She is a great teacher and very easy. She teaches grammar and gives quizzes that you are allowed to use your notes on. Only 3 essays but you have a SHORT story/essay to read at night. Both easy and informative.

Great teacher to have. She clears up all of your grammar insecurities so that you are a better writer. Her class is enjoyable too, which is a plus!

Cheryl is great! she is interesting and has excellent anticdotes or studies to discuss for everything you talk about. I enjoyed her class so much I was upset when it was over. Our final project was crafty and personal, very easy. I don't know of anyone in the class who didn't get an A.

Cheryl is the best teacher. She was always there to give you advice andguidance. Quizzes arent bad as long as you do the reading assignments, and essay are fairly good. You choose the topic. Very down to earth adn overall kind lady. Highly RECOMMEND!

This class was very easy. There are no tests just quizes(grammer and short stories)and the final.She was nice and funny but I think if you really want to improve as a writer you should take another class. Maybe it was just me but I don't feel prepared for 1200...but I do recommend her if you currently have a strong writing background

cheryl was my favorite teacher last semester. her class was very easy; if you went to most of the classes, took notes, turned papers in on time, and read the assignments on the syllabus. i learned a lot about grammar. quizzes and the final were both open-note.

this is by far the nicest lady you will ever meet...she grades easy and understands when things like your computer have problems...just read and do the work on time

I absolutely loved Cheryl's class; she was my favorite professor here. She is wacky and has her antics, but has character. She is fun and wants you to learn and improve. If you read the assignments from the book, come to class to take the quizzes, and do your papers, you'll be fine. Grammar quizzes are take-home! I can't wait to take her again!

This is the second time I have her as a professor and she is still one of the nicest professors I have ever had.

My favorite person on the campus! This is an amazing woman and teacher. Classes are interesting and work load is not bad at all. She is also very understanding. I have taken her twice (Engl 1100 & Wost 2000) and I have loved ever minute of it. Taking her again this summer for Womens Literature. I can't stress enough how wonderful she is!

Shes so nice and her class is easy! Just go to class and read the assignments and ull do fine! her final is open note open book and she is very fair. she has pet peeves though so be careful of them! Shes the best professor at ECU! I loved her!

She is really nice but can be really weird at times. She is really easy to pay attention to because you never know what type of weird comment she will make. Attendance isn't mandatory but she does a lot of reading quizzes. Its an easy A though!

She's still one of my favorite teachers here. Cheryl is xtremely helpful esp when it comes to attendance (which is mandatory) if you can't come to your scheduled class she just allows you to drop in to another class (you have to come to one or the other)...Picky about grammar but not ****y, very sweet woman!!

she is SOOOOO nice but kinda weird........you can go to any of her classes so there is no way you should miss class........she gives out alot of grades and she is very picky about grammar.......final was the easiest thing EVER IT WAS ALL GRAMMAR!!!!! she's really nice though.......and has a great sense of humor

she is one of the best teachers i had last semester! she is so nice and always there toif you need any help. There isn't a lot of outside work, but there are grammer quizes. The quizes are open notes, you can use others, and you can ask her for help. This class is a Great class and I highly recommend taking it!!!

I have mixed reviews of her- I like her because shes very flexible with her classes(she teaches 4 eng 1100 classes and u can go to whichever one you like)but she grades hard on her essays and grammar quizzes. there are a lot of quizzes on reading and grammar, so if you suck at grammar, i wouldnt say this is the best choice for u.

She was a wonderful teacher. Very helpful when it comes to papers. She is always willing to meet with you before papers are due and will tell you what you need to correct. Grammar quizzes are open book and notes, so they are not hard. Go to class, and go to see her in her office, and you will truly learn how to write papers. Liked her class.

I really enjoyed Mrs Cheryl. She is different and weird but that's what I liked about her. You will seriously learn a lot in her class and she is always willing to help. She is a great teacher and if you put forth the effort you will get the grade you want but she def makes you work for it! she is awesome!

She is a great professor!! Take her if you can. Easy reading quizzes on interesting topics. Grammar quizzes you can do together. She makes the class really interesting. Keeps you the full time but no class on Fridays!! Only 3 big essays. She is a little tough on grading these but I made all As. 10 one page journals that are easy.

Great lady. I enjoyed having her. She was entertaining to say the least. She is, however, one of the only Professors on campus to grade on a 7 point scale. SO WATCH FOR THAT. Other than that, do your work and be open minded when you see her!!!!

I loved having Cheryl for a teacher! She is always willing to help her students. The grammar quizzes are easy and can be done as a group. There are 10 reading journals to do, but they are not difficult. She is definitely the "Queen of Grammar," but she tells you everything you need to know regarding all her quizzes and the final.

The best professor i've had thus far at ECU. The class is very easy and if you are having trouble she is more than willing to help. I wish she taught all of my ENGL courses.

Cheryl is by far my favorite professor at ECU. She is very helpful. She will proofread all essays before you turn them in and she lets you use notes on the final. take her if you get the chance!

Class flew by with her class interactive discussions. She teaches grammar very easily and effectively. The longest essay out of the three you write is less than three pages. Everyone got fifteen percent of the grade if they attempted a project. As long as you read, study and go to class you are guaranteed an A. Go to class only and a B. Hah.

She is a great teacher! She helps you with all your papers. She is very sweet. She can talk about random things but she's funny. I'd take her again! She gives quizzes every week but you can use your notes and people in class. Easy A!

SHE'S AMAZING! You take a lot of quizzes but they help your grade a lot. Also, there is only four papers. I suck at writing yet the lowest grade I recieved is a 110! 10 EXTRA CREDIT points for turning it in early :) She makes class interesting! I tried signing up for ENGL 1200 but she wasn't offering it. TAKE HER!!

Never found myself getting bored in her class. There's no attendance policy but there are reading or grammar quizzes almost every class. She grades by a 7 point scale which is kind of tough and I found it almost impossible to get over a B on a paper. She's a raging feminist though and her comments get annoying and are sometimes unnecessary.

After I completed this class I found myself searching for other courses I might be able to take with her. She is a wonderful lady. Classes were interesting and productive. I loved her sense of humor! If you have the opportunity, take her!

She is an awesome teacher. If you have class MWF you don't have to show up to class Friday. She just has office hours and you can bring in your papers and she'll basically grade them and then you can re-do them. TAKE HER. She's easy and a nice lady.

She is a great professor. No Friday classes, office hours not mandatory but recommended. I got all As on my papers but I am a good writer already. Meet with her about your paper it will definitely help you. Meeting with her can determine an A or B if you're close. Great with grammar and not too difficult. 7 point scale kills though.

I had Mz.Dudasik-Wiggs last semester, and she was the best. She puts forth the extra effort to help students. It is easy to get good grades if you try. She is a stickler for grammar and showing up on time though, pretty strict on that. My grammar may be bad, but it improved most in her class. She's great at teaching that. She can be a friend too.

Cheryl is great! She genuinely takes an interest in her students and it's very clear to see that she's passionate about the material. I've had a lot of really good conversations with her throughout the semester. She's very hard on grammar, but there's no excuse to get lower than a 90 on her paper because she's always open to looking papers over.

She is a good teacher, but she is very strict. She is constantly available to look on papers. But she will not give you any exceptions if something is not right. With papers please watch out for grammar and pay attention to her rules for them. Also there is not a lot of papers you have to write. Maybe 4

The best english teacher you will ever have. I am a third language speaker and i still managed to get a great grade with her help:)! take her if you can. This is the only English class that i learned from because you will have grammar quizzes every other day:) East quizzes but VERY helpful. My English became 10 times better when i took her.

Awesome teacher! So sweet and so helpful. You write 4 papers during the semester, grammar quizzes, and reading quizzes. but no tests. She's so helpful and truly caring about her students, I would love to have her teach all of my classes!

Ahh. Cheryl Jurassic-Pigs (don't call her that) is by far the best professor at ECU. Not many assignments but just respect her and take advantage of her office hours cause due dates sneak up on you! READ WRITE DOWN THE SYLLABUS!!!! if you turn in your papers early she'll give you extra credit but she doesn't tell the students that! I LOVED her!!

I loved the class! She was an incredible professor. Cheryl gave immensely helpful critiques of my papers. She quickly became a friend of mine. She is a very kind and a progressively thinking professor. Be prepared to write often, as well. The grammar was tricky, but it was worth the struggle.

Ms. Cheryl is a hilarious woman who knows her stuff. She's a stickler for grammar and you have quizzes but most are done with peers in class. The assignments are reasonable and she offers help. She's grades on the 7 point scale, which sucks. But if you take your quizzes and let her review your papers before you turn them in and you'll do fine.

I love Cheryl! She is extremely helpful. If you go to her office hours she will bascially correct your whole paper for you. Only like 3 papers, one summary. Quizzes on readings ocassionally. Presentation at end of semester on your research topic. She really listens to her students. At the end with our big paper, she let us work on it everyday

Cheryl is one of the coolest English professors at ECU. You can tell she is passionate about her job. You have 3 papers, reading quizzes almost every week on interesting passages, grammar quizzes (in class with your peers!). Fridays are chill, workshop days where she is there to help you with your papers. AND she has a sense of humor. TAKE HER!

Mrs. Cheryl is a fabulous ENGL 1100 professor. You have reading and grammar quizzes basically every week, but she will give you the answers if you ask specific questions. No tests, just 4 papers (plus a self-assessment, which is required of her). She's funny and very helpful. She loves if you visit her office

She is always willing to help in anyway she can and is very well respected, just be ready for a hodge podge of work piled on top of each other such as discussion boards, readings for quizzes, grammar quizzes and papers. It can be a little overwhelming but it's not difficult work just a lot.

Mrs. Wiggs really knows her stuff and does a good job conveying what she knows to her students. Is kind of tough on grading papers but gives you good feedback so you only get better. Probably the best English teacher I've had, would definitely take her class if you have the choice.

Professor Wiggs is a great teacher who is there to help you. You will not make a bad grade in this class if you go to her for help. If you have her look over your paper before turning it in, she will help you make a good grade on it. She is a compassionate teacher and i thoroughly enjoyed her. Professor Dudasik-Wiggs came in last minute to take over my class after my other professor left. Needless to say she's amazing and really brought the class into full gear because it was extremely unorganized to begin with. Take her!!! Plus she's hilarious :)

I love Cheryl! She was such a great english professor and wish I could take her again. She gives about 4/5 papers throughout the semester with no final exam. She gives gives good feedback on all your papers and is more than willing to help. She gives grammar/reading quizzes about once a week but simple and can work as a group to complete them!

Ms. Cheryl is a good English professor. She gives A LOT of assignments to where messing up on any assignment would do nothing to your grade. Sometimes she would take attendance, so it's best to attend her class. I would recommend her class.

Awesome teacher. Relatable, funny, & sarcastic in the best way. 4 major papers with freedom choosing topics. Quick journals every week. Not too much work for an ENG class. Fair grader and I made awesome grades on every paper. I loved this professor. Everyone should take her.

She is an amazing professor! During the course of her class there are four major writing assignments that you will have. There are no tests but she does administer grammar quizzes and reading quizzes on occasion. She is a tough grader but it is for your benefit. Also, go to class and go to her office hours if you need any help.

Cheryl is the sweetest woman ever!!! She is so understanding & only takes attendance on days with guest speakers. You have 3 major papers + final presentation. She gives you all deadlines at the beginning of the semester so you can manage your time. I 100% recommend even though she has a 7-point grading scale - she is a relaxed grader.

An awesome professor- funny, sweet, and has a hippie vibe to her. Takes attendance every day but not for a grade. Usually small classes so you can get to know her pretty well- and she will notice when you arent there. Papers are long and shes a hard grader, but gives good feedback and can cut you a little slack sometimes. Go to class!

She is the sweetest lady on the planet. She's very understanding and willing to help you with anything. There aren't many papers but they are long. A very small class so you'll get to know her on a personal level. Utilize her office hours, she really loves that and will help you out in the long run.

Dr. Cheryl is a really sweet person and good teacher, but she is a bit strict. No late grades/extra credit and it's graded on a 7 point scale instead of 10. However, she does have a lot of pretty easy assignments so if you do poorly it isn't the end of the world. She also is very accessible and will provide a lot of feedback if you just ask.

A very nice professor that genuinely cares a lot about students. You MUST go to class if you do not go to class then, you will get zero sympathy from her. Not hard at all, just a little bit of effort for our final paper at the end but she was a nice grader. Also know that her class is a 7 point grading scale, so a 92 will be a B+.

She helps you on the grammar quizzes and her door is always open for office hours. You have a big paper that you work on all year and if you ask for help, she will help you. Just make sure you turn in everything on time and show up to class. I'm not a huge fan of english but she made it enjoyable and I learned a lot from her.

Loved Cheryl. The class itself wasn't anything super exciting though. Assignments were spread out and she was accessible outside of class. She will help you with editing your paper and assignments if you show you're putting in the effort.
