he is the cutest man ever and he's really nice and wants you to learn the information. His exams are hard though and not at all about what he lectures or whats in the book. It was more then just geography...there was history and the background of the lands...very boring but he's so nice!

tests are a little hard, but he allows you to retake one test during finals week instead of having a final. he is really nice. class isn't boring. i recommend taking his class. along with exams there is a paper w/ presentation. its simple.

Hillarious man very willing to help outside of class. his teaching style is very engaging. I took us & canaada as a Gen Ed, and i am glad i did. He is one of those excentric professors who will go off topic during lectures, but manages to consolidate everything he says back to his main focus. Can get a little boring but his humor makes up for it.

Really nice, tests can be tough. Multiple choice with 50 questions each. Pay attention and take notes. Book is pretty much never used in class, just needed for tests and he tells you what you need to read.

I love him! He keeps his classes interesting and the only class I never want to miss. He always does extra stuff outside of class if students ask questions and he doesn't know. His lectures are engaging and funny and he is always open to whatever the students have to say or want to talk about. There were people in my class who only took the class because he was teaching it! He also gives extra credit, which is awesome.

Prof Mcglynn is great. He is goofy and funny and although the material was sometimes boring, he incorporated great movie and youtube clips and always had a personal story. He is freakin' awesome!! 3 tests, no homework and optional final (depending on your grade). Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic teacher. New to teaching Russian Geography and he made it very interesting. If he didn't know something, he took the time to research it. He enjoyed teaching the subject and it really showed. I'd definitely recommend and I'd definitely take another class with him.

What can be said about McGlynn that hasn't already been said? He is AMAZING! makes everything super understandable and interesting. He also has a quirky sense of humor that makes the class really enjoyable! You leave class everyday feeling like you have a greater understanding and curiosity about America! You MUST take a class with him!

This man is fantastic! he's a great teacher and easy to listen. He tries to keep class on schedule, recaps the last class at the start of each lecture and talks a lot but keeps things discussion oriented overall a great class

Class is not all about just geography, you get into topics after the first test which covers business sectors and stuff. You also can take every note, read every chapter, and there will be questions on the test which are for a geography major and have not been covered at all or else I wouldve done better. Not bad, pretty boring

LOVE this professor you wont find a nicer guy. He was really into the material and cares about his students. He gives extra credit on every test and if your struggling will offer an extra credit assignment. His classes were interesting by far my fav class and professor at Rowan!

Class isn't mandatory, just make sure that you get what you learned in class that day and you should be fine.

Prof Mcglynn is amusing and extremely interested in this course. His enthusiasm is rarely matched by professors. No text but a lot of research/reading is assigned but its not necessary to complete it all. You never know what to expect with lectures as he gets into various topics that we assigned and that leads to another whole new discussion

Very easy going professor and knows what he is talking about. Loves talking about planes. Have one presentation to do but it is really easy, got a 100. Map quizzes but they are really easy and three exams I think we took. Final is optional if you take all the exams and if you are passing. If you like your grade you don't have to go which was great.

Very easy class as long as you show up and pay attention. He will answer any questions you have. The exams arent hard at all as long as you pay attention to his lectures. Only had one project we did in pairs and was pretty easy. If you do good you dont have to take the final. The textbook for the class costed me $7. Definitely taking him again.

This class is very interesting! You do a lot of group assignments and the review for the quizzes are great--he does it like the Jeopardy game. Good luck

If you are only remotely interested into geography I would highly recommend taking professor McGlynn. His lectures are pretty interesting cause he always tries to relates things and concepts to us. Also he gives three very easy tests, three even easier map quizzes, and just one group project. I am definitely going to take him again!

Great guy, great class. he made science into easy to understand concepts that related to everyday life, especially with the atmosphere and airplanes. some labs were great, earthquakes and hurricanes, others just ok- tzones, he's very fair and understanding, I had a personal situation and he allowed me to makeup a missed lab.

Its clear he wants to you succeed. Hes clear in his lectures and is flexible, he will take as much time needed to clarify any questions. Hands down my favorite teacher so far at Rowan.

He is an amazing teacher!! An industry pro who will walk you through the connections between earths systems and aerodynamics for example. Just take Escience lab with him and you will NOT regret it. Hes thoughtful, interesting and will help you work through the labs at your own pace. Time actually flew by while in his class.

Took this class because we needed it. I wanted to be paired with my friend, but he has this crazy method where you draw natioanl park cards that matches you to someone, not fair at all. Class itself was fly. I just wanted to have my own partner and not some random kid.

mcglynn has a good sense of humor and encourages discussions. He presents information in multiple ways to help you connect with it, but the readings and videos are a must, its not a subject you can skip thru

I'm not a geography major but this is also the first geography class I've taken online and in general. It had a good mix of videos and persepectives and a fair grading system. It was also about the quiet parts of the world and it gave me insight into those places. Overall, class was a good experience and I enjoyed prof McGlynns way of teaching.

You can understand everything even if you knew next to nothing about science. He was engaging and used his own personal experiences to help explain some things. He was also open for us to share our experiences too. I would highly recommend taking him.

Really doesn't give you a ton of homework or anything to do in class. Hour long videos are the whole class sometimes. Really good teacher, not a very hard class. Project at the end of the year is pretty easy and you do it with a partner.

McGlynn is the Man! Work is very easy and straight forward. Lectures are pretty laid back but i recommend taking notes since the first exam is all on the notes you take. One presentation with a partner on assigned national projects which is pretty easy. Some lectures were just watching a video for the whole class. Definitely take him!

Easy going but his passion for aviation is great to witness and this class reflects it. Uses kahoot and exercises like checklists and flight risk calculators in class to get us involved examining real events. Showed some of the top videos from the investigation discovery series. This is a class I look forward to every week.

He is awesome!! I had him for earth science lab and it was the best!! He helps you with reviews for tests, so it's easier to get a better grade. His labs are very easy to manage. I highly suggest you take him if you need a lab elective!!! I loved coming to his class, such a great guy!

He is an ideal teacher for visual learners. Class are lecture heavy but usually have good graphics and video clips and sometimes quiz games mixed in. Content is also good and with important points on the board so they are not missed. If you miss classes though you will fall behind easily and your grade will drop.

Easily my favorite prof of my first semester at Rowan! Respectful of students and pleased to answer questions. Explains things clearly usually with reallife examples. Two exams with a lottery game style review thats incredibly helpful and complete

As a non STEM major taking my first lab, I was happy with Dr Mcglynns class. he does a fine job covering the material in an engaging manner. I never thought, when will I ever need to know this? because he was great at explaining how and why the concepts covered apply to the real world, which for me is really important.

He's an amazing professor who cares about his students. He is easy to talk to so if you have an issue, concern, or something going on outside of school then he will be happy to work with you. If you do the assignments and DBs with a good amount of effort than you should have no problem in his classes. I have taken him for four classes and love him.

Had Professor McGlynn for Water Resources Planning online. Assignments are difficult. Tests were the usual, not easy but not overly hard. Lectures were a reasonable length and kept my attention. Two exams and discussion posts each week. Overall an easy class if you do the work. Seems like he would be good in person too.

Professor McGlynn is one of the best professors Rowan has! Every class is interesting and engaging. I have taken him 3 times already and plan to take him again. Classes are easy as long as you pay attention and do the assignments on time. He is very understanding and is always willing to help if you dont understand an assignment. Overall 10/10!!!!

There was a major group project that is worked on the whole semester. Its overall a great class and if you have any questions, you can email him and he will help you.

Took the class online, the group assignments were kinda tough but the homework was a breeze. We were allowed to use any resource for the assignments as long as our answers were thorough and original. McGlynn is kind and accommodating in extenuating circumstances. Doesnt give a lot of feedback. Just do the assignments and put in some effort.

a must to take if you have the chance at RU. I took his lab and a geo elective and they were easily the best and most impactful classes I took in my time here. He challenges and inspires you to connect the dots. An experience I will cherish the rest of my life

Prof McGlynn is a very kind man. He is attentive to questions and is respectful to all of his students. If you show up to class and pay attention half the time you are bound to a get a B. If you don't show up, well then you won't do well. I think that is easy enough. Also doing the chapter review questions really helps on exams.

Probably the best geography teacher I have had in my life. His lectures are easy to handle and he is very accommodating to students nd easy to approach. Lab groups are randomized at start of semester but manageable

I definitely recommend taking Dr. McGlynn! He was always there to answer my emails quickly and thoroughly even though it was a summer class. Overall, the class wasn't too difficult. We had 2 DQs, 2 textbook assignments, and 2 labs due every week. The labs were in a lab book and it was mostly analyzing data and only a little was hands on.

Great guy, who loves the topic. Labs were not that hard and it did not typically take the whole class. The lectures were long and he usually kept us the entire time. Test 1 midterm test 2 optional final. All in-person on-paper tests, they were super long and really hard.

Great professor, although the material was a little challenging. 2 exams worth 25% of your grade and one major project worth 25% of your grade. He is accessible via email, and there are lots of lectures and videos to watch.

Online class. Videos are informational, time consuming but interesting. Classwork consists of videos readings and answering questions, pretty straightforward. A couple of quizzes, and a powerpoint project where you choose a location to study. Professor communicates all the time

I've had Prof. McGlynn before for other online classes, and this course is exactly what I expected. Bi-weekly modules with a discussion question, assignment, lecture, and reading from the textbook. The professor is very communicative and will answer any questions you may have.
