Have to put some time in, but what upper level biology course do you not. Dr. V is a great professor and very helpfull

He cares about your grade...but the tests are hard and not always on material covered in the notes. I would recommend studying the chapters if you want to do well. Oh and go to lab

the stuff he has to teach isn't exciting, but he explains it very well and it very open to answer questions. must attend lab though....important info, despite being hungry as hell

Very good teacher. He give you every opportunity to do well.

He was a very good professor, could get off subject pretty easily though in lecture, his lectures werent interesting info to talk about but he made it as easy to listen to as possible, also as every else said, YOU MUST GO TO LAB!!!

I think Dr. V is an excellent teacher, to me his class is much easier than my 201 I guess becaause I have a lot of help with lecturing and he is very visual involved with hos lectures. No the class is not easy in fact it is very hard but if you are doing in the medical field you should know these things , so keep up the good work Dr.v

I love Dr V. He is very funny and nerdy, but he explains his lectures and makes you understand. If I would have taken him before I took Highschool Anatomy I might have passed all my 11th grade classes. He is a very nice person and wants us to know everything he knows about Biology. And he's kinda hot if you like the nerdy type lol.

I love Dr V, if you wanna know anything or just everything just take his class at Jeff State and you are sure to get into the nursing program. Only if you pass!

Dr. V is a VERY VERY hard professor!!! His test are EXTREMELY HARD!!!! BUT he is very nice and very helpful .... I have learned more in this class than anyother class...

Dr. V is a great teacher, but he can be a jerk at times, at the end of our Lab Final, he graded it in front of me,told me my grade right then, which was awesome,his remark to me was "I suggest you choose another profession, because you will NEVER make it in the nursing program"! wow.lets just say I took his advice,now I'm in Elementary Education.

He is very helpful! if you fall behind learning he will do everything he can to help you be successful.

Dr. V is an excellent teacher. His lecture exams are difficult, but his lab exams are straight to the point if you pay attention and study. I definitely recommend him, especially if you're going into the nursing program.

Mr. Venglarik is a hard teacher but he wants you to learn.You have to come to lab and class(it is mandatory).If you do study though you will make it.But the material is very hard and he gives a lot of material.Sometimes he gets off topic and then forgets where he's at for a minute.He has ADD and he will tell you constantly. But he is a good teacher

Really enjoyed taking his 201 class. The lectures are really interesting, and he only wants you to understand and learn! Will be taking him again for 202, ;)

Dr. V is an all around excellent teacher. I retained far more than I expected due to his enthusiasm. His tests are hard, but he does well to prepare you for them. I hope to have more instructors like him, but won't get my hopes up.

He is a great instructor. Very knowledgeable. Tries to help you to understand the topic he is teeaching on. Gives lots of helpful handouts that keep you from reading a lot of useless materials in book

Had him for 201/202 and he is very knowledgeable and very serious about class content. His classes are extremely challenging. Great teacher.

Dr.V means well... But his tests are difficult. He sets up his 202 class like you're going to be in nursing school. I have friends in our class that aren't going in to nursing school and are frustrated with his layout and expectation of us students. He is a nice guy and very helpful. But he makes things difficult too. He will challenge you! :)

The BEST professor/instructor ever!!!!!

At first, he comes across as self-absorbed and self-righteous, which absolutely is not the case. He is fair, friendly, funny, and is serious about students' learning. Course is tough, but tests come directly from class notes. Didn't use textbook at all, but illustrated lab manual and quizlet are a must! I would take again. Just be prepared to work.

If you want a true learning experience, not just rote memorization, take Dr. V. He is hands down the best!

Amazing professor! I started this class knowing that it was going to be hard, and it was. I have never studied so much in my life and in return I have never learned so much. I would recommend him to anyone. This is not the 'easy A' class. I came out with a B by studying my butt off and showing I care. Love Dr. V!

Definitely one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. He is always available if you have any questions. If you don't study you will FAIL. A ton of memorization. Notes mainly come from his lectures.

He's awesome! You can tell he has a passion for this subject and it comes out in his lectures. He teaches in all forms for thorough learning. Although a difficult class, he makes it seem easy in the way he explains and relates it. Take him for AP201!

Best teacher I could have hoped for to be my A&P 1 teacher. I took him for a Summer semester which accelerated things a bit and the class was pretty tough but he's a wonderful teacher. His teaching style really appealed to most of mine and my classmates learning styles.

Dr. V made me sure that I'm headed in the right direction and made me fall in love with Anatomy. Testing is slightly difficult but he is clear about material on exam. I really appreciated that I didn't have to spend money on a textbook. If you take him seriously, he will take you seriously. Take Vengalrik you won't regret it!

He is not a "hard" professor. The material is challenging but if your willing to put it in effort you will get the grade you want. I am a A-B one C average student and came out with an A because I worked for it. Study his material and you will do fine!

LOVE DR. V! Took him for 201, wish I was taking him for 202. What iI really enjoyed about Venglarik is he will tell you straight up If Nursing is for you or not.

Dr. Venglarik is a great professor and I've had plenty to compare him to. I respect his obvious intrinsic, lifelong desire to gain knowledge . He is the quintessential 'student's professor.' He is funny, clever but most importantly, he has the ability to take complex information and explain it so you can understand, a rare and invaluable skill.

The class is pretty straight forward. Whatever he writes on the board PERIOD, you will be tested on.

His tests are literally straight from the lectures and online lecture notes. If you just come to class and bring online lecture notes and do some side notes with it, you should do just fine. This class definitely requires you to put in quality study time. Just study hard and you will get the grade you are looking for. He's my favorite professor.

Dr. Venglarik is a great professor to have for A&P. He is able to explain complex topics about the human body effectively. He prepares students for the upcoming expectations of a nursing student. I wish I had him for BIO 104s.

Took him for 201 and 202 and received an A in both classes. He's very smart and willing to help you if you need it or explain a complicated concept. Study his lecture outlines!!! You get the grade you earn- studying is necessary to survive.

His lectures are a little long, but I felt the material was described in a way that made it easier to understand, and if you didnt, he had no problem going over it again. The only downside to him was it took him awhile to answer emails. You will definitely need to study, but if you put in the effort you should do fine in the class

Great professor. I took this class as my elective and did well.

Dr. V is hard but fair. He has a PhD in physiology and you're taking a physiology class the anatomy is a small part. If you don't study every night and go over the material consistently you will not do very well. 201 and especially 202 are weed out courses for the nursing program. You can learn alot from him even if he is scatter brained sometimes.

I took Dr. V for both BIO201 Spring and BIO202 Hybrid/Summer term. His tests reflect his lectures, but require critical thinking and truly understanding the material rather than memorizing. He is tough but he does that to better prep students for the next step. Work hard, study hard and he will be your biggest advocate. You earn the grade you get!

If you have the opportunity to take a class with Dr. V, do it. I highly recommend taking the hybrid class as well. Its not easy, but worth it. You have to put in the work to earn your grade but you will leave his class actually knowing the material. If you are pursuing a career in nursing or the medical field HES YOUR GUY.

I enjoyed Dr. Venglarik's class. The lectures can be a bit tiresome, though. I saw comments stating he is poor at responding to emails, and I only experienced this once. Overall, he answered my questions when I needed to communicate. He also gave me a second chance for an assignment in order to bump my grade up to an A since I was borderline.

Dr.V is great! I just finished his BIO201 course and am taking him BIO202 and 220. This class is difficult. Its not that its impossible to succeed, its that if you dont study daily and put in the work you will not receive a good grade, and I believe thats where the negative reviews come from. It requires consistent effort. I studied daily.

Easiest science course Ive ever taken. I took BIO 2 and if you just watch the lectures and take notes youll pass. The rest of the class complained so much about how hard everything was and most were going for science degrees so I was like good luck with that because yall wont make it if this is hard to you.

Dr. Venglarik is one of the best professors I've ever had the pleasure of learning from. The course will not be easy but as long as you pay attention/take good notes/study you will pass. He wants his students to do well but he prepares you for the difficulty of whatever program you are pursuing. Doesn't teach out of a textbook, he actually teaches!

Dr. V is hard, but he is a great teacher that will help you succeed if you are willing to learn. You will definitely have to put in the work! His lectures are long, but I feel he explains the material well. Put in the work and you will be fine

Dissections and lectures are easy,he gives you all the info you need in the videos. He gave me 100 on an assignment that I didnt do,so he might be slightly disorganized.He might be easier online than in a classroom setting from the reviews I read. Take him online for an easy A.

It is very hard so you can't expect to pass without studying many hours throughout the week. He does give a quiz every week, but would give a bonus in each quiz. I took it as a hybrid. The lab part was really easy just 2 exams and 2 quizzes. He will tell students how they will not make a good grade on the first exam. Which is true.

Loved this class!!! Dr. V is always accessible outside of class and makes time to help if you are struggling to understand a concept or procedure. Several hours of lecture video, but include EVERYTHING you need to know for the exams. If you put in the effort, you will do well in this class.

This teacher is hands down my favorite teacher of all time. His lectures are always great, and he has no problem answering any questions or concerns you may have. This teacher genuinely cares about teaching and supporting his students. Extra credit opportunities are often, the class is difficult only if you let it be.

Dr. V is great and one of my favorite professors I have ever had. Exams can be difficult but he provides all the info you need in his lectures - textbook is not used. Funny guy and has a deep passion for physiology and teaching.
