The class was comprised of 3 exams (40 T/F and MC question), 2 application assignments (Blackboard quiz on one YouTube speech and a documentary), SmartBook assignments (participation), and an online Family Tree Project. The class was very manageable considering it was a mini semester (4 week course). The exams came from the online textbook and LB.

I took this professor for 2 courses (Socio & Socio of Family). She was so helpful when I was struggling with my assignments & helped me through all of the technical difficulties. This course was straightforward and very "on-your-own". This professor rlly cares about her students & if you put in just enough work, you could definitely get an easy A!

I took her for a mini session & she was v understanding when I asked if she could grade my assignments fairly quickly as I wanted to complete everything within the free trial for the textbook because it was $90 for only 4 weeks This was also the most stress free class ive ever had! Took her for SOCI 1301 (RMP didn't give class option). Exams are online (no comprehensive final). Grade by: 5 exams (online + very ez), 2 application assignments, revel quizzes, final project, syllabus quiz, and attendance (10% of grade). She has a very kind air to her and she responds fast to emails. She gives group activities & extra credit.

This class is super easy. There are few homework assignments, and they're the same every week. There are a few papers and exams throughout the course, but simply doing the assignments will get you to the point you need to do those assignments.

She gives 4 mini- assignments, 5 exams, and 1 final project which aren't difficult to do if you put an effort in. Overall, her class is very enjoyable.

The class was online, but the professor made sure to inform the students what assignments were due each week. The professor left clear instruction on the application assignments and the rest was just doing the assignment on the online textbook. She sends us information that we may have concerns on to everyone if it may be their question.

This course (SOCI 1301 - Online) was an absolute breeze! Every week, we'd dive into similar tasks, punctuated by dynamic tests or intriguing papers every fortnight. Tackling assignments felt like a cakewalk, and our approachable professor was always within reach.

The class is pretty easy, the only thing is that attendance is mandatory when most of the lectures are accessible at home. Attendance is 30% of your grade. As long as your present, and take the time to do the online textbook quizzes which are very easy, you'll be fine. She's also pretty chill.

I thought this class was well organized and made it easy for me. The syllabus goes over everything perfectly, from due dates to the lectures. On Blackboard everything is up to date. Tests are really easy, especially since the professor provides a study guide. Overall I found this class to be extremely easy, yet I learned a lot!

If you work hard, you will definitely get an A. Would recommend this class to everyone. The Prof. is very helpful, and her lectures are not that hard. If you pay attention and attend the class regularly you will definitely get an A for her exams.

Professor Cooper really cares about her students and what they have to add to in-class conversations. Her lessons are very interactive and interesting. I enjoyed taking SOCI 1301 with her.

Honestly the best online class I have taken here at UH.The syllabus is ver clear with the due dates given. There is enough spacing between each assignment given and she even sends out reminders just in case you may forget. The grading is very clear alongside with the rubrics.If there is a mistake on an assignment, she answers emails very quickly.

Professor Cooper gives multiple opportunities for extra credit. Most of your assignments will be from the revel textbook (I took online classes). Texts can be difficult if you don't understand the material/know vocabulary words.

I'm grateful that I chose her for this class, I have learned many sociological concepts. She is going to give you many small projects that you will actually enjoy. Everything is in the syllabus so you can go ahead and plan your whole semester.

Adequate intervals are provided between each assignment, and the instructor even sends out reminders as a precaution against forgetfulness. The grading is easily comprehensible, as are the rubrics. In case of any mistake on an assignment, the instructor responds to emails promptly.

I took this online and she uses the Revel platform for quizzes/readings which are very simple if you read through everything. Took me about 2hrs per chapter so plan accordingly. Tests were straightforward based off the study guides that she provides. Do not forget about the Final project due at the end! I recommend and would take again any day.

The course is super easy with pretty easy homework. In one unit there are 3-4 chapters of textbook work due (questions are pretty easy and can be answered with common sense), and then there two application assignments and a test. Very straightforward and you can take it fully online. I highly recommend the course and this professor.

Professor Cooper was very engaged throughout the whole semester. Professor Cooper also had more of discussion type lectures that made learning more open for me, this in turn helped me learn so much more about other people in my class and how they related to the topics we were discussing.

Attendance points are taken everyday so be sure to go to class. All the assignments were easy and strightforward. Wish we had more class discussions and a more fluid syllabus. Felt like we didn't go into enough detail on each chapter.

I LOVED this professor. I took her in an 8 week online course at lonestar and she was AMAZING. It was only 2 chapters a week, an inquisitive and an application assignment for each chapter. The application assignments are short and easy, on the occasion she gave us a longer video to watch it was genuinely engaging. 10/10! Super manageable and fun :)

Class was fairly simple as long as you kept up with the work. Usually had 2-3 homework assignments a week, some of them being essays. The tests were easy to study for. No final, just a final project that was pretty simple. She offered support multiple times. Easy grade if you keep up with the work

This was my favorite professor I have taken at UH so far. I really wish she taught more sociology courses so I could enroll with her again. I really enjoyed her lectures and she is very passionate about what she teaches. I will recommend anyone to take her hybrid class. I learned so much and it was super easy.

Professor Cooper is an amazing teacher even though i only had her once a week she was able to recap what we learned in the textbook yes we use Mcgraw hill but the concepts are not that long like 20-30 which is fine. Her due date is every Sunday at 11:59 and her assignment are 2 to 4 assignments depending if you take test that week. Overall, great!

She also takes attendance so if you don't like to show up for class, don't take this course.

She grades attendance but her class goes over the previous reading chapter, so you could use this time to work on other assignments if you understand the content well enough.

Shes the sweetest professor ever, all of her exams are online so you can take them at home. Her assignments are easy on mcgrawhill and you have 4 article reviews throughout the semester but theyre easy to do. She also allows extra time if needed. Mandatory is required and she takes a grade for it.

Professor Cooper is an absolutely incredible instructor. She genuinely cares about her students and has a very engaging class. She is understanding and patient. The workload is reasonable, enough to keep you engaged without feeling overwhelmed. The class itself is super interesting, and she explains concepts in a way that makes them easy to grasp.

Although I don't particularly like this topic, she made it acceptable. Depending on what interests you, some assignments can involve watching some lengthy YouTube videos and other really fascinating documentaries. When it comes to the test, you should be alright if you follow the offered study advice.

I enjoyed Prof Wells Cooper's class. Although I didn't interact as much as I would have liked during the in-class discussions, her questions and feedback were very interesting. Another thing I enjoyed was the documentaries and extracurricular activities, as they encouraged us to think about our social reality far beyond what we can typically see.

Took the hybrid class. Had a few application assignments and projects. 4 exams, 1 final, lowest test grade dropped (around 24% total). The final project is worth 7%. She gives 1 point of extra credit at the end of the semester if you do the assignment. Tests were proctored. Attendance is graded, but 2 absences are allowed. She is understanding

Mrs. Cooper is a pretty chill professor. When she would ask to class to answer questions or participate it was pretty light. I had some good laughs in that class. Homework is usually McGraw Hill questions. Exams were light. She gives you a study guide that helps a lot. Powerpoint notes/lectures were posted as well. 10/10 class and professor.
