Dr. Meyer is easily one of the best professors I've had at USC. I'm the type of person who usually can barely pay attention in class, but Dr. Meyer actually makes class worth listening too. He is funny, kind, and I would recommend taking him if possible, no matter the class.

Easily the best professor ive ever had. His lectures are electric and you can tell he is really passionate in what he does. The exams and projects are graded very fairly and the work load is not overbearing. This class is an easy A while still learning a lot. He doesnt try to trick you or make you fail, genuinly wants all his students to do well

Dr. Meyer is probably one of the nicest and caring professors within this department. He comes into class every day with a positive attitude and tries sooo hard to be funny which is cool. He is lecture heavy and you take 2 exams and two major papers which are easy if you pay attention.

Dr. Meyer is a ver y nice professor who cares a lot about his students. He is lecture heavy but is pretty energetic. Tests and papers are graded fairly easily, as no one should get anything lower than an A. He has assigned readings, but you don't have to do them as they are never asked about on tests. Would 100% recommend taking him.

I loved Dr. Meyer's class. His lectures are fascinating, and make sure to ask lots of questions because I find his tangents to be the most interesting. Just make sure you go to class and pay attention and you'll do well in the class. I would definitely take a class of his again in the future.

One of my top 3 favorite professors at UofSC. I looked forward to coming to his class every Tuesday and Thursday. His lectures were so interesting and you can tell that he is really passionate about the material. He understands that many students are not there as political science majors so he makes it interesting for everyone: has fun assignments

His class was very enjoyable and he is very enthusiastic about political science. He gives about 3 writing assignments, 3 exams, and a cumulative final. He gives extra credit opportunities and don't hesitate to ask any questions!

This is my second class with Dr. Meyer, and it is exactly the same format as his 360 course. Two tests, two projects, and participation. You don't have to put much effort in at all to do well. Dr. Meyer is a very nice guy who cares a lot about the subject and students. I'd recommend him for any class that he offers.

Cannot stress how much I wish more professors were like him. His love and passion for the subject/teaching was very apparent and he is living proof of the fact that a professor can make or break a subject for you. I'm a senior and I've had maybe 3 teachers/classes I wish I could go back and attend a lecture with. He's one of them.

Amazing professor! Really fun and cares a lot about the subject material. The lectures are super easy to follow and genuinely entertaining. Dr. Meyer's class was so easy! He posts all of his PowerPoints, so you really don't even have to watch his lectures, and the exams come straight off the PowerPoints. His lectures are interesting because he gets excited about the material while he teaches. The lectures are really long, but he worked on shortening them throughout the semester.

Professor Meyer is a super solid choice. Not too easy, not too hard. You'll learn a lot in his class and his assignments are super real world based. One of the few classes where I felt like I actually learned something valuable. Super nice and personable guy too!

LOVE Professor Meyer! Our class was asynchronous, yet Professor Meyer was always on top of posting the lectures. He is understanding if you need to reach out to him, very passionate about what he teaches, and gives chances for extra credit on the exams. He does take a while to grade assignments though.

Dr. Meyer is really enthusiastic about his class, even in an asynchronous format. His lectures are a little long, but they're not boring. He has short weekly assignments, a few longer (about 2 pages) papers, 3 exams, and a final. All of these assignments are easy and don't really require that much effort. He does take a long time to grade things.

Dr. Meyer is one of the nicest professors I have ever met. He's easy to reach and quick to respond. There is a textbook and some supplemental readings, but you could probably get away with not getting the book and just showing up to lectures and reading the articles he posts. Most exam answers are from lectures. He also gives study guides for exams

Mr. Meyer made the class extremely fun despite it being online. He made the class very interactive and interesting. He's a great lecturer and is very engaging. I wish I could take the class again.

Professor Meyer was my favorite professor amid the pandemic. He was an absolute gem and is so understanding and caring about situations you may have outside of the classroom that affect your schoolwork. He's hilarious, keeps you engaged with his insane energy, and is overall impossible to not like. He made political science fun!

His attendance procedure is showing up once for a dedicated class and if you do your weeks assignment than you get an A for attendance.

Dr. Meyer is by far the best professor I have ever had. I honestly wish the class was not online. His lectures were very interesting, he was also happy, and responded to emails very quickly. Technically have a lot to read, but his lectures usually suffice. Only 3 exams and 3 assignments, and a super engaging lecturer. He's fun, knowledgeable, and makes the class interesting. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Meyer for POLI 201 again.

Dr. Meyer is a hilarious teacher. This man lives and breathes political science. I took his class at 8:30 am, and I showed up everyday because I actually appreciated his lectures. He makes very hyperbolic statements to drive home his points which adds some color to his lectures. Do yourself a favor and take this class. I'm taking him again myself

Probably one of the professors at USC. Definitely the best lecturing professor I have ever had. He is a good presenter and makes his lectures extremely interesting. 3 tests, none of them are hard at all. He also gives you every opportunity to get an A. If you don't get an A in this class with such a great professor you doing something wrong.

Dr. Meyer is extremely passionate and caring. Always looked forward to going to his lectures. He incorporates some awesome first hand documents, and videos into his lectures. Plan on taking him again next year. Hes definitely one of my favorite political science professors at UofSC!

This guy is the best professor ive had at usc. He makes boring content interesting because hes so enthusiastic about everything. He doesnt assign too much work and bc of that I feel like Ive learned the most from his class out of any other class Ive taken here.

Professor Meyer is all around a great professor. He makes lectures very interesting and allows for lots of participation from the students. The exams are based on powerpoints but are online and straightforward. He does take attendance but he is not strict about it. Definitely recommend taking his class and I hope to have him again in the future.

Dr. Meyer is a great guy inside and outside of the classroom. POLI 201 was super easy and it taught me useful and beneficial things I never thought I would need to know. His exams are online without lockdown browser and there are only 4. He gives 3 assignments which are 1.5-2 page papers. They are super easy. If you can, TAKE HIM! HE IS AMAZING!

He was one of the best teachers I've had and a really interesting lecturer. You only have two super easy exams, and then one final paper, but he's really understanding and will help you figure it out. You get 4 absences before he starts taking off for attendance. I really enjoyed the class and highly recommend him as a professor!

He was one of my favorite professors last semester. He always made sure his lectures weren't super boring and really cared about student's questions. Every time I had a question after class, he always had an answer even if it wasn't related to what we learned that day. The homework and exams were also straight to the point and pretty easy.

This was my first class with Dr. Meyer and he's so passionate about Poli Sci. His lectures use empirical/factual evidence and never biased towards one point of view. Dr. Meyer encourages his students to be curious about Poli Sci and he makes me love the subject more. His jokes are so funny and he cares about his students a lot. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

Professor Meyer was super knowledgeable on politics which made his class interesting. For poli391 we had an essay and 2 exams and a reading assignment which were all pretty easy. You also don't need to go to class to do well.

I WISH THERE WAS MORE PROFESSOR MEYERS AT USC! I rarely went to class, but when I did he was always in a good mood and charismatic. You don't have to show up to get an A. Just make sure you check Blackboard to get the small assignments done when he uploads and your papers are submitted by the end of the semester. He wants EVERYONE to pass.

I enjoyed this class and Dr. Meyer. He is a nice guy and tries his best to make things interesting. The lectures are easy to follow and informative. The assignments include short writing assignments, surveys/small assignments, 2 discussion board questions, and 4 essay exams. As long as you go to lecture and turn in assignments it is an easy A.

Professor Meyer is the absolute best. His class was really easy if you attend lectures or at least look at the readings and lectures before exams. Attendance was optional but the way he lectures makes you want to attend class. We had a few simple papers and smaller assignments, but nothing was too difficult or time consuming.

Super easy class. Just needed this to fill a Carolina core, I don't care about the content at all but he's super into it and tries to make it interesting and he does care about the students. Attendance wasn't mandatory at least when I took it. all test are on blackboard and 25 questions with sn extra credit question. he's super sweet and interesting. you don't need the textbook even tho he says you do (I never used it). 3 exams a final and 3 short papers is all the class requires.

Such an easy class, you only have to go to 2 lectures to post discussion questions for 5% of your grade. All the test are online no lockdown and then we had 3 1-2 page papers and a few small assignments for completion grade. The papers are also posted when the class starts and due at the end of the last unit so you can do them whenever.

This is the 2nd class I've taken with Professor Meyer, and I can't say enough great things about him! It is evident how much he loves political science. His lectures are great; he always says hilarious things too! This class had 2 exams, 1 project (paper), and simple small assignments. He's the man! You won't regard taking Professor Meyer!!

I would take professor meyer again 100%. his class was awesome, as long as you complete all of the small and large assignments and complete the exams you are set. not hard to get a good grade at all.

One of the best professors here. im a bio major w no care of poli sci and still not only did well in the class but also found it very interesting. take home exams without lockdown browser, 3 mini assignments that are pass/fail (completion = pass), and 3 1-page paper assignments. no way not to get an A

Dr. Meyer is an amazing professor who is very passionate about what he teaches. The class is not difficult but I found myself extremely interested in the lectures he gave. Everybody should have a general understanding with how our government works. I highly doubt there is a professor better than him for this topic. Please take him.

He truly cared for his students. Had so many office hours available. Textbook really wasn't needed. 4 papers which are super short and then like 5 exams. His lectures were entertaining. Could not recommend more.

So so good. He understands that most people are just taking the class for credit. Class is so easy, you can do everything on your own time. He'll say you need the textbook, but you don't. All you have to do is come to class which is easy because his lectures are very interesting. Cannot recommend enough.

Professor Meyer is one of my favorite professors. His lectures are very entertaining and interesting. He makes it a point to listen to his students and take their feedback. The class is well balanced between tests and papers, so if you do badly on one test, it's not the end of the world. He is kind and wants to see you succeed.

he is probably the best professor Ive had- he cancels class kind of often but he does take attendance so make sure to go. Only like 3 small assignments and 4 big ones due at the end of the semester and you just have to ask 2 questions on the discussion board. Exams are super easy, on blackboard not lockdown

He's the best. All but one of our Exams were taken at home, the papers are not hard and he gives plenty of time to do, and his attendance policy is if you miss less than 5 classes you get extra credit. Very nice, and very engaging in lectures.
