He catches a girl on the same website that i was on at the same time. he says nothing to her, but when he came back around a couple minutes later, he stops his class just to argue with me. i asked him to continue teaching the class, but he still wanted to argue. Good teacher if you are a girl though.

By far the greatest English teacher I've ever had. I took the hybrid course which made it a little more tough to get assignments done in a timely manner, but he accepts late work for full credit. If you take his class make sure you have your major in mind because his 101 class has you do two papers that involve your major. In 102 all three of your essays deal with your major. Proffessor Morriss actually cares about his students. The overall grade really depends on the quality of four written essays. He is a fair grader. If you write the essays to the best of your potential you will receive a grade that reflects it. If you take his class you will leave with knowledge and wisdom that is useful for the rest of college.

If you need humanities credits TAKE THIS CLASS! Super easy. Essentially optional reading assignments. Uses an old textbook you can get off amazon for a dollar. Class consists of discussion, and a 10 question quiz every 2 weeks, class decides question topics. Also 2 papers 750 words, clear rubric, essentially if you write them you'll get an A.

Makes class interesting by relating subject material to professions his students are interested in pursuing. Genuinely a nice guy, works with his students on a lot of things. The whole semester grade is based mostly on 4 papers, professor looks at paper drafts in class and basically tells you how to improve.

Charlie Morriss is a great professor that really knows what he is talking about. When he teaches he actually makes sure you know that you understand the content. He is a great teacher and a great guy.

I took Charlie's class for my English 101 course. He was always funny in class and was very helpful. There was homework due quite often but it usually had to do with the paper we were working on so it was mainly just helpful. If you do all the homework and pay attention you should be able to easily get a good grade.

Charlie is a solid choice for English 101. He's got a great sense of humor and isn't all weird and eccentric like most english teachers. He goes into depth on the ideas and concpets for your 4 papers you write. You'd have to go out of your way to fail his class. Also gives great feedback and is very accessible.

He is The Man.

One of the best teachers I have ever had! He is a clear grader and tells you exactly what you need to do to improve. He is hilarious and likes to joke around. If you are easily offended, do not take his class. There are 4 papers with some small assignments in between. His class is pretty easy if you show up and put some effort into your papers.

Prof. Morriss is, in my opinion, an ideal professor. He doesn't only treat you like another person, he behaves as such. He doesn't have the "I am the professor, you are the dumb student mentality", even though he will likely tell you just that. He is truly an enjoyable person to be around.

Took his class for ENG 101 and 102. Teacher is great and super helpful. He literally gives you an entire template to write your paper from. As long as you can follow simple instructions you will pass with flying colors. Textbook is under $10

Professor Morriss was an outstanding teacher. His lectures are never boring and he will constantly keep you engaged. I love how he just roasts the students who didnt do the required reading, instead of giving them zero's. His grading is fair, and you will learn a tremendous amount from him. I highly recommend you take his ENG 101/102 courses.

Charlie tells it like it is and is very informed. I found him to be clear in his directives, fair at grading, and he is stellar at old school, new school, tech school style of teaching English 102-Hybrid. You will enjoy attending his lectures and writing assignments because in Charlie's class you write about your profession or future aspirations.

Charlie was an incredible instructor. He teaches more along the lines of critical thinking rather than forcing his class to MEMORIZE dates and people in those times. I found this class to be very interesting. I also liked the fact that he used an older book (it literally cost me $2 to get online) so that his students don't have to pay crazy $!

I loved this class, though I might have been the only one. Very dry humor. He gets to the point and is still interesting. I got 100% on all of my papers and it literally took me a couple hours to draft and a couple hours to finalize. Younger students did not seem to think he was a good teacher, just don't be overly sensitive and you'll love it.

This was my first semester at college, and Professor Morris helped make it an enjoyable one. Great lectures and an amazing sense of humor, he also made sure we understood the course material while giving us opportunities at 1 on 1 instruction. ENG 102 is, well, ENG 102. Not an interesting class. Yet he made it the most enjoyable one I had all semester.

Charlie is a wonder teacher! I've taken him for humanities 251 and English 101 and enjoyed both classes. He makes class interesting and I would highly recommend him. He is a very smart man with a lot of good knowledge to share.

Professor Morriss really grew on me. He really cares about his students (even though he likes to pretend he doesn't so much). No matter your major, you'll need Eng-102. This is the guy. You will learn to write a quality research paper. You will learn to write clear concise papers and you will learn to argue your point. He is fun, he makes a boring subject fun, and you will learn things from Charlie's class you won't learn from most other stuffed-shirts English profs!

Honestly, I've never given a review before, but Charlie is worth it! Very down to earth, hilarious, sarcastic guy who makes every lecture worth listening to. The set up for each class is very laid back and discussion based which I very much appreciate. Only grades are quizzes and two essays which are very simple. 100% could not recommend more!

I've had the privilege of having Professor Morriss for both ENG 101 and HUM 205. His courses are in-class discussion heavy and the test/exams are based off of those discussions so make sure you take good notes. He is a funny, sarcastic, honest professor that will set you up for success regardless of your major. I highly recommend you take his class

Charlie is a very down to earth guy. He has an amazing sense of humor and there is never a dull moment in his class. If you are in any of his English classes, you will definitely end the semester a better writer and researcher.

As someone who is terrible with writing I learned so much from Charlie Morriss. Hes a pretty tough grader in my opinion, but he does it to teach you. My favorite class I took so far in college but also the most challenging. If youre willing to put in the work to learn you will love his class.

The work is broken down into bite-sized pieces and as long as you do the work when it is assigned you won't have too much trouble. There are only 4 papers. If you are easily offended, DO NOT take his class. If you have tough skin and enjoy the banter, he's your man.

Charlie is a very good professor, he teaches in his own that you won't ever forget that the trip to Rocky Point. He only assigns 4 papers throughout the whole semester, his class is very easy and very fun to be in. Also, one thing I haven't figured out yet would be his fridge, how can he fit all of those things and not get any good ones?

Professor Morriss is a one of a kind professor. He is insanely funny and knows how to get on the same levels as students. All of his lectures are funny and interesting and he makes it a very fun class to be apart of. I have never met anyone as down to earth and honest. I would 100% recommend charlie morriss for ANYONE!

He is so good! He makes class time fun and tells funny stories during his lectures. The hw is just reading assignments from the book and it is a pretty easy read. There are 10 quizzes that you take in class and then 2 essays. Each essay is 750 words and is super nice! Definitely take him if you want an easy A but also learn a lot!

Professor Morriss made learning about cinema so much fun. He's super easy going, but you need thick skin if you're gonna be in his class. Constantly cracking jokes, and you feel like he really understands you as a student. Would absolutely take this class again; it was a blast.

I've taken ENG 101 twice (not charlie's) at MCC & dropping them due to difficulty. Charlie's class was my 3rd time taking the course. He was caring, helpful & made you laugh every single session. I actually looked forward to english for once! There's 5 papers during the course but he tells you exactly what to do. I will be taking his ENG 102!

Professor Morriss is a great teacher and has made HUM 205 class a very educational and formal class for students to learn about movie cinema. A well put together class and he is very challenging with the class but cares about what he teaches and wants the students to learn. A very passionate teacher and I recommend for students to take his class.

I can truly say that I know so much more than I did back in August as a freshmen. The class WAS NOT easy. But it was doable. This class is not for you if you are willing to waste his time. Do the steps as told and you will pass. This professor not only is hilarious but he knows how to segue his stories into the lesson. Tough class but worth it

Professor Charlie Morriss might be the closest thing we ever have to being taught by a great philosopher like Socrates, Plato, or Aristotle. It aches my heart to think that there are students out there who will never get the chance to have him as a teacher! He enjoys teaching and deserves a pay raise. Do your papers on time and don't procrastinate!

3rd time taking him, I had him for English last semester. He comes off as rude at first, but the more you are there the more you notice it is bad sarcasm. He does truly care about your grades and he makes everything as easy as possible. So show up and pay attention, you will do fine.

I really enjoyed this professor!! He took a rather boring subject and made it an interesting class! There are 10 quizzes and 2 papers. The papers were very easy and the quizzes youll easily pass if you study. Everyday is a lecture unless theres a quiz and sometimes he goes on tangents but still sticks to the subject. Very caring! Charlie is amazing. He's tough and will make you think but gives you all the tools to do a good job. Don't take the class if your really sensitive and can't take a (sometimes) harsh joke. If something he says bothers you tell him. He listens.

Failing this class actually takes effort. It's not time consuming whatsoever and you get a good period of time to complete your assignments.

Charlie is a great professor, always make class fun (even when its the most boring subjects). Although he does make you work for the grade. It is not something you can do the night before and get an A. Dont take this class if you are a big procrastinator. I would take his class again.

Try not to take things personal if a joke is made. Make sure to follow rubric for papers and MANAGE YOUR TIME for your papers!

There are a total of 3 major papers that make up the final grade and each paper includes about 4 assignments that pertain to the research process. Overall he is very funny and makes the class interesting.

Morriss wants you to focus on studying your carreer by writing argumentive research papers about a relevant problem and what you think the best solution is. I have never received 100% on my paper until I took his class. Be careful when writing papers. Youll either get full points or a 0 on some parts of his rubrics due to how big the problems are.

Charlie is the BEST teacher you can have. He is tough, but do what he says when he tells you to and you will not be overwhelmed. Don't be fooled by his harsh approach, he truly cares about your success. You will learn the most effective process for writing a research paper while exploring your chosen career, not an arbitrary topic.

Classes with Charlie are quite entertaining. I almost dropped his class the first day because I thought he was just a jerk, but as the semester continued I realized that despite his overuse of sarcasm he was an excellent teacher. Definitely take him if you're looking for a quality college level english teacher. His class does take work though.

It has been several years since I have been taught by Professor Morriss, however. I still remember his teachings as if it were only yesterday. I have had several teachers in my life who were either very "cool" or were very, VERY good at their job. Professor Moriss was and still is the only teacher who was the near perfect combination of both.

A truly wonderful professor who uses humor to make his lectures engaging and memorable. You can see through the effort he has put into his lectures that he genuinely cares about making you understand the material instead of being satisfied with simply telling you what you would need to know in order to complete the assignments.
