cannot understand him, worst teacher, im good at computer stuff but his requirements are ridiculous, take an american speaking teacher if you can

Can't understand a word he is saying which makes already boring subject material even worse. There are better profs. out there. Avoid if you can.

All I can say is horrible, horrible, horrible. You can't understand him at all so it is impossible to learn anything from him, even if you try. Avoid at all costs

Terrible teacher, can't speak english! I have never hated someone so much in my entire life. You have to teach yourself all of the material, and don't expect him to help you if you have a question. The class is a joke.

worst teacher i've had at bryant. he doesn't speak english very well so it's hard to understand even when you're paying attention. very unwilling to help students even during the class period. sometimes cannot even complete the homework problems himself on the first try. assignments aren't ridiculously hard but you basically have to teach yourself.

this man is honestly the worst teacher you could ever imagine having. Let's see, first he can't even speak english, he doesnt know how to teach, doesnt care about any student, he never takes blame for an ENTIRE CLASS failing his exam. If you feel like taking a class to test the extent to which you can completely hate another human being this is it.

i have had a change of heart. i btiched about him as much or more than anyone else during the semester. but im already starting to miss chenzhang. and btw, its one word. chenzhang.

Smart and kind, he seems meant to work for a company programming complex things, not teaching. He knows the material so well he assumes we understand his explanations, when the majority of the time it goes over our heads.

Horrible, I asked a question about Excel, and he told me to look under help. Does not care about any student.

One of the most useless professors I've ever had. He will not help you with anything. If you ask a question he will tell you to search the help button for the answer. Homeworks are easy but be prepared for the longest final of your life on things that are not even a test of your computer skills.

zhang is absolutely useless. the final exam had absolutely nothing to do with computer skills. he barely speaks english or understands it. while the homeworks were easy his final is not and it was ridiculously long. he also deleted a persons final right in front of the rest of the class after the kid left the room because it wasnt titled right.

The best thing you could ever do for yourself is NOT take this class. His lectures are confusing and he probably knows his stuff, but he's a horrible teacher and doesn't know how to effectively explain concepts. He told us we had a take home exam once and then decided he wanted it to be "in-class" when we got there. Extremely unapproachable.

Most professors at Bryant University genuinely care about their students' well-being and their success - Chen Zhang is not one of them. He is rude, snaps at you for asking for help, and is extremely unsupportive. He is terrible at explaining anything - from concepts to project requirements - and is incredibly unreasonable.

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is extremely confusing and does not care about his students. All he does is lecture in the most monotone voice and does not encourage participation. I have emailed him several times for help and does not respond. He is very rude in office hours as well. Easily the worst class I have ever taken.

Literally the worst professor I've ever taken and I've had to take him several times for my major. I have literally learned nothing and have to go to online resources myself in order to learn the material as it is necessary for my job, since he is of no help and difficult to understand. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES IF POSSIBLE.

This professor doesn't want you to succeed, when you go for help he always seems that he is in a rush. He expects you to learn all of the material through the book. He also barely speaks english so it makes it extremely difficult to learn. I think he might be a computer.

Possibly the worst teacher / professor I've ever had, not even joking. People in my class will get confused because he talks so fast and with no emotion, and they will ask for help and he will say there's no time for it. All he does is read off slides the whole class and doesn't get students involved at all. Actually laughable how bad it is.

He is actually one of the worst professors I have ever taken at this school, but nice. He does not care about his students and is no help when you ask for extra help. I would steer away from taking his class, and he is very monotone. His lectures are very boring and he is also the first professor that has ever denied me from going to the bathroom.

It seems like Professor Zhang purposefully tries to make his class as painfully boring and complicated as possible. He just sits at the front of the class reading his notes word-for-word. I had to send him 3 emails asking for help and when he got back to me he straight up said that he didn't know how to fix my issue. Unbelievable.

This guy is the worst professor ever. He does not care about his students, he does not help you out in class. He goes extremely fast and if you ask him to slow down, he says he doesn't have time to. If you ask him a question in class, he doesn't answer. His office hours are only 15 minutes each and will never tell you how you're doing in his class.

He doesn't tell you what is expected to be completed, he just expects it to be done without assigning anything. Focuses on python half the time meanwhile python isn't even supposed to be in the curriculum for the class. Worst professor I've had yet. Highly don't recommend.

Worst professor I've ever had by far. ALl he does is read from the slides and does not help with the homework he assigns. Each assignment is more confusing then te last. Do not take at all costs.

Literally the WORST teacher at Bryant... by far. Spending 40k a year to be taught by someone who has no passion makes me feel like it is a waste of money

Professor Zhang is hard to understand and his class is extremely boring. The class is all lectures about information technology and nothing about excel which isn't helpful because the homework is only excel. There is a group presentation which you are given barely any instruction on and have to figure it out yourself. Overall, do not take Chen.

Literally the WORST professor at Bryant. Reads off of slides about AI, but homework is all excel so is very hard. Quizzes and Exams have NOTHING to do with the work we do. Does not answer emails or care that a student is doing poorly. Dont do it to yourself...

Never take this man ever, his quizzes and exams are impossible. The excel assignments take at least and hour and a half to complete every week. Avoid Chen Zhang at all costs.

The worst professor at Bryant and probably in the world. Changed his sllyabus at the end of the semester and claims it was always like that. Mumbles all class and is incredibly hard to understand. Never answeres emails, give little to no direction on assignments, and is quite literally just no help at all this guy needs to be fired.

He reads off the slides in a monotone voice. What he talks about really wasn't even on the exam. The highest exam score in our class was a 78%. Don't take unless you want your GPA to go down. He also always suggests asking chatgpt when someone asks a question.

Very monotone professor. His exams are extremely difficult and usually everyone gets a 45-50% on them. He thinks we don't know how to analyze correctly and talks about it every class. I would not recommend taking him unless you want your GPA to go down. Also expect him to not follow his posted syllabus at all.

Just don't take him. He acknowledges that the labs that he assigns sometimes just can't be completed because they're outdated. I am convinced that the only reason that Bryant keeps him is because he has a PHD. Weird how he openly tells his students to use Chat GPT on the final, but then selectively picks other administration rules.

Prof. Zhang is very difficult to follow. He does not teach any content from the book that we are required to purchase. There are Excel assignments, yet he provides no support or teaching related to them. Our discussions in class have no relation to any assignments, and he fails to teach us the concepts we need. I would not recommend.
