If you want an easy A, a interesting class and to learn something TAKE THIS CLASS!!! prof. Nanney is great, he answers emails very quickly and give a study guide for each exam, that if you do you are guaranteed to pass the class. Read the book,do the study guides,do the online discussions every week and you're guaranteed an "A"

This is an easy class. You must do the weekly discussion posts and there's a midterm and a final. Do the discussion posts and study what he tells you to. You can't go wrong. Really nice professor. He just "wants you to learn something".

Not easy but fair he is really smart and has been a cop forever has great real life stories to teach from. He gave extra credit for midterm but made us earn it.

Great Professor. You do have to work for your grade though. Midterm Final & weekly discussion posts, each equaling bout third of ur grade. Useful study guides before tests, pay attn in class, and do all posts on time; and you'll do fine. Won't call it an easy A, but definetely attainable; i should get an A.

Weekly discussion which aren't hard. Test which have study guides. Material is slightly boring but NOT hard. If you don't get an A you didn't put it any effort. Come to class every week and he'll help you out at the end of the semester.

Class was a little hard but instructor made it easier to understand and went over the highlights. Make sure you do the assignments and attend class he will go over the exams via a good review. He's pretty cool for a cop!

Very smart professor but he talks alot. He is funny and keeps class inteesting so you do learn the material, but listen to him and read the syllabus he follows it and means what he says ive had him twice already and will take him again

This class was very helpful in leaving a knowledge base for real world use. it was easy to follow by how professor Nanney taught it. He will work with you and his weekly discussion help you stay on track and have better access to gaining points. there is no reason to fail. he doesn't waste time and if you can leave early you will.

Prof. Nanney was very good and very experienced. He was able to explain the course so we could understand it. The discussison posts were due weekly and 2 tests that had good study guides with them. i highly recommend him!

Class was very interesting he ties in the class to current terror events which makes learning easier. Hes a "head honcho" cop and knows alot about policing and the law. He a little tough i guess as a cop but if you do what hes says you will get a A!

Class was hard the prof. is nice but tough and wouldn't give me a break to bump my grade up, to be fair I got the grade I scored out to. Hes a cop by day prof at night maybe that's why hes tough. Make sure you read and do assignments. Hes not bad to look at either :)

His midterm was a little tough but he gave a great study guide so if you study you actually learn stuuf as he says. He keeps us awake and is very funny and smart I wish i had more profs like him!

PROFESSOR-OFFICER NANNEY IS REALLY COOL!!! HE HAS MADE ME LOOK AT COPS DIFFRENTLY AND MORE FAIRLY. HE KNOWS HIS WORK AND IS ABLE TO TEACH THE MATERIAL WITH REAL- WORLD EXPERIENCE. THE MID-TERM WAS A LITTLE TOUGH BUT HE DID CURVE IT AND GAVE A GREAT STUDY GUIDE. I WILL TAKE HIM AGAIN IN THE SPRING.

Last night was final exam. The study guide was good you do have to study, read and pay attention but Prof. Nanney explains things so you can get it!!!! Charles Nanney Is a great professor. He knows what he is talking about , very clear on what you need to know for exams. He takes his time, and gives you study guides for each exam. Professor Nanney has extensive knowledge of what he teaches because of his decorated background in the force. Show up to class take notes and you will finish an A+.

My favorite prof at FIU and one with real world experience in the Criminal Justice field. Professor Nanney makes his lectures interesting by sharing his personal stories. I would take him again if I could. I really enjoyed the class and I have learned so much. He does give you study guides but you will also have to read through all the chapters.

My only professor that I made sure to get a class with again next semester. Funny guy that knows what he's talking about and makes lectures informal but enjoyable at the same time. Got an A

His exams are basically straight from the poweroints nd provides an outline before hand for you to study! Uses real life scenerios to explain information being thought. Very understanding and coolest cop!!

Professor Nanney is one of those professors who makes you feel like you are in college. His objective is that you learn and will help you any which way. When it comes to grading, he is more than fair especially with the available extra credit from the weekly discussions. He is just outstanding.

Prof. Nanney is an awesome teacher who forces you to learn whether you want to or not. He is very helpful. Answers all emails, texts and BB messages in a timely manner. You do need to go to class and must study alot his study guide was huge. Overall great teacher but makes you work for it. He does give real world examples from his cop work.

Ive taken him 3 times; for comparitive cj, drugs&crime, & global terrorism. The teaching criteria was the same and VERY CLEAR for all 3 which allowed me to get A's. He is a tough grader, but he is funny, informative, and has an awesome personality & simply wants you to learn because that is the purpose of college. He does call role for attendance

Professor Major Nanney is a really good speaker and professor. He is very smart and explains things so kids can understand. My only criticism is that he is too tough, his exams were hard and his study guide had like 200 topics. I now have terrorism dripping outta of ears LOL!!!

This professor was the best for global terrorism. I always heard that Global terrorism was a difficult class but not with him. Only a midterm and a final and a discussion every week that you don't need to respond to any student. He really helps you out to make sure you have enought time to complete discussions.

he gives you a grade boost if you attend most classes. 2 exams. 12 discussions. he gives you all PP and tells you what you need to know. With that being said, CLASS IS SO BORING! it feels like i'm getting murdered and then brought back to life to be killed again.

Prof. Nanney is a very good teacher. He tells you what to study and keeps reminding you to do you weekly posts. The tests were fair but tough if you didnt study alot. This class was boring but he made it interesting from his cop stories and he is funny. i would take him every semester if possible.

This class is the easiest class I ever took! Yes, you have to do a weekly assignment and study for the Midterm and a final. But other than that, he's an amazing professor!! He gives study guides, curves, and gives extra points for a good well-written (less than 250 words) assignments. Seriously, how can you not pass?

Major Nanney Rocks! He gives plenty of opportunities to get an A in his class. The weekly class discussion is 10 points. However, if you go above and beyond, you can get up to 4 xtra points weekly and they're 12 of them. With that said if you're not a great test taker, I strongly suggest you do the weekly post on time. Gives great review!

This is the third time I have taken Nanney. He was tough in the Terrorism class but he knows his stuff! Comp CJS was a lot of material but he made it interesting. If you pay attention in class he tells you what's on exams. He gives a great study guide makes you learn the material. Make sure you do the discussions and you will easily get A or B

Nanney is awesome Prof. He is very sharp and funny and knows his stuff from many years as a cop- but very cool, especially for a cop. Do the assignments and come to class you will pass and " learn something "as his says. He even helped me and my bf with our statistics homework before class, explains stuff so anyone gets it. Amazing professor! Easy A. Your whole grade is based off of discussion questions, midterm and final. You have a whole week to do the discussion question and he still lets you turn them in late. Midterm and final are multiple choice and he gives you a detailed review for each. Any problems? He is very understanding! Would definitely take him again.

I've taken Major/Prof Nanney twice. He is a super professor. He knows how to explain the lectures and knows the material from being a cop. He makes the class entertaining and more importantly you get to learn in his class. He just wants you to learn, his study guides are amazing. DEFINITELY take his classes. TAKE HIM. He gives reviews for the test which are helpful. I didn't show up for class. just for the midterm and final, obviously had to study for a week before because it is a lot to review. do the discussions every week and study a week before the final and midterm by doing the review and you'll be fine. I got an A by doing that.

Professor Nanney is a very informative professor and he works really hard to make sure that everyone in the class is learning and is aware of current events. There are weekly discussion posts which are extremely easy and a great way to earn extra credit points. There are also 2 exams which are not cumulative. I strongly suggest taking his class.

Professor was hands down a good teacher who only wanted his students to learn. there is a discussion post weekly its basically extra credit and if you need a couple of points to the next letter grade he looks at your attendence. theres a midterm and final. he gives a good review but you must find the answers. study that and you will pass the class

He always is available after class or before with questions. He answers emails very quick. If you pay attention and do the discussion its an easy A or B.

There is no excuse to not be able to pass his class. His expectations are easily met. 2 test(midterm and final) and discussions questions that you have more than enough time to complete. Put in more effort into your responses and extra points are given. He is fair and reasonable. Study and you'll pass his class.

We all "have a busy life with work and school" and it's not the professors fault if you can't manage your time adequately. Discussion questions for each chapter reviewed in class and you have an entire week to complete each question plus you get to advance and do the future discussion questions if you'd like. ALL the discussion questions are your chances for extra credit that he gives!.. There are 12 discussion questions.. Meaning over 12+points of extra credit possible!.. If you failed to manage your time and not do the questions on time then yes points are deducted but extra credit is still given based on the quality of your answer! Very reasonable!

Prof. Nanny knows what he's talking about when he's lecturing, so pay close attention to the things he tells you to highlight bc they WILL BE ON THE EXAM. He is clear on what you have to do to pass his class. If you're not much of a reader, get ready, there's lots of it but the material isn't hard and he helps you understand. just go to class.

There are weekly discussions that are based on each chapter. Do them and put in effort in the discussion and you will get a good grade. There are two exams, he gives out a study guide that shows what's on the test. Great professor. I got a 237 out of 220. Learned a lot. Great class.

He is honestly caring and will work with you. Very understanding to real life personal issues, he let me take the final exam before the date due so I would not miss a very important day of training for a new job. Reviews are clear cut and easy to study from since exams come str8 out of his study guides. 2 exams 12 discussions EASY but NEED to study

2 Exams and 12 discussions , He gives extra credit for the more you write on your discussions and allows you to turn in late discussions for one more point off. However, if you write a lot you can redeem a better grade on them. Study guides are provided and exams are easy to complete once you have studied the entire study guide. Please study & easy

Professor Nanney has been one of the best professors Ive had at FIU. There are 14 discussions which by the way if you take your time on it (theyre super easy) he will even give you extra points!! And there is a Midterm and Final which he also does his own study guide and gives it to you. If you do the work, its easy!

Professor Nanney is really down to earth and helps you with any questions you have. During his PowerPoint lectures he lets you know what to study for the midterm and final. Also if class gets canceled he sends out an outline of what to study. He also gives 12 discussions that are pretty straight forward and relate to the weeks chapter. 10/10

Even though this was prof. Nanney's last semester before retiring, I am rating him. He was one of the best professors at FIU. Class was so straight foward and easy. During his lectures he would tell you what we would be tested on. 12 discussion posts straight from the powerpoints. Gave us great study guides as well.

Professor Nanney was a guest-speaker in my class. Very funny and extremely knowledgeable ex cop. He explains thing so non cops get it. Ill be taking his classes next fall.
