Least qualified professor in the Industrial Engineering program. She has no clue what she is teaching, and is literally never prepared. If you are a student who actually wants to learn, not just get a grade and get pushed along, do not take her for any course. Chastises students in front of class for being 1 minute late. Rude and very incompetent!!

Its base is straight out of the text book. She copies and pastes content from the book straight into the lectures. She rambles for the first and last 20 min of class about things unrelated to the course. She is completely disorganized. Don't waste your time with this teacher, just buy the book and learn the material on your own. Waste of time!

Her lectures are very boring, she is a very tough grader, the quizzes average was 60%, it took her almost two month to grade the first and second assignment.

Lectures are dull and pointless as she tends to go off on tangents a lot and you can learn more from just reading the powerpoints and the book. She is a extremely tough grader and will deduct points on the smallest things on your paper. If you can take another professor I strongly recommend it.

If I can give her zero, I will definitely do it. I took online course this semester so there is no attendance issue. HOWEVER!! She doesn't have office hours which means you have to send her an email to set an appointment. BUT SHE NEVER REPLIED EMAIL. If you have any problem about the class, please save your time on seeking help for her. Nightmare!!

For online class, I had three papers and discussion participation. These weren't bad. Clear grading structure. For the tests, most of them were write-ins. I still don't know what kind of answers she wanted. Test grading criteria is vague. Just write as much as you can, I guess. Lectures are basically useless. She reads off the slides. Use the book

She is not a good professor. She goes through the lectures very fast and the class examples are NOTHING like the test or homework problems.

Professor Jennings is the rudest, disrespectful, and unprofessional professor Ive met in my past 4 years in college. She has extremely unnecessary rules and flips out on simple mistakes people make. She has zero understanding of common respect between people. Her teaching is also absolutely atrocious and puts in zero effort in helping anyone.

Drop my minor due to seeing her attitude toward student. Very rude and do not help students with DRC. Im a Chemical Engineer and her teaching has no relevance. Future students listen to all the reviews from this page- they are all true, avoid her courses if possible. You never pass any of course. If ASU can replace her with someone else that would be ideal. No textbook, and get ready to write alot. One can never know what she truly wants. If she hates you personally, it will reflect on your grade.

The material is standard and teaching is alright too. However, I recommend not taking this class if you are a graduate student. I agree with many other reviewers on how she treats students - its just that she adds a little extra something for the graduate students. I don't think the knowledge you gain is worth the way you are treated in class

Lectures were atrocious; I would leave class feeling as if I didnt learn anything. Dr. Jennings also thinks that students should teach themselves, but thats not the case with the content which is tough. Im a 3.5+ gpa student seeking medical school entry but could barley pass this class.

It was all online this semester so that helped. She is one the toughest grader- just wouldn't give you any points for any assignment even after following the rubrics. Too many slides - no value add. Also the assignments are useful towards exams.

I am a 4.0 student at asu , this course definitely brought me down. Heard Professor Jennings never gives anything more than a B+ in her course. So watch out folks.

I think I did my very best - but not sure what more the course is looking for from students. The course syllabus is very vague and does not help.

Most of the class is spent giving her opinions. I gave it a few weeks to get better, but it only gets more and more opinion oriented as the class moves on. At this point, the tests will be on her opinion as well

Assignment feedback were not intelligent. No matter how hard you try to convince your view point - there is no way getting credits from Dr. Jennings. She will reply to emails but never for a course related question, always wants students to put them up on Piazza. Exams are very difficult plus the course is material heavy. Worse Prof. at ASU !

Her materials and processes class was interesting, and she was a very amusing professor. However you can learn it on your own. She sometimes seems like she is not all there and can be somewhat confusing. Great professor, not great at teaching. The textbook was also used only once and he put it up on overhead.

The teaching style is completely useless. She is unorganized and doesn't have "time" for anything important. Useless.

I can't even begin to describe how much I dislike Dr. Jennings. It is a shame because she is passionate about the subjects but it doesn't translate to anything useful. If you want unrelated stories and bad attempts at humor this is for you. Expect to teach yourself in her classes. I don't think IEE 300 is particularly hard but she doesn't help

I created an account just to rate this lady. Other than the recorded lectures, Prof. Jennings is not helpful at all during class and goes off topic continuously!! A good chunk of the examples are incomplete so you have to spend time teaching urself. It is so hard not to roast this lady, my roommates couldn't believe my tuition was paying for this.

This class just feels like a trap. Condensing an impossible amount of work into 8 weeks, this course sets you up for failure. Unclear rubrics and no examples makes it difficult to know what she wants in assignments or what to expect in exams. Jennings is already known to be an absolute pain. With such a messy class and bad teacher, you will suffer.

I made an account to rate C. Jennings. She is a disgrace to ASU; ASU has low standards. She once made some power points and lesson plans by directly copying from paid materials she makes you buy. She never bothered to solve a problem herself and simply says, "figure it out" even when asked after class for help. She is lazy and uncaring. IEE300 too

This class is the most impossible class Ive taken at ASU. Cheryl Jennings will assign work alike to a 8hr job. Falling behind the pretext of it being a Session B course, this class has no business being 8 weeks long. Jennings is an AWFUL professor. Eccentric (quite literally loopy) and condescending, this woman has no business teaching. AVOID!

Have you ever had a professor and wondered, "How are they still even teaching"? Jennings is quite literally the embodiment of the traits of a bad professor. Rambling, unclear grading criteria, condescending answers to student questions, unrealistic expectations. If you're looking for a class that feels like a 9-5 job, this is the class for you.

Rude to her students. Does not answer questions and instead tells you that you should know the answer. Makes you jump through hoops when responding to an email. She puts incorrect information regarding tests in multiple places on Canvas all different and expects you to find the right information. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST.

IEE 300 content is not difficult in terms of engineering classes, but Professor Jennings still managed to make it awful. Her lecture videos are hard to follow and getting her to answer questions in class is painful. On top of that, she is super rude, and not approachable. You basically teach yourself all of the content.

If you wanted to, you could never attend lecture. The teacher is completely useless. The only requirement is to watch a bunch of pre-recorded lectures on YouTube. There is a lot of material to cover and it can be confusing. Avoid this teacher.

This professor is horrendous. I have gained no value from the multiple hours of required lecture to watch for this course. Oh, by the way, VIDEOS ARE ON YOUTUBE AND WERE PRE-RECORDED IN 2017. The basic concept of the course is very interesting but the course assembly, grading and lectures are awful in terms of organization and general integration.

In order to access the online course you have to pass a syllabus quiz which asks, I do not joke, what her favorite sport is. You MUST to know her favorite sport in order to even start the class. She will report you for "academic integrity violation" if you give any guidance to other students on this. It's not cute and majorly out of touch.

If there was a petition to remove this professor from ASU there would be well over 800k signatures. She takes every opportunity to belittle you. Content is oversaturated but the course is not difficult. Talks about how much money she makes like bruh.... we are UNI students :') If you are currently taking a course with her my prayers go out to you.

This is probably the most useless class I will ever take. Long lectures every week that are just a bunch of useless ramblings, and lots of articles that don't add to anything either. A typical filler class that just eats time. Jennings really posts any lecture she has given whether it contains pertinent content or not.

Hours and hours worth of passive content. No practice quizzes/tests. Tests worth 60% of the grade but no practice tests or quizzes. Hard grader. Has a bit of an attitude. As others have said, her test info is scattered throughout different places and sometimes contradict.

Everyclass she acts different her emotions keep fluctuating and can be measured in a CRO machine.And also a little paranoid about exam placement and assignments are incredibly heavy and difficult and very very strict, the instructions are very vague on how to proceed about the assignment. Conclusion: A fascinating subject with a misleading title

Took IEE 581 online and I must say, this course is extremely challenging. This professor has heavy requirements to meet on her assignments (30%) Her online lectures are previous recordings of her classes many years ago. Her video lectures dont really cover topics about what she is wanting the students to learn, that may show up on an exam. AVOID.

This is the first class I did not pass while being at ASU. I work full time and have passed every class with the tools the professors provide. This class was horrible. Very strict and there is no way to see your grade I repeat you will have no idea where you stand until the class ends. Stay far away from this professor.

This professor made me change my major. I tried to pass her class two different times and failed both. You might as well not even watch the lectures nor do the homework, as it is worth such a small percent of your grade. If you don't pass one of the three exams that make up your grade, you basically fail the class then and there.

She's the only professor for this class. She made me fail the class twice. Difficult to work with. I recommended taking this course at a different university if you are an ASU student as she is the only professor for this course.

I knew what I was expecting material-wise but not her teaching style. She is really rude and has a comment for everything. She could be happy one second and awful the next. Don't be late to class. Study for the tests because one bad score tanks your grade. Definitely passable if you follow her rules, take notes, and make super detailed cheat sheets

Incredibly rude to students, I'm not asking to be friends but at least be approachable. Had this and IEE300 with her and people in either class agreed she was difficult to deal with. She is quick to give attitude, but super slow to grade papers. If you're taking her class, fill out her Course Eval so the department knows how bad a teacher she is.
