I was so weary on taking this class this semester. It's the hardest class at LSU. I dedicated myself to office hours and sitting in the front row. Charles is a terrible professor. Don't take his class unless you have to. He posed multiple long lectures where he often rambles and strays from the topic. He only gave 4 exams with no other assignments. If you get one bad grade, you don't have a chance to bring it back up. The tutorial sessions are the most helpful part. The class is a nightmare.

I think Charles is a nice guy. The only grades in the class are the 3 tests and the final. To get your final grade, it is literally just the number of questions you get right out of the 25 on each of the 3 test (1 point per question) and 50 on the final (.5 points per question). So there is absolutely no room for error. Material is pretty hard too.

Not as bad as people say, but definitely not great. He says recitations and exams are exactly the same, but tests are harder by a mile. Exams have very tricky/vaguely worded questions. He does pose on the desk during lectures and it's mildly discomforting. Don't miss recitations, lectures don't help though.

Grades only based on exams. 3 exams and a final. No extra credit, no curve. Exams taken at home. 50 min for 25 questions. Took this class for business admin minor, and I would argue this is the most difficult course i have taken for my minor (also lowest grade I got for the minor).

This is actually the worst class I've ever taken. I went to basically every single lecture and even popped my tire on the way to class one time just to be going into the final with a 64. He has four exams and those are the only grades. His lectures are pointless and boring. Literally just go to the recitations they are the only things that may help

If you have to take this class, take it somewhere else. The lectures are pointless and not related to the exams. The only thing worth it is the recitations. Even then, the exams are still hard. Also, no homework, exams are 100% of your grade. Previous students said there was a curve, but for this semester there was no curve and no extra credit.

Probably in the running for one of the worst professors I have ever had. He gives four exams and that's your grade period! No homework and no extra credit. Do not schedule this professor unless absolutely have to. Take it over the summer to at least getting a chance to pass.

Easily one of the worst professors on campus. Not only are the lectures pointless, but the tests are so much harder than the recitation sessions. Please make sure to avoid this class at all costs.

His lectures were quite pointless as he just rambles on about nonsense 80% of the time. Go to the recitation once a week and pray your TA speaks English well. Recitation questions are miles easier than the exam questions as the wording is meant to trick you. Unreasonably hard for an intro to economics class.

In the nicest way possible, he's a bad professor. The only grades were the four exams; lectures were pointless & didn't relate to the exams at all. If economics is not your major definitely do not take! I am a 4.0 student on a pre-med track, and had to drop to keep my gpa up even though I more than likely would've ended up with a B. Don't take!
