Professor Colon is an excellent professor!!!She is a hard worker who really cares about her students. Her sense of humor made the classes fun and engaging.

Really good math teacher, I really enjoyed her class. Material wasn't easy because it was a 6 week course but she was really good with her lectures, also I really loved the way she graded the test, every math teacher should do that. She also allowed us to do test corrections which were really helpful both with grade and with understanding material.

Young but knows what she's doing. Actually shows an interest in helping students. Not many good and effective math teachers or there but I can definitely say Chealsea is one of them. Will go the extra mile to make sure you do well. Very understanding, yet fair.

If I could take all of my math courses with Prof. Col?n, I would! She makes the material easy to understand and responds to emails lightening fast if you need help outside of class. She grades exams by the next day, and allows test corrections for a certain amount of credit, because she truly cares about her students understanding and succeeding.

One of the greatest professors I've had in my whole academic career. I'm really bad at math and this was actually my second attempt at math 101 and I was able to understand how she taught it within a matter of weeks. Prof. Colon you need to teach my STAT 113 course this fall !! :)))

Prof Colon was the best math teacher I ever had! She will explain things over and over to make sure everyone understands and no question is too dumb to ask her. She also answers all emails right away and really wants you to do well

Really great professors, i don't know what the rest of these awful comments are about but she is really helpful. Its just that there is so much to be taught in such little time, so if you do not ask questions you will find yourself lost. She genuinely cares about you passing and will often stay after class and helps you study for tests.

Prof Colon genuinely cares for her students and wants you to learn and understand the material. She's always available through email and usually answers within an hour! There's a lot to be learned in a short period of time but she's always open to questions and finds a way for you to understand. I would def take her again.

This is a great and caring professor. She is willing to take the time out of her day or lecture to answer any questions one might have, both during class and out. Her delivery is clear and easy-to-follow. There are moments when her lectures are peppered with humor, which always helps to up the overall mood. Would definitely recommend her to others.

Amazing professor. Answers emails back super quick and is always willing to help you anytime possible. She's young so she has a simple approach to teaching and doesn't overcomplicate. Drops the lowest test grade, uses powerpoints in class and has very clear study guides. She genuinely wants her students to pass. Generous with bringing cookies too.

Math was always my weak area, after failing math 101 in Spring 2017 I got a chance to retake it with Chelsea during the Summer. Though it was a six week class and very intense Chelsea was always available outside of class to help with any topic I found difficult to understand.

Chelsea is an outstanding professor who goes out of her way to ensure that students understand all of the material that they are given. The class is a lecture heavy but it's expected from any class with a lot of material. She also goes out of her way to provide study guides and provides excellent feedback for questions you get wrong. I highly recc.

One of the greatest math teachers I've ever had. Very kind, respectful, funny and understanding. She offers a lot of time to assist students and allows to makeup missed work.

Professor Colón is a wonderful teacher. She's very friendly and approachable in class and goes the extra mile. I didn't get the grade I wanted but that's because I was slacking off. Her study guides have everything you need to know. Review material a week before exams and you should get a high mark.

Proactive, caring, very approachable. she really LOVE math, therefore she tries to makes the lectures as clear and enjoyable as possible. She will make the course to go smoothly. Prof Colón is the best math professor I've had since 8th grade lol, I wish were joking. Her review packets are the best and 100% study them because it helps you so much during the test. I personally really struggle with math and her explanations and the time she spends help a lot compared to other teachers' less than desirable styles.

Professor Chelsea definitely is the best teacher in hunter college... taking math 125 was a big challenge for me to take in 6 weeks in summer semester... but the professor made fully preparations and teaching very clearly for people to understand. answering questions very properly way for every student to understand....

Who ever takes this class, I guarantee she'll be top 3 on your favorite professors /Teachers list. It would be a shame if you didn't take this class with her as your professor

I took her class during the summer and it was truly an eye opener for me. I was reminded on material that I have done throughout my years of high school, that I thought I didn't have to look at anymore. She teaches you as if you are learning it for the first time and to be honest, I personally think that is the best approach.

This teacher is amazingggggggggggg!!!! She made my math experience as a freshman student so amazing! If I had bought a scientific calculator, I would have even gotten a higher grade on my final! Attendance is important. She cares a lot about you and really wants you to succeed. She literally made fall semester. I cant wait for the spring semester!

Chelsea is a great professor who cares deeply about each individual student. She responds to all of her emails, and will take the time out to explain each problem thoroughly.

I took Professor Colon's class in order to fill a GER and, although I don't particularly enjoy math, she made it easy to follow and learn. Extremely caring, funny, and charismatic, she is everything you would want in a professor. She also prepares you well for the exams, doesn't give a ton of HW, and is responsive outside of the classroom.

Professor Colon is one of the best professor at Hunter! Take her if you have the chance. She is clear with lecture, open for questions, available after class.. I took her for summer session 1 and it was intense but amazing. She helped us as much as she could. The material is intense but she made it accessible for anyone.

Shes a funny and genuine professor! I learned so much from her and was able to master this level in just six weeks. She makes the topics funny with memes, its impossible to not pass this class. Shes super easy to reach And office hours are the best time to get one on ones with her. Would take her again in any math topic!

She explains difficult concepts and methodologies to solve problems clearly. If algebra seems challenging, she is the ideal professor to break it down and help you succeed.

Challenging but in a good way! The class felt very rushed but it's only because there's lots of material to cover in a short amount of time. She's more than willing to help when needed and takes her time with you too. Her personality is great, she knows how to be professional but close with her students. Would take her again if I could.

Chelsea is one of the best precalc professors at Hunter. She really wants you to do well and succeed in the class so don't be afraid to reach out to her for extra explanations on things. The summer semester I took was online and she tried to make it more enjoyable by throwing in memes :) Overall, if you want to do well in a precalc class TAKE HER!!

She's a great teacher. Willing to help you out with any problem/question even outside office hours. Very polite and even hilarious at times. This class was my favorite one in the entire semester, and her positive attitude played a major role in it. Just make sure you do the homework on time. She's very considerate, and I highly recommend her class.

Professor Colon really cares about her students success. She goes above and beyond to help you get the grade you want. She's extremely organized and ontop of everything, you probably won't have to wait more than 10 minutes to get feedback.

Colon is absolutely wonderful. She is a great prof. Her lectures took place on Discord which strangely enough was easy to use and get in contact with her as a first-time user. She would answer my messages within 2 hours of messaging her. She grades fairly enough but you have to make sure. to show all work.

I loved Professor Colon's course. Although I took pre-calc in high school, I wanted a GPA boost for pre med. And a GPA boost I did receive. I would say this class is a breeze but only because she is such a great professor. She has truly mastered the online learning format and gets back to you within two hours of reaching out. I loved the class because of the Professor! I usually don't like online classes, but Professor Colon is amazing. She explained math problems very well. If you didn't understand something, you can always ask her at any time (literally at any time) and she'll get back to you. There are lots of practice and homework , so be prepared to do math.

Her lectures make the class more entertaining rather than being drilled with information for 2 hours straight, and gives a lot of opportunities for you to earn extra credit. Highly recommended, this class is easy as long as you stay on top of the work.

Writing in on this course after taking the four courses that usually follow algebra. Motivated to write this as Prof. Colon's excellent teaching style set me up for success in these other courses. She gives students fantastic foundational math skills, is extremely supportive if you try, and has low tolerance if you lack academic integrity.

Highly recommend taking her class! She adapted very well to online and everything was easy to use and very functional for class. Responds to questions and very easy to understand.

This professor is one of the best I had. She is straight forward and it is easy to understand. Our class was online on discord and well paced. We only came in person for exams and bonus, she gives candy on exam days! Her lectures contain a few memes here and there. Overall would take again if i could.

What I really liked about her is that she gave online office hours, and in-person office hours. she give in-person office hours before the exam day to help students, she really cares about the students, but she doesn't extend work or give extra credits.

I liked Professor Chelsea, we had in person office hours before each exam and she was always accessible on discord, we had 4 midterm exams, each one in a specific unit. The 5th exam was the final. We had our exams in person, but lectures were online. Study the lecture and the review sheet questions for te. class was so organized but harsh grading.

Her lectures/teaching are easy to understand. Engages well with the students and is very dedicated to her job.

As someone who doesn't like math, I can confidently say Professor Chelsea is an amazing teacher. She makes being in her class a fun learning experience. If you need help whether in class or outside of it, you can always come to her and she'll be sure to help. She grades work very quickly and gives amazing feedback.

She is a great and respectful professor, who shows clear care in the way that she teaches and is very respectful to her students. She is very good at explaining any errors that you may make with questions and her teaching style is engaging. Overall, her class is excellent and I highly recommend it!

Class was a breeze! Prof was nice and encouraged students to participate/reach out for help. She uses Discord to communicate and answers quickly to messages. This class uses Lumen (online) for homework (multiple tries for every question) and quizzes. Tests (in-person) were questions similar to the classwork. Easy A if you listen and do the work.

She is a sweet professor and shows respect to students. She always brings candies on holidays for us. Assignments are cleared and easy to understand. Homeworks and quizzes are on OHM. Participation in attendance are not strictly mandatory.However if you miss a class, you might get lost and miss the classwork.

She uses Discord in order to communicate with the students, which I like. This class was very easy considering I took Calculus the year before this. She makes sure the students understand the topics. Great professor

Professor Colon is very kind. Math101 is an easy course, it's basically a review of high school math. She is very easy to access via discord. She gives classwork and homework to make sure the concepts are understood, and posts the lecture slides. During our final, she gave us extra time and told us what mistakes we made so we could fix them.

Anyone who tells you not to take this teacher. Don't listen. Like bro trust me, she's the one for you. Lot of Lumen homework but it's for the best. 5 exams 15% each. She drop the lowest. Basically even If you are not good in math, if you study even if it's just a few hours per week, you will succeed.

Professor Colon is an amazing professor. As someone who struggles with math, Colon made the class enjoyable and easy. Our assignments and quizzes are on lumen. There's five exams in total but the lowest score is dropped. Study the material on lumen as the questions are similar to ones on the exams.

Professor colon was one of the best professors I've had. she is extremely caring and considerate when life happens and will lend a hand to help. She does go through the criteria fast but offers office hours and outside help through discord. She responds immediately to messages as she cares for her students. would highly recommend her

Professor Colon has been a pleasure to have this past summer semester. Even though the summer semester expects more from you, considering the material is expected to be completed in 6 weeks instead of the usual 12 weeks, she was able to keep a pace where all students felt comfortable. I took this professor's class and got a C, but that was on me. She is VERY nice, patient, and always willing to answer questions, especially during office hours. I've always struggled with math, but after taking her course, I improved more than I ever thought I could. If you are struggles with math, take her class. You won't be disappointed!

shes a good professor. helps a lot. gave food during office hours. cracks corny jokes but thats fine. uses discord. attendance doesnt count but sometimes she gives u full credit for the classwork for the mere fact that ure present. do the homework/classwork. pretty easy class overall. js do the work and the exams.

Colon is pretty good prof. She explains the material really well and her exams/classwork are super easy. Just do the Lumen and you can easily pass the class. Now I will admit that she does tend to come late to class so just be prepared for that. She does tend to favor students who go to her office hours (where free snacks are provided).

Professor Colon is pretty straightforward - she moves quickly through the material, but is helpful if you reach out. Using unstuckstudy and the practice assignments on Lumen helped me stay on top of the content.

Prof Colon is very nice and understanding and will work with you until you understand the material. If you miss class, you can just text her for the classwork and then submit it by next class. She is very accessible on discord and there are 5 exams in total including the final, 17 questions each but the final is 20 questions. Office hours are W & F

Tough but fair!! She explains things clearly, but the class moves fast because there's a lot of material to get through. Don't expect her to spoon-feed everything during class.. you have to take responsibility, study at home, and take advantage of the tutoring services Hunter offers. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll learn a lot.
