Um she gave me a huge hug and it sucked...also acts like she knows everything and rejects everything you say...don't get her unless you want to be belittled

Rude, unprofessional. She was ALWAYS unprepared for class. She would assign eighty pages of reading (articles), and then you could tell she had not read it herself. Then, she gave a bunch of students incompletes because she didn't finish her grading.
Not very hard. The labs were dumb, but there's no way around that.
Wastes most of class doing pointless group activities. Forced to learn most of the stuff on your own. Intentionally tries to make the course as difficult as possible. Totally unprofessional when you ask her for help. Absolutely pointless videos. AVOID
I had a hard time with her in principles, but Organizational Behavior is the best class I have taken at AU. I have learned alot about the personalities of other people! Tests are hard, but DON'T MISS CLASS!!
She is the most rude professor I've EVER dealt with and I have over 100 hours. She's always right and will make you feel dumb if u challenge her. Doesn't respond to emails either. Pointless activities instead of teaching.
She gave good notes, but then the test was nothing like what we did in class. Also, she's not helpful when you ask questions.
Ridiculous test; Nothing like what class covers. Too bad she isn't as cool of a professor as her husband (who is arguably the best prof at Auburn).
she's great! really good teacher - tests were straight from the books and her notes - gives you possible essay questions prior to exam (huge plus!) try to take her at some point and time - plus, we got to watch remember the titans in class!
Seems to be a nice lady , Notes are clear and to the point, but too bad it doesnt really apply to any of the test material.Studying doesnt seem to help that much.
She is very talkative and does not know what to tell her students to study for. I studied for a week and knew the book and notes front to back and made a 79 on her tests. Her GTA sucks and needs to get a life. The lab makes no sense and is a waste of time
not a good lecturer. she is so hard to follow in class and doesn't give powerpoint either. your notes will eventually seem to make sense and then the test is NOTHING like you would expect. she asks very random questions that have nothing to do with the notes.
Good luck if you get her. Her tests are ridiculous. Don't waste your time studying what she tells you to b/c it's not on the tests. Luckily, I think this is her last semester teaching this class. Wish I had known that.
Not terrible. Though we did stupid activities in class with the clickers, I found it to be generally interesting. Definitely go to class. Not having powerpoint notes beforehand is a pain, but it forced me to pay more attention. The tests focus on applying the theories learned in class- not so easy.
Terrible class; She is ridiculous, as are her tests. Her lab GTAs even admit that her tests are absurd and that the class is a lot harder than it should be. Her husband is such a better professor, take his COMM 3600 class, one of the best at Auburn.
I go to class everyday, and I have no idea where she comes up with the test questions. This class is ridiculous. I assumed I would get an A, looks unlikely...

this class is a circus. her notes dont help you on the tests at all. i seriously have no clue where she comes up with this crap. she has a chip on her shoulder and is making the class hard for no reason. remember that time she went to business school? oh wait...she didnt AVOID HER
Her class is boring. She doesn't even know the material she is teaching. Even if you go to her office, she's not very helpful. Test are VERY hard, but she scales them alot b/c everyone does so bad on them. No matter what, do not take this woman.

This is the worst professor i have ever had. Her test have nothing to do with what she teaches they are impossible. Her TA's(lab instructers) even agree that her test are terrible and that they could not even pass them do not take her.
JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER RATINGS, SHE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH AND WHERE SHE GETS THE TEST MATERIAL IS A TRUE MYSTERY. SHE REALLY DOES NOT WANT YOU TO DO WELL AND THAT IS OBVIOUS. The notes are a joke. She can't help you on a test bc she doesn't understand her own tests! Thank God the lab teachers are nice; Sutton is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. If you dont go to class, it doesnt matter bc you wont pass the tests even if you go to class!
It wasn't that bad. I never went to class and I got a B. Buy the U notes and you'll be fine. The part that sucked is that you have your tests at 8pm

Thought she seemed pretty nice, though I never had a conversation with her. I also quit going after the second test, and I don't think it hurt me any. Read the book (she tells you exactly which pages) and take notes during the lab movies!
such a joke! this class should not have been hard--it's a principles class and she acts like it is for a doctorate! test ques are about relating these theories and they really don't relate at all!! lab grade doesn't help at all. a LOT of work for VERY little points. don't take her!!!
Test are ridiculous, class lecture and university notes not helpful. Your only hope is to read the book, try and avoid like the black death....although she will help individuals even though class is large (just to be fair)
Awesome professor-get to know her-she likes the interaction. She had us to her house for food & a game one night which was awesome! We watched remember the titans & I can still apply mngt behaviors to the coaches & relate it to business-I enjoyed the class-exams weren't bad-gave detaied study guides
tests impossible, lab boring, class boring. dont know what to tell anyone to help, but what everyone says is true. shes a horrible teacher and thank goodness for lab grades b/c thats the only way i pulled off a B.
Hard, but not as bad as made out to be. You don't really have to go to class - for the little effort I put into it, I still somehow came out with a B in her class. The tests are hard, but it is college, so study some!

If your lazy you won't do well in this class. Yeah it helps to actually go to class. She is very helpful and responds to e-mails even though she has tons of students. You will learn ALOT in this class. Tests are difficult but not impossible. You actually learn something in this class. Imagine that!

terrible professor, one of the worst in the entire college of business. I got a B in her class, but let me tell you that everything on her tests will make you say, "hmmm we never covered this in class" she is awful. she has no busines being a college prof.

VERY HARD PROFESSOR! Studying for her tests was like pretaring for torture sessions. She picks the stupidest little detail from the book that you would never even think is significant and asks three questions about it on the test. Study your butt off if you have her...and then pray!
I think someone mistyped and told her she was teaching gradE school and not grad school.At the beginning,I tried to study the broad,reaching concepts that would be helpful for years to come.At the end,I was studying the most obscure and generally worthless facts I could find.(One test question was how many lines and words should be on a pwpt slide)
Dr. Sutton truly cares about her students and wants to get to know them. Go to class and participate and she will get to know you and like you. Just show that you care. She gives detailed reviews and if you just follow those, the class is easy. She shows lots of vidoes too and there are lots of class activities, so it's not always boring lectur
Easy, enjoyable. Tests had multiple choice and short essay. When taking notes, write down both her definitions and examples, because she'll test your understanding of material using hypothetical situations. DO NOT turn down bonus-point opportunities, and if you need extra help, be sure to ask her. She'll help.
She is such a sweet lady. She made the class interesting. MC questions are only 1.5 points each. She gives the essay questions ahead of time so be sure to do them. If you go to class and study a little bit, you should make at the lowest a B.
Lots of theories to understand! Not impossible, but requires a lot of study time. I started studying 2-3 days before each test and made A's on all three. Not impossible, but if you are taking other classes that require lots of study time too you might struggle a little. I think she's a liberal.
This lady is worthless. She does not prepare you well for the tests. She asks random questions. I got an A but I hated every minute of class. She will treat everyone like they are 10. I honestly don't know how she got a job she thinks she is a lot smarter than she is.
Awesome Teacher! She is such a nice lady and she actually doesn't use powerpoint slides...i didn't know that existed in COB. Her classes are fun and her tests aren't bad. She gives you a review sheet that has everything from the test, including essays. It takes a while to do the study sheet, but if you do it and study it the tests are so easy.
HARD!, Her day to day lecture is not bad at all, she even gives points for coming to class, but her test are redicilous!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS WORTHLESS, she doesnt prepare you well either, doesnt use power point and expects you to write what she says out of her mouth!!!
Come on guys, if you can't make a good grade in this class, you gotta (re)learn how to study. Yes, she expects you to "write what she says out of her mouth" because those words coming out are the exact topics that are going to appear on the test. Read the book, write the notes, go to class, and study by the review sheet.Easy A for regular students.
She is an excellent professor!! Super nice and gives bonus points for coming to class! Also gives 2 bonus points for taking a survey! Go to class and go over the study guide and you should be fine!! Very interesting!
This class was a ridiculous waste of my time. It was full of things any normal person would know just from common sense, and she is a very strict grader. Sutton seems nice, but I didn't learn a thing from her in this class. Honestly. Total waste of my time, I could have saved 3 hours of time on monday evenings.

Don't sign up for extra credit/mandatory assignments. Gives hard tests, some of her questions don't even make sense. she wastes so much time taking attendance nearly everyday but not mandatory to come. Nice lady but your class is awful.
was scared of this class b/c of previous comments but i really liked Dr. Sutton! she takes attendance randomly so you dont always have to go but some days she'll give bonus that adds points to end of grade...so go!but follow study guide & read what it says for the book & you should be fine. do one of the extra credit assignment its too easy not to!
She goes over the material well enough, but her tests are very hard. She will give examples and you have to pick which style it demonstrates and some of them can be tricky.
Seriusly? Why is she allowed to teach at AU? This woman is the worst professor I've ever had. She showed up 20 minutes late to the first session and still counted off students for being late. She's a hypocrite, an unfair professor, and an altogether unpleasant individual. Worst class experience of my life.
Ms. Sutton is a decent teacher. She provides the material very well but had some ridiculous demonstrations. Her test have got to be some of the most confusing I've ever seen. I made a B thanks to the material being fairly easy and a ton of extra credit. GO TO CLASS!

I really liked her!!! she used a lot of examples to help us understand certain concepts. She also gave bonus points to reward us every now and then. Not only is she a great teacher, she's a good person. When I couldn't be there because I was ill, she called to check on me. TAKE HER for management if you can!SHES GREAT and the class isn't very hard!

Probably the worst teacher I have ever had at Auburn. Comprehensive final exam when we hadn't had a test since October. I studied 20 hours for this test, knew my study guide up and down word for word and her test was completely ridiculous. Knows what she is talking about but not a good teacher.
Dr. Sutton is a good teacher. She explained the material very well and showed us movies and fun video clips. Her tests are a little long with one essay question. But the essay part is not difficult because she gives a review sheet and possible essay questions for each test. She gives bonus points if you go to class and/or participate in activities.
Do not take Dr.Sutton for MNGT.This is a basic principle class, and she made it way harder than it is supposed to be.Theres other teachers who are WAY easier, take them!She bases your grade on 3 exams and a participation grade, which you must talk a lot in class to get full credit.Her tests are confusing, and way more difficult than they should be.
Rather of had the swine flu. Her tests are very long, very specific, & harder than they need to be. 16pt essay on midterm, i wrote 1/2 a page of info, which was 1/2 right & got 2 points. Plus, she's got helmet hair.

Took her over the summer and did not have any problems in her class. Test were a little difficult, but if you study well a "b" shouldn't be too hard to get at all.
She is a nice lady, really helpful if you ask for it. Her tests are somewhat difficult but if you put a little effort into reading the book and attending class, you should make at least a B. I had a solid B after the final, but she looks at attendance which really helps your grade in the end. She's not a bad choice but I'm sure there's easier prof.

Take the advice I did not and GET OUT. She doesn't even qualify to teach this course, but that's not the point. She expects you to be responsible for work she doesn't even cover, her tests are WAY too in depth (i.e. memorizing OBSCURE percentages from the text). I wish I'd taken someone else. Suck up & memorize your book if you take this.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGUE. I have never accused a teacher of playing favorites, but she definitely does. I felt like I was in elementary schools. Assigned seats with NAME TAGS. Seriously? She's such a joke. Get on her good side in the first week, or you can forget an A!
I still have no idea how she is qualified to teach. She thinks everyone in her class is in kindergarten, and runs the class like they are. Does not respect students at all. Plays favorites. Boring as anything. The material is spoon-fed like you're disabled, and it's not interesting. Does not like different opinions. Do I need to tell you to avoid?
Good class, good teacher. Not a easy class. If you're looking for an easy A, take someone else; attendance is mandatory and absolutely necessary for success. Tests consist of multiple choice, essays, and fill-in-the-blank and are very difficult, but fair. If you want to be a CEO/COO, take her, you'll learn alot. If youre just in for the grade,dont.
All her test contains mostly essay. If she does not like you she will count your answer incorrect even if you write the same answer as someone else that she counted correct. Her explanation to me was she changed how shewas grading the question as she was grading it and his must have been graded before she made the change. Avoid her at all cost!!!!
Since this was a one-hour class, we just went on a retreat, gave a presentation, and did a take-home final. She was a picky grader on the presentation, but the final exam was easy, six essay questions from the retreat material. Just make sure to make eye contact during the presentation at her house or she'll take off points.
Dr. Sutton is sweet. Her class is not hard but you need to write down everything because test are comprised of the notes. She is trying to make better speakers so be prepared for a lot of time in front of the class. All easy, don't let it freak you out. Tests do have essays but not long, nothing to cry about. Appreciate the fact that she's nice.
Avoid her if you can. She isn't a nice lady. I e-mailed her asking something I didn't understand and she replied with a snooty remark. Her tests are impossible to get an A on. My study guides average about 13 pages per exam and I managed to only get low B's on all the tests. 40% of the test is material not discussed in class.
Dr. Sutton is one of the best teachers I have had at Auburn. Her class is fairly easy as long as you read the book, pay attention in class, and study for the tests using the study guides she sends out. The people who rate her as a bad teacher are most likely disgruntled students who didn't make a good grade because they didn't try hard enough.
Dr. Sutton is an amazing professor. Her class is overall pretty easy but you still need to put in the effort for the grade. She sends out a review guide a week before every exam and if you read what she tells you (not entire chapters) and take good notes in class the exams are usually pretty easy. Dr. Sutton is nice and has a contagious laugh.
Was an enjoyable class. A class I actually looked forward to going to. Tests are kind of hard but gives chances for bonus. Some say the name tags were juvenile but, it definitely helped me to learn peoples names and make it easier to get to know people. Getting an A or B is not too difficult if you just study and go to class.

I would compare her course to re-taking the 6th grade. Sitting in her classroom is borderline insulting to the student's intelligence. If you enjoy being talked to like a child all while doing assignments that call for the use of crayons please sign up for her class. Belittling course work paired with her bad attitude made class unbearable.
Super easy class. There is one weekend retreat at the beginning to avoid Saturday classes, a presentation halfway through, and a final 6 page paper due at the end of the semester. Tough grader on presentation. Easy to get an A as long as you do the work you're supposed to.
Dr. Sutton was very nice, but a hard grader. I feel as sometimes she would take easy assignments and make them extremely complicated. If you put in the effort though, you should make a good grade.
