Fantastic person! Fantastic teacher! Everyone has the upmost respect for him. His lectures are so good it's as if he's a travelling minstrel telling stories. Warning: remember absolutely everything he says because it will all be on the test.

He was one of my favorite teachers. The lectures were actually interesting and kept me awake. Very fun classes, sometimes he even took them outside on good days. I'd highly recommend classical mytholgy for anyone looking to fill an elective.

Never taken his classes, but heard good things. I thought he was hot. I was already graduating & finished my electives when I met him. I have always loved mythology, and I thought it would be cool to take it with him. Maybe I'll go back and take it.

Charlie is one of the most laid back people ever. He really loves teaching and it shows. Take his class even if you dont need it.

I never took any of his classes (they just didn't fit in my schedule) but I was in the Honors Program. He has a great interest in his students and he wants them to pass all of their classes. He doesn't act like a teacher. He's just one of the kids.

Mr. Schuler is awesome. He makes the class very interesting and honestly, CLT1500 is my favorite class to date. Try to get this guy because he's great.

He's smart. He's interesting. He's gorgeous, and I love him. That's all I have to say about that.

Dr. Schuler is one of the most gifted instructors you will ever have. Even in a class full of people with minimal interest in the subject matter, he manages to engross everyone with his lectures. He's very clear on class requirements and a very fair grader. Just be prepared to write (we had five papers!!!) for this class (Classical Mythology).

Charlie is awesome. I never got to take a class of his because they didn't fit into my schedule but I went to Italy with him as an honors student and the lectures he gave there were absolutely AMAZING! He is one of the most gifted lecturers I've ever heard and loves his subjects. He is incredibly helpful and one of the best people I've ever known.

Ok.. so Dr. Schuler is a phenominal lecture. I mean this guy can get up in front of a class for 2 and half hours and just talk about the subject he's teaching. But beyond that, Dr. Schuler is a great guy. He will completely go out of his way to help each and every one of his students. That is a quality you don't find in a teacher very often.

Amazing. What an amazing class and teacher. I am taking Classical Mythology with him and I love every second of it. He elaborates on everything so well it is amazing. If you like mythology then you will LOVE this class. His class isnt very hard at all if you do the reading and show up for the lectures. You will learn alot about yourself.

Schuler is a great teacher. He makes the subject so interesting when he lectures. He gets so DEEP! We even had a few classes outdoors. Study for the Mid-Term very well because it is alot of overwhelming information, but as long as you read, read, read, you should do well.

I took Schuler for Latin and Myth back in '99. I wanted to be a doctor, and he told me that if I didn't have an appreciation for humanities, I would be nothing more than a body mechanic. I developed a deep appreciation for the classics, thanks to him. And I truly enjoy being a doctor who is more than a body mechanic! One of the best profs ever!

There is not a lot more to say. The other ratings pretty much sum it all up. Dr. Schuler makes his classes an entertaining and learning environment which is hard to rival. He continuously makes himself available to students needing additional information, even with his massivly full class schedule. Take him, you won't regret it.

Very good teacher, lectures were good and kept you entertained. Test and Quizes not bad as long as you pay attention, take notes and study. Never had this subject before and enjoyed it very much. Definately recommend if you are curious about Mythology

This class was pretty easy to pass. It required a few writing assignments, but they were very simple. It was a fun class... very chill. Dr Schuler also offers study sessions to help before tests.

BEST TEACHER i ever had at pjc. Makes classes very interesting and didn't assign much homework. The writing requirement he makes up for with explaination questions on test. Just take notes and scan over some parts of the chapter and you'll have an easy A.

He is my ABSOLUTE favorite teacher, and is extremely passionate about what he teaches. You learn a lot about life and the meaning behind it. I love mythology, so this class was the highlight of my week; and i developed a deeper desire for history/mythology/literature. You will always be enraptured in his lectures. Guaranteed. oh, and he's gorgeous.

Schuler is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He's compassionate; anything to help a student. The lectures keep you on your feet and you learn the material without even realizing it.

My pen flows with the vast information that comes from this man's head. Highly intellectual. He gave me a better insight on how the Greeks/Romans lived as a people and justified their foundation to set a pedastool for out generation. Although, I don't talk in the class, I'm inspired by his intellect and by what he has to say.

Schuler is a good guy. I felt like the tests were extremely difficult... I also feel like he's maybe more geared toward the high school dual enrollment students. He would forget to cover some of the material on the tests, which is stressful. Overall a good teacher.

Most charismatic, engaging professor I have had so far. All the students are enthralled with his immersive history lectures. A must-have professor. Very pleasant personality, not strict at all. Oh, and did I mention how handsome he is?

Schuler IS AMAZING. I love Classical Mythology! The stories are wonderful and he talks all the time bout his life, which is pretty dank. He's a surfer dude with the spirit of a 20 year old. You could never guess his age. You won't regret this class. *just watch out - his tests are fill in the blank*

His lectures are above the rest, and very informative. His tests are the most difficult of all my classes due to fill in the blank, but if you study well that won't be an issue. His finals are mostly matching so that helps as well, but he words things very vague to try and throw you off. You must know the characters well to pass. Loved the class!

This is my second class with him and it was even better than the first time. His Greek/Roman history was just as entertaining as mythology. He even gave us term sheets to know for all our tests (helped a lot). This is a professor that you MUST take before you leave PJC. He is by far my favorite to date. Made A's in both of his classes.

Dr. Schuler is an amazing, insightful, knowledgeable, and life-changing professor. I've been left speechless in his class many times. Vivid descriptions... perfect summation of what is supposed to happen to you in college. He is a great man, I have been brought to tears by his stories, and I never have a problem listening him go on about anything.

He's an amazing teacher, but his mythology class is extra hard. His tests consist of lots of matching as well as memorizing various quotes characters say in the myths. If I would have known this class was going to be so difficult, I would not have signed up for it.

Dr. Schuler is AWESOME and hilarious! I didn't even realize he was a Dr. until close to the middle of the semester. Most Ph.d holder arent that cool. Great energy, you will never be bored. If you take notes, listen and read what he tells you to read you will do well and learn something too.

Mr. Schuler is probably one of my favorite professors. It was my first semester in college, and he made it worth the while to get up and go to class at 9 eery monday and wednesday morning. He is so passionate about Classical Myth and really gets the point across. Quizzes are usually matching with a little bit of fill-in-the-blank. Great overall guy

He knows his stuff and is into what he's teaching. Goes off on a tangent because he's into the material, but it's a good class. He really loves what he's doing. Quizzes are easy if you study the notes. I only made a B because I didn't study as much after midterms, but if you read notes and go to study sessions if he offers it you can make an A.

Honestly, I didn't like him at first. He seemed kind of arrogant and at the beginning all the material was really just a bunch of gods killing and raping each other. I had the opportunity to take two classes with him this semester. He was by far one of my favorite teachers that I have had here at Pensacola State. You can tell that he loves to teach, and it shows when he is up there lecturing. Anybody out there must take him or you are missing out! He'll make you work for an A, but it's worth it in the end.

If you love traveling and learning about different cultures, than you must take this class. I have him for mythology as a night class, and I love just listening to his stories. Both of the books are not needed, he hands out a lot of handouts. His tests are not easy, but not really hard. You just have to pay attention when he reviews! Loved him!

Wow! Came into this class not knowing what to expect. I was blown away by Dr. Schuler's class. He is very passionate, helpful, and wise. He is easy to talk to, and if you pay attention, an A will be easy to make. Take a lot of notes, be attentive, and follow the outline, and you'll make a good grade.

Schuler is really passionate about the subject, and does his best to bring the stories to life, as well as make them relevant to modern day. I didn't think I was going to enjoy this class, but it's one of the best I've taken.

Mr. Schuler made me look forward to Monday's and want to hang on through Wednesday. The thought of missing his class was insufferable. His energy is infectious and his intelligence is overwhelming. It is clear, this is a man who loves to teach and to share his knowledge and experience with others. Astounding.

Fascinating to listen to. 3 tests (Greece, Roman Republic, and Roman Empire) with the last one in place of a final. Two essay questions and a bunch of matching. I felt it was easy, but a lot of people in my class thought it was hard. Let me say again: lectures were fascinating! No, you don't have to memorize a bunch of dates, either. Take it!

Really easy, wished it had moved a lot faster, but very interesting. Weekly translation assignments and quizzes over grammar/vocab plus a midterm and final.

As a teacher, he is a great guy and knows what he's talking about, however, he tends to ramble about his adventures around the world which is a waste of time, in my opinion. If he didn't ramble so much, we would've covered a lot more in class. Read at your own time to elaborate your notes taken in class.

Schuler really knows what he is talking about. All he ever does is lecture and show a few pictures, so pay attention and take notes. It is really easy to pay attention in his class though because he makes the material interesting. The only grades were the three tests we took, but they were easy, and he said what would be on them ahead of time.

Incredible professor. Truly passionate about what he does and hopefully I can find another class of his to take. Will have to study to pass, but well worth it if you're willing.

Very passionate about what he teaches. He covers all the material that is on the tests and tests are practically the only grades you will get in the class. In my class we only took 3 test and that was it so study for the tests and take notes in class and you should do fine.

Your only grades are your four main tests and a writing assignment. Pay very close attention in class, especially on review days. Hes very funny and easy to talk to. 10/10 would take again.

If you miss one day of class you will miss a lot of important information. There was only 4 tests so make sure to study hard and do not get behind. Other than that Dr. Schuler is a great professor.

Dr. Schuler is the best professor I have had so far. He is nice and caring and really goes out of his way to push students. Beware though! Don't do the work and he will make you feel bad about it. Also, he likes to quiz you outloud in class to see if you have studied. Do the translations!!! any humanties student should take his class.

I really enjoyed both classes I took with him and I wish I could have enrolled in more of his classes. His exams are very easy as long as you take notes and study. He ties in real life and his experiences into his lectures, which makes them very interesting. He is very passionate about what he does and you can tell from his lectures!

YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN. I am bad at focusing for long periods and all he does is lecture and strays from the outline, if one was even provided. Retaining information was difficult because some things he'd talk about were unrelated. You can tell he knows what hes talking about but I think study guides and some way of note taking would help.

Class is only lecture. Most of the terms came down to the last class before a test. Lots of study material given. Not hard class, but youre screwed if you dont show up.

Course was pretty much just 5 tests with no extra credit. He was really thorough with his explanations and I pretty much never used the text book all year and was able to get above 95 with notes from the lectures. Really enthusiastic about teaching humanities.

Lectured based. Your test grades are your 4 exams. Passion for teaching. Take good notes and you will pass.

Dr. Schuler definitely cares about his subject and it shows in the efficiency and engagement in his lectures. Make sure to review authors and characters before each test and you'll have a great time!

Obviously is very passionate about the subject and enjoys lecturing. The tests are just on a handful of basic terms and art pieces. If you can define the terms on the term sheet and recognize the art on the tests then it's an easy A. Plus there are bonus questions that can get you some extra points.

Man KNOWS what he's talking about. Been everywhere. No homework. All of class is based on 4 tests, one/module. MUST STUDY HARD FOR TESTS. He does a review day before the test covering EVERYTHING ON IT. Record him talking during that class on your phone, and memorize everything he says (its not that much), boom 100s. I got a A+ easy.
