Looking for an easy class? Well, don't take him. He's not a bad teacher but a very good one, so good that only nerds would be able to hang in class, he's one of the smartest teachers I ever met, but don't expect an easy A. Overall, I dont recommend

This class is so easy. There's lyk four book reports (grade school stuff) and the rest of the time is discussion and field trips. No homework; barely any tests. What more could you ask for? Do your book reports well and you'll be fine. I got an A

McGruder has been the most supportive professor I have ever had. He challenges you in many ways. He makes logic easy!

As previously stated by my peers, Professor McGruder's class was very easy. Hell, unlike most of you, I didn't even read the book, and I still maintained an A. The subject matter, for those of you interested, is very logical (of course)—like programming. For those left-brained thinkers, this class will be a breeze!

His class is easy. Got a B! Do need the book! Homework is alot of points. It gets easier later on. Do the extra credit, It really boosts your grade! Final was easy! Do recommend! easy going class!

This class is pretty easy. Some of the material does not make sense at first, but it is very easy to pass with a good grade. It is a total kick back class.

this is a rather easy class...all you have to do is the homework and study for the finals. everything is graded by the book, no ****. as long as you keep up with what your being taught and participate you'll do fine. If not just ask him and he'll practically give you the answer. hes pretty funny too & half the time you get out of class early

I took the online course and it was an okay class. You need to read the book in order to pass the class. He does give extra credit that can affect your grade and mainly bases the grade on test and quizzes.

This professor is pretty straight forward in the grading. The quizzes are in the back of the section of the book. I took it online so I did a whole lot of reading. You read and do the section's t or f question you'll do good in his quizzes. He also pull questions from the pull in his exams. Good Luck

Hes a very informative teacher. Talks about current events all the time. The class is boring and useless tho. Didnt have to buy book just down load off the net. Lots of extra credit off and on campus. Hes understanding and likes to do lots of group work.

I LOVE HIM!!! He is really interested in teaching you and helping you to understand and grasp the concept of everything. He takes the time to talk to you about current events and makes you feel very intelligent. He NEVER talks down to you. I strongly recommend his class he is a very smart man!!

Professor has great knowledge. He is willing to discuss a topic. Don't try to BS your way through a topic though. He is quite informative. He is willing to listen to other peoples ideas, he does not inforce his views on to you. He is willing to work with you if you have problems. He wants you to pass his course and gives every oppurtunity too.

he's a pretty odd guy but he was helpful. you don't have to read but if you miss a class its all in the book and EVERYTHING is on blackboard from beginning to end of semester. He gives you all the tools to get and A and LOADS of extra credit! All you have to do is give blood and pay attention to all the fallacies. It helped in other classes too

Mr. McGruder is a helpful, easy-going professor. Though he tends to go off-topic, I found his opinions insightful. Always makes room for class discussions and listens to his students' views. Not strict on attendance, but his lectures are easy to understand so attending class will almost guarantee an A. He explains HW well and helps if asked.

Excellent professor, with great views on politics. I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to be intelligent, articulate, and well-spoken. Class is extremely easy, but does require you to read an entire text book and study. There are take home and class tests. Final is literally copy and paste of previous homework and tests taken.

This class was interesting... we had homework every nite.. we self graded our exams and hmwk, which was cool... and he offers A LOT of extra credit opportunities... the only thing was he does not explain the maerial very clearly... i learned more from my classmates

This class was a joke but it was really easy. Attending and listening to his lectures gives you atleast a B for the class. Homework is everyday but its easy and you grade it in class. The exams are the same way n they are based off the homework. Im not good in most english/philsophy classes but I got an A just for doing my work n showing up!

Fun class! Boring first few weeks, extremely interesting toward the end. Uses textbook alot! Firm believer in BlackBoard. HW is every night but really easy and quick. You grade your own HW, tests, and final. Blackboard has everything you need to turn in your work if you miss a day. Allowed 2 late assignments, tons of extra credit. Easy A! Recommend

He is one of the most easy going professors I have taken. As stated by the other students, do the homework. It is the bulk of your grade. He allowed for 100 points of extra credit. If you fail this class, then there is something wrong with you. I finished the class with an A. You really have to try to fail, to actually fail this class.

I took professor McGruder's Logic class in Winter and it was extremely easy. Homework counts for 60% of your grade and the tests are either take home or open book/phone/any other device. The material is a bit confusing for some, but his lectures are very good and he is always willing to help. Guaranteed A if you put even the tiniest of effort

Awesome teacher. I learned so much and was always interested. You must attend every class and you get homework every day but it really is fun and interesting. Definitely not a class for idiots or slackers but if you actually attend school to LEARN and improve yourself take this class... It is easily the best one I had at Mt. SAC.

Def. one of the easiest prof. here at MTSAC. You grade your own homework, exams and finals. Plenty of extra credit is offered as well. Hwk is 60% of your grade so make sure not to slack off on hwk. First exam and finals were in class and open book/notes. The last two exams were take home exams. Make sure to learn your truth tables. Received an A.

There's really no excuse for not passing this class. Do all the hw, study for the exams, do the extra credit he offers. He usually lectures for a bit then you spend the rest of class doing group work. Nice professor & a really easy class. But you do learn a lot. They seem daunting at first, but I actually found the truth tables to be a lot of fun.

I took this class online during the Winter. I passed with an A; I read almost every chapter though you don't have to read them all. I recommend doing the EXTRA CREDIT, do your posts, current events, and quizzesexams. Focus and you can survive.

Very Helpful. Enjoyed the class, the subject matter might be difficult to some. It is logic. Online class was set up with multiple quizzes and 3 major exams, which are not timed. Answers are straight from the bookgoogle. Reading the chapter you will find the answers. Reading is not too heavy, but like i said the subject matter might be difficult.

McGruder is an older prof, bit of liberal but, a good prof. Read the book, do the hw and study a bit before class you will do well. He gives many opportunities for extra credit and allows you to make up hw. Tests are pretty straight forward just definition and using concepts. Not a big user of scan trons.

Grades are very clear, either you got the right answer or you didn't. As long as you participate in the weekly group discussions and read the provided handouts you will pass your quizzes. He offers up to 150 points of extra credit which was super helpful. I bombed 2 out of 4 tests and still got an A. You don't need the text book. Take his class!

Professor McGruder's class is a class where you have to pay attention in order to understand the material, but he's really helpful to make things clear. Very friendly and approachable. Offers a lot of extra credit if you donate blood or go to an art show so take advantage of it. In class group-work is also required so sit next to good people.

A lot of the class revolves around group work. He teaches the lesson and then allows you to go into groups and work on exercises. If you need help he'll explain it to the group that asks for it. I wouldn't say you need the Book to pass because my friend didn't get the book and still got an A but it's definitely helpful to have it, HW comes from it.

I took the 8 week course, get ready to read a lot. Instructions are very specific and you definitely want to do all the exercises in the book. Quizes and exams contain a lot of questions from the exercises assigned. Not very much homework at all, just recommended textbook work which will highly benefit you for all the quizzes and exams.

Prof McGruder is such a nice guy. He cares a lot about his students and bis very helpful if needed. The actual class isn't too hard, there is homework almost every night though. There are 4 exams (including final) which are all open note and book. There are about 3 "glossary quizzes" though that you need to memorize the glossary terms for.

Prof McGruder was a good teacher. The class has a page of homework every day, but its not hard. If you try you can get an easy A. He trys to make the class fun and there is extra credit. You do need the book. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting/needing to take philosophy 3.

Took his 8-Week Intro to Logic class. I recommend listing out every assignment on your planner so you don't lose track. Read and study once or twice a week and you'll do fine. His quizzes are short. Replies fairly quick. Offers extra credit, one of them is simply donating blood.

you do need to buy the textbook (online version) for the tests. he offers a max of 3 extra credit assignments all worth 50 points max each. the final was tough, I got an F on it but I managed to do 2 extra credit opportunities and I got an A in the class. the class is not the easiest work load wise but I would recommend his online
