Prof. Ferguson is one of the best professors I have had. This class is designed to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary with a strong focus on formal essay writing. There were five essays written throughout the semester. She is a relaxed and straight to the point prof. You will succeed in this course if you put in the effort to learn.

BEST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD. She explains what you have to do very clearly. She gives examples to clarify an assignment and is so willing to help you in any way she can. She is very inspirational, encouraging, and hilarious. Group work is inevitable, but if you're antisocial, don't fret, she unites the whole class and makes sure no one is left out.

This class is boring but Mrs. Fergi makes it somewhat interesting. She does get off topic, like A LOT! But this class is easy and she lets you use your book on tests.

If you do the work required and show up to the class regularly, you will get the grade you earn. She is one of my favorite professors. She's so funny and hilarious. In the lecture, you will be learning and reading stories from each chapter. After the chapter, you are going to get a test. On lab days, she will let you read 2 readings from the computer. If you are going to have her as your professor, get her. She is fun.

Ms Fergi is highly understanding and knows you have a life outside of class. She is flexible with work and makes adjustments to schedules so everyone has a chance to succeed. Lectures are simple and assignments are easy to understand. Essays are choice essays so you can write about things that interest you within the guidelines. Very positive!

The class is focused on 3 papers. The first is a lead/I believe essay. She helps you out by giving you assignments to help build your paper and skills you can use on other ones. The second paper is on the definition of a word. However, the word can be anything even derogatory. The 3rd and final paper is on poetry or music. Highly recommend her.

My name is Tenisha Stephens and I recently had Ms Cheryl Ferguson for ENGLISH1180 for my Spring/Summer Semester Class.,Yes, English1180 was my prerequisite class that was a requirement, all in all, Ms. Ferguson gives great feedback on all assignments, responses are very quick with any and all concerns you may have regarding any assignments.

Miss Fergi is an awesome professor! Shes very down-to-earth and real with her students. She made sure everyone was on the same page (extended due dates based on where everyone was at) and was always open for questions outside of class. Its a very stress-free course! And despite being a required, it was my favorite!

One of the most interactive and creative professors I've ever had. Introduced me to new writing and research techniques that have drastically improved my writing capabilities academically and for personal use.

I took this class online, and her policy was if you skip more than two classes your grade goes down by a whole grade. That being said she was very understanding about special circumstances. Overall a very nice professor. The class focused more on creative writing than I expected, but she was a very fair grader for those who aren't the best writers.

Ms. Ferguson is a sweet kind open minded being that has a way of explaining to make everyone understand. She was very detail oriented in every aspect of the class to make first timers understand. We had great group discussions during lecture & she had a way of engaging all the students to feel comfortable with one another.

Ms Ferg is probably my favorite prof. She's extremely funny and talkative to the class. There's a couple of big essays but there's easy smaller assignments between that are easy As. She encourages everyone to share their papers but you don't have to. Wish I could have her for every class!

Professor Ferguson has to be my favorite professor that I've had throughout college. She doesn't just give us an assignment and say "do it", she leads up to the big assignment with little ones so we really understand what is expected. Before this class I despised English, but now I feel like I've grown to enjoy it and actually be good at it.

Professor Ferguson helped me get over my hatred for writing. The course consists of a few essays with clear rubrics and plenty of examples to look at. Pre-writing assignments were done before the actual essays, which helped with the essays a lot. She is very caring and willing to help with work or answer questions.

Fergi is awesome she is like a friend who happens to be grading your work. She gives homework once a week but it all ties into your final papers so you can just rearrange your work into your papers. She gives you 3 absences per semester. She gives out her personal number so you can contact her at any point with any issues.

One of the best professors at MCC, she gives plenty of time to complete homework and advice on how to do the larger projects. The homework are few and useful for getting the most out of large projects.

Took ENG1180 in person this semester. VERY VERY participation based, so be weary if you are not that comfortable with group work, presentations, sharing your work, etc. This professor is so sweet and she gives some of the best feedback you will ever get. She would always extend due dates and give you ample time to work on homework in class.

Great Professor! Contacted her 4 times in regards to questions about some assignments and she was very prompt in her response. Very kind, caring and reachable if you have any questions. She gave three big assignments so make sure you invest time in your papers before you submit them for a grade. She gives great feedback and constructive criticism.
