Statistics is hard anyway you go at it. Dr. Woods was extremely fair with his grading, and he made it at least stomachable.

He is a very good teacher, and is very willing to help you out if you are having problems. His class was never dull at anytime. I would recommend taking him for psychology.

Ok, to clarify it, the people who are downing Dr. Woods are either (A) a dropout, or (B) not a psy major. To be honest, if you have your head set on Psy and want to learn a subject, take Woods. His essay questions are somewhat tough at times, but the man will get you ready for later, more advanced classes. Highly recommended.

Dr. Woods was awesome! He's really funny, but you do have to study. But his lectures are really good and he gives you can print out most of the notes and just fill in the blanks as class goes on.

i am taking this course as an online course and really enjoy it and am a bit dissapointed to find that he is not teaching developmental psych which i have to take in the spring. he wants to see his students succeed he will curve grades on the quizzes. his writing assignments are usually very interesting.

Stats is tough but will prepare you for the lab courses, no way to make it easy without cheating the students. Lectures with the expectation that you have already read the text or done practice problems. Gives partial credit on exams. Excel assignments are easy, boosts your grade. Very willing to help outside of the classroom.

Take him!!! He and his wife are great teachers! He makes time for his students and is very good at further clarifying things that have you stumped. I came out lovin!g stats! Take him! He is great!!

Took him online, very clear schedule, curves most quizzes, offers a ton of extra credit. Awesome guy, must take him!

He had a sarcastic humor. Very funny. His tests were hard. He flies through the notes, so write fast!

Coming to class is optional but he gave a great amount of extra credit at the end of semester for coming to 95% of classes. Had him in a class of about 120 so smaller classes may be different. 5 test which were curved very well, many students made greater than 100. Show up on test days and you will be fine however some questions came from lecture

I loved Dr. Wodds!!! He was an amazing teacher! He made class fun and told funny stories. Sometimes he would even give you a kind of "free" question on the tests. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr.Woods is a wonderful teacher adn he tries to help when he can.If you take this class, go to class you get points for being there.

A pretty hard, but very interesting class. Make sure you're in class every day, as he always takes notes exclusively from lecture and puts them on the test. The notes are pretty useless as far as the tests go, though: Make sure you highlight in the book. Very funny though.

Awesome professor! Very down to earth and very willing to help you understand. He gave loads of extra credit. Tests are difficult and do require extensive studying, but this is college. Make sure you at least look over the chapters and highlight.

As long as you go to class and do the writing assignments it is hard to fail the class. he makes the topics of class interesting and easier to remember for the tests.

He was an AMAZING teacher. The tests were hard, but there was lots of extra credit. I failed a lot of them and still made an A. He explains things well and is fun to listen to. He made psychology interesting.

Dr. Woods is a laid back teacher. He makes lectures interesting and does not load you down with homework. However go to you class, write down his powerpoints and STUDY. His tests are a little on the hard side but he gives a writing assignment per chapter which helps out alot! All in all he is an awesome teacher!

He is awesome, the class is easy and fun. There is no reason why you should not go to class. The only assignments you have are extra credit and since they are extra credit you dont have to do them.

He is really good professor. He may not be the easiest (math isn't the easiest thing) but he is willing to help you learn. His test are computation and essay. You must know why you are doing the math in order to pass his test. Not that hard if you go to class and write down his notes. I would recommend this class to anyone who is majoring in Psy.

Dr. Woods was fantastic, helpful, insightful, friendly, and easy to approach. After taking his online class, I'm seriously considering changing my major.

He is very firm when it comes to his policy but overall he is an okay teacher come to class take notes & read can fail all exams and still make a B or even an A.

Dr. Woods is an awesome teacher. There really is no reason anybody should fail his class unless you just dont want to do the work. All our assignments were online and you could retake all of them until you got a higher grade.

Dr. Woods is one of the best psychology professors there are. Not to mention he's HANDSOME! If you need help he'll definitely help you out, but there really isn't much work except for the online classes which you can take as many times until you make a 100. The tests are just like the notes so if you take notes from the slides you're good to go.:)

Woods is a fantastic professor. He can relate to his students, he uses humor in his lectures and exams, and he is considerate to his class. I would recommend him to any aspiring psychology major.

I took him last semester, he's an awesome teacher. Although u might fail all of his quiz, but he will curve the grade lol. He mainly want you to take post quiz online and I'm sure you will pass.

Fantastic professor! I LOVED his class and hope to take some more. I took the online course and it was easy to follow along with and I learned a lot. He's really funny, even online!

I love his class, and the stories and examples he uses are always very entertaining...I have no problem staying interested during his lectures, and taking the quizzes is super cool with psychportal.

Read his powerpoint slides before the tests, do your quizes, and everything should be fine. Lecture is kind of boring.

This is my favorite professor EVER. I've rated him before because that's how much I like him. He will explain anything you don't understand, will check your homework if you have any, and he's an overall nice guy. Because everyone wasn't doing well with the tests he started giving us one question that would be on the next test.

Dr. Woods is really funny. His lectures are somewhat interesting. Im not big into psychology, just took it for a core class. I have made 100 on all the online quizzes and he curves all the exams. Overall its an easy B.

Dr. Woods is an great guy.He knows what he is talking about and is willing to help anytime.His tests are not the easiest(stats isn't easy)but he will curve. I never once used my textbook I wish I didn't buy it,I studied strictly from my notes and his powerpoint lectures.I know it sucks when attendance is mandatory but its kind of necessary in stats

Great professor! He keeps his class interesting. His tests are hard but if you do the quizzes and make an attempt to study, you can still make an A in the class.

As long as you complete the practice quizzes with 100's (which you can take as many times as you want) you'll make a 100 in the class. Supper easy.

Take Dr. Woods! He is super easy. I pass the class with a B+ and I barely studied. Take all the Quizzes because they are extra credit!!!!

I took this during the summer and it was fairly easy. Are assignments consisted of quizzes and essays which were a piece of cake. Take Dr. Woods you won't regret it.

Excellent lectures- makes it interesting and very easy. Tons of extra credit and multiple choice tests.

The test are hard, but he gives extra credit points if you take these online quizzes. So you can fail every test and still come out with a decent grade if you do the quizzes.

Professor Woods is an extremely nice man and I loved his class. He lets you out early almost every day and also will cancel class because he is so ahead on the material that needs to be covered. For every one of the 5 tests there are 30 extra credit points available!!!!! I didn't buy the book but bought the online code to do the extra credit. A++

Very nice guy. Attendance is basically mandatory. You don't really need the textbook itself, but you should try and get your hands on the PsychPortal access code. It's not required, but it's easy extra credit that really boosts your grade. Tests questions come straight from the PowerPoint notes. Very easy class. I enjoyed it.

I took him in the summer for General Psych and he is actually the reason that I declared my minor as Psychology. If you take it online, there are assignments that are due within the program that you get with your book. Practice tests and tests both worth a grade. Short writing required. Read the book and you will get an A. I finished with a 98%

Dr. Woods is quite the character. His lectures are amusing and quite hilarious if you actually catch onto his sense of humor. He enjoys laughing at his own jokes. Still haven't figured out where his tests come from, but if you buy the code for the online access, you can get a ton of extra credit from the quizzes. class is pretty impossible to fail

I looooved this class. I actually learned the material. Tests are hard but you can earn up to 21 points extra for every test if you do the quizzes online. Listen in class and take notes and you will make an A. The grade you get usually reflects the effort you put in (unless you are a super fast learner.)

Dr. Woods is a great professor. Will let you miss 5 classes without deducting from final grade. If you do all extra credit and take the post-test you can make C's on every exam and still have an A. Also the post-test does not affect your grade at all. Highly recommend.

His lectures are boring and long. I'm not a psy major so it was hard for me to get into this subject. The tests are in great detail so be sure to study hard. I never made any higher than a 73 on an Exam. There were extra credit discussions that helped me out A LOT!!! They are the only reason why I made an A.

This class is sooo easy! I made 70s on all my test, and I made over a 100 in his class. He offers so much extra credit! He cancels class all the time and he always dismisses class early! take him!

Dr. Woods is a great instructor. He wants you to succeed, and you can tell by the extra credit opportunities he gives you. Come to class, study, and go to the extra credit discussion sessions, and you will make a good grade in this class.

This was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken, but I really enjoyed it. I feel like I learned a lot, and even though I didn't do too well on tests I still did fine because he gives a bunch of extra credit. Funny and helpful I would absolutely take him again!

Professor Woods is awesome!! His tests are pretty difficult, but he offers so much extra credit. Lets you out early pretty often and gives 5 free absences. He lectures through his powerpoints, which he puts online. TAKE THE EXTRA CREDIT QUIZZES. They will help you so much!! Would for sure take him again.

Attendance isn't mandatory but if you show up the tests will be a lot easier. Tests are long, and theres only 5 and thats the entire grade. Lots of extra credit though, do that and you'll make an A in the class. Don't need your book at all, just print the powerpoints and highlight, his questions come straight from those.

His Test are Tough but He is extremely helpful and funny.

His tests are hard even if you study. But he does give out extra credit! Lectures are short and interesting.

Easy elective. Weekly 10 question quiz and weekly writing assignment. Quizzes are easy and writing assignment is easy and straightforward. I would not getting the book for online class, only signing up on Launchpad. You have no tests including no final. Quiz and writing assignment that's it.

Fantastic professor. He was my professor for Psych 1010, one of my first college courses. He was very thorough and detailed in his lectures, put all of his slides on the website for you to review in your own time. No less, he had extra credit quizzes online, which added points to your exam. Semi-difficult exams, but an excellent professor.

His lectures are very interesting and actually go semi well with the book. Be sure to do the reading. Its a lot of reading but he doesn't go off of definitions. He makes his own test questions and they are only semi hard. All in all its a great class to be in. He varies on time, he sometimes lets out class early, which is really nice.

You have to do a lot of reading in his class but all in all he basically goes by his own powerpoint. Be sure to do his extra bonus quizzes, they really help with your grade in the class. He's a really cool teacher and he has a sense of humor especially on his test they have strange answers that you know for sure are wrong. His test are easy.

Up to 30 pts extra credit each test, very easy to obtain. Show up take notes and really about 30-40 minutes of studying and you're good. With extra credit you can get a 100 and not even study for it.

Great professor. He offers 1 extra credit quiz per chapter worth 10 points each and there is 3 chapters on each test. The tests are kinda hard but if you do the extra credit quizzes, you're ok. You are allowed to miss 5 days without excuses and he lets you make up a test for full credit with an excuse and for half credit with an unexcused absence.

Woods is very interesting though he has a stale monotone voice. You really need to pay attention to his stories because he does test you on them.

Dr. Woods changed it up this semester. Attendance is NOT required, it is EXTRA CREDIT. you show up? You get EC. He uses an app called TopHat and it has questions, If you answer the question correctly it's 2 EC pts, if you answer wrong you get 1 EC pt. he gives up to 30 EC pts PER TEST. All you have to do is show up, honestly. I'd take him again

Hes really kind and actually cares about his students and makes time for their questions! He also tries to make sure he doesnt lecture for too long and doesnt give a bunch of homework. Also, we havent had to have group work so far!

Dr. Woods is probably the easiest psych teacher you'll have. Tests are very heavy but you get extra credit for showing up and answering questions correctly through an app. He gives you a PDF for the textbook too. I highly recommend him.

Great teacher. The class is not mandatory but if you show up its extra credit. He also asks 2 questions per lecture. if you get right it's 2 EC points if you try but miss it you still get a point. Test are easy if you study. He puts all his power points online. study those and the questions he asks in class and it's an easy A.

Dr. Woods is by far my favorite teacher this semester. All of his PowerPoints are accessible online and the exams are easy if you remember to study. Hes very intellectual and his lectures are always interesting. He has a sense of humor which really keeps the class light and enjoyable. Cares about his students and your grade. Take this man!

Dr. Woods was a great teacher and made the class very interesting, however the tests were extremely difficult. If you don't purchase top hat and come to class and receive your top hat points (extra credit) YOU WILL NOT PASS THE CLASS. I never made a grade higher than a 76 yet I made an 84 for my final grade.

His tests are kinda tough. If you show up for the Tophat extra credit, you can easily make an A. I highly recommend you read the book for some easy test answers.

Dr. Woods is great. He lectures a lot but allows extra credit if you attend class. Tests can be hard if you don't listen to lecture but most are questions from the book and questions that are asked in class.

Dr. Woods is one of the best professors Ive had. He is hilarious, accessible, gives excellent feedback that you will be able to apply to other classes, and exceptionally intelligent. The material is hard, however, this class was very informational, and the way he teaches it makes it fun and easier to grasp.

I took his online class. Tests weren't too bad as long as you read the book and study. There is a weekly written assignment which uses the launchpad that comes with the text book. The assignments were not difficult, but do make you think.

He is always willing to do extra examples to make sure that you understand. I wouldn't suggest missing too many days especially in a row because you will fall behind. He does do a much needed curve for most of the test. 5 test total. He really tries to make sure you pass by opportunities here and there for extra credit. ASK QUESTIONS!!!

This was by far my favorite class this semester. We had weekly homework readings with questions as the end of each chapter. We were not required to do the questions but it gave you a significant amount of "extra credit". There were four exams including the non comprehensive final. Each exam was multiple choice and had about 50 questions.

Tips: 1) Get the txtbook bc it offers a LOT of practice questions & q's at the end of each chapter that he WILL put on the tests 2) Go to class, takes attendance. Gives extra credit the last month of class. HIGHLY suggest recording lectures. He mentions things in class that are essay questions on tests. 3) Dont be scared to ask questions

Down to earth and so friendly. Has easy to follow power points and gets right to the point. Makes an open forum in class so you can ask questions and he has other explanations on how to do the work. Gave extra credit twice. Tells class what will be specifically on the test. Used book sometimes for studying, used in class for examples. Amazing prof

He is the best professor. The workload is super easy. Each week you have to take a 10 question quiz and a small writing prompt. Great man! I highly recommend.

Only took the course because I had to have a social science credit. Reading is moderate, and only grades are a written discussion and quizzes. You HAVE TO READ if you plan to pass either of those assignments. But it isn't overly difficult.

Hes very engaging! In his online class, he only gives writing and quizzes. They are all easy but require you to read power-points and the textbook. Gives really good feedback and engages with students.

Very easy class to take. Gives only quizzes and short writing assignments. There are outside surveys you have to do but thats the only difficult part.

While the material is challenging, Professor Woods makes it engaging and accessible. Lectures are worth attending, and using tools like unstuck ai can really help with study prep.
