OH MY GOD! You will regret not taking her class even if you don't need it. She is very very Extra very clear on what will be on the test and very generous on partial credit. You just have to do the homework and just listen to what she says and you will be confused whether to drop your 40/40 or41/4
For the first time in my life I understand math, she is an amazing teacher. Writes organized notes on the board and as long as you do the homework you will do well on tests. Extremely good at explaining concepts, and if you don't understand something she is willing to take the time to help you.
Amazing teacher. Best math teacher I've ever had. Explains everything very clearly and is extremely helpful. I highly recommend taking her class.
Though this teacher has an accent, all of her lectures are very clear. What i liked about her best is that she does give out tricky questions on the test. She testest you on what you really need to know. She is very helpful when you have questions.
UMG. Awesome teacher EVER. If you want to learn and have fun in this class take it with this teacher. You won't have difficult time in class. I got a B and i didn't do HW. So if you take it and do HW you will get a better grade than i did. luv ya charlotte
very easy teacher. if you wantto have fun and learn something take her. I got an A.
She is the best. Honestly, she is not one of those crazy instructors who wants to prove that she knows more than the students. Her lectures are really clear, and the tests are mostly out of the lecture notes. Defenetly take her; she is so sweet eventhough sometimes she looks serious. She answers your home work questions patiently.
She definitely knows how to teach. She's not difficult as long as you keep up with the work (just like most other math classes), and coming from a summer class, I really stress that point. Cute personality, genuine person. Attitude a little unpredictable, but still patient. And she's from Chi-Town.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my God. She is one of the best math teachers in GCC. She explains the lectures very clearly, and if you do the HW, you'll be able to get an A. Take her, believe me you'll NOT regret it!!!
she is one of the best teacher at GCC. I had her class during Summer.she explains everything properly and you just have to study her notes and do the HW.I am still looking to take more classes with her.
omg i dont understand why everyone says shes is a amazing teacher.....shes one of the worsttt teachers i have ever hadd...she is extremely unclearr with her teaching and i swear to god her goal in life is to makeee her student fail!!! cant stand her!!!!!!
As long as you listen and try you will do fine, she is VERY VERY clear, and honest to god, easy B, kinda easy A..
The best teacher ever.. It has never been easyer to learn math
One of the easiest nicecest math teachers in GCC. Just do the homwork and chapter review's and your set.
Ended up dropping the class, She is very bad teacher, but hey i never opened the book, i never studied, but i also will admit that her class is BORING AS HELL!! So i would always daydream. ITs like her class is always moving at one speed...so it gets boring and 75% of students end up droping the class. Her lectures suck, need more examples..uhearme
i like her...every teacher should be like her I dont know what happened to the last 3 people below me. shes very clear and specific. she will not confuse you and she is very helpful. yes she gives HW everyday but hey it for ur own good... i did all da HWs and i got mostly A's on the test.
Very unclear... made me think i was gonna pass the class and ended up failing when i actually did the work! Not recomended...
ok if you want to end up dropping the class and blame your self later take this class, but if you don't wanna end up dropping or failing the class don't take her. It's very simple don't take her she's horrible and don't know how to teach calculus.
STAY AWAY! FOR MATH136 SHE IS GOOD, BUT FOR CALC, SHE IS VERY BAD. SHE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO TEACH THE MATERIAL, THATS THE PROBLEM. STUDENTS SAY HER TESTS ARE EASIER THAN OTHER PROFESSORS, BUT THERES NO POINT IF SHE CANT MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. ALSO SHE LOVES PROOFS!!! AND SHE DOESNT CURVE AT ALL! 89.9 WILL NOT GET YOU THE "A." GOOD LUCK!!
She's an awesome teacher. She has a passion for math, so I can communicate with her pretty well. Very very clear about her expectation. She has a math sense of humor (cut and dry). She knows how to explain concepts until we understand. She doesn't follow the order of the book, but teaches in a much easier order. Take her if you really love math.
She is good explaning in her lectures. However, what she explains in class is not the same thing as in the book. What I meant was the wording. She doesnt curve like 89.3 to "A" whatever points you recieve that is the grade you get in the final grade. She doesn't go by chapters instead by subjects, which it is not helpful cause you get confused in t

Great teacher. Take her, you wont regret it. she is very helpful in class and explains very well. don't count too much on her office hours. there are no surprises on the test, she tells before what will be on the test.
She is the best.I am still surprised how can she explain everything that you can understand it without knowing English very well. Thanks her for being Math teacher as math is one of my favourite subjects)!!!!!!!!
Her class is extremely hard. She doesn't have a agenda she just walks in and start on doing exactly the same things in the book, all her lectures comes from the book. Her tests are extremely hard. We started with 35 students and we ended up with on 14.The paste of this class is fast so make sure you have at least 2 hours a day to do all the hom.
Best math teacher I've had. She explains the material so well you barely need to ask her anything. She tells you exactly what you need to cover and tells you whats gonna be on the tests. Good sense of humor. Shes EXTREMELY smart. Take this class. Just do your hw and study for a test and your garaunteed atleast a B, if not an A.
I love her! she was very helpful and clear. She tried her best to explain everything and made sure everyone was understanding the material. She is a little unorganized but who cares when it comes to math..she rocks!
Her goal was to teach every material that we needed for the common final. Every student understood how to solve the problem. She is a very good and helpful teacher and all you need to listen and do your homework.
Teaching style is very good, provides proofs and examples. Requires lots of homework, but you have time to complete. Many questions on tests come from homework. Stingy on allowing the use of formula's, requires you to memorize a lot. No extra credit to speak of, except AMATYC. Will only give hints on harder problems. Grading is very fair.
She is a very intelligent, nice, and organized lady. She really cares about her students. Tests are not hard ( except for one of them) The final consists of all the previous test questions. I liked the fact that she didn't make anyone feel stupid. Higly recommended!
She is one of the best teachers at GCC.She was an interesting teacher for me. I enjoyed being in her class. She is a fair grader too.Just go ahead and take her class. If you study, I am sure you will not have any difficulties. It was fun to have her class.
She is a good teacher and trys to help when you have questions. Lots of homework but it's not worth that much. Make sure she knows you are serious and at least trying to make an effort and she will grade you easy and let some things pass. I got a B.
the BEST
wow!!!! the best math teacher ever. i've failed this class before because the past teacher i've had was completely incomprehensible but with her, she was so clear, i mean CRYSTAL. i love her!!! she's lenient as long as she sees you try. just make sure to go to her office hours and make her remember you and your efforts!!! i love you ms. schulten. t
The BEST teacher I've had!!!! Really cares about you doing well in her class. Do the homework everyday...that is the key. See her during office hours. She truly is there to help. Hated math but now enjoy it. Earned a 'B' in the class but the final lowered my grade, still-- She is the GREATEST! --
Good teacher always helping when she can, go to her after hours and youll pass
she is the best teacher. she knows what to teach. u will learn many thing from her class
She is always in a hurry. Don't bother asking questions, she will not answer. Lectures are too fast pace, you loose track. Does not prepare you for tests, she'll give out practice test but no go over them (worthless). Me and my classmates had to spend LOTS of time in math lab! Lots of HWK> If you can, take someone else.
She is the worst teacher I've had in my life. I took Math 110 over Fall and I dropped the class because she rushes everything and her teaching method is basically read the book to the students. I found myself asking my math 103 friends to help me every time. Stay away from this teacher and go for someone else, unless you want to ruin your GPA...
Ms. Schulten is a wonderful teacher! I took her in the fall and she was really straight forward, do well on the homework and you will do well in the class. She always stays after to help and makes appointments with you at the end of the year so you can do well on the final. Extremely empathetic and wants to help you. Loved her :)
She's the best. very very clear, nice and helpful. I highly recommend her.
Professor Schulten is such a brillaint math professor! I came into the class hating calculus, and stepped out of it loving it! She explains so clearly, and spends a lot of time answering questions. She is very helpful, and prepares you for the tests. Calculus is overall difficult, but she does her best to make it clear. Thank you Professor Schulten
I loved this class!!! i had taken this class before w/ a different professor, and i ended up getting a D. I was in Schulten's class expecting to do the same, but i actually started looking forward to going to class!! crazy, i know. she explains everything well. tests are easier than the hw! highly recomended. if i ever take math again,it'd be w/ he
She is the best tecaher in math that i had i took her class and i got an A she is giving a lot of hws but come its precalculus she dropped the lower quiz u will have 4 quizes and 1 final test thats it every mnth u have one quiz and previews are helping a lot if u dont want a bring boook its ok even if she tells u no classwork opp 4 xtra credit
SHES DA WORST TEACHER DAT IVE EVER HAD.LECTURES R VERY DENSE & FAST PACE. HER ONLY DESIRES 2 ASSIGN BZ WORK. HW IS SO MUCH DAT U DONT LEARN NETHING BC U DONT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH TIME 2 COPY ANSWERS FROM DA SOL MANUL U CANT ASK HER ?S BC U WONT HAVE TIME.SHE DONT GIVE A****TT IF U LEARN NETHING. IF UR CELL GOES OFF SHE GIVES POP QUIZEZ.NOT RECOMMENDED
she is not easy at all.she has a funny accent. Also, She is not fair . her teaching sucks.u shuold forget 2 earn an A in her class. I would say this was my worst class in GCC that i ever had
she is a wonderful professor. all the questions on the tests are from the lecture, no surpise questions that we didnt go over in class. she gives a lot of hw but its for ur own good. for those who r saying the lectures are dense, she told us that its 2 classes at once if u couldnt handle it u shold have dropped out. work hard and ull get an A
easy class. easy quizzes and tests(straight from textbook problems). She cant pronounce "three" lol. a lot of work but easy A if u study. do not take her class if you hate proving theorms(a loooooooooot of proofs you r gonna have to prove on the tests.) Dont forget! She does NOT curve at all. (89.9 is B)
the best math teacher that i had !!! easy tests and easy grading. also her class is really fun and always laughing !!! love her method of teaching
She is a good professor. She will answer all questions, and give you study guides for quizzes and final. There is no surprise on her quizzes. She won't test you in something she didn't cover. Overall very good, you should take her
Lectures are way too fast, I had to read the entire book at home in this class. Test, midterm and final easy (exc. from book). Not a good question answerer....
One of the best math professors at GCC and shes wicked smart. Got a B like 89 percent :(. so that sucks but she prepares for class well and smokes through lecture alot of notes just bring a highlighter everything is from book and easier to highlight :) test are not that hard soem r a little tricky but pay attention and listen to her hints
I took her for summer session. It is an easy class but you have to put soem time into the homework. her test are really easy. I never had trouble during the lenght of this course. she is very clear in explaining and her lectures touch the main points of the chapter. I got a A.
Mrs. Schulten is a wonderful math teacher, even for those who struggle with it. Her lectures are crystal clear and her expectations the same. She is very helpful if you have a question and wants you to succeed. Love her, going to take her for college algebra as well!
I recommended Mrs.Schulten who wants to take math class.
If you are looking for an easy professor, you have hit the jackpot. Her tests are generally taken exactly from examples or homework problems. Homework is not too demanding or unreasonable, and though she does give quite a few quizzes, they are simple. She teaches well, sometimes going a bit fast. But overall a great class!
Charlotte is amazing. Her teaching and her tests are completely devoid of the usual unnecessary extra fluff, tangents, and frustrations that most math teachers indulge in. Super efficient. Maybe her tests are a bit too unchallenging but they make sure you understand the concepts. I must also say she's the most stylish math teacher I've ever had.
It's a tough class, but you have to study a lot and practice in order to understand it. Don't fall behind on hw and quizzes are fairly easy. Pretty interesting class, She's extremely smart and knows her stuff. I would recommend her.
vv Lol, I was wondering the same thing too. But I'm taking her because she's like the only math 105 teacher during the day, and I'm tired of taking crappy teachers like saber.vv
Do not talk in her class. She is an easy teacher if you pay attention. She usually gives you 70% of the exam questions. She doesn't allow cheat sheet and she hates cheaters. She's a real German so you better behave like a gentleman/woman. It was not a challenging class. Her lectures might be boring. Overall adorable lady.
I have learned more on this math class then I ever have in high school! She is a ver good teacher! She is willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself! She has an accent but it is very clear so there are absolutely no miss understandings! Sit in the front cos she uses the whole board! Very very good teacher! I hope I get her for all my math classes! Amazing!!
She's very helpfull and good at explaining things. but Don't fall behind on HW thats a killer in her class
I really like teachers like her. She's very clear to the point when she teaches, and her tests are pretty fair, a lot of the times based on homework problems. I barely passed with a C on her class, but that was on me. If I had the chance to take her again, I probably would.
Schulten is an amazing teacher! She knows her stuff and will explain it very well. The tests/quizzes are fairly easy if you do your homework (and she assigns quite a bit of it).I highly recommend her!
BEST professor. Explains everything thoroughly and her texts are hw problems. Doesn't try to trick you and asks very basic questions on exam. Extremely helpful. If you know the info, you'll get an A.
She is one of the best teacher in the GCC. She explain every thing really good. She is really helpful and kindhearted. I took Stat 136 with her and i got an A. The tests are from the HW so if u do ur hw u can get an easy A on ur tests.Def recommended!
i HATE math. she is VERY understanding, very helpful and not too hard on her students. i enjoyed her class alot. TAKE HER!
easy grader and easy exams
She's a great math professor who's able to teach and explain her lessons. I rarely found myself lost during the lectures but I have found myself bored from time to time. The exams and quizzes are based directly on the material taught. There's no B.S. I also found the final strangely easy. It was only 12 questions and was half of what we learned.
I feared math my whole life and had horrible math teachers starting 9th grade in high school. She changed my view towards math. I just love this woman. She's the sweetest & explains every little detail untill everyone understands. All you need to do is do the hw after class while everything is fresh in mind.I was hoping for a C but I finished w/A+
Clear teacher, very few people dropped. Her exams are not hard but are fair. i was never a math student but did well.
Her tests are semi-easy. She throws a couple of tricky ones which can throw you off guard. Overall, she is a good teacher.
The college should be proud to have such a great teacher. She explains EVERYTHING. I didn't know a thing about statistics, but after taking her class many things were clear for me, especially why stats is important in our life. You just need to do the homework and ask her questions. Her tests are a little bit hard tho its doabl.Highly recommended.
she's very crystal clear& very oganized teacher.i've learnt a lot in her class.if u listen to her lectures& do the hw everyday, u'll be fine ,cause her tests are similar to the hw questins, she wont give a question on test that she hasent covered .if u try ur best u'll for sure get an A in her class.thank u so much ms schulten u r the BEST !!!!
She explains EVERYTHING.Her tests are semi-easy. She throws a couple of tricky ones which can throw you off guard. but final was a little hard and too long.
There are four tests, a final, one project and lots of homework. You must attend class, share info with classmates and see a stats tutor in the MDC (that is not her because she isn't any help) in order to pass this class. Her only downfall is that she is not approachable what so ever. We were afraid to ask questions because she would snap.
BEST STATS PROF! She's excellent at teaching, very clear. Tough & strict, which forces students to do well!! You'll be thankful. Tests are basic, and easy IF you study, requires critical thinking, don't make dumb mistakes. Very demanding&fast paced class but best u can get. Hang in there! Final was based on previous exams :D THANK U PROF. SCHULTEN!
Very thorough and clear. Professor Schulten explains everything and is open to questions during her office hours. Very simply laid out class. Pay attention and you will do well.
This professor is beyond amazing. Take it with her and you won't regret it. She's the best! Stats can get hard, but she teaches so clearly that it is actually easy to understand everything. Her tests can be hard too. Just make sure you study the practice tests that she gives you and save the questions you have in class for her office hours.
Great professor! She earned her degree from Caltech and is enthusiastic about her work and it shows in the quality of her teaching! She handles the class well and adjusts her grading if needed for the class. Tests are a walk in the park if you do all of your assignments and review frequently! Would definitely recommend her.
extremely smart teacher! She goes over each problem step by step until you understand it. her test are extremely easy if you do the homework. No surprises. What she teaches in her notes is exactly what she puts on the test. only downside is she goes over the trig chapter so quickly you in math 110, you have to teach yourself with the book.
I recommend taking math 107 with her. She is extremely helpful, and a fair grader. Do the assigned and in-class exercises frequently and you will be OK .
Amazing teacher and person. Very clear lectures. Lots of homework.
She's an EXCELLENT professor but I've had reccuring nightmares ever since this class (forgetting to take "online" exams, forgetting graphic calc). Still, no regrets. Best prof!
Loved this professor. Incredibly organized notes, straightforward. Her tests are short and to the point, though not easy. I learned a ton from her and ended up loving linear algebra!
I took stats with her a year ago, now I'm at a UC doing research and I'm STILL looking back at my notes from this class. So incredibly useful/helpful. THANK YOU PROFESSOR SCHULTEN!!! :)
Brilliant professor! Genuinely cares about her students and makes sure they will be well-prepared for their next math class. She's a little intimidating but you'll warm up to her. I think she does an excellent job at managing the class. Her notes are super helpful! Definitely one of my favorite math professors at GCC. Thank you, Professor Schulten.
She is absolutely amazing!! Just attend her class and take good notes, she explains very clearly and keeps everything simple and to the point. If you have hard time in calc she is the best person to take!
She is the best math teacher ever!! Her notes are very straight forward and very clear. if you have any trouble, go to her office hours, she is willing to help you. Just study hard and take good notes!!
I did not enjoy her class what so ever. The environment that she creates in the classroom setting is NOT friendly/or comfortable to be in. She is very rough with her students if they have any questions or concerns. She does not do any reviews for tests/does not explain, she has you figure it out yourself. I did not enjoy her class. don't take her
AVOID TAKING HER PEOPLE! SHE GETS RED WHENEVER YOU ASK HER A QUESTION HER TESTS ARE HARD ONLY 10 PEOPLE STAY UNTIL THE END OF THE CLASS THE REST DROP HER CLASS.
Professor Schulten is very knowledgable. She made Calc 2, the hardest math at GCC, make sense. She's clear, and gives you all the tools needed to figure out the section. Homework is abundant, challenging, and very good practice. Tests are also challenging, but fair. That said, you're still responsible to study on your own in an advanced math class.
Lectures are as clear as black and white. Her tests are actually easy, but can be easily over estimated making the tests seem more difficult that it actually is. She is a very fair grader and grades based on progress, ie. If you arrive to certain steps in a solution credit is given. Final is hard. So hard, I could taste my heart beat half way in.
She is a very great, dedicated and experienced teacher. She makes you love Math, so you are always willing to attend and participate in her classes. Her exams are extremely based on what she has taught, her notes and the book's examples, nothing more or nothing less. She has a lot of office hours, so you can meet her and she will go over any proble
In one word, wow! She is the ideal teacher to me! .Extremely organized . Very Clear (In every aspect including hw, lectures, tests) . Masters the subject completely (Always ready to give the best examples and share fascinating facts about other subjects) . Tests cover everything she taught, she grades extremely fair! Just love her classes
I took Professor Schulten for MATH 103, 104, and 105 and got three "A"s. She is very organized and clear on what she expects. Make sure to study your notes as well as some of the problems on Webassign and you will do good on the exams. Highly recommended!
Professor Schulten is very smart! Her lecture notes are clear and concise. She doesn't teach straight out of the textbook because she knows what she is talking about. We had 4 tests she dropped one (if you had 80% on hw). She gives partial credit on tests, she wants you to do well in her class. She's also funny!
I got a B, but it is what it is. Points can easily slip away from your hands if you don't keep up with your work. Pay attention, drop good notes, and cross your fingers that it will work out fine.
Ms. Schulten was a pretty good professor for Math 136 (Statistics). Out of the 4 tests she drops 1 and also 1 quiz. The quizzes were easy and the tests too but just study hard and you will get an A, it is possible. With her grading, she is extremely FAIR. Be in class on time and there everyday and you will get an A if you actually put in effort!
Schulten's class was very straight-forward. Although I did not end up getting an A in Stats, it was my fault for not studying enough for the tests or asking for help when I needed it. Her tests are very easy, if you take the time to study. She does not like it when you come late to her class. There are a few quizzes throughout the semester.
Very inefficient professor. Treats class as if we're still in high school. For example, forces us to clear our desk of everything but our notes for lectures. Makes class use webassign to do homework. Anyone who has used webassign can attest to how bad it is for learning math. To her credit, tests are fair and lectures are clear. Not bad overall.
Her exams are easy, but I would say she is not a really good teacher. She teaches the basic stuff, but assigns the homework which is way more difficult. I would prefer to a teacher focusing on deep questions and giving difficult questions on the exams rather than a teacher teaching easy stuff and you end up learning limited problem solving skills.
Wonderful professor. She's really passionate about math and wants her students to understand as much as possible. She's definitely there for you if you need help. Math 104 is extremely hard but she made it a lot more manageable. The homework and tests kind of sucked, though. She gives you a good path for success, it's really up to you from there.
can't say enough about her. her class is straight forward and fair. her tests are not tricky and she does a great job of preparing you for what to expect on the exams. drops a tests offers extra credit. with a some effort and studying getting an A is very possible HIGHLY RECOMMEND
She made me LOVE math. take notes. Don't miss a day. Go to office hours. Math learning center or study in groups. U need to spend a lot of time doing homework (every odd) Questions are usually from even HW questions. review ur notes and book exmples. HW is collected . No surprise questions on the test. Exams are fairly graded. quiz every week !
Schulten is a fantastic math professor & makes math really fun! Make sure to have a fresh alg. foundation but she makes the concepts super interesting. The course IS fast paced & really amazing in general because she is very thorough. Prof is vocal about her thought processes when she is introducing new topics & her logic is great to follow!
I ADORE her. She constructs her lectures based on how students actually learn, not just straight out of the book. She made the class very simple and straightforward. Her tests never have surprises. She's very helpful in office hours. She's so passionate about math and really wants students to see why what they're learning is useful.
Math 110 itself is an incredibly fast paced course so be prepared for hours of studying . She gives weekly quizzes and there are about 4 tests and one final with the lowest test dropped. She doesn't try to trick you on tests and is willing to help you if you ask for it.
Honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had at GCC. Amazing professor and she does her best to engage the class. Be sure to pay attention during lectures and ask questions to prevent falling behind. As long as you understand the lesson each day and do the homework every night you'll do fine on the tests. The tests are very straightforward.
She has ridiculous standards. She teaches well and shes nice, and thats the good thing about her. But her tests are so much harder compared to what she teaches. Nothing she teaches matches up with the tests.
Professor Schulten is a gem. She notices the students who work hard so show her that you care. Do the homework and make sure you understand the concepts. She is accessible and very nice.
She's a wonderful professor with great lecture notes. Four tests that are very straight forward. Hard class but with studying and doing the homework you'll be able to pass it.
I have taken all of the advanced math classes at GCC from Calc 103-108. Of all the professors I have taken, Professor Schulten is the best. If you can take her, I would absolutely recommend. It's not an easy class because the math is still difficult, but her expectations are reachable and her lectures are the best of any other.
My favorite professor at GCC. Very adequate and has no problem admitting she made a mistake and apologizing to students, instead of automatically trying to pin the blame on them. Very caring and accommodating, you can always come to her with any questions and difficulties. Just keep up with course and do homework, dont try to wing it.
She is the only teacher I've had that actually taught math in a way that was so easy for me to understand. We used StatCrunch for the majority of the class and it was very helpful! I highly recommend taking this professor she truly cares about you understanding the material!
Doesn't curve, hard tests, easy final. Make sure you understand the subject conceptually. 89.999 is a b. Good professor, not great. She expects too much understanding after only one time going over the material; however, I liked how she taught. She'd often have students solve questions on the board. I found that helpful
She is truly one of the BEST professors at GCC. If you attend class, and truly listen to lecture you don't have to use the book except for HW. There are 4 exams, a few quizzes, 1 project and a final. In all honesty... the study guide pretty much covers exactly everything that on the exams. I would take her AGAIN and AGAIN.
she's amazing. one of the most amazing math professors i have taken in gcc. she really makes you understand the materially, and that coming from someone that hates mate and is really bad at it i was able to pass the class thanks to her.
She is the best teacher you will ever have. Very Caring, motivating, and dedicated in her works. I would recommend everyone to take her for statistics. If you listen you will get an A.
She's seriously a great professor. Always willing to help students and has a lot of patience for questions. She really wants you to learn and grow as a student. If you take notes and listen to her lectures, you can definitely pass. Getting A's in her class is very doable. I would take her for every math class if I could. I highly recommend!!!! :)
Best stats professor. Tests are exactly like her homework. Make sure to go to class and actually listen to her lectures. Mostly statcrunch. If your planning on taking this class with other hard classes you should be fine. You can easier study the day before the test and still get a decent grade.
I took her for 105 107 and 108. SHE'S THE BEST!!! Knows her material very well. If you have questions, come to her office hours or ask he in class, she explains it sooooo good
Know the material BEFORE you get to class. Class time is a 20 min review at best then you learn new material for the rest of the class time. She does a lot of mental math and doesn't explain thoroughly, so if you are more of a visual learner rather than an auditory learner, she isn't for you. Also, don't lag the homework and prepare to STUDY.
This is a 6 unit class so get ready for TONS of hmwk. She drops the lowest exam and quizz and gives extra credit opportunity. Be proactive and write answers on the board even if you're not sure. She will remember your effort and reward you. She loves math and likes when the student seems to be interested. Her exams are easier than other teachers
What a gem! She's what makes GCC an amazing school. Passionate about her work. She's precise and lectures well. I went to GCC for 6 years, and she's one of the best professors I've had.
Professor Schulten is the best math professor I have ever taken! She explains the lessons so perfectly that I always understand the homework. Her exams, quizzes, and the way she grades are very fair. She is always willing to answer your questions and go over tough homework problems thoroughly. The subject itself is tough so you do have to put work!
She's straightforward and enthusiastic over what she teaches. I think that's about it. The homework is ridiculously a lot and she doesn't really seem to care if everyone understood the subject or not. If you're already familiar with what she teaches and have enough time to manage all the homework, pop quizzes, and exams I recommend taking it.
Schulten is a great professor! She really loves math ! As far as tests, they are exactly like her study guides so its worth doing the study guides. She gives points on tests for at least attempting the problem if you were on the right track which was awesome. Lots of homework. Overall, shes great !
Her tests are not hard. A friendly reminder is to understand the homework questions and DO THE REVIEW PROBLEMS!
MAKE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION DURING ZOOM. YOU WILL NOT PASS IF YOU DONT. she is a wonderful professor, BUT U HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION.
Hands down one of the best GCC math professors on campus. She cares about you learning and can be generous with points if she sees you put in the work. Vector Calculus itself is not the easiest course so get ready to do all the homework and understand the core material. Recommend keeping in touch with classmates and helping out. Highly recommend!
She's the absolute best professor at GCC. She's an absolute gem. Love her and loved her class.
Professor Charlotte is clear in her presentations. She is well organized. Not an easy professor but definitely take her if you would like to learn.
Taking her class has been like a breath of fresh air. I had taken a previous professor at gcc for math 103 and didn't do well so I was scared going into Professor Schulten's class. However she's an easy to get along with person and explains the material very well. Take her class if you want to pass!
She's a great professor and very enthusiastic about the subject. She knows what she's talking about but can be a little vague sometimes. Overall it was a good class, but there was a loooottttt of hw that can pile up if ur not paying attention. Tests were a little difficult so make sure to study.
Professor Schulten is one of the best professors at GCC. Besides teaching material perfectly, she is also a great personality and is 100% ready to assist students whenever they need help. Exams are okay, not that hard or not too easy. You will love her for sure. She is very engaging and explains the material very well.
Always willing to help in and outside class. She's passionate about the class and good at teaching you what you need to know for tests. She also gives you work in class that will be great resources for studying. If you're not great with math you should be able to pass if you study and copy the notes in class.
There were around i believe 4-5 exams. There were quizzes but they werent too bad. No extra credit. And a lot of homework. She is absolutely amazing. I hate math but taking the class with her made me interested in math. She is easy to communicate with and if u have any problems she will answer them and make sure u understand what u didnt.
Can't imagine taking math with any other prof! She is amazing and tells you everything you need to know to pass. Always goes over any homework questions students have and reviews before every exam. She drops your lowest test grade and lets you bring a note sheet to exams. What else could you wish for in a class? She sets the bar high for math profs
She's a great professor. Homework is time consuming, but it is for most classes so just stay on top of your work like you should. I personally enjoyed her teaching style and she is patient when students need something explained to them again.
Professor Schulten is awesome! She knows her math stuff and can clear up any questions or confusion you might have. Her tests aren't too hard or too easy. If you keep up with the homework after each lecture and pay attention in class, you'll do really well!
The professor is solid, breaks things down, and answers your questions in class or whenever you hit them up. But, let's be real, you're gonna need to put in work on your own with a truckload of homework and research. Exams are okay though, pull off an A if you stay on top of the lectures and knock out your homework right after class.
Honestly such an easy A if you put in the effort, interesting material and Schulten is an amazing professor.
Schulten is an amazing professor who makes math engaging. Her clear explanations and study guides are super helpful. unstuck ai was a game-changer for exam prep too.
Absolutely an amazing teacher. I wish I could have her again but she doesn't teach any of the classes I need. Amazing explanations, great class structure, and very kind.
Professor needs to give more group work and less homework from text, that would really make a difference. She also should focus more on prepping stduents for exams. It would have been great if she lectured about the same thing more than ONCE. Overall she cares!!! & if you work HARD, you'll do good. Do not underestimate the workload. Long exams.
Schulten is amazing. I thought i was bad at math but she was so caring and helpful. You just have to communicate if ur having trouble & go to office hours, doing this i managed an A even tho math isnt my strong suit. Don't be afraid, speak up! I had to ask her about so many things and she was super patient and nice.
Out of the potpourri of terrible calc professors at campus, Professor Schulten was the alright-est option. A good amount of hw but the exams are fair. She has her moments such as throwing attitude at students who walk in late.. (strange considering its a college class) but is overall a kind person and is willing to help you! Good office hours too.
Statistics and mathematics are definitely not my strong suit, but Professor Schulten helped me understand the material. There is definitely a lot of work and studying to be done, but she is able to work with you. Her office hours are very helpful. She was a lifesaver.
evil. PURE EVIL. Avoid her at all costs for real math classes, not the fake ones like 132
Professor Schulten was an amazing professor. She always took the time to make sure her students understood all the material even if there was any confusion on the simplest parts. I went to most of her office hours and she would always clarify any homework questions I had. Very caring and thoughtful professor, would highly recommend!
The course itself is pretty hard, but professor breaks it down into manageable pieces and answers all questions during office hours. Also there is a lot of work to do, but it is because there is a lot of things to learn not because she is bad.
I love it when someone is passionate, kind, and smart. I did not do well in this class because I just don't like complicated math like this. She wished I utilized her office hours and spoken to her sooner about raising my grade and It made me feel good that she cared. Her lectures are fast paced so be prepared mentally and physically.
terrible professor, grading is unfair, she is harsher on the tests she grades sooner and more lenient on the ones she grades in the end, which can be a make or break with a grade. No rounding, no extra credit, teaching style is taking the easiest problems from the book and doing that.
She's caring, replies to emails quickly, and is easy to meet during office hours. She explains things clearly and answers all your questions. Speaking as someone not great at math, the quizzes and tests are low key hard, homework doesn't impact much for your grade, and there's no extra credit so it's not an easy A or maybe even C.
Professor put me on antidepressants. Least understanding women of all time. Grades differently based off your participation. Tests are ok.
I was so nervous to take an all online math class, but having Professor Schulten made it so much easier. She was always available for office hours or extra help, she would be VERY patient with any questions I had, and she was easy to reach when needed. At times it felt like there was a lot of work, but if u go to office hours you'll be fine.
