Mr Yeager is a real nice guy, he really does want you to do well in his class. The topic is interesting and he makes the discussing a lot of fun. The book is basic and only cost 10 dollars. He gives study guides for tests and some work on goole earth which is actually fun. Im glad he came here from New York, his New York stories are pretty funny to

He is a very helpful and thoughtful teacher. I do not speak english well and he has been very kind to me.

Really good at what he does. Material is sometimes dry but he goes out of his way to make it fun and enjoyble. Hes always available to help with emails and has been a big help to me this semester.

really helpful with everything from class. its not hard at all of you read the book which is really short and do the little assgnmnts. there are study guides for the test and the questions come right from them and the power point. all in all its a fun class.

his class is pretty challenge but he will help a lot if you ask for it. i had a few bad grades but mostly my fault and did actually learn a lot in there.

Professor Chuck is a good teacher and his class is a good time. He bends over backward to help students and those who put forth effort seem to have no problem doing really well in the class. There are others in my class who aren't doing well, but they seem like 13th graders. If youre a 13th grader, maybe he's not for you. Otherwise, he's great.

The professor is a really nice guy, and he does try to be funny. Class is easy if you 1) go and 2) pay attention. He basically tells you everything that is on the tests and the book is so basic its kind of a joke. And the final project involves colored pencils, I'll leave it at that.

Without a doubt the coolest class I had this semester. I'm not sure if he'll be doing the beer-themed version of it in the future but if he does take it. Its a lot of fun and pretty easy.

Just read a little and you'll easily pass. Not hard, but some work is required.

He's the best professor I had during my time at NVC. He truly cares about each of his students, and holds them to high standards because of it. Highly recommended!

GEOG 1301 class was of interest to me for environmental studies degree. Teacher is extremely helpful with his students.

Rated as an easy A but only if you are willing to attend class and do some homework assignments on Google earth. If not then its probably an easy C. Yeager is funny and he does care about his students. But if he sees that your a slacker he will not just let you slide through.

Class is interesting if you like the outdoors. Reading assignments are short and the homework quizzes are not hard. Gives lots of extra credit for things like making memes and being able to answer easy questions.

Great class. So much h to learn about the world around us! Eady A if you show up and do the assignments.

I like Yeager a lot. I went to A&M my first year and flunked out, so when I hear some of the little turds in my class whining about how hard of a class it is I laugh. Yeager treats you like an adult, whether you act like one or not. You have responsibilities in class, and if you meet them you will be successful. And you will learn something too.

A good class. The focu is food and project is to cook food from differnt places in the world

He is the best class i had this semester and one of my favorite at nvc. im defintiely glad that i took this class before i graduated because im a lot more confident in the classes ill be taking at utsa when i transfer there in the spring semester. Thank you Mr Yeager :)

How helpful he was

This semester has been all messed up with the corona virus and these class having to watch on zoom. My other teachers have made classes almost impossible to do all the things they want but Ill say prof Yeager has been the most helpful of all of them. He takes time every day to go over whats happening with the virus and all. Hes a good guy for sure.

class has so many ways to get your points there's literal no way you can not do good in it. He's nice guy tries to be funny. Will help you out when you need it.

a really helpful person, and when my others classes left me for dead this semester by turning all the class to online, he was the only one who was always good on the email and having question time during the meeting on zoom. the class isnt the easiest one because he doest just let everybody slide through but he will help u alot if you are working

i took him for 1301 anmd 1303 and this one was online. the way it is set up makes it so easy even though there is a lot of stuff to do its spread out and theres never a ton of stuff coming at one time. Soem reading but lots of videos too.

I enjoyed Professor Yeagers class a lot. I was a JAWA in Afghanistan and have spent a lot of time reading comics (military maps) so I like geography and love the outdoors. I found the chapter on weather to be less interesting but the material on the land was great. I learned as much, if not more, in this class than any other I've taken. Thumbs up.

extra prof. assignments are many but most are not overly challenging. many are actually pretty fun, just stuff like making videos of hiking and things like that. google earth. was very flexible with things due to the cover shutdown. he gave me extra opportunity to improve a final project because the first submission was rush.

I really like his class. I learned alot about nature and the "great outdoors." Anyone who cant figure out his grading system (which is far better than my other classes) prob should look into the mgmt trainee program where they work rather than college. I highly recommend this class.

Just took this class for my education degree. It turns out I really liked it amd am thinking of getting certified for social studies now. He gives you all kinds of options for what assignments you can do so you can pick how you earn your grade. Other teachers should do it this way.

Extremely helpful, even beyond the scope of his class. Very fast response to emails and willing to sit down and talk with you like someone who actually cares which is not that common among professors no matter what they say.

Class is really easy if you just do the assignments. He grades real easily is you follow the directions and use the examples that are given. And if you ask for help he will absolutely give it.

Pretty standard online class although the some of the assignment have you using apps I never used which are pretty cool. He is far and away the best at responding to emails. Really helpful!

There is a lot of little homework but it is all really easy. he is very helpful whenever I asked him questions. He even zoomed with me on one of my projects.

Lots of fun. Makes you go out to parks for a bunch of assinments.

In my entire time at Vista he has shown more caring than any other indtructor to me. He helped me look at courses at UTSA for spring and fall of next year and met with me personally on zoom more than one time. I wish that all instructors took the time and had the heart for their studnets like Mr Yeager.

Absolutely loved this class! I've always loved the outdoors and nature so it does make sense but professor Yaeger is really great at teaching this class. His enthusiasm is really clear and it is contagious. When I go hiking with my boyfriend now I wow him with all of the knowledge I can share. Love it!

Just finished this class as a flex class so there was quite a bit of work to it but it was only half semester. The class was online so as long as you read and watch the videos he posts the assignment are not hard.

a good class especially if you like nature. The main reason I like him so much is how helpful he's been to me. I was in an accident a few weeks ago and he's really helped me get through the final and my project. He even helped me with my other classes. I really appreciate him.

Boom is free and assignments are pretty easy. Just do whats scheduled and you'll be good.

my English is not the best but he was very understanding when I have questions about the videos and goigle earth. I enjoyed his class greatly.

I wish he taught more htan 2 classes I took both of them and did well in both.

if you are a outdoors type person you will love this class. the main project is basically just going to a park and taking some pics and explaining whay you see based on what they book reads. you do have to come to class though, if you are a big class skipper you will miss out on a lot of things.

I really loved this class. I've taken some online classes that were a joke and required nothing, this class is not one of those. There are assignments and there is work to be done, but none of it is overwhelming. The final project is actually really simple, just requiring to a park and taking some pictures.

Dr Yeager is super chill and clear on his expectations. Its a class that you dont have to worry about unless youre a slacker. Read the book and do the quizzes and youll be fine. I recommend for the earthy people out there

As far as Zoom classes go hes about the best. Seems like he'd be fun in the class too.

I'm at A and M but took this class at Vista to save some money. I cnat beleive anyone is whining about this class being hard. If they think this class is hard, they'll last about a week at a 4 year school. Hes a straight up guy, let's you know what you have to do and then expects you to go don't. Nothing remotely difficult here.

An excellent class. I wish he taught more that fit into my major, but unfortunately not. I learned a lot this semester and had a great deal of fun in the class.

a pretty easy class. the book that is used is written like a grade school science book and the final project is to walk around in a park, take some pictures, and explain what is in the pictures. you get to take your own pictures and explain what is in them (so you only take pics that you can explain). fun if you like doing outdoors type stuff.

Like most of the classes at vista, you'd have to basically do nothing not to pass. Its harder than most classes but is by no means hard. The final project is a lot of fun.

In addition to the small textbook, there is now an online textbook, which I was not aware of until class began. Tons of reading required. Do the readings and watch Dr. Yeager's lecture videos to be successful. Make sure to take advantage of ALL extra credit opportunities. Final exam more difficult than expected. GIMB project fun, but a lot of work.

The usual in terms of how hard the class is. Def not a high school class. Two books, one is free online book and other is a little $15 thing. There is usually one or two little quizzes each week, a midterm and final and final project. Final project is easy, just basically going on a hike a taking pics of natural things we learned about.

Class is really organized. Little quizzes every week, easy if you do your reading and watch a few videos each week. He the only one of my teachers who responds to any emails. And was very helpful in them too.

Had as a Zoom class. Not really my area of interest but not a bad class. One book was really cheap, the other was free online book. Weekly assignments are easy. Midterm and final are open-book, open-note, open-internet test. Final project is about going to a park. Hes a nice guy. Tries to make things interesting.

THere are reading assignments and easy little quizzes each week, so its def not one of those if you're breathing you pass classes. if you want 13th grade then hes not for you. if you actually want to learn something then i recommend!

Last class at Vista, and my first online class ever. I am a returning student and not really comfortable with alot of tech. Professor was very helpful and my class was a success. There is weekly work and the tests were challenging but I actually learned from this class, which is not something I can say about some of the other classes I have take

if you're looking for an easy class just to get a quick science credit then this isn't it. he's a good professor, good communication. i just don't care about geography, was really boring.

Easy online class. It's very organized - like you do the same kinds of things every week (read, take a quiz or two). SO its kind of repetive but i like that in online classes. Final project I just took some video on my normal jog and made a project out of that. Very easy.

Whatever you do, please take this class. I have never enjoyed a class as much as I do his. The stories you read and the stuff you learn is so interesting and amazing. You will not regret it!

this teacher is amazing! you are given the txbk and lecture videos which will be heavily based on midterm/final! you are expected to come to class and already have read the chapter. some in class activities which are neato. weekly quizzes are easy if you read the chapter. google earth quizzes are fun. fair grader.

Just finished flex version of class and it was one of my best at NVC. It was flex so there was a lot of work but to other flex classes ive taken it was not overly stressful. i'm not sure what some of others are talking about of if theyre even in the same class, but i i never felt like i was bothering him, and he always got back to me very quickly.

Very straightforward course. Just go through the week assignments, which are pretty easy and do not take muych time. The test is allowed to use notes and your book. I did not need to ask for much but when I did he was fast to assist. A very good class.

Best class that I had this semester. Hes so much better than the other peope who teach this kind of stuff. Def recomend if you need to take a science credit.

Best thing to do is pay attention & take a lot of notes. Work on your project early! He is clear in lectures, funny & makes the info fun to learn. Any negative reviews means they didn't try hard enough in the class. Kahoots give a tiny bit of extra credit if you are in the top 3 but they are a review for exams. Organization of info is important too

good class. didn't really have much interaction with him except for the few times i emailed him but always was right back with me. assignments weren't hard, just a matter of getting things done.

Dr. Yeager is an amazing teacher and a caring, understanding individual, and I would like to specifically praise the diverse and accommodating teaching style he uses. Many would have you simply copy notes off of a slide, but Dr. Yeager also teaches with diagrams and pictures, which I believe helped me massively. In short, his class was wonderful.

This course was pretty easy. He is understanding and generous. He's a bit arrogant and can come across rude but overall, it's a pretty easy course.

Enjoyed this professor and his lectures. Easily was able to understand lecture material. The only issue was that grades were due on Friday so it's a change but it teaches you the sooner the better.

Professor Yeager is an entertaining, engaging, and enjoyable professor to listen to. While it can be easy to get lost in some of the information given, he keeps the subjects and course material very neatly organized and easy to understand. He was my first professor and, 3 semesters later, he still remains one of my favorite professors I've had.

Professor Yeager's class was straightforward. His teaching style, with a mix of lectures and visuals, helped me grasp the material. Unstuck study was a great study tool too. Overall, an enjoyable and manageable course.

Class was so easy; assignments were super easy I did not really read the reading material that was in the modules that were needed. I was able to do the assignments without them, he also lets you use the internet for help so it was nice and super straightforward. I really liked the class I would take it again if I needed to again :)
