I had her for leadership skills. This course is one that will pay dividends in the workforce when you have to work together with coworkers. Not to mention the daily application of leadership skills helped tremendously. Taker her for management 331!

Outstanding Professor!! Cheryl's holistic approach is easy to follow, very applicable and I know I will remember what she taught. She is extremely approachable and friendly and in my opinion, is exactly what a professor should be. I wish she was teaching more courses, as I feel she is probably thee best professor I've had.

First of all, this class was extremely easy. You write 5-7 short essays and that's it. No tests, no quizes, no final. My only problem with this class is that it was at 8 am, and if you were 1 minute late, you were counted absent. Your 3rd absence subtracts 5 POINTS from your FINAL AVG. She also comes off as being "fake" as she is overly excited.

Ms. Barksdale is hands-down the best professor I have ever had. She knows what she is talking about and does not appear fake at all. She is so involved in what she teaches and the students she teaches. She has a strict attendance policy (1 minute late and you're counted absent), but everyone needs to get used to being up at 8AM& being on time.

She was great!! She really cares about her students and how much they learn, but she doesn't assign mindless tasks all the time.

Barksdale is the best! She makes the class so interesting to the point that you forget that the class is almost 3 hours long. Make sure to ask her for clarity on what she wants to see in your projects and papers. If you put you heart into your work you will make an A. You need to get the book because we used it ALOT.

The best and possibly most caring teacher I've had at UT. She gives 100% to her students and class and it shows in the outcome of learned material. I have taken things from this class that will help me in life and have seen them in use before the class is even over. If you put some effort into the class, the output is tangible and life applicable.

Very kind, enthusiastic and a great teacher. Really cares about every student. Attendance is important because there are participation grades in almost every class. Rather easy and interesting material. Tests have similar questions as seen in the homework throughout a chapter. The textbook is completely online. Not many assignments

Cheryl was very enthusiastic literally every single day. She holds a good lecture. All the slides for the course were posted online, so if you missed something, it was easy to access. She's also very accessible outside of class and really tries her best to connect with her students.

If you want an 'A' in this class--from office hours to reviewing missed exam questions--Dr. B will do whatever necessary to get you there. She picks random days for graded in class assignments, but other than not attendance isn't counted. Typically there is one homework assignment a week and 4 exams including the midterm and final (not cumulative).

Dr. Barksdale was a great MGT 202 professor. She genuinely cares about her students grades and learning the material, and is eager to help in any way she can. The exams are not easy, but if you put in the work and get feedback from her, you'll do fine. Would highly recommend taking Dr. Barksdale if you have the option!

She is a pretty good teacher. Enthusiastic about management and teaching. Readings and homework are short and easy. Exams are easy, but they are outside of class time and in-person.

Dr. Barksdale was incredibly kind. You can tell she really cares about what she does and wants her students to succeed. The department curves almost every exam and gives you an exam drop. Show up and listen and you will do well.

Loves her job and is always enthusiastic, you have to show up for class because she does an ICP almost everyday and those add up. All homeworks and quizzes you can find a quizlet with all the answers on. She isnt very helpful about family emergencies tho and wouldnt let me makeup and exam when I had to fly home for my grandthers funeral.

Dr. Barksdale has been my favorite professor at UT. Dr. B is caring and always eager to help! She takes attendance randomly, so it is important to come to class. Assignments consist of an individual presentation, multiple choice homework, application projects, and exams. Pay attention in class and read the book and you will do great in this class!

Dr. B is amazing, she is super clear on what she expects of her students. She outlines everything and grades quickly. Her exams also have a cheat sheet which is super helpful.

She was amazing! Lots of content but she will help you when she can. She responds fast and you can tell in her lectures that she LOVES what she does. The only issue is that the course has no flexibility for life emergencies. That however, is a department rule, not hers. if you have to take the course, take Barksdale.

Dr. B takes her job very seriously and cares so much for the success of her students. She will put so much time into making sure her presentation is clear and provide so many examples to ensure you understand, she is far better than any other mgt 202 prof and she is arguably the best prof at this school.

I absolutely love Dr. B! She has such a passion for what she does, it's reflected in her lectures and teaching. Attendance is mandatory and there are in-class participation assignments, but her energy and enthusiasm are contagious. She is easily accessible outside of class for any reason and truly cares about her students. I highly recommend her.

Barksdale is a great professor. She is very high energy and some people find her a little over the top, but it just comes from her love for the topic. She is very knowledgeable and wants her students to succeed. Her lectures can sometimes be hard to follow, but if you show up and do the work it's easy to get an A.

I love Dr. Barksdale. She is so passionate about the class and she genuinely makes me excited to go to class and learn. She cares about everyone and is so sweet to her students. Make sure to take notes and study for the exams but overall the class was fairly easy. Not much homework either. Would definitely recommend taking her!

Dr. B was one of my favorite professors this semester. Her lectures are not super entertaining, but it is clear that she cares deeply about her students and loves what she does. She's an efficient grader and is very accessible outside of class. ICPs and attendance are mandatory, but class is not very difficult.

Amazing professor. Lectures are very interesting, and Dr. B uses plenty of real-world examples to help understand the material. Homework, quizzes, and exams are easy as long as you are present. She offers appointments outside of class for extra help. 10/10 class and would recommend her to anyone who needs a MGT 202 credit.

Professor B is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. She is understanding and genuinely cares about her students. She allows a note sheet for her exams so as long as you do that and study it's easy. You do have ICP's. Her lectures are very informative but she makes them interesting. I highly, highly recommend her!

Dr. B is an amazing professor! I wish I could take her for all of my Haslam classes! She cares about students and genuinely wants to build a relationship with them. She creates an environment that students want to engage in and that welcomes her students to ask questions. The tests are quite easy because of the sheet of written notes allowed.

Pretty easy class overall. Really good professor who gives great, in-depth examples to help you understand topics. It's best to go to class and take consistent notes to make the exams as easy as possible, but she also allows a cheat sheet for every exam. Would recommend this class for anyone taking MGMT202.

Professor Barksdale is AWESOME. She is seriously the most wholesome gal and is a great professor. Her MGT202 classes were lecture-heavy with a lot of note-taking, but you get a cheat sheet on every exam and we do a lot of review. Weekly HW but it's not too hard. Attendance is mandatory. Go as much as possible because she doesn't post the slides.

She really cares about all of her students. I was awful about attendance which I regret but her class is easy to do exceedingly well in as long as you show up to class. The second I started showing up I saw a difference immediately and she's got lots of energy for her students.

You need to go to class and take notes! She does not post the slides, and the slides are not filled in on canvas. Attendance is required. exams are easy if you pay attention in class. do not get in the habit of not going.

Dr. B was an incredible teacher in MGT 202, and I wish she taught every class in Haslam. My only complaint about the class was the exams were weighted a lot, but she does allow you to use a cheat sheet. Dr. B is infectiously cheery. Every class she is in a great mood and keeps lectures interesting. The homework is time consuming but quite easy, and attendance is technically not mandatory but she does clicker questions in class for a small grade. There are a good amount of exams, so there are ample opportunities to pad your grade.

Definitely one of the most passionate profs I've ever had. Always smiling and always sharing fun details abt really anything she feels like. For such a boring class, she makes it as fun as she can, and if I get a chance to have her as a prof for a harder course, I will gladly take it.

If I could take her for every college course I would. She breaks everything down into basic terms so that everyone can get a grasp and then builds from there. Her powerpoints are always very helpful and she is great about responding in a timely manner. This is the second course of hers I have taken and both made a boring/tricky class enjoyable.

Professor Barksdale is a strong lecturer and her readings are super helpful for understanding course material. Her readings are required and graded (completion), so I feel motivated to complete them. There are in-class quizzes on material; but the bottom 50% are dropped, so you can miss half of the lectures with no consequences. Tests are not hard.

Overall Dr. Barksdale is a great professor who really cares for all of her students. The lectures at times can have a lot of info. If you take the time to read the text book and take the smart books seriously, you shouldn't have a problem. The exams are more application based rather than definitions. I absolutely loved Dr. B! There is homework 2 times a week that is pretty easy, and attendance is only mandatory for 50% of classes. You have these random 5 point questions in class where the bottom 50% get dropped. The 4 exams are worth 75% so if you do badly on more than 2 you're kind of screwed. She's always available to meet and help!

Dr. B is INCREDIBLE, she's really nice, her lectures are very helpful, and she always stays a little bit after class to answer any questions you have about the lecture. It was my only 8AM, but it was by far my favorite class this semester. For exams, pay attention to lectures, take notes, and read the sim-cases.I truly can't recommend Dr. B enough!

Dr. B was AMAZING!! Her lectures are interesting and easy to follow, and she is always ready to help students before, during, and after her classes. I went to see her after missing a few lectures due to illness, and she welcomed me with open arms! I will truly miss having her as my professor, and I hope we cross paths in future classes.
