Class is easy. Misses class alot. An excellent teacher, upbeat and gives intersting lectures. He cares about students and gives no tests. YOu give three speeches and last one is optional. Class is an easy A. Our final was take home.

Chuck is awesome. At first I thought he was a total fake with how he presented himself, but that's how he really is: always happy, cool, understanding, laid back. You will actually learn something from this class.

This is the easiest class that I took at Fullerton College. The teacher is very clear and friendly. The subject matter is also easy. Participating in the class was fun. Take "Interpersonal Communication" from him and get an A.

Very easy class, friendly ,helpful...you can walk to his office anytime and ask him questions ....i mean i always have a very hard time with english ....but this was a very easy class....to the point where you don't even have to show up for class...Bottom line take him !!!!!

Few words could describe Mr. Schillings dedication to building within his students a foundation of confidence, knowledge, and control when faced with making presentations and speeches geared to motivate and enlighten. He was a hard grader on speeches. I took the summer class so we had to just give a good speech from the first speech assignment. But he is very animated and helpful.

Great, energetic teacher who knows what he's talking about and is passionate about it. Wants to help in any way possible, if that be letting you eat in class, coming in alittle late, or giving you on the side criticism.

Mr. Schilling is great. He is very comfortable with speaking and so down to earth you don't feel like you are in a classroom. I had him at 7:00 am and his class was great first thing in the morning.

this instructor is the sh**. He is really chill. there is some work but it's not hard at all. His class is all about group work, so if you don't like working in groups this won't be the class for you otherwise it's for you and it's an wasy A. Take him you won't regret it.

THE EASIEST CLASS AT FJC - BAR NONE! This class is unbelievably simple. There are a few tests, which are so simple and open ended that you can ace all of them without any studying. You are required to give 3 speeches, I gave one, and Chuck ended up cancelling enough classes so that I never had to speak again, and got an A in the class.

He is soooo nice!! Very easy going and cool I reccommend him to everyone who needs a speech class. He also cancels class a lot!

I really didnt want to take this class at all because I hate public speaking. It was ok. He was really nice though. very helpful. you dont really need to go to class that often. There are 3 big speeches and 2 informal ones. The midterm and the final were both take home essays

I seriously am in love with Chuck Schilling. He insists we call him Chuck. What I loved was that his class is very laid back and he understands if you can't make it to a speech. He grades speeches almost objectively in a way, and you're sure he is very interested in what you have to say. I reccomend taking this class!!!!! You won't be disappointed.

Chuck's class is pretty simple. 3-4 speeches are to be given. Both the midterm & final exams are simple write-ups. This class is an easy A if you exhibit confidence and provide interesting topic matter.

If you want an easy A then take Chuck Schilling. You won't learn much from the class but you will gain a great deal of confidence. I took it over the summer of 07 and the only hard part was trying to prepare a speech every one or two weeks while working full-time. This is probably the most enjoyable class you will have at FJC. P.S. Take him!

I tookl interpersonal communication with him, he is great. Friendly, funny, misses class a LOT. Easy A. You chose what kind of tests you want and there are only three. One group project at the end.

Easy teacher. One group project so simple. Easy grader. Grades tests on a curve. Misses often for valid reason. Bring something incase! Class is boring but funny. Do not buy the book you will never use it! On reserve in the Library. Instead photo copy the literally 6 pages you will need out of it. Attendance not required but suggested.

Misses class A LOT - which sucks because I look forward to people's speeches; also, because of him. He is seriously the most positive, fun teacher I've had. Great teacher! Super Nice! Only two speeches both of them with a group. Book is pointless don't buy it you only need 10 pages out of it and you may copy them. Projects are really easy. Easy A. Just do the small homework which is the 10 pages and listen in class. So easy! Definitely take him.

One of my favorite professors at Fullerton College. He is very relaxed and welcoming. Always leave early, about 30 minutes to an hour early and cancels class a lot. Yet still learning and if you are terrified of public speaking, you will easily be able to do it in this class. Speak about things you have interests in and it will come easily.

I love this class and is the best professor by far that cares about his students. Professor is funny and I enjoying going to his class every week. Easy group activities and two presentation. I highly recommend this class for students who don't feel comfortable talking in front of class.

Even thou some of us in the class were frighten of speaking in public, he made that "fear" go away by the end of the semester. He is very understandable on attendance.. the key to get an A is to show up and do the work. if you don't you'll get a failing grade.

SCHILLING IS THE EMBODIMENT OF AWSOMENESS!!! Every second of his presence was a motivation in life. He will hear about every aspect, opinion, and concern a student has... and will prove outstanding care and interest. I'm twenty-two now and in my last semester of college, and I can easily say he was my favorite prof. hands down. Don't do your speeches on some mundane topic; make them exciting. He gives you complete freedom, so let your creativity flow and make the best speech that you can make. Let your speeches be something you can be proud of. Take this class.

this was the second easiest class i have ever taken (first was theater 105). If you're stuck on a question on a quiz he pretty much gives you the answer if you ask. the only problem i had with him was that he cancelled class AT LEAST 6 times and did not notify us in advance. other than that he is a great guy.

Take your thoughts and fears about public speaking and multiply them by 20. That's how I felt before taking this course. Honestly, just form a great group with great people and you'll be fine. Professor Schilling is one of the best professors I've taken at FC! Took him during Spring 2015! He teaches by example and it definitely helped me learn and grow in my communication skills! Like everyone else has mentioned, he does cancel class a lot but his generosity makes up for it! Definitely take him if you get the chance! You won't regret it!

Where can I begin? He's the most nicest, laid back professor at FC. There are a total of 2 quizzes (one take home), a midterm (group) and a final (take home). All were easy As. He'll push back your speech date if you need it and he also does extra credit speeches on the last day. He's amazing and I'm grateful to have had him as a speech professor.

Chuck is very easygoing. Take his class during the summer! It goes by super quick and there's less assignmentsspeeches, I imagine. You'll speak a total of 7 times, 1 is just introductory about yourself, 2nd is wyour group, the rest are on your own 5-7min long. The very last speech is 2mins. 1 quiz on your own 2nd wyour group. 2 EASY papers.

I took this class in the semester , it's very easy , just show up and do your work you will pass with an A . 3 speeches and 3 quizzes all easy . Take him , he is laid back , just don't get into a group of annoying people .

Prior to Speech class, I was terrified. After taking his class, I not only liked and passed it, but I became a tutor for his class. I am now taking his Speech 105 and look forward to it. The only reason why he's absent all the time is because he has skin cancer and is susceptible to illness. Also, you barely use the text (first quiz, that's it.)

You give 3 speeches, informative, persuasive, and one that's either or. 5-7 minutes long. SUPER easy. By far the best teacher I've ever had. He is so nice, caring, funny, easy going. If you need any help or extensions he always gives it. I would definitely take his class again. There's no better teacher than Mr. Schilling! You wont regret it!!!

This class was really nice and friendly with its environment. He's a pretty understanding teacher who doesn't mind pushing back your due date for a speech and with only 3/4 real speeches you have to give, this class isn't much of a problem. Textbook isn't necessary.

I took Chuck for spch 100 and 102 and he was by far the best teacher at fc, participate and try and it is a Easy A. no homework, surveys for test. He teaches you actual skills hands-on rather lecture you to death. TAKE HIM!!

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I was absolutely terrified to take any type of speech class. CHUCK IS AMAZING!!!! He is so hilarious, understanding, and compassionate! We are so lucky to have him on campus. Taking Professor Schilling's class was one of the best decisions I ever made. He wants nothing more than to see you do your best when the time comes to deliver a speech and will give you great tips on how to improve. He grades mostly on confidence and effort rather than content, and at the introductory level, I feel that is appropriate.

Professor Schilling is by far one of the best teachers! Lots of group work, and his interaction with the students really helps you become a better speaker. Is there to help you learn and makes the class fun. The etext book was fine for me. Got an A in the class. Would definitely take again. If your shy, dont worry he will make feel comfortable.

Chuck Schilling is a fabulous Speech professor. He is very understanding of each of his students and teaches them a lot about how to become an effective public speaker. He allows students to choose their own topics whether the speech was informative or persuasive. Overall, the class is an easy A and very enjoyable.

he made speech so fun cause i was nervous, there were a lot of other students who were too. but i do miss this class like no other. he does miss days but he sends out emails which is nice. the whole class supported each other and it was such an amazing time i this class. the final exam is so easy. you do get assigned two papers but so doable.

He has lots of extra credit so I got an A without trying! 3 speeches w/minor at the end. Don't be afraid of the papers at the end, thode are easy too. Don't get the book, we didn't use it at all!

Chuck retired last year but I still wanted to rate him anyways. He's a rad professor who really cares about his students.
