Very fun and interesting teacher. Likes to crack jokes. Quizzes are 30 questions but 5 extra credit bonus questions. They are also open notes. She also gives out alot of extra credit quizzes. She explains things very concisely and clearly!!!!

Omg she is such a good teacher. take her everything is practically extra credit. she lets you use all your notes on the test and tells you what is on the test. take home quizes and she drops the lowest grade of your test. Homework is online and its easy.

Omg she is the best teacher ever. She gives you homework hints, everything is practically extra credit, and on the test your allow to use all your notes and handouts that she gives you which helps you so much. This is one of the most easiest teachers. Take her youll get an A for sure! Nobody fails!

Great teacher who enjoys helping her students succeed. Even though the class is not terribly difficult, I would have to disagree with the others that the class is an easy A. Although an A is possible, it requires a good deal of studying. I highly recommend her for both accounting sequences. I only wish she was my teacher for all my other courses.

Great teacher, take her, she'll explain everything as long as you ask questions when you are confused. Exams are comprehensive and cover most if not all major concepts and ideas. Definitely made Accounting more fun then I thought possible.

Charmaine is wonderful! She is really charismatic and funny, and makes a boring subject fun. I had no interest or enthusiasm in the subject, but after taking her I really think accounting is cool. She encourages participation by throwing out candy when you ask a question & she really goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the concepts.

Great teacher! She is friendly, fun and fantastic! Attending class is very important to understanding the material and she makes class interesting with fun antics and candy. She will also explain the material further if you have any questions; using metaphors, similes and other comparisons to assist in the explaination.

Easy A. Just do your hw and get ok grades on quizes. This class is very low mantenance. No need to read - just do the online hw each week which is only 4 problems and then tests are open notes...how much easier can it get...i didnt understand any concepts and still cant but i still managed an A

She is a really nice prof. clear in her lecture and willing to help students outside classroom if u have questions, didn't feel any pressure at all, tests were easy n open-note, lots of EC built in the quizzes and gave out study guide for final,A should be easy as long as u do your works.Would definitely take her if she teaches 101B but she doesnt

Great professor. She really cars about students a lot. Not a hard class as long as go to class everyday unless you really understand about accounting. She will let you use all of your notes on every exam and final. Also, give you a study guide for final exam. Overall, great professor and makes accounting more interesting and easier.

I honestly couldn't believe how easy this class was! I took it at another school last semester school and dropped! Then, I found her. I took all of her exams thinking I was going to be completely "lost" but ended up receving A's on them. Her exams on open notes and multiple choice. I think it's because she gives so many extra credit points!

I had no clue what was going on and I got a B, she gives a lot of extra credit and gives you test hints. It is impossible to fail her class. Show up everyday and do homework.

A stellar prof!Her class is an easy A if you come to class every day (or most days), but you will really learn a lot, too. She explains very clearly, and repeatedly. If you tell her you dont understand, she will explain again. All tests are open-note, and she offers lots of extra credit. If you don't get an A, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Professor is really helpful and organized. If you have a question she will do her best to help you until you get the material. Tests open note. She really knows the material and is excellent at teaching it. I would definately recommend taking her.

Lecture could be quite boring, so sometimes she provide candies when people ask questions. Taking good notes and completing the hw is important in order to do well on the exams (open notes, but still tricky). Quizzes are taken online and answers are straight from the book; should be easy. Overall, she is really nice and know her stuff well.

Take Charlie for 101AF. Every test is open note and she provides the notes that are SUPER helpful. Plus you can use the homework so you can have examples to look at for each test. She is willing to help anyone as long as you put in the work. Don't just show up and expect answers. Attendance is mandatory as each class is worth points.

Great instructor. She explains well and makes sure that her students are all on the same page. I would take her again. The class itself can be difficult if you get lost or miss a step but that's just how basic acct/math goes. Take good notes and you will be fine. The study tools in Wiley is a great reference to use when doing homework and quizzes.

Charmaine is a great professor. Before taking her class I had no experience or knowledge about accounting whatsoever. I passed her class with an A+ and learned so much from her. Taking her class is very encouraged.

Took her accounting for small business class fall13 ..super easy, offers way too much extra credit, hands out candy when participating in class, takes roll every class towards the middle. Open note(can even print hw assignments and powerpoint notes) for tests and final. Easiest A i ever earned. Just beware she loves to hear herself talk and shes kind of out there

Sure the class will be difficult if you skip a session. The teacher does baby steps and goes over the material necessary for the homework you do online. All tests are open note. You can literally use anything but the book. She has a very bubbly personality and it does ease it up a bit.

Smith is the sweetest, nicest, teacher out there! She throws out candy for participation, however, since it is a 2 hour and 30 minute class.. be prepared to drink coffee. She does examples that are EXACTLY like the homework. She gives out a lot of EC too. I suggest reading the text before class, then paying attention in class. HW+Test will be easy

I would take her again, and I will. She has a way of letting you know the information which feels easier than most accounting classes. She has a knack for talking to her students, and really places us above all. I would love to take her Acct 101A class, and has made me think about accounting as a career choice.

Professor Smith is an extremely friendly and helpful teacher. I didn't do as well in the class as I had hoped, but that was solely my fault for not studying. Classes are mainly just lectures, with take home quizzes and homework every week. You can use notes on all tests! Study hard and pay attention and you can pass.

I would definitely take her class again. She allows OPENED NOTES on your tests. Also, makes class fun if you like accounting (of course). Very nice teacher and a GREAT professor. She gives you an idea what's going to be on a test, it's very helpful! Very detail oriented.

Good professor who takes time to answer homework problems in-class. Expects students to read material before lectures which helps students prepare for the in-class lectures. There is a lot of extra credit offered to help boost grade. Tests are open note, but are very detailed. Getting an A is possible, but requires work. Good professor overall.

She is a good teacher but the class that I took was extremely hard and fast-paced, do not take this class if you haven't really experienced life yet. Sounds weird but its true. You're gonna have to understand concepts about accounting and that wasn't something I took in well being new to anything financial. Good professor but really hard class

I took Professor Charmaine for Accounting 1 and absolutely loved her. I graduated from a four year private university and can say that she is hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had. I've taken two other accounting classes at the private university for my Master's program and the professors don't compare to her.

shes a great teacher, really tries to engage students with the work. if you miss class often you probably wont pass. creates helpful worksheets so you have examples for HW on cengage (website everything is done on) clear on what will be on the exams. shes a little goofy, but is super sweet haha 10/10 recommend for 101A wish she was teaching 101B

Professor smith was an amazing accounting professor. The class was completely online from covid but she made her class easy to follow along through the zoom meetings. She cares about the students and that you learn the material. She takes her time if you have any questions and is easy to reach outside of class. Great intro into accounting

Charmaine is funny, I loved her oddball jokes to make a boring class a little less stiff. She truly cares about each student, but you need to carry your weight. If you are looking for an easy pass to satisfy a req, this isn't it. But, if you're looking to actually understand the language of business, Charmain knows her chit.

Very nice professor but for me personally, the way she teaches is tough for me. I came into the class late so there was a lot to catch up on. Even when I caught up, the next module would be hard. Even the tests were hard even though I did studying and the cheat sheet. It depends on how well you can take in information and the way she teaches.

I think her teaching style is a little old school. No use of canvas, and you kinda have to figure things out on your own at times, but she is really understanding and has a lot of opportunities for people to maintain a passing grade. I just think the topic she's teaching is quite difficult, so people are conflating that with teaching.
