Dr. Kittrell is very helpful on a one on one basis. Unfortunatly, I don't think she's a very good teacher. A lot of assignments she puts out are very unclear. She works on a Credit or NO Credit scale. Many students are suprised to see huge red marks all over their assignments. It's not supposed to be an english class. I was dissapointed.
I do like the way she teaches and explain things, plain old English way, no difficult definitions. She uses little videos and pics effectively and her classes are interesting and tests fairly easy. But, as it was said, assignments can be nightmare, as I'm still not sure what exactly she wants. She also corrects your sentences a lot.

She is AMAZING!! She knows exactly what she is talking about. If you found her class difficult or unclear then you didn't study or didn't show up. This isn't a B.S. class where you show up and get an A but you will learn a lot of interesting material in a short period of time from a nice lady that really knows her stuff!! I loved the class!!

She is the best teacher I have had to date. She knows her stuff, and keeps your interest every class. Show up study your notes you pass. Her assignments I found as very educating and she gives you a step by step handout of exactly what she expects to see in each assignment. I highly reccomend her
easy class, and if you need it, she is always willing to help you during her office hours. her assignments take some getting used to, but she allows re-do's if you get an unsatisfactiry grade (seeing as she has a pass or fail grading on these assignments) Just come to class, do the assignments, study the lecture and you should do fine on tests.

Dr. K. is very knowledgable about the subject and has a lot to bring to the table, because the class is discussion based you must read the articles and participate but she makes the class fun. We discuss so many topics its hard not to stay interested. There are no tests in her class and the projects are fairly easy!

If you're an adult student, you'll find her extremely obnoxious. The kids liked her, she spoke at their level. I found this class to be too easy, & was very bored at the lack of ANY challenge. I found her views to be incredibly outdated, & laughable. You won't belive some of the things she says. You know what they say, "those who can't do, teach!"
Such a wonderful, smart ,cool teacher she is THe BEST PROFESSOR at MCC.Every body needs to take her DEP 2002 AND DEP 2004 class. Only word i can say is AMAZING!!!

The class consists of five one page papers and three tests. Extremely easy if you take notes and do the assingments. Fun class + easy A. If you can't pass the class quit wasting your money and drop out of school.
She is sarcastic a lot, which can get old; i did like the class because the topic was interesting to me. The information is presented clear and as long as you study, take notes, and do projects you should have no problem getting an A.
She is an extremely smart woman. However, I think the fact that she gives you either a 0 or a 100 on all the papers shows pure laziness on her part. You should get atleast some points for trying to do the paper. Also, it is very unclear what exactly she wants from you when it comes to the papers.
Great professor! Teaches material and makes lectures interesting and funny. Gives powerpoints which makes it easy to follow along and keep organized. Best professor at MCC, bar none!
Bottom line is that her Psychology class is very easy. You just need to take the notes and study them prior to the test and you'll be good. But she is a pseudo-intellectual and she is just plain wrong about some of the things that she teaches. I could go into lengthy detail about it but I do not have the room in this posting. Easy A though.
I looked forward to going to her class! She kept the class interesting and very fun. She reviews material that will be on the test multiple times so that you remember it. Even if you get a 0 on a paper she gives you plenty of chances to make it up.
Dr. K is a wonderful professor. She is very easy to pass. If anyone fails her class they arelazy. If you dont understand an assigment she would be more than happy to clarify it. When in the classroom and grading papers she expects you to act and write like college students.Ifyou cant handle then then maybe college is not for you.
The best teacher! I love her she seems to really understand what she teaches you and makes it interesting, we never opened our books. Was the only class I liked going too. You must take her. she will help you with your assignments is you take the time to meet with her. Great teacher.
Great teacher and very funny. I wouldn't be surprised if she was once a comedian. She incorporates tales form her life in her lessons to make you understand the material. Multiple choice only tests. Advice: Make an appointment with her to review all of your papers before turning them in. You will look forward to attending her class. : )

My FAVORITE class this semester. She is always entertaining and makes the class interesting. Even if you don't need psych I would suggest taking it if you can have her because its great life skills. Exams are a bit tricky, they cover everything and no real review is given but it should be easy to have an A based on the 1 pg papers and extra credit.
Professor Kittrell is a well-rounded professor who delineates the material effectively. She is also an easy teacher to those who go to class and take notes. However, she is a classic pseudo-intellectual; she tries very hard to appear a lot more intelligent than she actually is; some students buy it, which ostensibly makes her feel better.

Easy A if you study. Buy the online book to save money. The only time I needed the book was for the online homework created by publisher (which was a pain in the butt, lots of glitches). Prof was moderately entertaining but she doesn't have great communication skills when it comes to clarifying expectations.
Not exactly a warm personality, but very good professor. She gives real-life examples for everything so you can understand and remember the terms covered. She will go over the assignments with you before they are due so you can get a 100. Definitely buy the ebook! She drops test questions that 50% of the class misses.Very easy A if you come to clas
Dr. K was great!! She kept the class so interesting (not that psychology wasn't enough anyway!) but she showed videos of things students really cared about! No tests or quizzes but the assignments she did give were easy!!! TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES!!! Oh, and make sure you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS on her papers... it's an easy 100 or an easy 0!!
Sorry didn't mean NO TESTS! There are tests but if you study they are really easy! And I saw some bad comments about her and I don't see how she comes off like that. The class is very cut and dry. Do your homework + study + come to class= EASY A!!
The best instructor. Granted you must do you homework, and turn you work in. You can't expect an A if you don't participate and do what is expected of you. She is the kindes instructor, I have ever met. Great Teacher
I took her for psycology, human life span and child development. Shes a great and fun teacher. Try not to miss class..there's alot of material but if you're there to learn it then youll do great. Shes uses powerpoints..print them out and bring them with you to class. Shes different than any other teacher ive had. She does projects & stuff too.
Doctor Kittrell is one of the best professor I have had. Her lectures are interesting and she uses powerpoints that are available for print, which makes is much easier to take notes. As long as you go to class and take notes this class is a no brainer. Projects are time consuming so dont wait till the last minute!!!
Dr. K is one of the best professors I have ever had!!! GREAT! she is extremely clear in all her lectures and made psychology highly interesting. There is no way anyone can say bad things about her. Power points are accompanied by print at home handouts making notes a breeze. Tests are straight forward. Theres not enough room to say how great she is
THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!! Her lectures are very interesting. Not a dull moment in her class. The lectures are online and note taking is very easy with it. Easy class as long as you do your work. Study, do your homework, and come to class. Easiest thing you could ever do.
Total paradigm shifter. You will get a lot from this course. I recommend taking this class if you are genuinely interested in psych- DO NOT if you're doing it just for the cred.
Prof. Kittrel is a smart person and a knowledgeable professor, she makes her class interesting but her assignments are very unclear, she does not explain what exactly she wants from you, has only 2 tests and 3 assignments, do not buy a book! I wouldnt recommend her for your DEP class still cant get a point of those weird assignments she gave us
This class was overall easy but I felt like she did not like me so was unfair with my grades. She's boring, not funny, and honestly I dont think she's knows what she's talking about. She's extremely rude and sarcastic and I honestly left the class midway because of her rudeness. I would not recommend her to anyone. Bad teacher and waste of time.
Great teacher! Everything on her tests are word for word out of the notes. We didn't exactly need the text book. It's refreshing to have a teacher who doesn't put things on a test that have not been discussed in class.
AMAZING TEACHER!!! The only reason that she wouldn't like someone is if that person weren't an attentive student. If you like a sarcastic teacher that knows her stuff EXTREMELY well and doesnt tolerate any bull in her classroom, take her! I took every class she teaches! Dr. Kittrell is a wonderful teacher. She is so intellegent and she is really good at explaining everything! I love to sit and listen to all the stories she has that relate to the material were studying. She's funny and makes the material easier to know. Great teacher!

She was very helpful, very prompt in returning emails, very nice. She really did go out of her way to make sure I understood everything that was going on in her class. Definitely recommend her and I will be taking another class of hers.
I had Kitrell for Human Development. I wouldn't buy the book, I didn't even touch it. She gave us 3 assignments all semester that were irrelevant to anything. She was nice to the class as a whole but scary one-on-one. There's 100 question midterm and final that's easy if you took notes. I wound up with a B and I'm a hard-working student. Good luck.

Absolutely amazing teacher all around. Dr. Kitrell is a wonderful person with a great sense of humor to match. A lot of people say she's hard to talk to-- Not at all! She has a lot of respect for you if you try in her class and pay attention. She will call you out if you're not focused. I greatly greatly greatly respect this teacher.
AWFUL! Very slow at grading assignments and don't bother emailing her for help, she'll never email you back! I had her online and she was in Greece for a few weeks, told us "sorry if I don't get back right away, internet is spotty over here" You're a teacher! you need to teach and be there for students all the time. HW and tests are ridiculous!
The first few weeks of this class were great. She is very funny and she definitely knows what she is talking about and knows how to make the class interesting. However, she must be bipolar because one day she is cool, the next shes screaming at everyone. Dont bother emailing her, she won't respond no matter what. Avoid at all costs.
Took for Child Development. Class was all discussion with no tests. Just 4 projects throughout the course. Very Easy as long as you read the articles she assigns and talk in class. Most of the ariticles are online anyway. Very easy class and funny teacher. Takes attendance pretty much every class by the way
This is not the easiest class in the world--after all it is Psychology. Professor Kitrell will provide you with numerous study aides that will help you retain the information making it much easier than it could be otherwise. Highly recommend her!
Does not do any teaching whatsoever. You must read the entire book front to back in order to complete assignments and quizzes. Very rude via email and not at all willing to help students.
I did not like this teacher. Test were ridicules and out of reading assignments. You read the book, understand everything, take her test and feel like you know nothing. When I asked her how she creates her tests, answer was, â??I do not create them, book does." Well what do I need a teacher for? Do not recommend her!
Dr. Kitrell's Child Development class was the easiest clas I have ever taken! Literally all we did in class is talk talk talk! NEVER any tests or quizzez. We had 4 projects to do and thats it! You just have to talk about your readings and youre good to go! NO FINAL EXAM! ohh and the discussions are funny, interesting..never boring
Kind of a rude teacher but her class is fairly easy. Tests are straight from the notes and some skimming through the chapter in the book. I rarely showed up except for test days, project days, and guest lectures. Other than that, attendance is not mandatory and she posts her ppt notes online. Really easy class overall.
I took her online class. Extremely difficult, she doesn't really do anything. I read all the pages and half of the information she has on the homework, I don't even know where she got it from. The tests are overly difficult. It requires lots and lots of studying. The online part might of made it harder.
I've taken Dr. K for two different subjects, World Religion and Child Development. She is a phenomenal professor and has inspired me to pursue a career in criminal forensic psychology. Both classes TAUGHT me alot. I retained most of what was discussed and have used the info in real life discussions. EXCELLENT!!
An absolute phenomenal teacher. I came in to this class half-dreading it due to an AP Psych class I took in high school, but Dr. Kittrell made this class so entertaining that most of our class wanted to extend the time. Tests stay true to her lectures and are fun! I highly, highly recommend her & am taking her Child Development class next semester.

The online psychology class was pretty straightforward with minimal interaction with the professor. She gives you a website where you do 1) 100 question assignment and 1) test every week. The assignment is hell on earth but the tests aren't bad. It's easy to figure out and to pass if you put forth the effort.
Best advice for her online class. Read chapter & Have a highlighter.! if you read the chapter for each week and highlight the definitions, YOU WILL PASS.! she gives a quiz about the chapter and Learnsmart multiple choice questions at the end of each week. Has extra credit each week as well. Easy A if you read chapter.
She's just wonderful. Classes are super clear and she'll tell you what's gonna be on the test. Exams are multiple choice. The book is a little expensive and online homework is somehow hard, and it has deadline so don't leave it for last minute because homework is a major percentage of the grade. She uses great examples and helps you a lot.
She is amazing. Very caring and willing to help and answer questions. If you study and attend class, you'll pass. She tries to make the material fun to learn.
Taking Dr. Kittrells class online right now. Literally the whole semester consists of Connect assignments and a Quiz on each section of the chapter. There are 4 Unit Test. Don't wait till last minute to do your assignments. You never know when technology will fail. If you do your work and study for the Unit Tests this class is a easy A.
THIS PROFESSOR NEVER ANSWERS E-MAILS OR CALLS!!! If you miss something or need to ask a question, don't even bother. You can never get ahold of her. She gets paid to post you need to complete your work online and that's it. My first and last online class ever!!!!!
It is near impossible to get in contact with this teacher. I emailed her several times over a few days with no answer, then it took a week to get her on the phone with me. Do not expect help because it takes her 2 weeks to put in grades and has automatic announcements.
Lots of readings and homework. Not too difficult, but really time absorbing. Lecture were useless, but somewhat entertaining.
Great teacher!! Very helpful for an online class. I was having trouble with a few things and I emailed her and set up a time to speak on the phone very promptly to help me get back on track. Her recorded lectures are very help with the unit tests and a must hear. She is very smart and full of useful information for life in general. RECOMMENDED!!
homework is helpful, lectures aren't so much.. more for entertaining. Her online exams is content word for word out of the book.. easy way to get a good grade if your at least familiar with the chapters.

This professor just doesn't respond to emails or calls AT ALL (this is not a joke). Her class is heavy on the reading (took a late starting class though), homework is difficult, tests not so much. If you can deal with a teacher that doesn't respond, this is the way to go!

Class is easy if you read the text and watch the lectures, professor on the other hand did not email me back after several attempts to contact her. Took this class during the semester hurricane Irma hit, I had no power for 10 days, I tried emailing her several times from my phone about it, never got back to me and I had 0's on all that week's work.
Expect to read a lot in this class! If you have a full schedule, taking multiple classes, work full-time, or are busy and struggling with other courses, this class WILL be a challenge. You'll have quite the amount of assignments. There is not much time for play, class is easy if you have enough time on your hands otherwise it is a challenge.
Extremely easy! Just do the weeks work and its an easy pass. She isnt involved as much, although I did take the six week summer course so she was on vacay. Even then she still made the effort to call me when I had an issue. I highly recommend you take this course,if I worked full time and have kids and was able to pass then so can anyone else!
I had a wonderful time taking her course this semester. I love listening to her lectures while completing the weekly assigned work. She has inspired love and passion for psychology in my heart now. She has a beautiful outlook on life and I never thought I would laugh so much with my professor. She is extremely genuine, caring and bright!
This course is by third party. I did message her very early in the semester and never heard back... however, the course is easily navigated and an easy A. I also never used the expensive textbook I was assured I would need. There is no final and the only thing even remotely stressful are her tests. Everything else you can retake until you get a 100
The professor is almost never involved. All of the course work is through a third party. The good thing about this class is that you know all of the assignments beforehand. It can be a lot of work but if you do it on time it is an easy A.
Absolutely no participation/teaching from this professor. Read the textbook, take the quizzes and exams; all on Connect. She teaches nothing. I reached out to her via email early on in the course and she offered to set up a phone meeting to help me. When I accepted, she ghosted me. Completely unprofessional. Work isn't difficult. Lots of reading.
I took this class in Summer B 2020 and the professor is not involved at all. All the work is from Mcgraw Hill connect. what got me through the exams and homework is Quizlet. all homework and learn smart are unlimited attempts them exams are like 50 questions each.. if you are good with online classes and can manage your time I would take this.....
i should probably write a review for mcgraw hill rather than this professor. absolute laziest instructor with no participation - everything runs through connect. if you actually want to have interaction with your professor find someone else. sent her three emails, no reply. she should probably retire she shows no interest in teaching.
Completely unprofessional and rude in email responses. I had a grade issue and was not able to reach her for weeks despite multiple emails and calls. Had to talk to the dean of teachers to finally get her to send an extremely rude email weeks late that did not help my grade. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
Tried contacting on multiple occasions through phone/voicemail as well as canvas and school email. I even went as far as contacting school and had them email teacher. Still no response. So if you have any questions or emergencies then forget about getting a response at all. Presence was non existent and every email was automated.
I took the 8 week course. One week required 20 assignments to be completed. To put it into perspective, one of those assignments was 261 questions. It was very difficult to balance with my other classes. Everything is through McGraw Hill, and the professor is not involved with the subject (very lazy) . Be prepared to do only textbook work
If you take this class beware of the busy work and homework she assigns. It is usually 8 or 9 assignments a week (usually 200 questions and 2 hours long) and then a test at the end. Be prepared to do her work for hours a week and not learn anything tbh. easy A if you submit the assignments every week but time consuming. DOESNT RESPOND TO EMAILS!!!
This teacher thinks that this one class about psychology is your only class in semester. If you plan on taking her online i promise you, you will lose alot of time. Each week there are modules and they average around 15-20 modules a week but some of these modules have upwards to 120 questions each which takes me over an hour for just one module.

Dr. Kittrell's online class is no joke, but in interactions with her, she is a living angel on earth. No other teacher has made me cry, but Dr. Kittrell will always be a hero to me.
I am currently halfway through the Summer A semester, I am waiting on a response to my e-mails starting 3 weeks ago, nothing. She hasn't graded my assignments from 3 weeks ago, and the exams have literally nothing to do with the key points that were advised to study. This class consumes my life, there are 21 assignments just this week alone.
Based on other ratings, the full-semester course seems WAY different from the SUMMER B course online (which I took). In the 6 wk course, I had to complete assignment questions & take a 50-question test each week on 2-3 chapts through MGH. Tests are weighed more so TAKE GOOD NOTES!! Prof posts lectures online if needed. Dont expect her to reply to u
I took it because I thought it would be easy but she is no joke. She is test heavy so find your study method. Homework load is a lot every week. Basically you will teach yourself the material. I would recommend taking it on campus if you can .
There is nothing positive I can say about her. The entire spring class was a joke, I was kicked out of 2 exams through mcgraw hill which in the end failed me. She never responded to any of these pertinent emails in regards to THEIR system crashing, needless to say I just got one exam re opened after almost a year, I will not take this class again.
This was an online class. She does provide lectures but the interactive weekly reading and questions were so time consuming I couldn't watch the lectures. I tried to communicate my challenges with the online program and she got defensive so I just did the work. I don't recommend online only for this course and professor.
This professor gives way too much work as if you don't have 3 other classes. Proctored unit tests every other week about two chapters that have usually have nothing to do with each other or what you studied. Every assignment take 4 hours and she gives 7 for us to do in a single week.I have friends that dropped this class. Do not recommend
Horrible response time for several student in the class. Syllabus/Project instructions were virtually useless. Every student in the class had a hard time with it and her response was to refer to the syllabus. Delayed grading as well. She isn't engaged in the class.
12 assignments a week with a test on 3 chapters. Tests have nothing to do with the assignments. Only way to pass class if you aren't full time and taking this class only. This has been the worst class I have ever been in it was flunking my gpa and I am only on week 4. Me and other classmates are dropping the class.Go with any other professor.
Hands down the WORST professor I’ve ever had. She assigns 10+ assignments on the same day as a 2 or 3 chapter exams. She is very untimely getting back in touch with students. If you actually are successful in scheduling a meeting with her about the workload or other issues you are having, she takes it personally, gets defensive and disrespectful
Every single week this professor assigns 10+ assignments and exams on the same day! As if that’s not enough, she expects you to simultaneously do work for a group project. Her expectations are unrealistic and inconsiderate. When students speak to her about trouble they’re having, she throws it back in their face and will tell them to do better.
Really struggled with this class, assignments took hours to complete and the class was mostly graded based on tests. Was hard to reach her and get a quick response, and we had to do a group project in an ONLINE class which is not an easy task.
Do not take this class! Worst class ever! Tests are NOTHING about the smartbook. She assigned hours worth of work. If you are a full time student, good luck because your not going to be able to focus on any other subjects.
I hated this class. It is quite literally impossible to get in touch with her. She flat out just doesn't respond to any emails, and if you're lucky you get one it's never good. I have been a B+/A- student all semester but am now failing. She doesn't send out any information regarding deadlines or anything. Don't take this course
Not good. The assignments were NEVER what was on the exams. And the exams were weighted heavily usually 100 points while the assignments were worth 5 or 10 points. She also never responded to emails and questions and concerns from students.
This was one of the worst classes i've taken. The classed used Mcgraw Hill. The reading took hours, only to spend hours on the assignments. The proctored tests usually never matched up with the assignments. Her lectures were short, so you had to rely on the heavy reading materials. Do not recommend.
Dr. Kittrell was good. Her tests are proctored and very difficult...however she gives assignments to ensure you know the material before you take the tests. Your grade is basically determined by the scored you get on the tests though. I would take her again, however it is very work heavy.
She uses McGrawHill and doesn't teach anything. The reading is so long and the smartbook assignments don't match up with the tests AT ALL. The tests are proctored. I studied the homework and did horrible on the tests. The class grade pretty much is based on the tests. I am normally a good student and this class has been awful. Don't take her!!!!
Truthfully, this class is not exceptionally difficult. There is a lot of reading every week and the study material does not always reflect what is on the test. Assignments are not worth many points, so you must do well on the tests to get a good grade. However, if you thoroughly read each chapter and do the study material, you will pass the class.
This class was a struggle. Heavy workload, with assignments and exams that never seemed to align. Reaching the professor was difficult, and she wasn't very helpful when we did connect. Suggest using Unstuck study and other study tools to get through this one.
dr. kittrell is awful. i sent her dozens of emails regarding papers i had written and she never responded to ANY of them. it's an online class that is completely remote so the fact that she never answered me really hurt my grade. claims she couldn't access any of my files but i made sure they were shared. -7/10 on my scale. do not take this class.
This class was low key pointless, I learned more about chatgpt then I did about Psychology. There were assignments she had us do yet never graded them. Zero structure on what to study. Smart book assignments that don't do anything to your grade. If you want to learn more about ChatGpt instead of psychology then this class is for you.
All she uses is Mcgrawhill to teach. Her tests do not match what you learn. Cares more about her students learning about Chatgpt. You are basically doing her research for her on AI in psychology I wouldn't of taken this class if I knew I was going to learn more about AI and not psychology. gives you nonsense work to not even bother grading.
Don't take this class. All you get are lecture videos then you have to teach yourself. Learning 2 chapters in one week to then test on it is impossible because what you think you need to study is incorrect. Psych is supposed to be easy not complicated but that's what happens when you learn more about Ai then about the actual subject lol.
basically the only things that matters are the proctored test besides that the other assigments do not improve your grade at all, they can lower it . Do not take this class the tests are super hard and she does not give any study guides for it.
All of it was on McGraw-Hill, and there was no teaching from the instructor. She had assignments that we had to use ChatGPT for. Tests were proctored and over 2 chapters at a time. There is no teaching from her side, so understanding the material is hard since the work goes Textbook-> Intro assignment->Smartbook, then test if you have on that week
cheri cheri cheri all i can say is save your money. the tests were never like the readings. THEY WERE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. didn't reply to emails and would not offer extra credit
