I'm completely unteachable but, Chet found a way and I ended up with an A! He's sincere, always upbeat and will come up with endless ideas of different ways of getting you to learn the material and remember it. Doesn't waste your time, teaches you exactly what you need to know. If you fail him just do yourself a favor and drop out.

I'm a senior, and I had Chet freshman year. He's the best professor I've had at Pace! He makes sure that everyone in the class understands what is going on. He will help you in class and after class if you ask him a question. I would definately recommend taking him. You will learn AND remember the material, and you'll have FUN!

Doesnt really check your hw except one surprise. small quizzes and easy exam. pay attention in class and u dont have to study at all. Very interesting class and professor.

yes, chet is helpful, but he treats us like we're in middle school. his method of teaching involves complicated metaphors and stories to explain the simplest mathematical concepts. for example, during linear programming, we are playing in the sandbox, we are doing "vanilla" (this one particularly confused me), our mother told us not to go, etc

chet is a great professor. i enjoy going to his class everyday especially when he puts on music early in the morning (i have him at 7 20am). he's very clear about what he is teaching and simplifies everything so that even if someone who is not very good in math would understand.

Definitely attend class, or you'll miss something. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend him even if it is an early bird class. I received an A.

Very clear expectations. He has a packet that he hands out that includes in class work as well as a small amount of HW so no need to buy the text book and the tests are identical to the packet. He definitely enjoyed teaching and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely one of the best!

Chet Advani is THE best math teacher I have ever had! If you just do the homework and LISTEN in class you'll get an A or B. I'm not that great at math and he helped the class understand new ways of learning and actually made it fun. This was also an 830am class. Easy A or B just show up and do the homework.

I took this course once before with another professor and failed it. I retook the course with this professor and received an A. He is very clear, helpful, and often humorous. Make sure you listen in class and do all of his handouts, and you should be good to go, honestly. Highly recommend.

Chet likes the early morning classes and he's very good. His style takes a bit of getting used to but he's enthusiastic and helpful and his tests are just like his handouts with different numbers. He teaches stat well but if you don't pay attention you'll probably get lost.

Professor Chatur is a great teacher who understands the material well. He will help you every step of the way. He always wears his signature bow tie. Can be cranky at times and may be annoyed when too many questions are asked but overall, I would definitely recommend him to others. You will absolutely love him.

He gives homework but it's usually the exact same problems done in class. His grading policy is confusing. Easy professor if you just listen to him and do as he says.

Chet cares about the students who care about the class. His handwritten class exercisehomework packets are confusing on the first day but turn out to be the most helpful part of the class. I think that MAT 117 was one of the best classes I've ever taken. The professor explained everything very clearly. If you attend and listen to him, you will be able to do your homework even without reviewing the material. It is not a difficult class if you keep up with the new topics and are motivated to study. I recommend you to take MAT 117.
