely knows his stuff

One of the best teachers I have had. The class is hard but pay attention and do your work and you can get an A in the class. I'd rather have a teacher who knows what he is teaching and earn the grade than have an A given to me and not know anything if you take ACCT 202

u have to take him, acc without him is worthless. A from 80, just homework and 4 test, finals not compulsory, no attendance, candies during test, but u have to study all the questions in the book or u'll fail. take him if u can. yari yari yari. easy A is u work hard to earn it.

Hmmm..He's actually not bad. His tests are based on the Homework, and one problem comes directly from the assigned problems in the book. A starts from 80, quizzes every week though (bummer) but on the whole, martin aint a bad chap. Tons of work but not bad at all....

Accounting is a hard class regardless of who the teacher is. I have never spent thirty minutes on any of his problems and the tests arent that bad. His curves bump your grade up a whole letter. What more could you ask for.

What are these people complaining about? I think he is one of the best accounting teachers in the department. Do the exercises at the end of each chapter over and over again, which he gives you the answers to, and you'll be fine. He's not hard.

Surprisingly not a hard class. Just come to class listen and read the book. Do all the problems he assigns and the tests wont be that bad. I definently didnt do any of the problems until two before a test and got a high A. he teaches well and explains you just have to listen. I would take him again. too bad he doesnt teach acct 202.

This professor is great! All you need to do are the assigned practice problems and you'll understand everything that's on the test! It's a very straight forward class, he teaches exactly what is going to be on the test! I recommend him to Everyone.

Do the problems, do the problems, do the problems. He is very clear about what will be on the exams. He gives you the option to opt out of the final if you do well on the first three exams. And finally, do the problems.

If you have to take acct, take him! It's a hard class by itself but he makes it fun and lightens it up a bit. If you come to class, pay attention and do the easy practice probelms, you will be fine. I studied the morning of the tests and still did great. Kind of a stickler on grading so make sure you know your sutff. Great curve, great acct teacher

He's a good teacher overall, but his tests are tough. He's all about you knowing the methods behind every problem, so with that said, the exam problems are much different than the practice problems. Study, Study, Study and you should be able to get atleast a C.

Class is not for lazy students...dont take if you dont plan on doing work...If ur not lazy you will get an easy A.

Tough subject material but Martin is a great teacher and wants students to succeed. Must study, 5 exams (including the final) but only counts 4. Definetly recommended!

He works through problems in class, makes answers available online for out of class work, answers questions, makes jokes to keep you going because he knows the material can be dry, and he tells you exactly what he expects you to know on the test. Like he says, work the problems and you'll a good grade for sure. I'm going to look for him again.

material is hard but use book and notes and do practice problems...im a bs student myself but got a B...not afraid to laugh in your face so dont take it personal...

Brutal grader. Half my class is failing and they are grad students.If you like your GPA, don't take him.

I took the online course with the in-class portion. He knows his stuff. He is funny and helpful. Laid out the course expectations so you can see how you are doing. Tests are not cumulative and as long as you work the online homework, which you can take as many times as you want until you get 100%, and do decent on quizzes and test, should be ok

One of my favorite teachers, helped you as long as you ask. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! the tests are just like the homework problems!

I took it online over the Minimester and thought it was going to be really hard but it wasn't. The book has narrated slides online that explain everything and the homework takes work but it's not bad because the computer can check your work and tell you have is wrong before you turn it in.

I took the online version. The homework was very tedious, but easy b/c the steps to find the answers were given (in the answers document). The tests were kind of hard. If you are looking for help on HW, don't bother. He just tells you to re-read.

He is so helpful! Not afraid to call you out though, so you should prob attend class (not mandatory) so you know what he is talking about when he randomly asks you a question. tests are online and very similar to the online practice MC quizzes. curved the class by a whole letter grade..was dreading this class but turned out to be an easy A

I HATE accounting, and he was able to portray the information in a way that was clear to me. His tests are hard if you don't study. The connect problems are annoying but they REALLY boost your grade. Takes off points for missing class, no excuses. Overall, had a good experience and I would take him again if i needed any more accounting classes.

I take this course online. He almost taught nothing, just assigned homework and discussion board according to syllabus. You have to learn everything by yourself. Assignments are easy but cost much time, 5-8 hours/week would guarantee an A.

He taught in a very specific way. Explains why things were a certain way which was helpful. Homework helps. He likes to pick on students that he thinks don't know the answers, but explains why your answers are wrong. You MUST study for his tests they are computational and very hard. If you study you should do fine. The final is multiple choice

Dr. Martin is a nice man, but expect his class to be tough. He uses randomly chosen CPA questions for the exams to prevent cheating. That makes the exams pretty difficult. You will learn a lot about the course material and how to prepare for the CPA exam. Study the CPA questions first, then the textbook for the quizzes.

Professor Martin is very clear on what will be tested. study Gleim book, participate and you will do good. for all of those complaints that tests are difficult and you don't know what test would be on its very unfair because it stated very clearly on syllabus. not an easy A but all questions come from Gleim JUST STUDY THEM

Best online class ever. We used an online program and it was self explanatory. We read, practiced and took our test on there. It was super straightforward. If you can add 1 +1, you can do well in this class. Our only grades are 3 exams, so do be aware of that. He gives you a good idea of what to expect on the exams. Take it and surprise yourself!
