he's only hard cuz he confuses the students,he would tell u he's testing on ch10 but really it's ch12. so dont believe anything he says, buy the text, it'll help u more than he ever will. bad bad teacher..pssibily the worst one i had

He is the worse teacher I have ever unfortunately tumble accross. Doesn't know what the material is about. Very confusing. He can't teach and unable to answer the student's questions. He is nice but horrible at teaching!!!!

Absolute worst prof ever Tests are riduculous,quizzes impossible, and don't cover anything we learned in class Reading the Econ book does not help at all. He doesn't have notes and the ones you write down don't help on the test. Whatever he talks about the least in class will be examined the most. If you want your GPA to go down then take his class

He's a very nice guy.. but.. really does not know how to teach. I was able to get away with a decent mark(so far at least) but more than half my class failed. He never understands the questions people ask, and when he tries to explain, he often goes into an elaborate story,which makes it even more confusing Try not to take him if you can avoid it

Prof uninterested in course material,rude to students,vague and imprecise when lecturing or answering questions and regularly contradicted the text book. Worst academic experience I have ever had. AVOID him at all costs, he?ll kill your confidence and ruin your GPA. Actually told me my C was a good mark... this guy is in his own little world!

He is one of the worst teachers out there . As the last person said try to avoid this guy or else your GPA will hurt big time not that he is any good in terms of knowledge because he doesn't teach good, he doesn't do much and is not organized..Just an aweful experience!!

If you want a teacher who quickly writes complicated material on the board, then erases it and says how easy it is, this is the guy for you. Horrible class, half dropped it, got a B-, GPA killer. Tests very hard, constantly changes mind over grading. Tried to make final 40% when knew full well it would be extremely hard test. Not recommended

Very hard to understand. All i ever took from his lectures were supply and demand, which most people know as common knowledge. When he writes on the board, he only writes the first two letters then ends it with a scribble line. Test questions are not hard, but you have to answer his way, or you don't get any marks at all.

The textbook is not helpful for the exams and his lecture is unclear.

Iam begging you not to take this class!!! If you have to wait an entire year to take it with another prof, then do it ! He has no notes, extremly hard marker! he will tell you the book is incorrect ! DO NOT TAKE THISE PROF! I had him for Micro and I couldn't understand a thing he was saying. His accent kinda got in the way of what he was trying to explain and most his examples are VERY unclear. I dropped his class halfway before that 'W' deadline. If you want to maintain your GPA, do NOT take this guy.

He Put me UN at the beginning arguing that he lost my final, in fact he didn't lose it but he didn't even marked. He lost many assignments not only from me but from everyone. Finally he change it my grade but after 2 months and he Put me C. when I actually had B-. I had to take this Econ again.. and all thanks to him.

I do not recommend this professor. the entire class did poorly on midterm but did well on the online assignments so he accused the class of cheating on book based assignments. His term tests are written by him and very subjective and do not follow the book, his lectures were not helpful and I had one of the top marks in the class.

Do not take a class with this teacher. He knows what he is talking about, but nobody else does. Very difficult to understand, and his tests are very difficult to understand because they are poorly written. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you dont show up, do dont get the homework and you lose marks because of it. Do not take this course!!!

Worst instructor I've ever had. Did not explain a single concept during class; you're basically on your own. He teaches at you and expects you to understand what he's talking about. Never explains WHY or HOW a concept works. On top of it, he's an extremely hard marker. Avoid his class at all costs.

he includes things on his test from chapters that haven't been covered. super disorganized and not at all helpful. would strong recommend avoiding him at all costs

Don't even think of taking this guy... very scattered lectures, unhelpful, doesnt know what a computer is and tests are half irrelevant... Goes off on a tangent more often than talking about the class material, which is explained very different from the text... I highly do not recommend him. He gives quizzes based on attendance.

If you have alternative, I suggest you escape this professor. His class is boring and confusing. He didn't follow the textbook and would argue that you should follow his own book , which only have e-book version and sale on an unknown American website. He also is lazy that force you to buy a Pearson vouch to do the assignment online(40 bucks) .

He is so disorganized and is all over in class. Hard to follow along. Has notes but never uses them in class and even if you study the notes alone you get more confused. The assignments are based on class attendance and plus not enough time to do the assignments as he set time on the same day of class, this is unfair as pple have their own schedule

Very unclear with assignment due dates. He often assigns homework without informing his students, and when due date comes, he asks everyone who are unaware of the assignments because he did not post online or tell in class. Often, when teaching, he talks about contents not relevant to the course.

Very disrespectful teacher. Told students that they will most likely fail if they did not hold a GPA of 4.0. He teaches as if he was teaching a masters program. Said to the class "you should be taught at a masters level as I only believe in high quality and competence."

WORST professor at Douglas! DO NOT take his class, hard assignments, hard tests, and he does not teach or explain anything properly. He uses a textbook he wrote, and it's simply horrible. You have to learn everything on your own from the help of YouTube and Google. He expects you already know everything. Biggest regret.

Irrelevant lectures, heavy homework which count for overall marks but many concepts in the HW his doesn't mention(both his lecture and e textbook) at all. Fail easily and impossible to get high marks. Think twice before you take this course.

Does not explain material clearly, goes on rants about randoms things. Class is very unstructured, badly written notes and no power point slides. Says that almost everyone will do poorly on tests

The worst prof I had at Douglas. 1. Hard-to-understand lectures. 2. He forced us to buy his own ebook - the worst economics book ever, & to do assignments in Econlab, you have to read Parkin's book. So it's expensive for the materials. 3. Assignment every week. 4. No slideshow. He just showed the some pages of his book or wrote on the board.

never take. professor doesn't know what he is teaching. worst grader and unclear explanations of things. He describes it in his "own ways" which is different than all other economists and forces us to use it.

For your own good do NOT take this professor. Tests, final and midterms are 20% max related to the material he gives in class. The wording for tests are often confusing or/and copy pasted from other tests online. No practice for graphs, ZERO preparation in class for what you see on MyLab. Class is 2/3 designated hours long.

Difficult to understand. Wrote his own textbook for the course and it didn't even make sense. His exams are extremely hard due to the fact they are ALL written answers. Ended up having to retake the course in the next semester and ended up learning entirely different things.

Horrible teacher. Lessons unclear, won't give you notes unless you pay, you have to buy his textbook, which by the way does not clarify any confusion. Even the way he teaches itself is unorganized and unclear. If you are going to take this class, be prepared to buy the alternative textbook and self study through khanacademy.

Has no clue what he's talking about. Wrote his own textbook for the course, DON'T BUY IT, it's absolutely useless gibberish. Can't explain even the simplest micro term. He will teach you microeconomics incorrectly, you're better off using YouTube to teach yourself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Worst professor bar none at Douglas. I have a good grade because I watched a few videos on Khan Academy; I would suggest you do the same if you find yourself stuck with Odoom as you will learn absolutely nothing from him.

Honestly the worst prof I've ever had! So unclear about what is expected to be on the weekly quizzes. If you need a good grade for this class take it with one of the professors who offer lectures twice a week instead of Charles Odoom who offers a lecture once a week and doesn't explain anything relevant to what will be on your weekly quizzes.

Having to sit through Charles' lectures was like having someone throw splinters at you and tell you to build a table. He doesn't explain things well but expects you to be able to do the quizzes at the end of class every week. I feel like this class was unnecessarily hard due to his lack of ability to teach.

Not a very difficult class, and thank god for that because this professor is a mess. Doesn't even seem to understand his own lectures at times and will give anecdotes that have no relation to what he is talking about. Also he straight up respond to your emails which is just great.

The classes end early, and the material isn't adequately explained. On the midterm, half of the class received an F, and the professor seemed unconcerned. If you are aiming to maintain a high GPA, I would advise against taking this professor. Even with your best efforts, achieving an A- might be difficult

Stay away from this man. His lectures are unengaging, and completely off topic more often than not. On top of that, 70% of the course is based on the midterm and final which he basically does not teach in class and are difficult. This is a course you will have to teach yourself if you have this professor.
