loved mr. parker. i'm going to miss him. i had him for English 2 and English 4. he is super easy and fun to talk to. i got an A in both of his classes and didn't do squat for homework. he is one of those teachers you can become friends with and get a good grade for it. definitely take him!

Parker is a really great teacher! Super funny...only had two essays, like three tests,and a little bit of HW that he never really looks at but overall really simple(If you listen).If you are shy be prepared to go out of your comfort zone and get up and read your response to news articles and have your papers graded in front of class.Pretty easy!:)

Professor Parker is awesome! His class is very fun and he has a great sense of humor. He has a few essays and homework assignments but as long as you do the work you will be fine. Take his class!

Mr. Parker was born to be a teacher. He is by far the BEST English professor I have ever had. I absolutely HATE English, for I'm a math and science person. In lecture leads the class in amazing discussions about English, and about life. He also dresses impeccably. I cannot wait to take him for English 2!

He's fun, lots of class discussion. He has a problem with being direct about assignment directions. Very professional, not exactly a warm, friendly teacher but still an awesome English teacher if you can handle his deep, monotone voice.

Mr. Parker is a stand up guy. He seems strict on the outside but on the inside he has a very good heart. If you watch his facial expression you will crack up all day! There is a lot of work but he will guide you along the way. Pay attention and take notes of due dates! He does not like to repeat himself. He loves his students and helpful just ask!

Best teacher I've had so far, seems intimidating at first but he just wants your respect and Interest in passing. Very funny and easy going. I've learned much from his class morally and educationally. Would recommend. Texts for his class are very interesting. And must mention he has a great taste in style!

IF you struggle with English the same way I do especially in Essay's he's the perfect teacher he does give essays 3 but will help you and guide you through the process .Love him he's very funny I had him for both English 251 and English 1. My writing has by far improved with him than with anyone else. You won't regret taking him Good Luck

I took Mr. Parker last spring semester and he was great. He didn't conduct his class with lectures but rather as a discussion and he appreciates it when everyone would participate. He only gave us one test!

He is a great teacher. I learned so much about English! We had interesting topics in class. You have to work for your grade, but it isn't impossible. If you have a mindset of getting a good grade and working for it, then you will do just fine! I would take him again!

Mr. Parker is a very good professor just seemed a little tough he knows what he's doing to teach his students but if your up for the challenge Go For It!

used the textbook for homework Gave lessons on important skills so you'll have to take notes Gave books you need to read for tests he will give out later talkative teacher and class very understanding would take again everything is well explained and goes by easy and fast (but when no one participates it gets slow still easy)

I have previously taken Parker class awhile back and I absolutely loved his class. He makes class alive and fun. He truly cares about your work effort and will help you succeed in college. He does have a no cell phone use in class policy.

One of the best professors I have ever had. No phones, no canvas, and a bit old school, but he's great. And if he asks you how you're doing, the answer is "well"

Absolutely loved his English class. I took it over summer so it was quicker than usual. He does require participation. He is very big on being answered when asked questions. He provides you with all the tools necessary to pass is very clear what he wants. You will have to put in some work but he is a fair grader and will let you revise to pass.

Mr. Parker is the best if you miss class he will notice and reach out if everything is okay. He really makes the class interesting and it is very out going. Also there is a lot of self opinion involved, and hes super funny.

His lectures are awesome, lots of really good discussions. Very funny and caring. Memorizes his students names and likes to know at least a little bit about each student. Easy to talk to. There was one group project and a couple essays due in my summer course. Very fun class!

Professor Parker is one of my favorite professors at COS. He truly cares for his students, and gives good feedback to help with the essays. You have to show up to class in order to pass. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Best English teacher at Cos. Took him for both English 1 and English 4. He is overall a great guy. He really cares about you and wants you to do good. If I could I would take him for every class I had at COS.

Professor Parker's class was always interesting and filled with great discussions! It was one of the best English courses I have taken at COS, and I really miss it. I would definitely recommend his African American Lit course to other students!

HIs class is really easy to pass you don't get any homework the class is just about reading short articles and then discussing them in class. Not a hard class at all. Just be prepared to get into deep topics: political, racism, social problems etc. Also if ur introvert don't really recommend bec ur cameras need to be on and participation is big.

Pretty intimidating class and not the best choice for introverts as you do multiple group presentations (although they're pretty easy). During his lectures, he wants everyone to speak at least once and cameras must be on the whole time. He's definitely a tough grader when it comes to essays but he's hilarious and his class was very interesting.

He's a real respected man. If you want to learn then take his class, he teaches you real good. If you don't care for learning and want an easy A, I recommend taking another teacher.

Very respectful and has that old school feel to him. He can be very funny sometimes and it catches you off guard. Sometimes class was very unnecessary as we didnt really get lectured but rather only reviewed our peers and our own work, kinda sucked if you live pretty far. Didnt really like his due times since he did them at random times not @11:59

I've taken Charles Parker for eng251, eng1, and eng2. He's an amazing Professor and cares for his students. He answers all of your questions and explains things very well. All you have to do is show up, and stay on top of all the assignments that are given.

Best professor I've had at COS. Really engaging and makes you feel as if he really cares about your success. Really professional and respected.

Taught us the basics of MLA format, read 2 physical books, final was easy to complete if you did your research. Would take class again.
