You have to go to class. His tests are based majority on lectures and they're pretty hard.
Not a bad course. No homework, no discussion boards, just 4 tests, and he drops the worst grade out of your 4. If you don't go to class the slides he uploads will make no sense.
I loved this class this year! Lectures are very straight forward and easy to understand. He posts his slides online but they won't make sense if you don't go to class. Tests are really easy if you paid attention in class and he drops your lowest one at the end of the semester. He's hot so that definitely helps too.
This has to be my favorite class hands down! Lectures are not mandatory, but he discusses a lot of information so I wouldn't encourage missing any of them. I admire the fact that he doesn't read off of the lecture slides, rather it feels as if he's telling a story. Btw, tests will ask questions about the book and the assigned documentary.
Great teacher and class. Just make sure you attend class or you will not pass. Take good notes and the tests will be really easy but you have to make sure that you are writing down or typing a majority of what he is saying. If you do that you will easily get an A in the course.
Lectures were a complete bore but required to do well on exams. All exams were online and he drops the lowest. Easy A if you willing to put in the work.
The entire grade is the average of the 4 online tests you take based on the lectures. The lowest test grade is dropped from the grade book, and he also curves your final grade. There's also no homework or discussion posts. Take this class.
He has absolutely amazing lectures, they are fun to attend; he makes everything a story. He also has an adorable accent so it is is even better! There are only 4 tests, all online. They cover lectures, readings, and assigned movies. The tests aren't difficult if you payed attention. I would definitely take another one of his classes.
Pretty easy class, but if you skip you'll have a hard time passing. I never went to class but I passed with a C.
I feel biased as an anthro major, but I did enjoy the majority of his lectures. I can definitely see some people with zero interest in the subject matter glazing over though. His tests are impossible if you don't read the slides, the book, and watch the documentary. Going to the lectures definitely helps in getting an A, although it's not required.
If you are interested in learning about Archaeology you better learn from Wikipedia rather than taking this course with Perreault. Even if you go to class, listen to lectures, take notes, read book, and watch the assigned videos, nothing of what you have done will appear in the exams, and you won't be able to know your wrong answers as well.
AVOID HIM
The class was interesting. I suggest you typing out his notes because they're much easier to find when you take the four online exams, the lowest being dropped. Make sure to attend class because his powerpoints are just pictures and you have to write down almost everything he says. Also, read the book to answer the reading guide questions.
Wow! This class was something else. I've never reviewed a class before but I was prompted to review this class. The professor seemed nice but his exams were very difficult. It's not that the actual info is difficult you just need to make sure you type pretty much everything he says. It will be on the exam. There are 4 and 1 is dropped
Huge lecture class. Really interesting material. You have to attend class, read a book, and watch documentaries. The class isn't hard however, the test questions (while multiple choice) are purposely vague and confusing making it hard to get an A, as missing just a few questions of the first couple exams will prevent it.
You better find another instructor.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I thought that this was going to be an easy elective and I ended up getting a D. His lectures are super long, and extremely boring! The entire grade is based off of 4 exams and he drops the lowest. The exams are super long and are timed, the questions are super vague and all of the answers seem plausible. I hated this class!
Well worth your time, very interesting class and professor
I felt this class was easy as long as you viewed the lectures, although there are a lot of them. The class had 3 quizzes and a final exam along with 3 fairly short papers and 3 discussion boards. I didn't read the book once as everything was covered in the lectures.
There's only 4 or 5 exams solely based off of the information given in lectures. My best advice is to make friends in the class and take the exams together as a group.
Perreault was largely absent from any involvement. We did not see him give any lectures. The TA was the most involved in giving feedback. Questions in Hallway Conversations went unanswered. This course was more of a "cram it down your throat" requirement for majors and something to get done and out of the way. Sometimes interesting material.
The class had some interesting moments but otherwise it was a regurgitation of quizzes with a few assignments with
No homework, your entire grade is based on four tests. All four are online, but it still helps to read beforehand and watch the two movies he assigns. If you read, and go to class regularly, you'll easily get an A. Easy B if you don't attend lectures also
I really enjoyed this class online and it is super easy especially with all the lecture videos that broke the textbook down and simplified the material. Also unlike a lot of my classes this class was not heavy in homework and I would typically be able to finish a weeks homework in less than 2 hours.
Doesn't take attendance but you have to show up to pass because his posted slideshow is pictures only. Super boring. I thought it'd be an easy A, but its hard to stay awake during class because theres really no interesting parts. 4 exams but he drops the lowest grade and thats all you get graded on with no participation or homework points.
This course was a little interesting but boring at the same time. Test are taken online and then curved. Questions on test consist of in class lecture, short films, and reading material. Book should be read to pass exams.
Interesting lectures. Cares about us
This has been my best class at ASU. His lectures are fascinating even if the class is early in the morning. The exams are hard but he curves the grade. Multiple choice questions. If you miss classes you will find it hard.
This class changed my life and now I want to be an archaeologist. The lectures can be long but they were all interesting and you can tell he cares about us. He is also funny and if you go see him he is easy to talk to
The most interesting class I've taken at ASU.
He did an amazing job at preparing the class for the actual school year as well as helping us find all campus resources and succeed.
I really enjoyed this class. The only grades in the class were four online open-note exams and the lowest grade was dropped. The exams are based on his lectures and a film you watch for each exam, so it is necessary to go to lecture since his slides are just pictures. He does not allow talking or even whispering in his lectures, however.
Care about the class, only grades will be 4 exams and he will drop the lowest one, he allows notes during his exams, it is important to attend lectures and watch all the videos he posted.
Prof. Perreault was so nice and often added in funny little comments during his lecture. His lectures were always interesting since he talks in a story like manner. There were four tests, multiple choice, 40 questions, curved, one dropped, and open note w/ no hw. He cancels class 4 times for film days. Super easy class! Would recommend!
He is a good professor, although lectures are not mandatory, is it necessary to attend because all his lecture PDFs are just a few words and pictures. 4 Exams and he will drop the lowest one, he counts only letter grade but not exam average.
He is very passionate about what he is teaching making the course very interesting and kept me engaged throughout most of the lectures. The class is only graded by 4 tests though which makes it hard if you do poorly on one test. I think he drops the lowest test score though. You will have to go to lecture and take very detailed notes to do well.
This class has absolutely no homework, other than the days where he cancelled class to have you watch documentaries which he provides guides to. All four of his exams are open note, he curves the grade AND drops your lowest score! I loved his class it was so interesting and easy!! You have to attend his lectures though otherwise you will not pass!
Overall a very nice professor, slight accent but easily understandable. I found the lectures interesting and you do have to show up and take notes to pass. 4 open note, online exams, with the lowest score dropped. As long as you pay attention in lecture it'll be an easy A.
Amazing lecture and easy grade
Amazing teacher, if you show up and take notes in class you are basically guaranteed an A. Lectures and videos are interesting. Only graded on 4 online tests that are open note. Cool accent and tells a lot of archaeology jokes.
He's really enthusiastic about his subject and loves what he teaches but its just so boring. There's no homework or readings or textbook. You're only graded on 4 tests and have 4 documentaries to watch in addition to the test. But if you don't go to class you won't know the material since there's no textbook.
The class was pretty easy if you pay attention in lecture and take notes. Tests were done online and were open note tests. However, your grade is solely based on exam scores, and it is crucial to study prior to exams (even with open note) to ensure that you'll get a good grade. Perreault cracks jokes here and there and is a pretty chill professor.
I highly recommend that you go to lectures and take notes even though attendance is not mandatory. The class is ONLY based on your 4 exam grades (the tests are open note) but don't be fooled the questions are still difficult so study before each exam. The professor was super chill and passionate about the subject. Overall it was an easy class.
He cares about his class, but it's such a boring lecture it's hard to follow which makes it hard to do well because all the grades come from 4 open-note exams based entirely on the lectures. He doesn't post his lectures. You can get an A, but you really have to work for it. If it's not for your major, DON'T take this, not easy A, and boring.
ASB222 online is an easy class if you do the work. A lot of reading, each week had at least 2 chapters of reading and the chapters are long. Each week had multiple lecture videos, some long and boring and some very interesting. Take notes on the key terms they provide you with and you'll do well on the quizzes which are open book.
ASB 222 online class was very boring which made it super hard to pay attention to the many lectures and reading that had to be done in order to pass the class. Honestly isn't an easy A and isn't very interesting.
I got an A+, 40hr/week to get an A+. The exams don't allow you to go backward, so you can only answer one question at a time. I asked the professor why he did this as it makes it more difficult to gauge how much time you should spend on a question he responded with I am the professor, I can do what I want. No thoughtful or helpful explanation.
I took this class during the summer. What really made me mad was the fact that he would open modules Monday and have them close Friday. Another thing is that you have to do discussions and comment on other peoples stuff, but you can't comment on other peoples stuff until after the discussions closed. took off points for being early. go figure...
There's lectures every class, so if you don't go, you better be sure whoever's notes your using is doing a good job. There are documentaies to watch and he cancels class the day they are assigned, we also have to read a book, its super short and easy. He's funny and nice, and does a good job lecturing, he knows his stuff.
Fun and interesting. If you attend lectures exams are easy. He cares about us and is funny.
The whole class is graded by your top 3 out of 4 test grades, no homework or attendance. Tests are open note as well. But do NOT miss class, and take as many notes as you can. There's no reason not to get an A in this class if you follow that. He's funny and knows the material well and the class was very interesting, even though it wasn't my major.
The lecture was not mandatory but the material needed to be learned in class or you will miss questions on tests. Any readings assigned from books will be referenced in test questions, so read! Charles Perreault was a very enjoyable professor to have, and I would take again!
He is a really good teacher who is very passionate about his class. He really carers about feedback and knowing how the class is doing. Our entire class was based on four test grades that are taken online and are open note. Going to class is very important because that is where you get all of the information that you need for the test.
If history is in any way interesting to you- you'd love this class. It is all lectures but Dr. Perreault jazzes it up with personal stories from his past. Also adds funny slides. I left every class having learned something interesting. This was absolutely my favorite class of the semester if not all time.
I really enjoyed this class, awesome professor with interesting lectures. There is NO homework and the only grades come from four tests. The tests are taken online outside of class with lock down browser and they are open note. It's a really easy A if you go to class and take notes. I rented the book but didn't read it and still ended with a 95%.
Professor Perreault's class was my most enjoyable and laid back class last semester. The grading for this class was based solely on 3 out of 4 exams given throughout the semester based on lecture material and light reading material. His lectures are very interesting to listen to, but make sure to take notes, as he speaks 99% from memory.
Definitely show up to class. A lot of notes are taken so make sure to attend lectures much as possibles. Many of the tests are based on these notes. You will also need to read the book for the tests swell. overall easy class but boring.
Wonderful professor, easy A, tests are online multiple choice with questions based on lectures, a few readings, and a few documentaries. There are four movie days when you dont have class, which is awesome. Really nice and helpful. Class is interesting and sometimes funny.
I took Dr. Perreault's ASB 222 class in 2019, and I enjoyed it so much, I decided to take his other class the next semester. He gives fascinating lectures and is a great story teller. His classes are relatively easy so long as you attend all lectures, and they're graded on four fair exams. If you want a relaxing, interesting course, take this one.
attended 3 lectures and I got an A-. Watch the movies and take great notes of slides, review them before class! He mentions extra stuff in class that are on the exams so you will miss these questions. Lectures are boring so it is likely you will fall asleep. I printed out all of his slides so I recommended doing this and adding notes as he speaks.
Worst class I have ever taken. Caveat Emptor
Lazy Prof, makes TA's grade everything, he never responds to emails, no extra credit. Quizzes are worded to trick you. don't buy book you don't even use it. all tests are proctored only 1 attempt. content was repetitive and felt it was same lecture just different names. class was waste of time and energy. content was easy and still got a B+. AVOID
Fascinating content. Some of the quizzes have weird wording, and it is annoying that you can't backtrack. Ultimately, it's not that hard. Beware of weird due dates, as long as you know how to use the calendar function on Canvas you should be good. Again, extremely interesting lectures and modules.
I took Professor Perreaults ASB 222 online summer class. Take good notes on the lectures as most of the quiz questions come from there. Some of the test questions can be pretty specific. There were three assignments, they were pretty easy and not graded harshly. Have a buddy in this class as quizzes are unique & any Q can be on the exam
I took this as a summer class. The biggest thing I hated about his class is that fact that the next module would open Monday and close Friday. Me, A person who works 30+ hours a week, cannot get the unrealistic amount of stuff done in 5 days. Also he took points off for me doing the discussion early. hated his class. never again.
Prof. Perreault's lectures easy to understand and though the class was a lecture class with four exams (he dropped our lowest grade), it was super easy to follow along with. All I had to do was take good notes, and the class size was so large I sold my notes and study guides and made a killing. He also seems to really like what he does which helps.
Class was ran by TA's and there was no sign of the professor. A lot of lectures that you have to take in-depth notes in because quiz questions are VERY SPECIFIC. There are 3 assignments with 40pts each that weren't too difficult. This class is mostly just a lot of busy work and I would not recommend if you have another class that is also demanding.
Professor Perreault was definitely not a bad teacher, but for this class it felt like he wasn't there. All the lectures are given by various staff, which I liked because each person brought something new to the table, but even the grading was done by a TA. Overall I feel like I didn't know the actual professor, however the class itself was great.
I LOVED Mr. Perreault. Best professor I've taken at ASU. His lectures are super interesting, and he doesn't give you ANY homework. The exams are easy if you take good notes, but the lectures are so enjoyable you will probably remember most of them. Take this class if you want a passionate professor, new conversation starters, and an easy A+.
I really struggled in this class and got a B+ by my best effort. I had other heavy science classes and got out with As. The course is primarily based on 3 tests, and theres no textbook. You need to take great notes, otherwise you wont pass. Questions context in some of the exam are confusing. I wish there was a textbook to better succeed.
I enjoyed the lectures, mine were via zoom, but they would probably be better in person. Grade is based on 4 exams AND he drops the lowest score. I got an A- on the first 3, so I didn't have to take the final (zero was dropped) meaning I got an A-. Awesome
This class was super interesting. Its not the easiest but also not the hardest.
Professor Perreault seemed to take more of an administrative function in this course. However, the content and lectures in the course were great! I loved the opportunity to learn from a variety of professors in various lectures and each of them had great anecdotal stories they shared of their own archaeological experiences. A nice bonus!
Pros: Great professor, really passionate about what he teaches. Easy tests, attendance not mandatory (but necessary to pass the tests). Cons: The lectures can get boring and are long. That's pretty much it. I would 100% recommend this class and professor to anyone.
Very reasonable tests, pretty fun lectures, Read and study the ending slides and you'll get an A Also, I did and you can skip classes, just read and study the lecture slides afterwards.
Professor Perreault was meh. Lectures were INSANELY boring and exams were curved. While curved exams sounded like a good thing at the beginning, it made getting A's tedious as hell. If you want a B+ this is a solid choice, if you're expecting higher, this probably isn't for you. Make sure you attend classes, he goes over important notes in them.
The class is designed to be very easy so you can pass as long as you go to most of the lectures. There is no homework and it is pretty interesting.
I think it's hard to make any hour long lecture not feel, y'know, long, but Professor Perreault has an evident passion in his field which does make the lectures more engaging. Great sense of humor that comes through sometimes. I would recommend showing up to as many lectures as you can, as exams are based on concepts rather than simple facts.
Your grade in this class was based off 3 of 4 tests, the lowest grade was dropped. He posts the lecture slides but I recommend going to class because they don't make sense outside of lecture. You can tell he's really passionate about archaeology but the lectures were pretty boring. Less Indiana Jones type stuff and more scientific based.
No homework, 4 tests, lowest gets dropped. Show up to class or you'll be as lost as the first archaeologist trying to figure out what Stonehenge is. In terms of note-taking, copy-paste the Key Concepts at the start of each lecture into a notes program and elaborate on them. With good notes and studying, anyone can get an A- or better.
There's no homework or quizzes. Your entire grade is based on the 4 exams in the class (he lowers the worst one and curves all of them). SHOW up to class as the exams are entirely based on them.
It was clear he really cared about his subject which made the lectures that I would normally consider somewhat boring to be more interesting. All you have to do is show up, pay attention and take good notes on the key concepts, study those (quizlet helps), and take 4 tests (he drops the lowest one, I didn't even have to take the 4th test)
The class wasnt difficult by any means. Prof Perreault was present when needed and answered questions quickly. There is a lot of material to cover but if you buckle down and work hard, its not a big deal.
This class was awesome. The lectures were videos pre-recorded by various professors at ASU. The course was enjoyable and easy. The professor on the other hand was not available at any time. You will learn and pass if you read and do the work, but do not expect any responses or interaction from the professor.
He knows what he's lecturing about and it shows. Exam questions come right from lectures, and he is adapting his class to become more accessible (recording lectures, etc.). Exams get a B+ average. Only complaint is that he teaches in 300+ person lectures and seems to get really frustrated when there is noise. Of course it won't be dead silent.
This was a very easy and enjoyable class. Professor Perreault is a great teacher and his class is extremely easy if you try just a little. There are no assignments and you only have to take four tests (of which the lowest score is dropped). The tests are extremely easy if you read over the notes he gives as all the questions are pulled from there.
Amazing lectures. My favorite class. He cares about the students and you can go talk to him after class he enjoys the conversation and is very approachable
Awesome prof. class graded by 4 tests, lowest dropped. all material from lectures. I am set for an A. Low stress class, material is super interesting which is helpful. Grading very fair and questions are clear. Will be taking more from this dude
He is a great instructor and you can tell he is passionate about the material he is teaching. You need to go to lectures or you will be lost in the test.
He was a great lecturer, even though this class made me realize I don't want to study archeology, he still was engaging. You can tell he has a real passion for what he teaches. Only 4 tests in the semester, no other assignments, they're online and worst one is dropped. Just go to lectures and look over the study guide and you should be golden.
Grade consists of a few tests (including final exam) as well as two easy written assignments. You must watch/take detailed notes on lecture videos, as questions on tests are derived from small details. Reading (and buying) the textbook is absolutely not necessary, as the tests consist solely of questions from the videos. Tests use lockdown browser.
This entire class was graded with the best 3/4 tests. Really easy going. Use the key topics documents that he uploads to the class files.
This class was fairly easy, but the grading is horrible. This class is easy with minimal assignments which is nice. However, this means that it is easy to get a low grade in this class and your total grade drop by a lot. Be ready to watch hours worth of videos as well as reading the textbook. The quizzes have super detailed questions, so be ready.
I LOVED this class! Super easy & very educational. The digital field trips were an amazing experience! Pretty much everything is open book. As long as you fill out the study guides, you'll ace the class. If you need an elective to raise your GPA, take this gem! Prof Perreault is very knowledgeable & you can tell he has a passion for the subject.
Entire grade is made up of 4 or 5 tests, the lowest score is dropped. Tests use lockdown browser. I don't really go to lecture or take notes, but still end up with around a 30/36 on tests. cannot stress enough how important it is to go to the exam review lectures, as the TA helps you out with letting you know what will and will not be on the exams.
Professor Perrault is a great professor who very clearly outlines his lectures ahead of time to ensure they're understandable. He answers any questions you have in and out of class, makes the exams exactly what was taught, and even drops your lowest score at the end of the semester. I'd definitely recommend professor Perrault!
The class uses a percentile grading system, meaning that your grade is mainly dependent on how *other* people do. Coupled with the fact that this is an easy course, getting an A or A+ is hard. This semester, if you missed more than a total of 3 questions across all graded exams, you got an A- (this is ~96%, still an A-). Be prepared to do your best
Consider this class IF you have a strong interest in archeology. Lectures can otherwise be extremely long-winded and lackluster. In addition to a percentile grading system, a large percentage of exam question material and context is exclusively discussed during the lecture, so prepare to show up and take thorough notes.
Lots of lectures from lots of different people. Professor Perreault didn't interact outside 5 announcements announcing suggested due dates throughout the semester. The lectures were long, some mindnumbingly boring, and the textbook chapters were long. Interesting but long. You'll need to take more specific notes than you'd think
He is a good teacher overall, all his lectures and notes are usually on the test. Just pay attention in class and you will pass easily. The only reason I said 3 was because in my experience he doesn't really answer my emails when I had questions and didn't really help with grade questions.
NEED to go to lectures to understand the material or else read through the notes he posts. Lectures and notes are good to study for the test and the tests are basically off the notes/lectures. My only bad experience was emailing him, he replied to one of my emails days late and completely ignored my email when asking about grades. Decent overall.
Professor Perreault's class was basically self-paced. The entire grade was based on three quizzes and one final exam, and everything was due on the final day of class. My only complaint is that I spent $150 on a textbook only to find out the first week of class that it wasn't actually necessary!
This has been my favorite class of the semester.
I have no complaints about his teaching, he clearly knows his stuff. The class itself is relatively easy and only graded by 4 exams. He drops the lowest score. I would recommend this class if you have a deep interest in archaeology, otherwise the lectures can be pretty boring for you. He posts all the lectures and key concepts on canvas.
- No assignments, no homework, only 4 graded exams. - Your lowest score exam is dropped. - Very interesting lectures. - Impossible to fail this class.
Take this class. It's the perfect class: Almost no studying, literally no homework, and the most interesting lectures from a professor that's passionate and teaches well. I loved the class. 4 exams, one dropped. Really easy exams, almost all questions come from study guide. Just one thing you need to do: Attend all lectures, and it'll be a breeze.
All lectures, grade based only on your best 3 out of 4 tests. The lectures are boring and at times very difficult to understand. The review classes hardly help you know what is on the test, and if you miss a class your only hope is getting notes because the posted slides are mostly images. Can't recommend this class.
Professor Perreault's ASB222 class is a breeze - minimal work, but engaging lectures. Use unstuck study along with the provided notes to ace the exams. Just don't miss class and it's an easy A.
I would highly recommend this class! 100% of your grade is based on non-cumulative exams, and the lowest score is dropped. The tests (multiple choice) are really easy if you just attend lectures and study beforehand. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I would recommend going anyways. The lectures are interesting, well-prepared, and informative.
Professor Perreault was a good teacher and you can tell he loves what he does. He has a lot of experience which makes for interesting stories. It is all about anthropology and archaeology, so if you are not into that do not take the class. He gives a lot of resources for students to do good in class.
Honestly, I thought it would be a smooth course to raise my GPA. His lectures are so dense, and if ur not in anthro, you will not be interested. Also, his courses and interpretations of Anthropology and Archaeology are SO COLONIZED. I honestly thought he would take a different approach, but it's basically like going to a museum in Washington, D.C.
Very easy & interesting class. Difficult not to get an A. It is graded by four exams, and the lowest score is dropped. Lectures are very intriguing, and slides & guiding notes are posted along with review sessions & core concepts. Lectures, while fascinating, can be a little slow, so focus on taking super detailed notes in question-and-answer form.
Big lecture hall, but his style of lecture is great. He made me interested in archaeology. You can tell he cares about the students.
If you're passionate about archaeology, take it. Otherwise, think twice. Long, dull lectures with confusing terms, no interaction, and reused videos. Tests are all due at the end, with strict Honorlock rules. Feels more like a lazy, advanced course than an intro. Not beginner-friendly.
Horrible, horrible class. I've never taken a class like this before. It was so boring, and the way you are graded is just dumb. The whole class consists of quizzes and one final exam. The lectures are multiple videos that are so long, and the textbook reading is on top of that. If you have the opportunity to not take this class, then do that.
If you love yourself, don't take this class. The lecture videos were so outdated and felt like I was watching a video made in the 2000s. So dull and boring. I hate myself after taking this class.
This class is THE WORST online class I think I have EVER taken. The study material is not reflected properly in the quizzes and this is made worse with closed notes and honorlock. No study guide, only 'key terms'. The only saving grace is that it's self paced. STAY AWAY. THIS IS A GPA DESTROYER. All A's and this is my first C
Enjoyable class if you are interested in prehistory/archaeology. However, there is a lot of material and is really lecture heavy. I bought the textbook but you don't really need it. Watch all the lectures and take good notes, when you take the quiz he gives extra credit. Pretty good class but all videos.
took this class only reason that I received my letter grade was because I did worse than I thought on the final, class is made up of three quizzes and one final, but there is a lot of lectures that you have to go through so tip would be to do lots of studying as the test and quiz are not open notes so each grade that you get matters
The lectures are super dense and terminology heavy but Professor Perreault makes the classes super engaging. He's really passionate about his work and genuinely cares about his students. He's also super approachable both in office hours and after class. I'd love to take his class again!
I am genuinely so sad this class ends and I wish that he taught more archaeology classes that's how good heis. His lectures are presented as if they were stories, with evidence to back up those stories taking the form of tools that are used in the Archaeological record. Lectures are extremely engaging and he gives free exam questions if you attend.
Amazing professor, if you study a little it goes a long way in this class. No assignments only 4 tests but all of the test are fair and very easy. Amazing class highly recommend!
If you like Archeology, this class is for you personally I don't and thought it was very boring. I think it is unfair that your grade is only based on 4 tests the tests itself are not difficult but I know many people didn't get the grade they wanted and couldn't do anything about it.
This course is graded by four exams; is you take all four exams he will drop your lowest score so then you grade is based on three exams. The lectures where interesting but can get boring at times if you are not interested in the contents. If you take this class, make sure you look and study the key concepts before an exam.
Took Buried Cities and Lost Tribes. Only four exams, attendance matters, and the class is entirely lecture-based. I loved the lectures and the professor, and it fit my learning style well. Might be difficult for students with auditory learning issues or no interest in anthropology/history.
Professor Perreault is a very good teacher with a simple class structure. You have four exams in total, and whichever exam has the lowest grade is removed. He WANTS you to pass! All you need to do to pass is set aside time to study; I just made my own quizlets and got an A. There's also key concepts in files on canvas you can use to make quizlet.
